Restaurant Uhrturm in Wiesbaden

Nettes kleines gemütliches Lokal. Wir waren schon mehrmals dort, aber heute muss ich einfach mal eine Bewerbung abgebe. Das Essen war immer lecker, aber das Frankfurter Schnitzel gestern war ausgezeichnet. Sehr gute knusprige Panade und eine tolle grüne Sauce. Rundum gelungen. Außerdem ist das Personal ausgesprochen freundlich. Es macht Sinn zu reservieren, da immer gut besucht.

Arrived at 4:30. No reservation but the waiter worked me in. Ordered the schnitzel with Frankfurt green sauce and a beer. Schnitzel was wonderfully crispy and green sauce was good. Also came with lemon and potatoes and even a boiled egg so I could enjoy the green sauce separately with the potatoes. One of my best meals on my trip.

Laut Aushang gab es Backhendl - in der Regel ein halbes Hähnchen mit dicker Kruste und innen leckeres saftiges Fleisch. Serviert wurden 3 kleine Hähnchen-Schnitzel, gewürzt war nur die Panade, das Fleisch hätte auch durchaus etwas Vegetarisches sein können - echt enttäuschend.

Auf einem Städtetrip kehrten wir im Restaurant zum Uhrturm ein. Wir wurden nett empfangen und wurden auch in puncto Essen nicht enttäuscht. Das Schnitzel war schön paniert und die Bratkartoffeln mit grüner Soße lecker. Die Weinkarte ist auch empfehlenswert. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und kommen wieder.

I’m absolutely obsessed with the schnitzel at this place! It was absolutely delicious and so filling. The fried potatoes were so good too. Restaurant was a bit hot at the beginning but we were all comfortable by the end of the meal.

I can only recommend home-style cooking

Friendly staff, fantastic food (Köttbiten with spiced butter) and a nice atmosphere in the outdoor dining area.

There is a special lunch menu. I ate tomato soup and schnitzel. Enjoyed delicious food in a quiet room If I visit this area again... I will definitely visit again

Asparagus with shreds shouldn't be a big challenge. 5 (five) thin asparagus of poor quality (watery and quite tasteless) with boiled potatoes with melted butter and a fried pork schnitzel for 29€ That is not how it works. I've been to the clock tower several times and have always been happy, but today? When paying, the waitress pointed this out - answer: I'll tell the chef, that's all. That was it for me too. Addendum: 5 thin stalks of asparagus weigh about 150 grams, = purchase price of this quality is about €10 per kg, so about €1.50 for my portion!!!!!

Beautiful traditional German restaurant in the heart of Wiesbaden. The food is perfect. Atmosphere is also very pleasant. Service is great! I recommend de the asparagus soup and the schnitzel. Both are great!

Sparrissäsong! En extra sparrismeny fanns i den tyska menyn, fråga gärna servitrisen. Uhrturm är en traditionell tysk restaurang med klassisk inredning och mysig miljö. Jag beställde kalvschnitzel med sparris och är egentligen inget fan av schnitzel men den var okej. Sparrisen däremot var fantastiskt god! Portionen var stor så jag orkade inte äta upp allt, är du mer sugen på att prova just sparrisen så kan du beställa sparris med potatis och sås. Hollandaise är väl den som anses mest klassisk, men den gröna ärtsåsen var väldigt god :) skulle gärna gå dit igen.

I went in at 12:00 on Wednesday and was lucky, there was a table available. (All tables outside were free). My request for a warm (room temperature, not refrigerator) apple juice was fulfilled after I asked. He was friendly and courteous throughout all communication with the service staff. A la carte I then ordered the beef liver with K-porridge, onions and apple pieces, with a side salad. The salad came quite quickly and was fresh and crunchy with carrots, lettuce, tomatoes, rocket and cucumber. The dressing was very good because it wasn't too sour. The beef liver took a while, but was quite reasonable. But it was very well fried, really good. Not too dry and not too raw, so right on point. The onions took a little getting used to, but that doesn't mean they were bad, just not my personal taste. The apple pieces were absolutely delicate and also right to the point. Greatly adapted to round off the dish very tasty overall. Everyone can decide for themselves whether 18.50 is a lot for that. For me personally, the price is adjusted to the very good quality and is definitely justified. You can argue about the price of 6.50 for the salad, but you don't have to. Here too, I personally think the price is absolutely right. After all, I got tasty quality. And I was happy to give a tip of 5. I absolutely recommend the restaurant and will go there more often.

La fameuse sauce verte aux 7 herbes était très bonne. J'ai prise avec du fromage de tête persillé, très bon aussi. Service correct. , rien d'extraordinaire. Voys mangerez directement sur la table en bois, parmi des clients allemands, plutôt âgés. Chien autorisé

Had dinner here last weekend. We both had the schnitzel with mushroom sauce, he added onions to his. Add the onions!! Extra delicious :) Dessert was nice, but not quite as nice as the main meal. Soft drinks a bit pricy. Service was great and the staff were lovely and friendly. Will definitely go again!

Waren zum Kongress in der Stadt, spät angereist und suchten etwas zum verweilen. In diesem Restaurant haben wir uns sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt, die Bedienung aufmerksam, die Gerichte äußerst schmackhaft, eher eine rustikal Küche. Haben lange ausgeharrt, freundliches Personal.

Grüne Soße und Seelachsfilet sind super! But the price is indeed slightly higher than that of ordinary German restaurants If you just want to experience German style, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Service, food, and atmosphere is fabulous 👌 love this place. It is more of the high-end (price wise). The lunch set menu is available as well. In the evening, it's always packed. Better make the reservation. Highly recommended!!!

Great place! Classic, deliciously prepared German cuisine, excellent service, very pleasant waiters, interior, atmosphere, everything is perfect. Have returned more than once. I recommend it from the bottom of my heart! Ideal price/quality ratio. The portions are huge.

(First visit on January 19, 2024) We came here on a recommendation and were not disappointed: Very tasty dishes (green sauce, pollack, pancakes) that were attractively served by the attentive staff and were still moderately priced left a pleasant overall impression! We were there on the same day as the user who gave a 1 star review before us and noticed the drama from the gentleman as well as the entire restaurant. We were shocked at how guests can behave like that, it's just embarrassing how inhumane they can be! The waitress was still very nice and courteous with the gentleman...even though he was just terribly loud and disturbing. In any case, the food, service and ambience were just TOP! The gentleman should learn to do better research on the internet instead of looking for old menus and asking for the old prices. Next time just learn to cook and eat at home instead of going to the restaurant and ruining the other guests' day. We were very impressed and definitely recommend this restaurant

The food is excellent. Very high praise. Very very good quality. But €28.50 for a veal schnitzel is really brutal. Hence a star deduction.

I have no word for service and the atmosphere but you can find better schnitzel and fries in the market frozen food section

You won't get any fancy food here, but the quality of the classic cuisine is very good. The service is also very friendly.

It's really, really, really kind and warm. There was no English menu for the lunch menu, so I showed them the menu on the restaurant's website linked to Google and asked about it, and they kindly provided me with guidance. However, since there may be no garnish, it would be a good idea to look at the menu composition and add it accordingly.

Small "old" restaurant. Service seemed overwhelmed at times but was extremely nice. The zucchini noodles and burrata were extremely tasty. I found it a bit drafty in the dining room, at least when it was below zero outside.

Rustic restaurant in a unique historic building. Excellent service. Unfortunately not a good place for vegetarians/vegans. However, opportunities are opened up.

Estuve visitando la ciudad y no sabiamos donde comer y consulte google y nos remitió a este restaurante como el mejor de la zona (no se equivoco). Comimos muy bien con platos consistentes. Con un plato, ya te quedas lleno. El servicio correcto y atento. Si regreso a esta ciudad volvería sin duda.

Unbedingt reservieren. Sehr nettes , kleines Lokal. Das Hacksteak und das Champion Rahm Schnitzel waren sehr lecker. Das Personal ist total nett, aufmerksam und flexibel. Am Nachbartisch durfte der Wein erst probiert werden, bevor sich der Herr für einen von zweien entschieden hat.

We missed going there this past summer, they were closed for vacation, I was bummed out because they have the best schnitzel! So when we came back for the Christmas Markets, we reserved a table as soon as we landed in Germany. The food is always amazing, equaled by the staff. We have been there with a small family group to a large group and the experience is delightful every time. Reserve in advance, they get booked up fast, you will not be disappointed.

Absolut empfehlenswert! Freundliche Bedienung, leckeres und preiswertes Essen. Ich wählte das Mittagsmenü für 13€ , grüne Sauce mit Salzkartoffeln und einer Suppe als Vorspeise. Auch das Ehepaar am Nebentisch war voll des Lobes.

Haben sehr gut gegessen und sehr freundlicher Service. Und vielen Dank für den Tisch freihalten, da wir das Handy für den Impfnachweis vergessen hatten. Kommen gerne wieder!

Ich war hier schon einige Male. Was ich vorfand, war ein tolles rundum Angebot. Man wird mich dort auf jedenfall auch 2024 dort wieder sehen. Frohe Weihnachten wünsche ich allen Mitarbeitern.

It was my first visit to Frankfurt, Germany and I really wanted to try some authentic German lunch. Thanks to Googles recommendation I found this place right on the high street. It's as authentic as it comes. Amazing experience.

The food was great! Service was spot on. It was difficult finding a restaurant that actually serves good German food, in Wiesbaden. This was a good choice.

Wenn wieder Wiesbaden dann auch mit Sicherheit Uhrturm.

Preis Leistungsverhältnis super. Hab mich mal wieder an ein Hackbraten gefüllt mit Fetakäse, gewagt. War wirklich sehr gut, kann man nur empfehlen. Bin gelernter Koch!!

This place was awesome while visiting Germany.

Mittags von Dienstag bis Freitag kleine Gerichte mit Suppe oder Salat von der Tageskarte. Schmeckt und reicht aus.

By far the best German restaurant I have tried. I ordered the Frankfurt schnitzel and it was delicious. I also need to say that the waiters were very friendly and we could pay with credit card.
