Unfortunately, the outdoor service wasn't impressive. You definitely need a lot of time and patience... at first, we were treated like air, but after a while, we got a table - it took a while again until we got a menu... drinks, yes, did arrive, and we had to wait another 30 minutes for two salads. With a bill of €41 for two small salads, 4-5 slices of bread, a small fruit juice spritzer, and a non-alcoholic beer, the restaurant still gets a relatively good three-star rating.

We made a reservation for a family birthday on March 2nd, 2025 and received the reservation confirmation for Saturday, March 15th, 2025 at 5 p.m. on March 3rd, 2025. We received a call 22 hours beforehand saying there had been a mistake with the subsequent reservation and that unfortunately we could only stay until 7:30 p.m. I hate being lied to if you want to occupy a table twice in the evening, no problem but you don't let us know 22 hours in advance! The soups and the first main courses were unfortunately lukewarm, but the service was very attentive and courteous. Unfortunately, my starter didn't arrive until the main courses, but here too the response was very pleasant and apologetic. Personally, I have a mixed opinion about the ambience, I think the ceiling and lamps are great, the tables and chairs as well as corner benches are ok, but could use some modernization. Top, bottom, well. So we had to and were allowed to move on at 7:30 p.m. and spend the evening in another restaurant. My personal experience and opinion.

The food was excellent, the service was very friendly and attentive, but the ambience leaves a lot to be desired. A refresh is in order, overall it's not really comfortable and it's a little outdated. (visit 2019)

Very disappointing visit - unfriendly waiter We were at the Paulaner Beer Garden in Stuttgart on April 11th, 2025 at 12:45 p.m. and were really looking forward to a nice lunch. Unfortunately we were completely offended: the waiter was extremely unfriendly and disrespectful. When we spoke to us, sentences like “shut up” and “don’t interfere” were actually used – a tone that is in no way acceptable, especially not in service. We were speechless and didn't feel welcome at all as guests. The fact that something like this is possible in a renowned beer garden is really disappointing. It's a shame, we definitely won't be coming back - and unfortunately we can't recommend this place after this experience.

Sitting here in the sun after work: divine! One star deducted because there are no Baden wines on the menu 😉 That's how it works in the Baden-Württemberg capital, right!

I was traveling on business and happened to drive past here. From the food to the service to the cleanliness and price performance, it was just really great 👍👍👍👍👍 would be happy to do it again

We didn't like it that much. Service had problems communicating. Salad was good. Kässpatzen were nothing special. You don't have to go there for that.

We had our wedding celebration in the closest circle of 16 people in the Hexle. Everything was just perfect. The communication in advance was always friendly and ran smoothly. We were able to discuss everything according to our ideas with those responsible. Special requests, such as a vegan menu for three of the guests, were also made possible. It was also ideal that those traveling from further away could stay in the adjacent Hotel Gloria. The ambience (in the beautiful winter garden), service and food at the celebration were all top notch. Our guests were just as enthusiastic as we were. Also from the hotel. That's exactly what you want for a day like this. A big compliment to the entire staff. And of course you can also stop by Hexle without a special occasion and have an excellent meal!

As a Indian I’m a spice food lover 😊 living Stuttgart since 1 year and try few German restaurant in main city but forgot the taste but today I’m here steinhalde for company dinner and food that I try first time is excellent amazing and unforgettable taste I’m sure is the best restaurant for Swabian food everything is Super tasty im totally satisfy wish to visit aging with family 🙏🏼

An absolute recommendation for anyone who would like to enjoy Swabian cuisine. Children are also welcome here. Food was really good, the price was absolutely great.

Very nice stay, very friendly staff, of course with a great view of the boiler.
