The steak was a bit dry, but the beer was pretty good.

The restaurant is easily accessible on foot and there is a nearby parking garage about 5 minutes away. The food in the restaurant is tasty and the prices are also reasonable. The service is attentive and friendly; We have always received very friendly and courteous service. Unfortunately, the noise level in the restaurant is very high, so that talking to the other person becomes tiring because you constantly have to address the background noise. We were there with our baby, who is only 2 months old, and unfortunately we had to leave after 40 minutes due to the noise. Conclusion: The restaurant is located in the middle of Stuttgart and offers good home-style food at fair prices.

Great brewery. Went past spontaneously and got a table for 2. The service staff is very courteous, well-positioned and responds to every customer request. The food is very tasty and the price/performance ratio is absolutely good. Top👍 - recommended.

Had Brauhaus schnitzel with fries and cheese spaetzle with onions. 2 stars for food: Fries 1 star, were bland, floury and cold Schnitzel 4 stars, meat was tender, breading was ok. Spaetzle 3 stars, you can notice the convenience food here 2 stars for service: Had to share the table with strangers, that wasn't a problem for us. But chaos and misunderstandings when ordering were inevitable. The wrong food was delivered promptly. Beer and ambience were good.

Worst Moscow Mule I've ever had, I like to drink this cocktail often, but this one didn't work at all. When asked whether this drink could be exchanged, the response was very unfriendly. The drink was then changed twice more (each time the drink got worse and the staff became unfriendly) I know it's not a must to exchange drinks and it's the restaurant's decision, but a little tip to the guys: it's just better for business not to exchange a €8 cocktail, we then paid for the drinks and left them completely full and left there really very dissatisfied, you should also work on how you deal with customers, we said it very nicely and we were treated so badly as a result. Sorry just doesn't work in my opinion...

The weather was great and we were able to sit outside with a great view of the Schlossplatz. The food was very good and the service was very nice despite the full house.

Although the restaurant was very, very busy, we managed to get a seat in the evening even without a reservation. We were even allowed to move around again later. Everything is very uncomplicated. The service was TOP - very, very friendly, attentive and quick. The food was GREAT - any special requests were met without any problems. The fried potatoes are awesome 😋 At the end we even took the happy hour with us - the cocktail selection was SUPER for a brewery. CONCLUSION - We'll come back next time we visit.

We always enjoy going to the CARLS Brauhaus. You simply feel welcome here! The dishes are not only very tasty and down-to-earth, but also always beautifully prepared - and with little waiting time! I rarely write reviews - but I can only find praiseworthy words for this brewery! We as a family come regularly and are ALWAYS very satisfied!

Sure, a large company in a prominent location that also targets tourists. We are always happy about the committed and friendly service, delicious local/regional food and, in addition to the standards, exceptional drinks such as the beer cocktails.

While spontaneously looking for dinner on an early summer day, we decided on the brewery and didn't regret it. We got a seat quickly and the food was super quick and delicious. Price/performance appropriate. Great service - always friendly and quick despite being full.

When we go shopping in Stuttgart or go on a trip, we like to stop there. Everything has become more expensive, but still good value for money and nice service.

I had dinner here with my family today, it was all well and good, but when we ordered drinks we replaced a small cola with an elderberry spritzer, and this also happened. Later, when I had already paid and I took the receipt with me, I noticed that the cola had been charged! The waiter also asked for a tip, which as far as I know is voluntary, which bothered us a bit!

Although we fit perfectly at two tables pushed together, we would have had to eat inside when the sun was shining, as 4 or more people have to sit inside. We went to another restaurant for lunch, so I can't judge the quality of the food.

In my opinion, not a tourist trap at all. The food was excellent, we had the Swabian plate (consisting of breaded veal schnitzel, a piece of pork fillet, Maultaschen and cheese spaetzle) and the Maultaschen with potato salad as a side dish; Both dishes were fresh, well seasoned and very tasty, the veal schnitzel was "like grandma's" and the spaetzle was excellent. Although we arrived early on Saturday afternoon and it was almost full, we only had to wait two minutes for a free table. The waiters were very attentive and quickly served us food and drink. Here I recommend the homemade shandy, which is beer-heavy (which I don't mean in a negative way). A small point deduction for the ambience - since the brewery was full, it was a bit louder at times, which can't really be blamed on the brewery.

Can't really say anything bad. Location is great, food is good, staff are friendly. I was just a bit annoyed today. Previously, you could order and pick up by phone. Apparently that doesn't work anymore. I found out after trying to call for half an hour.

The place is just way too loud, there are too many people there and you can't have a decent conversation. Not a cozy atmosphere. The food is ok. The service is really good for the stress it has. But all in all a negative experience.

Food good, atmosphere is good, if you don't speak German and are the bar expected to be treated like a ghost. Not surprising for Germany. Service has really gone down hill from the last time I routined here. I basically no longer feel welcome. Sad..

We bought Hausgemachte kasspatzle and dinkelacker CD pils, the portion is quite good, it is even suitable for 2 people if you are just trying to taste and snack. If you're hungry, of course it's for one person. The beer was delicious. The waitress is very friendly, she even asks if everything is okay, by the way, our experience in other places is that you should not expect that much friendliness. The view is also great.

The food was delicious! The place is really big inside but a few tables outside where you have to sit with strangers if you go alone or as a couple. the staff works professionally! It’s a little loud and crowded in the evening. Outrageous that they charge 6€ for a small bowl of coleslaw salad 😡!

Unfortunately the price doesn't match. Schnitzel with fried potatoes €27.50. Side dishes were a small half handful of potatoes that didn't taste like “fried potatoes”. Service was ok

5 stars – highly recommended! Carls Brauhaus is definitely one of the addresses in Stuttgart if you are looking for delicious food, good service and a great ambience. The food was simply great. Particularly noteworthy is the attentive and friendly service: the entire team was courteous, quick and always with a smile. The location could hardly be better - centrally located on Schlossplatz, right in the heart of the city. Whether for a relaxed lunch, a cozy dinner or a stopover while strolling through town: Carls Brauhaus is always a good choice. I'll definitely come back when I'm in Stuttgart.

Perfect location and super friendly staff. The food was fine - nothing more, nothing less.

Food wasn't that great. Ordered the pork hock which should be fresh, but not really. Crust was really hard to chew, felt like a pre-made. Weird smell came from the floor. I am pretty sure there are other delicious food on the menu but we just missed it. Service was really good tho!

Steak was perfectly cooked and buttery tender; However, if you take the garlic bread, you should keep in mind that you will still smell it later, but it is extremely tasty. I never managed to take a photo of the steak, it was too good. Our waitress Dimi was also in a great mood and would be happy to serve promptly again.

The salad was great, plus a world-class shandy! The Fammkuchen was also tested. Super!

The staff was attentive. We tried Maultasche and pulled pork burger. Maultasche wasn't bad, it was like a normal ravioli. But the pulled pork burger was delicious. Prices are considered reasonable. I recommend.

The stakes were definitely not too big. However they were cooked well. There were not too much attention. I guess that was okay. And we didn't have to put in the effort of paying the tip. They managed that themselves quite extravagantly.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't that good; the Maultaschen soup wasn't even lukewarm. My roast beef with onions was tough, and that for 31 euros, what a shame. Since I once had problems sending food back, I ate it, no matter what. The staff were very friendly, and the ambiance was nice and appropriate. It's a huge restaurant with a lot of customers. The quality probably sometimes suffers.

Homemade beers are very successful and prices are reasonable. I especially highly recommend Dinkelacker Cd Pils.

It can't be helped that I went without a reservation and couldn't get in, but the staff was the worst. The first uncle told me to go to the back, so I went there, and the lady in the back told me to line up at the entrance, and even though I told her to go to the back, she didn't bother me. When I went back to the entrance and lined up again, I was told that I couldn't get in without a reservation, so I couldn't get in in the end. If you don't want to have a bad experience, make a reservation, of course.

It’s big, it’s noisy, and the food is not exceptional. After reading the reviews, I realize that I too fell into the tourist trap by giving a generous tip. In the end, it was quite an average experience. From the moment I entered the place, I could sense the overwhelming size of the restaurant. It felt crowded, and the noise level was far from pleasant. The atmosphere didn’t seem to offer the charm or intimacy I expected. As for the food, while it wasn’t bad, it certainly didn’t live up to the hype. The dishes were average, with no distinct flavors or remarkable presentation to make them stand out. For the price I paid, I had hoped for something more memorable. Reflecting on the experience, I now realize that I had been swept up in the excitement, perhaps expecting too much because of the location or the popularity of the place. The staff seemed more focused on turning tables quickly than offering a personalized, high-quality service. Giving a generous tip in such an environment didn’t feel as rewarding as I had hoped. Overall, it was a letdown, as the whole experience was far from exceptional, and I felt like I could have spent my time and money elsewhere for a much better dining experience.

Great pork knuckle here. Half portion would have been suffice for 1 person. Look for "Schweinshaxe" on the menu. Perfect service from the waitress with great recommendation on the beer and sides to go with. Great experience, would definitely recommend everyone to try if you are in stuttgart
