Dieses Restaurant war immer auch ein Grund, auf die Insel zurückzukehren. Leider hat es am vergangenen Wochenende für immer seine Porten geschlossen.

The food was okay. Unfortunately, the service was unfriendly (except for a blonde waitress who was friendly) and it was not possible to choose a different potato side dish for the main course (mashed potatoes instead of butter potatoes), although both are available on the menu. Unfortunately we didn't feel welcome and will therefore not be coming back.

We treated ourselves to the 4-course surprise menu. The food was super tasty and beautifully prepared. The serving of the individual courses and the drinks service ran smoothly. All in all, a wonderful evening thanks to the fantastic and attentive service team and the ingeniousness of the kitchen.

… muss das auf seine „Löffelliste“ schreiben. Das Ambiente ist 1a. Das Essen hat uns Mega geschmeckt. Wir hatten Scholle und Lamm und vorweg Tatar aus Aubergine und Kabeljau-Bällchen. Zum Schluss gabs „beschwipste“ Pflaume und Waffeln mit roter Grütze. Die Bedienung war mega freundlich und es herrschte eine familiäre Atmosphäre. Morgen wieder !

I stayed at the Hotel Seeblick for the long weekend on October 3rd. We received a very friendly welcome. The lady at the reception was very nice and checked us in quickly. The room was large and comfortable. The breakfast was rich. The menu in the restaurant was varied. The food itself was first class. The drinks menu is diverse. All in all, the hotel has a repeat factor

Restaurant/catering recommended, but... Unfortunately, the technology for card payment with a debit card is NOT POSSIBLE, so another visit is impossible. Dessert was therefore out of the question. Too bad. The competition is stronger! Please give progress a chance and also give your guests a chance to feel comfortable with you.

Pizza was tasty and came quickly. When we asked whether we would get a glass of tap water for our child, we received the following answer: "We don't have tap water." What a surprise when there was running water in the toilet. You could have at least filled up a glass here. We found that quite rude.

The gastronomic offerings on Amrum have never been a highlight, but the island itself more than compensated for it. Hüttmann was always an emergency solution, but it never disappointed. In May 2024 we were there again and more than disappointed. The quality of the food is at the simplest lunch level, the service (apart from an English-speaking waiter) is by no means service-oriented. Example: Aperitif was currently on the table. A young man in jeans and brown shoes comes into the room and calls our names loudly and says “the soups are ready”. When I told him that I hadn't finished my gin and tonic yet, I was told: "That doesn't bother me." Conclusion: Hüttmann - never again!

Experience in external sales After purchasing two portions of fries, chicken and fish nuggets and a fish roll for the island-appropriate but still steep price of €23, my friendly request was for a little more garlic sauce (the dollop of sauce dispensed was on a bowl of fries - as soon as the sauce completely over it, you could see the bottom of the bowl like a floral coffee) with the answer "you have to pay for that". After the employee, when asked in surprise, was almost ready to add some of the obviously very expensive sauce, the boss came in the background and instructed the young lady that "he had to pay for it, after all it was garlic sauce". We declared the fight to obtain more sauce over and dedicated ourselves to eating the food. To eat: Low chip shop level - edible - everything from the frozen section, fried. We waited a good 20 minutes for this. Conclusion: Even if you can charge high prices due to your island location and don't necessarily have to be friendly, you should always think about how you would like to be treated in your daily interactions. This behavior has nothing in common with gastronomic professionalism. P.S.: We can confirm the negative experiences described in the other reviews regarding friendliness and waiting times (exorbitant) from visits in recent years. This was our last experience with the clam hunter. With this in mind, 'All the best' - perhaps there is some remaining insight and you can take a moment to think about the relevant feedback.

We were in the restaurant for lunch, the service was friendly and the food was served quickly. Unfortunately, the quality wasn't exactly convincing. The pizzas were relatively greasy, just seemed caked on and were heavy on the stomach. They were probably baked in a pan, which may appeal to many people, but I certainly don't. We also found it a bit excessive that 2 euros were deducted from the full price (€12.90) for a children's spaghetti Bolognese option. But that's also a matter of opinion... The business should probably only concentrate on one thing and not on a restaurant, ice cream shop and bicycles at the same time.
