I was here on Valentine's Day and I have to say I was thrilled. The food and service are simply great. I couldn't have imagined the evening to be better. Once again a big compliment to the service and also to the kitchen, which is simply great

The Hexle is a nice, home-style restaurant not too far from the Frozen venue - you can walk there if you're good on foot. We celebrated my wife's 70th birthday with 4 adults and two children. Food, service and ambience were fine. However, it was expensive fun. That might be common practice in Stuttgart. I still wouldn't go there just because I'm hungry. If the cheapest dish on the menu is €20 I could think of better ways to spend the money.

The food was tasty but doesn't do justice to the ambitious price. Overall, a very good mid-range restaurant, but unfortunately it charges high-end prices.

Completely satisfied! Reservation process online very smooth and fast. The map is very diverse and leaves nothing to be desired. In addition to Swabian classics, the menu also includes great starters and desserts. It's also nice that vegetarian dishes don't stop at spaetzle and salad but also have sophisticated ideas such as stuffed aubergine to choose from.

This Friday we celebrated our civil wedding in the Möhringer Hexle. The communication in advance was very good: planning the party was totally uncomplicated and people were happy to take pictures at their own request. We were allowed to put together our own menu and the decorations were also easy to organize ourselves! 👍🏻 If you had any questions, you could always follow up by phone or email. About the festival itself: both the food and the ambience and service were excellent. Our guests and we ourselves were consistently enthusiastic about the quality of both aspects. We have only received positive feedback from our guests. 👍🏻 About payment: The prices are fair and we were able to make payment easily on site. Everything great. We would like to thank the Möhringer Hexle for the great organization and the successful festival! 👍🏻☺️

Wir waren dort im Dezember essen. Ich gehe viel in Stuttgart essen, deshalb kann ich Restaurants gut vergleichen. Das Essen war geschmacklich in Ordnung, aber nicht herausragend. Umso enttäuschter war ich über die Portionsgrößen und die Preise. Total überteuert und wir waren alle selbst nach einer Nachspeise noch hungrig. Selbst die Getränke sind total überteuert. Beispiel: Bei Breuninger kostet ein Aperol Spritz 7,50 Euro, hier kostet er 9,50 Euro. Wir werden hier alle nie wieder hingehen.

The three of us had dinner here. At the beginning of the year (January 2nd, 2025) the new menu was still in the works. There was a reduced menu. The atmosphere is nice and upscale. We felt comfortable. We all enjoyed and enjoyed the food.

When you walk into the restaurant, especially from the back, you think you've landed back in the eighties and nineties. The restaurant was surprisingly well staffed and right at the beginning of the restaurant we were greeted by two very friendly service staff, the service was very old school, courteous and friendly, but the food was absolutely amazing, we haven't had such a great meal in a long time. A special recommendation is the roast beef, but overall I have to say it's simply fantastic, regardless of whether there's the latest trendy furniture there: it's definitely worth a visit

Excellent food in a rustic, well-kept atmosphere. The service is pleasant, reliable and fast. The rooms seem a bit old, but that adds to the coziness. And as long as everything is clean and functions perfectly, a restaurant can appear a little older. Thank you for the pleasant evening we had with you at Hexle!

A typical location but without particular characteristics, a little confusing. They welcomed us right away and were kind. Not very quick in serving the dishes but the quality made up for the wait. The wild boar and venison dishes are good. Price a little high overall

Nice and cozy sitting in an old-fashioned setting with a modern twist. Smaller menu which is not a problem, but on the more expensive side. E.g. 1 glass of coke for 4 euros. Wine was almost 8 euros, but they had a small carafe where one could still fill a fully filled glass. The portions of the different dishes are noticeably different, for example. The vegetarian ravioli you get 7 rather flat pillows with some green flower sprigs on top and that's it as a main course. Take for example: Spatze with meat is a tower high...

Visit on Saturday, May 18, 2024 in the evening During our Pentecost holiday, we had dinner at the Möhringer Hexle at the Hotel Gloria, which is located in the same building. The restaurant is located in Stuttgart's "Möhringen" district - free parking spaces are available in front of the restaurant. The restaurant advertises with the slogan: "Visiting friends" - this is intended to give the guest the feeling that trained and helpful staff are available to answer any questions, whether advice on choosing the food or the right wine. We were able to confirm this impression in the two hours! When I booked the hotel, I also ordered a table in advance, which was confirmed to me. Even a subsequent change in the time for dinner was implemented correctly - very good service. After entering, we were greeted by the restaurant management and shown our table. The tea light at the table was already lit, as was at all the other tables, including the unoccupied ones - the card was then handed to us by an employee. An order: - Hugo (aperitif) 0.20l for €8.50 > the Hugo, had a lemon included - that's not completely wrong, but in the cocktail world, the participants here tend to prefer lime. - Radler 0.4l for €5.50 > The service person did not ask for the size (0.3l or 0.4l) when taking the order and then brought 0.4l - Asparagus foam soup with roasted almonds for €9.90 > very good and with the foam and the almonds not a standard like everywhere else - Pork fillet tips with morel cream sauce and butter linguine for €22.90 > very fine dish and delicious - Parmesan risotto with fresh green asparagus for €14.90 > There were 3 asparagus tips on the dish, there could have been a little more, in general it tasted good - Homemade crème brulée for €9.00 > basically delicious, but it was already prepared and cold, for this price I would have liked it warm - Basil sorbet with fresh marinated strawberries for €9.50 > good matching dessert - Peach brandy 2cl for €6.50 - Averna 4cl for €5.00 ******************************** Summary: The service of the house is generally good, except for the point mentioned. The taste of the dishes was at a good, high level. The price/performance ratio is in the slightly upper middle range and the respective guest also has expectations of the respective house. Regarding the ambience, we both had the same result, so that the tables are a little too close together, so that when everything is occupied you have little privacy - this is the same obstacle in the hotel's breakfast room. Basically, we can recommend the Möhringer Hexle and we wish everyone a good time, stay healthy.

Besuch am Samstag, 18. Mai 2024 abends Während unseres Pfingsturlaubes, haben wir durch das im gleichen Haus liegende Hotel Gloria, ein Abendessen im Möhringer Hexle verbracht. Das Restaurant liegt im Stuttgarter Stadtbezirk "Möhringen" - kostenlose Parkplätze stehen vor dem Restaurant am Haus zur Verfügung. Das Restaurant wirbt mit dem Slogan: "Zu Gast bei Freunden" - dies soll dem Gast das Gefühl geben, dass geschultes und hilfsbereites Personal für alle Fragen, ob Beratung bei der Wahl der Speisen oder des passenden Weins, zur Verfügung steht. Diesen Eindruck konnten wir in den zwei Stunden bestätigen! Vorab bei Hotelbuchung habe ich auch einen Tisch bestellt, welcher mir rückbestätigt wurde. Auch eine nachträgliche Veränderung der Uhrzeit für das Abendessen, wurde korrekt umgesetzt - sehr guter Service. Vor Ort nach Eintreten, wurden wir durch die Restaurantleitung begrüßt und unser Tisch gezeigt. Das Teelicht am Tisch, war bereits entzündet, wie auch an allen anderen Tischen, auch an den unbesetzten - die Karte wurde uns in Folge, durch einen Mitarbeiter überreicht. Bestellung: - Hugo (Aperitif) 0,20l für 8,50 € > der Hugo, hatte eine Zitrone inklusive - ist nicht komplett verkehrt, aber in der Cocktailwelt, ist hier eher die Limette der Teilnehmer. - Radler 0,4l für 5,50 € > Servicekraft hat bei Bestellaufnahme, nicht die Größe (0,3l oder 0,4l) erfragt und in Folge dann 0,4l gebracht - Spargelschaumsuppe mit gerösteten Mandeln für 9,90 € > sehr gut und mit dem Schaum und den Mandeln kein Standard wie überall - Filetspitzen vom Schwein mit Morchelrahmsauce und Butter-Linguine für 22,90 € > sehr feines Gericht und lecker - Parmesanrisotto mit frischem grünen Spargel für 14,90 € > ganze 3 Spargelspitzen waren auf dem Gericht, hätte etwas mehr sein können, grundsätzlich hat es gut geschmeckt - Hausgemachte Crème Brulée für 9,00 € > grundsätzlich lecker, allerdings war diese bereits vorgerichtet und in kalter Form gewesen, für diesen Preis hätte ich es mir gerne warm gewünscht - Basilikumsorbet mit frischen marinierten Erdbeeren für 9,50 € > gutes passendes Dessert - Pfirsichbrand 2cl für 6,50 € - Averna 4cl für 5,00 € ****************************** Zusammenfassung: Der Service des Hauses ist grundsätzlich gut, bis auf den angesprochenen Punkt. Die Speisen waren geschmacklich auf gutem hohem Niveau. Das Preis-/Leistungs-Verhältnis ist im leicht oberen mittleren Bereich angesiedelt und dementsprechend hat der jeweilige Gast auch Erwartungen an das jeweilige Haus. Bzgl. dem Ambiente, haben wir beide das gleiche Ergebnis gehabt, sodass die Tische etwas zu eng aneinander stehen, sodass wenn alles besetzt ist, man wenig Privatsphäre hat - dies ist im Hotel im Frühstücksraum, dasselbe Hindernis. Grundsätzlich können wir das Möhringer Hexle weiterempfehlen und wir wünschen allen eine gute Zeit, bleiben Sie gesund.

We felt very comfortable. A lovely seasonal cuisine, very friendly service and the food was absolutely delicious. As a main course we had roast onion with spaetzle and veal schnitzel in caper-lemon butter with parmesan risotto. We would definitely love to come back!

Last fall we were able to celebrate our civil wedding at Hexle with 22 guests. From the selection of the menu to the design and decoration of the ballroom, the champagne reception with snacks and the selection of music, we felt very well advised and looked after. The test meal, which we carried out anonymously in advance, was also a complete success (which ultimately led many to decide on the Hexle). Special requests were responded to in a very friendly and competent manner, both during the planning and on the day of the celebration. Our positive overall picture was rounded off with perfect service throughout the afternoon. We would be happy to come back for future celebrations, but also for a cozy meal at the weekend and can highly recommend the Möhringer Hexle to everyone with a clear conscience. On warm days, a spot on the back terrace is recommended.

There is a slightly more upscale cuisine here, but only two vegan dishes. I chose the colorful vegetables and unfortunately had to return the eggplants they contained - they were rock hard. It's a shame for the money - it's not cheap here.

Delicious food and top service. The excellent quality definitely justifies the higher prices of the food. Drink prices for soft drinks are borderline. What is particularly noteworthy is that last time I had a soup that wasn't really tasty, but my complaint was handled extremely professionally. Changing the supplement is also possible without any problems. Very accommodating and customer focused. Highly recommended are the absolutely perfect veal schnitzel, the filter tips and the Hexenpfännle. The salad is fresh and has great components. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We'd love to come back.

After the musical, we wanted to have something to drink within opening hours and were rudely told that the drinks should be consumed elsewhere. To be fair, we were each served another drink. Unfortunately, in our opinion, the drinks prices were significantly too high.

We went to Hexle for dinner. We received a very friendly welcome. The service is very accommodating. The food was very tasteful and beautifully presented. For the little ones there is a children's menu (chips, nuggets, vegetables, steak) We felt very comfortable and can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience.

We went there for dinner on Christmas Day. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. Our dog was immediately given a bowl of water by the waitress. My husband ordered a game goulash with spaetzle. My son and his wife each had a roast with spaetzle. I had a little problem because I'm a vegetarian. There was only one vegetarian or vegan dish, I can't remember exactly. But I didn't like that. The waitress came to meet me and brought me two small pieces of potato gratin. I also got mushroom cream sauce and a winter leaf salad. I would have liked to have been more careful when pouring the sauce into the gravy boat. Likewise on some plates. We then also had dessert: two scoops of ice cream with cream, a chocolate mousse and an affogato. The food was good. What also annoyed me a bit at the end was that my sister's apple juice spritzer was on our account. Because we were two families.

12/26/2023 ; Boxing Day. We were warmly welcomed and given a comfortable table. The jackets were taken from us and taken to the cloakroom. We ordered an aperitif, the witch's cocktail, sparkling wine with elderberry syrup (€7.50), 0.75l Teinacher water €8.50, Trollinger 0.2l; €7.90 and Rose 0.2l; €7.90 My roast venison with red cabbage and spaetzle (€32.00) and pork fillet tips with mixed mushrooms (can) and 5 small duchess potatoes €22.90. Roast venison was impeccable. The canned mushrooms aren't that great. With an extra portion of spaetzle (€5.00!!) my wife was full. Roast goose was completely overpriced at €44.50. What a shame! The restaurant was very busy when we wanted to go. The service is then correspondingly overwhelmed. After a long wait we then had to pay at the bar. We were finally allowed to look for our jackets ourselves. If you offer such a service (removing jackets), you also have to bring the guest's jackets back at the end.

Tolles Restaurant! Sehr professioneller Service; zuvorkommend, gründlich, sauber und dazu auch noch charmant. Das Essen und der Santa Spritz 😍 war sehr lecker. Wenn ich wieder in Stuttgart bin, werde ich dieses Restaurant zu 100% wieder besuchen.

Räumlichkeiten: etwas in die Jahre gekommen, jedoch ausreichen Platz und aus ein separater Raum für kleinere Feiern vorhanden. Preis-Leistung: auch wenn es Weihnachtsessen war - extrem überteuert!! Bei den Zwiebelrostbraten wurde leider nicht mal gefragt, wie man sein Fleisch möchte. Service: leider unfreundlich, überfordert und unflexibel Gerade an Weihnachten würde man sich mehr Freundlichkeit erhoffen.

Wir waren zum Gansessen dort und waren begeistert. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und der Service perfekt. Ein gut gelaunter Kellner, der mit den Gästen scherzt und das in der Vorweihnachtszeit, da sag ich nur Hut ab. Wir gehen sehr gerne wieder hin.

Meine Freundin und ich haben dort in Verbindung mit einer Übernachtung im Hotel Gloria ,gegessen und waren super begeistert ! Leckere, frische Gerichte, guter Service

Bei einer Fortbildungsveranstaltung übernimmt das Restaurant die Verpflegung. Sehr sehr leckeres Essen. Perfekte Suppen. Die Mitarbeiter sehr nett.

Wir gehen wiederholt wg des ausgezeichneten Essens hin. Sehr hohe Qualität, wechselnde und abwechslungsreiche Karte, aufmerksamer Service, der z.B. gut bei der Weinauswahl berät. Einzig Ambiente ist Geschmackssache (urig mit Teilmodernisierung).

Hervorragendes Essen und tolle Bedienung! Saisonale und vielseitige Gerichte auf höchstem Niveau. Außerordentliche Auswahl an Likören und Spirituosen. Dank aufmerksamer Bedienung haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir kommen wieder!

Super Essen, angenehmer Service und wunderschöne Sommerterrasse

Ansprechende Kartengestaltung, keine Überfrachtung und schöne Weinauswahl. Vorspeisen und Hauptgerichte sehr gut und ansprechend anrichtet. Souveränes Personal freundlich, schnell aber niemals aufdringlich.

Ich komme alle paar Jahre mal ins Hexle, wenn ich in Stuttgart zu Besuch bin und bin immer wieder beeindruckt von der gleichbleibenden hohen Qualität sowie dem hervorragendem Service. Meine Freundin hatte diesmal die Ziegenfrischkäse-Kürbis-Ravioli und ich die hausgemachten Maultaschen mit Kartoffelsalat. Beides hat einfach nur hervorragend geschmeckt. Kann es jetzt schon kaum erwarten beim nächsten Stuttgart Aufenthalt wiederzukommen.

Wir waren zu zweit dort zum Essen. Meine Frau hatte Haloumi mit Tomatensalat. Dieser stellte sich als eine aufgeschnitte Tomate mit etwas Balsamico-Creme heraus. Für stolze 15,60 €. Ich hatte einen Burger, bei dem ich überraschenderweise nach dem gewünschten Gargrad gefragt wurde. Das Medium gewünschte Fleisch war dann absolut durch und hart wie ein Bremsklotz. Dafür war das Biobrötchen so zäh, dass es nicht zu schneiden war. Das wiederum haben andere Gäste später auch bemängelt. Schade. Entschuldigung für den gewählten Ausdruck aber der Humor der Bedienung war schwer zu verstehen.

Sehr gute und feine Küche! Tolle Saucen und Suppen. Hochwertige Produkte! Guter und freundlicher Service. Etwas gewöhnungsbedürftiges Ambiente, das bei dem leckeren Essen aber nicht wirklich ins Gewicht fällt. Wir kommen gerne und regelmäßig!

Zufällig reingeraten, lecker gegessen, große Portionen. Freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung. Schade, dass wir nur auf der Durchreise waren, sonst würden wir Stammgäste.

Wezen uiteten voor de verjaardag van mijn vriendin. Het parkeren was een kleine uitdaging in de wijk maar dit is allemaal goed gekomen. Het eten was heerlijk, vers en goed van smaak. Het restaurant had rekening gehouden met de verjaardag en had een kleine verassing voor het dessert geregeld! We zaten op het terras met een prima temperatuur en het was zeker niet druk. Binnen in het restaurant zag het er ook erg gezellig uit met mooie oud Duitste plafonds. Al met al dus zeker een restaurant om aan te raden!

Sehr leckeres Essen - ABER der Preis ist wirklich schon unglaublich teuer für das, was man bekommt. Ich gebe gerne Geld für gutes Essen aus. Das Essen war top, aber: -„Grosser gemischter Salat“ mit Pfifferlingen für 18,90(!!!!) bestand zu 98% nur aus Blattsalaten (kostet ein paar Cent) mit 2 halben Cocktail Tomaten und ein paar Raspeln Karotte. Pfifferlinge waren lecker aber rechtfertigen absolut nicht diesen hohen Preis! Blattsalat kostet einfach gar nichts. Und „Großer gemischter Salat“ muss dann doch was hergeben. - Maispoularde sehr lecker, aber 2 so mini Stückchen, dass man absolut nicht satt wird. Mit einer kleinen Ofenkartoffel (ebenfalls lecker) VIEL ZU TEUER!! (22€) Kellner sehr mürrisch und absolut unmotiviert. Auf die Nachfrage, warum der Blattsalat kein gemischter Salat ist, wurde leider kaum reagiert und das abgetan. Eher pampig! Fazit: Wir kommen auf keinen Fall nochmal, da es in direkter Umgebung ebenfalls sehr leckere Restaurants gibt, wo einfach der Preis auch zu der Portionsgrösse des Gerichts passt. Ach ja, Brot mit Dip kostet 2€ PRO PERSON! Und das sollte doch ein Service für die Gäste sein! —> da war ich raus, sowas geht einfach gar nicht und man fühlt sich als Gast richtig abgezockt und unwillkommen. Geht gar nicht.

Es war ein sehr feiner Abend, super Essen, gutes Service aber irgendwie schien das Personal etwas verärgert beim zahlen...

Also wirklich super stark, versteckt hinter dem Hotel Gloria. Super netter Service und geschultes Personal, lässt sich auf alle Wünsche ein, wirklich perfekt. Thema Essen, sehr schöne Auswahl und perfekt angerichtet. Das fehlt es an nichts und es schmeckte allen hervorragend. Thema Preise: der Hammer hier aber, gut es stimmt sonst alles, kein Punktabzug trotzt schlechtem Preis/ Leistungs Verhältnis. Trotzdem echt empfehlenswert, besonders der Biergarten.

Im großen und ganzen alles gepasst. Service und essen für den Preis tipptopp. Nette Terrasse auf der es sich verweilen lässt.

Wir waren im Juni 2023 zum Geschäftsessen im Hexle und hatten Zwiebelrostbraten, Schweinemedaillons, Knoblauchbrot, etc.. Also diverse Sachen querbeet. In Summe: Sehr zu empfehlen! Das Fleisch war auf den Punkt gegart, es war schmackhaft und lecker, Portionen waren eigentlich genau richtig. Jammern auf hohem Niveau: vielleicht hätte ein bischen mehr Salz dran sein dürfen, mein Gegenüber meinte aber: nein, genau richtig gesalzen. Also vielleicht eine persönliche Sache. Die Bedienung war aufmerksam und gut, kurzum: sehr zu empfehlen, wenn man vor Ort mal essen gehen möchte. Geschmacklich gut, Preislich könnten sie vielleicht etwas oder ein bischen günstiger sein, aber das ist vielleicht auch der Energiepolitik und den daraus resultierenden Preisen geschuldet. Von daher: klare Empfehlung das Restaurant zu besuchen!

Meine Freundin und ich waren dort sehr lecker essen. Ein Restaurant was die souce hollondais selbst macht und hervorragend schmeckt bekommt 5 Sterne..... Preisleistung ist demnach angemessen. Sehr freundlicher Service obwohl der junge Mann fleissig rum lief..... Vom Ambiente her war modern und urig zusammen...... Wir kommen gerne wieder.... Vielen Dank

We ate here on a sunny holiday lunchtime, a group of 5 friends, having made a reservation. We were seated at a shaded outdoor table on a quiet terrace. The waitress was attentive and friendly. The menu had a mixture of Swabian and bistro dishes, all delicious and beautifully presented. The mixed sorbets was especially fab! Thoroughly recommended

Met my wife's aunt for dinner. My MIL was with us (Aunts sister). These are 2 older southern German girls. I had the schnitzel with potato salad. Larger portion. Awesome. The other 3 (my wife also) had the Maultaschen. My wife loved it. My MIL and Aunt thought it was OK. Perhaps age lessens taste buds. Servers were nice and some spoke English. They serve beer and wine. Pay as you leave at the register. Clean and a bit elegant. As with many German places the bathroom is downstairs. We stayed at the hotel and it is convienant.

With my work colleagues, we chose this restaurant adjacent to the hotel where we stayed. The reception was very good and the atmosphere pleasant. From the menu I expected a wider choice, especially of vegetarian dishes. The dishes were well prepared, the service good and the staff friendly. Prices above average are not justified.

This restaurant is a gem in the sea of mediocre in the Stuttgart neighborhood of Moehringen. The room is very chic and comfortable with a great local wine list. The lunch menu is a bargain and very good. Dinner is highlighted by venison, boar, veal and many local plates. They do great soups and salads. Worth the visit and revisit.

We were actually looking for a typical German Stube for a schnitzel and a beer, but since so many restaurants were closed in the area in the holiday period (Sommer ferien) we ended up here. The restaurant feels classy, waiters fully dressed up, and the menu also shows it is not an ordinary place to eat. It looked a bit out of place, because the outskirts of the city would not suggest a place like this here. We both had a grilled menu, which tasted pretty good and the dinning outside was pleasant, as there were hardly any insects buzzing around. It was a good experience. If you want good food, with good service, at perhaps a little higher price, this place is worth visiting.

I went invited for business dinner and I was very positively impressed. Everything I had was excellent. I strongly recommend the carrot soup with lemongrass and ginger, the ceviche, and a dessert with three sorbets. Superb!

This is my first experience of dining at a restaurant that serves German cuisine so I am no expert on the food other than it was very flavorful. I did order the roast beef with cabbage at the recommendation of our server. It's not like American style roast beef. I would call it a steak and I was told that in Europe steak is inferior to the USA but that was not the case. Although it wasn't the best beef I've ever been served I had no complaints. The portion was very generous sitting in a wine reduction, topped with glazed onions and kraut. The bread was served with goose lard (a first for me). I don't know what herbs were in the lard but I loved it. I had the potato soup with truffles that was very flavorful, the entree was served with a side of spatzel that I couldn't get enough of. Spatzel is now one of my favorite dishes As for the dining experience and the service it was excellent. Proper place settings, attentive and polite servers that were very patient and answered all of our questions. I highly recommend Hexla during a visit to Stuttgart.

Inexpensive, good German food. English spoken. Schnitzel is good as are the many Swabian specialties. Frequented by U.S. military from AFRICOM on special occasions.
