Wir waren zu sechst im Gasthaus Leve. Ich hatte auf der Karte die Lammhaxe mit Bohnen und Bratkartoffeln bestellt. Die Qualität meiner Haxe war in Ordnung. Allerdings kamen die Bratkartoffeln in einer Schüssel für vier Personen. Ich gehe davon aus, daß wenn ich ein Gericht mit Bratkartoffeln bestelle, nicht meine Bratkartoffeln mit vier Personen teilen muss. Für 29 Euro kann man schon eigene Bratkartoffeln erwarten. Es wurde zwar auf Anfrage noch mal Kartoffeln gebracht, aber das Gesicht des Kellners sprach Bände.

The kitchen is impressive, I haven't had such good fries 🍟 in a long time, everything else is also very good and the taste is impressive. Rustic but OK. Service - one for everyone, including a bowling alley, a bit scarce, but still tolerable. Gladly again.

I remembered it as good, but it has deteriorated considerably. The rooms were spoiled and in need of renovation, like everything else. No dinner on Tuesday, breakfast deteriorated considerably; rolls were hard and of poor quality. A real shame.

I'd like to comment on this kind reaction, as I find this kind of distortion of reality somewhat inappropriate. Firstly, I was very rudely asked to change tables, even though there were still four large tables available, but I happily changed them without, as they put it, any discussion. I don't think even polite people would mind the fact that I took off my shoes in a corner where no one could see me (and certainly not my bare feet) (in 30° heat). I was asked if I enjoyed the food, and I said it was okay and wasn't as enthusiastic as they portrayed it. The fact that my debit card didn't work is probably more because they didn't see the fee (as they themselves admitted) for card payments. The fact that the bank automatically sends you a combined debit and Visa card, even though the system isn't yet standardized (we discussed that too), is less my fault, I think. Apart from calling it skipping the bill, even though I paid my "bill" immediately after opening the next day, I think that explains the whole thing sufficiently (that, as someone who has been in a social work profession for 25 years, I certainly have no intention of skipping anyone's bill!!!). It's outrageous to call it that, since it's certainly never happened in my 45 years of life. I found it a bit presumptuous that I politely asked if I could bring some food and was initially told, in what I considered a very accusatory tone, that it would take at least an hour and a half, since they weren't cooking just for me. Just to clarify your very detailed comment!!! The fact that you have time to write such a long text, but some customers see a waiter/waitress for the first time a full half hour after they arrive, I think is a bit disproportionate in this context, but never mind. I think the lady at the next table felt the same way. Nevertheless, I wish you all the best for your restaurant. You certainly won't see me or my colleagues from the university hospital there again, and perhaps next time you'll be a bit more productive in dealing with your customers' complaints, because, to put it briefly, you're still service providers.
