Beautiful beer garden for all seasons, cozy restaurant and very good selection of food. In summer we can highly recommend the Dinneten. The onion roast is also very worthwhile. Draft Augustinian beer! In winter you can eat fondue and raclette - also recommended! Changing daily lunch menu

We had dinner at the Garbe inn with our small group of 14 people after our civil wedding. We were given a separate room and all the waitresses were very attentive. Our guests afterwards praised both the restaurant (lunch and dessert) and the rooms with their current tasteful decoration. Thank you again for the great afternoon and the good time with you! :)

We were eating goose in a large group. The food is fabulous. The very first time I ate goose there was about 12 years ago and have been there regularly ever since. Exquisitely prepared, crispy on the outside. Falling tenderly from the bone on the inside. Side dishes also very good and generous 👍🏻. Price performance absolutely okay. We always like to come!

Between Soda Stream water and overwhelmed waiters, you are exposed to longer waiting times than at Deutsche Bahn. Additionally, the food was ridiculously expensive for a disappointing performance. I'm very surprised that this shed has such a good reputation, although that could of course be because they specifically have bad reviews deleted.

Stuttgart, city 11/22/2024 Garbe inn Filderhauptstr. 136 70599 Stuttgart 09/12/2024 Dry storage: There was a heavy fruit fly infestation on the lamp, floor drain and buckets of food. There were maggots and moths on food packages. There were traces of feces and partly wet urine from rodents on other food packages. Numerous food packaging was eaten. The washed cutting boards had deep, dirty grooves. The can opener was encrusted with thick old deposits, especially on the mandrel. The cake pans had old burnt-in contamination. The hand blender attachment and other kitchen utensils in a box were contaminated. The chopping block had deep discolored grooves. The convection machine was dirty with old food residue. The flour container and mixing bowl were contaminated inside. The outdoor catering containers were contaminated. Food was incompletely packaged in the icy freezer. The freezer was overflowing and the top foods were not frozen through. Bon appetit 🤭

Leider war unser Besuch in der GARBE enttäuschend. Das Essen fad, lauwarm, sehr überschaubar - Preis-Leistung stimmt(e) überhaupt nicht! Dazu unglaubliche Lautstärke. Selbst bei gutem Essen wäre es kein Genuß durch die Getäuschkulisse gewesen. Fazit: Einmaliger Besuch!

Leider ein bisschen enttäuschend. Es war mein Geburtstag, und da an einem Montag nicht viele Lokale offen haben, dachten wir, mit der Garbe sind wir auf der sicheren Seite. Hatten reserviert. Erst kam niemand. Bis der Gast vom NAchbartisch aufstand und jemanden holte. Von meinen zwei bestellten Vorspeisen kam nur eine; die Linsen meines MAnnes waren sehr geschmacksarm, die Portion klein, die Spätzle konnte man zählen. Die Herrschaften am NAchbartisch wurden vergessen und erhielten ihr Essen sehr spät. Schade! Die Garbe hat einen sehr guten Ruf, wurde dem jedoch gestern überhaupt nicht gerecht.

We decided to go to dinner there after seeing the average score on the map. It is a typical Swabian food restaurant, with a classic and modern image at the same time. The service took good care of us. The food was correct. The only thing that didn't suit us was the price. For those prices I expected to eat one of the best typical dishes of the region, something more surprising. In any case. A pleasant place to return to.

Very unfortunate. I've been to the Garbe many times and it's always been a pleasure. Today the daily menu showed a cordon bleue with mashed potatoes and peas and vegetables for €33. Unfortunately, that was the worst Codonbleue I've ever eaten. Simply poor in taste. I would have preferred the “Garbe-Schnitzel” or the trout. At least my wife enjoyed the Gaisburger Marsch. It's always very disappointing when a dream isn't fulfilled.

So the food was upscale and actually quite tasty, but the service planned a lot... We only got our beer when the main course had already started to be eaten, and we had to ask the waitress even when we initially ignored it for a quarter of an hour became. The inn is about 10 minutes by taxi from the airport and less than a 5-minute walk to the nearest subway. Stefan gave me a warm welcome and I almost felt at home. The room was very clean and modern. Even though I didn't actually make a reservation for dinner, the team was able to reserve a small corner table for me. The food was excellent. I'd love to come back.

Endlich mal ein Gasthaus indem es sehr ausgefallene vegetarische Gerichte gibt!! Sehr interessant interpretierte Käsespätzle, aber auch bodenständige Spätzle mit Linsen! Eine Empfehlung wären auch die Rettich Vorspeise und als Salatliebhaberin natürlich die Salate mit außergewöhnlichem Dressing, homemade!! Hilfreich sind auch die Getränkeempfehlungen unter jedem Gericht.

Zum Hauptgang wechselten wir in das stilvolle Restaurant, wo der Abend für alle, auch für die fünf Kinder, ein Hochgenuss blieb. Hier zeigte sich die wahre Kunst der Garbe: eine perfekte Mischung aus Eleganz und Bodenständigkeit, begleitet von einer familiären Herzlichkeit, die den Abend zu einem einzigartigen Erlebnis machte. Ein grandioses Merci für den unvergesslichen Abend, den wir anlässlich des runden Geburtstags meiner französischen Frau im kleinen, erlesenen Kreis bei Ihnen erleben durften. Von Anfang bis Ende war dieser Abend ein kulinarisches Gedicht, fein abgestimmt und mit Liebe zum Detail orchestriert. Schon der Aperitif mit Kessler Hochgewächs und den raffinierten Fingerfood-Variationen ließ erahnen, dass uns Großes erwartet. Die Kürbisquiche mit Schafskäse und Thymian, die Nardin Sardelle mit Zitrone und weißer Zwiebel, sowie die Fleischbällchen mit Paprikadip entführten uns in eine Welt der Aromen, während die Blätterteigtasche mit Speck und der köstliche Garbe Ochsenmaulsalat unsere Gaumen kitzelten. Jeder Bissen dieser exquisiten Häppchen machte Appetit auf das, was noch folgen sollte. Die Vorspeise war ein wahres Fest der Sinne: Der gegrillte Gambero Rosso mit Pernod und Fenchel brachte die Frische des Meeres auf den Teller, während die Gänsefettleber mit Champagnergelee auf gerösteter Brioche in ihrer vollendeten Harmonie eine erlesene Note von Luxus in den Abend einbrachte. Dazu der knackige Acker- und Babyleafsalat, verfeinert mit Albschinken, karamellisierten Nüssen, bunten Trauben und einem aromatischen Birnendressing, ein Auftakt, der einfach nur begeistert. Das Highlight des Abends war jedoch das Hauptgericht: Das Lamm von der Schlater Streuobstwiese, zart, saftig und in Perfektion zubereitet. Das Filet, Karree und die Schnitzelchen waren eine Offenbarung, begleitet von jungen, grünen Petersilien-Böhnchen, einem cremigen Kartoffelgratin und der intensiven Lammjus. Hier wurde meisterhaft gezeigt, wie regionale Spitzenprodukte mit Leidenschaft und handwerklichem Können zu einem kulinarischen Gesamtkunstwerk verschmelzen. Als Dessert folgte eine Kreation, die den Abend auf höchst elegante Weise abrundete: Die Garbe Crème Brulée mit Vanille, Zimt und Anis war perfekt, während die karamellisierten Mirabellen mit gerösteten Mandeln und das frische Zitronensorbet die Balance zwischen Süße und Frische meisterlich trafen. Der warme Vacherin mit eingelegtem Gemüse und einer sorgfältig zusammengestellten Brotauswahl setzte dem Menü die Krone auf. Zu all diesen Gaumenfreuden wurde eine hervorragende Auswahl an Weinen gereicht: Ein Grauburgunder vom Weingut Isele und ein edler Spätburgunder aus Malterdingen vom Weingut Bernhard Huber, beide aus Baden und beide perfekt abgestimmt auf die jeweiligen Gänge. Die Weine unterstrichen nicht nur die Aromen der Gerichte, sondern verliehen dem Abend eine weitere, genussvolle Dimension. Es bleibt nur noch eines zu sagen: Chapeau! Es ist dem Küchenteam gelungen, mit kreativen Gerichten, die über die klassische schwäbische Küche hinausgehen, einen Abend zu zaubern, der uns noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben wird. Dear Garbe team, Our party began in the heated, rustic outdoor bistro, where the relaxed atmosphere merged with the professional and warm service and the sounds of Frank Eisele on the accordion rounded off the atmosphere. For the main course we moved to the stylish restaurant, where the evening was a delight for everyone, including the five children. This is where the true art of the sheaf was revealed: a perfect mix of elegance and down-to-earthness, accompanied by a familial warmth that made the evening a unique experience. A great Merci for the unforgettable evening that we were able to experience with you in a small, select circle on the occasion of my French wife's big birthday. From start to finish, this evening was a culinary poem, finely tuned and orchestrated with attention to detail. The aperitif with Kessler Hochgewächs and the sophisticated finger food variations gave us an idea that great things awaited us. The pumpkin quiche with sheep's cheese and thyme, the Nardin anchovy with lemon and white onion, and the meatballs with paprika dip took us into a world of flavors, while the puff pastry with bacon and the delicious sheaf of oxmouth salad tickled our taste buds. Every bite of these exquisite morsels whetted the appetite for what was to follow. The starter was a true feast for the senses: the grilled Gambero Rosso with Pernod and fennel brought the freshness of the sea to the plate, while the goose fatty liver with champagne jelly on toasted brioche brought an exquisite touch of luxury to the evening in its perfect harmony. Plus the crisp field and baby leaf salad, refined with Alba ham, caramelized nuts, colorful grapes and an aromatic pear dressing, a start that simply delights. The highlight of the evening, however, was the main course: the lamb from the Schlater orchard, tender, juicy and prepared to perfection. The fillet, loin and schnitzel were a revelation, accompanied by young green parsley beans, a creamy potato gratin and the intense lamb jus. Here it was masterfully shown how top regional products merge with passion and craftsmanship to create a culinary work of art. Dessert was a creation that rounded off the evening in a most elegant way: The sheaf of crème brulée with vanilla, cinnamon and anise was perfect, while the caramelised mirabelle plums with roasted almonds and the fresh lemon sorbet masterfully struck the balance between sweetness and freshness. The warm Vacherin with pickled vegetables and a carefully selected selection of bread topped off the menu. An excellent selection of wines was served with all of these culinary delights: a Pinot Gris from the Isele winery and a noble Pinot Noir from Malterdingen from the Bernhard Huber winery, both from Baden and both perfectly matched to the respective courses. The wines not only underlined the flavors of the dishes, but also added another enjoyable dimension to the evening. There's only one thing left to say: Chapeau! With creative dishes that go beyond classic Swabian cuisine, the kitchen team managed to conjure up an evening that we will remember for a long time. The whole team deserves respect. Super friendly and very patient, even though there were crowds of people wanting to eat in the restaurant and in the beer garden. I can't say anything about the rooms. But the food was, as always, very tasty and the staff was super friendly, very nice and accommodating. A big compliment to the house.

rock-solid, classic Swabian dishes. I love the summer menu because of the spinach and feta cheese dinnette. I also always like the cheese spaetzle. I'm there regularly and am happy to have been there again and again. I just find the price of €5.2 for a non-alcoholic wheat pretty steep.

Zimmer im Gasthaus. Anfang August. Extreme Hitze beim Wetter. Die sog. Klimaanlage oder Umluftanlage im Zimmer funktioniert nicht. Kein einziger Lufthauch. Das Personal hatte keine Ahnung, wie diese bedient werden sollte. Es gibt zwei Ventilatoren im Zimmer, welche aber das aufgeheizte Zimmer niemals runterkühlen können. Bei der Beschwerde-Beschreibung verheddert sich das Personal in den Aussagen und verlagert sich auf "der Chef ist nicht da und ich weiss nichts". Also genauso, wie in anderen Bewertungen auch zu lesen ist. Es hat sich der Eindruck aufgedrängt, als ob das Problem mit der nicht funktionierenden Klimaanlage/Umluftanlage bekannt sei. Wie gesagt: ein Eindruck. Es gab keinen Preisnachlass oder eine sonstige Art der Entschuldigung, obwohl die Leistung ja nicht in einem vollen Umfang erbracht wurde. Aufgrund der extremen Hitze und der merkwürdigen Reaktion des Personals und des mangelnden Nachlasses gibt es nur einen von fünf Punkten.

Booked a special dinner. We had 12 people at the event. Service was overall pretty bad. We sat there for at least 20 minutes before we even got to order drinks. I finally went to find someone to order. I would’ve thought more attentive service would have happened.

We used to like going there because the beer garden was beautifully laid out and we were always happy with the price-performance ratio. Unfortunately that doesn't work anymore. 0.5l beer €6.30 baked potato €21 just 2 examples. No bread is served with salad or other starters. You have to pay extra.4.-€ Sorry, it doesn't work at all. Unfortunately our last visit for now. They also said it when paying. There are justifications such as VAT, proximity to the city... Thank God there are alternatives, even close to the city

We were there for a family meal or lunch before my nephew's baptism. Food etc was great so far. We were in the beer garden. The weather was super hot that Saturday. All drinks and food went quickly… Despite the “big” group we were. We can't say anything about the rooms or as a hotel, but as a beer garden or restaurant it is highly recommended. My family also comes regularly for dinner or goose dinner in November. So, see you soon…

The beer garden is really beautiful - but unfortunately that's the only positive thing I find about my visit there. The food and drink are in great disproportion between quality and price. For example, a bone-hard ready-made ice cream in a cup costs €6! A sparkling wine with ice, mint, cucumber, lime €9 (non-alcoholic spritz). We ordered a Dinnede, which turned out to be a tarte flambée - average ready-made dough. The service is not particularly attentive and not well trained (even rude). Unfortunately not worth another visit.

Delicious dishes and friendly, competent staff who are totally on their toes. Usually very busy, it's best to make a reservation. High-quality ingredients and surprisingly different or modified compositions of the dishes. Very very very good taste experience. The visit is definitely worth it.

Today we spontaneously went out to dinner with a large group. The food was great, came quickly and the service was very friendly and competent. I especially wanted to mention the gentleman who was at the reception. I have celiac disease and have to eat gluten-free. He took care of everything immediately and spoke to the kitchen. All thumbs up. You rarely experience that and especially not in a busy restaurant. We'll be back.

Cozy brewery. Unfortunately, the boss banned us from playing cards “for economic reasons”, even though we were drinking beer. We would have liked to drink a few more beers and wanted to eat. Apparently that's not economical... we would have easily spent another 100€+. There were also numerous tables available. At the competition we were able to eat delicious food, drink beer AND play cards. But otherwise the staff is great!
