Delicious food. Generous portions. First autumn menu. Wild goulash with red cabbage and späzle. Very nice location near the castle park and the Rhine. Friendly service.

Nettes kleines gemütliches Lokal. Wir waren schon mehrmals dort, aber heute muss ich einfach mal eine Bewerbung abgebe. Das Essen war immer lecker, aber das Frankfurter Schnitzel gestern war ausgezeichnet. Sehr gute knusprige Panade und eine tolle grüne Sauce. Rundum gelungen. Außerdem ist das Personal ausgesprochen freundlich. Es macht Sinn zu reservieren, da immer gut besucht.

I was in Wiesbaden for work and on my last night I had to get my schnitzel fix. Service was great and the food was phenomenal. Nice portions plus very healthy pours of wine. The thing that put this restaurant over the top was what they did after I paid and left. My rental car was towed and they went out of their way to locate the car and not only that, Kevin, one of the workers there drove me to pick up my car and wouldn’t take anything for his troubles. He summed it up perfectly when he said he was just doing the humane thing and take care of people. This will be the only restaurant I eat at when I come back to Wiesbaden. Bravo Zum Engel!

Was here for the first time today. Very nice and attentive service. Saddle of venison and pheasant were incredibly tasty. It's nice that something like this exists. We'll definitely be back!

The food was edible, but not so good that I would go back for the food. The soup was too salty, the apple strudel appeared to have been thawed and was covered in a completely inappropriate chocolate sauce. The main course was actually satisfactory. The waiters were strange to say the least.

We had a good experience eating dinner at this restaurant. They do not speak English but we used our translation app on our phones and were able to order. Food was delicious. Authentic German cuisine. They also run a beer garden across the street

Just great! Since October we have been back under familiar management and we are very happy. The food is simply great. Home cooking, just like mom's, freshly cooked and super delicious. In the weekly menu you will find alternating daily specials that round off the menu and everything is recommended. Reservations are recommended as it is always very busy (again). Price-performance top!

Very bad in all respects, completely overwhelmed staff. Long waiting time, empty glasses, catastrophic food. Things used to be good here. 1 star is still too much.
