Restaurant Strand 33 in Norddorf auf Amrum

Perfectly located on the beach. I go there every holiday on Amrum. Here too, prices have risen significantly. The holiday feeling sets in straight away.

The food was good and the dogs were allowed too

Unfortunately I haven't been here for a while, but luckily everything is as it was! Super tasty currywurst with fries 😋😋😋 A must when you're in Amrum!! Even the price is completely okay!!!!

Wir haben nur etwas nach einem Strandspaziergang getrunken, fänden es aber trotzdem schön freundlich und höflich empfangen zu werden. Leider war dem nicht so. Der Ausblick wäre wie schon viele Jahre lang wirklich schön, dafür müssten aber die Scheiben geputzt werden. Alles mit Salz verkrustet- vielleicht sind die Scheiben auch undicht und müssten getauscht werden. Das Wasser für den Hund mussten wir selbst holen und den Napf vorher säubern- an sich nicht schlimm, wenn es denn freundlich formuliert worden wäre. Schade, das ging hier schon besser. Der Wein war akzeptabel.

Delicious food, many types of gin to choose from, but unfortunately only one tonic water. This needs to be improved 😉 Extension: The tonic problem is solved 🙂 Extension 2: Unfortunately no more North Sea crabs on the beach noodles. That's not so nice

Just a beach bar with outside sales 😆the stand with a dune is included in the price. But nice people in service and edible bread rolls. Island and beach location premiums have to be paid...

Over the last 15 years, Strand33 has repeatedly been a guest. The only constant is the great location. The good service and the relaxed feeling that was clearly felt in the past have almost completely disappeared. Little has changed on the menu in recent years. Prices have risen significantly more than would be expected given the general price pressure. You also wait longer and in our case the food wasn't served very warm. The restaurant is still okay for a lunch snack, but it is no longer our choice for dinner. It's a shame that the perceived inadequate leadership of the employees led to such an assessment. The Strand33 deserves better.

Uncomplicated, nice and good! The best option for lunch on the beach!

First of all: We love this place, have been coming back for over twenty years, the view is wonderful, the service is friendly and competent. Unfortunately, yesterday's food was simply no longer adequate: potato salad drowned in mayo, scampi too, hash browns (from the frozen pack) just warm enough, the gravlax wasn't really good and the accompanying dip tasted like boring herb quark. It's a shame, because until two years ago the kitchen was really good!! Please practice again, dear kitchen, and the tapas can be put back on the menu if they are as good as they used to be.

A great restaurant with very friendly staff and good cuisine

2022: again it was great all around. We really like the Zwieslounge. Wines, food and service top. Our absolute favorite restaurant. 2018:Always good, nice staff, excellent wines and delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere.

It's very nice to sit outside. The service was weak: we were shown a seat and no tickets were given. Then the usual: Waiter comes: What would you like to order? We need tickets first. Not crazy, it happens everywhere. Then it rained. The visitors from outside (including us) then went inside. The boss, possibly the owner, then closed the curtain to the “annex” so that no one would sit down there. After that it was just chaotic, hectic and unfriendly. Anyone who was barefoot was barked at, people who were sitting were asked to move together, people who were standing were told not to stand in the way and to look for a place. I went straight to the side with my stroller and baby and looked after my son. I was then given a lengthy explanation of walking paths and that under no circumstances could I stop here. We quickly finished our cappuccinos and left. Conclusion: Since new tourists come every week, you don't have to make an extraordinary effort.

We were there last Saturday shortly before opening, i.e. shortly before 12:00 p.m. "Please wait here, you will be seated!" I thought we were finally over this. Relatively banally, we were both assigned a table for two on the outside terrace. Inside it is modern, cozy and invites you to have a glass of wine in the evening. The wine selection is already diverse. The interior design is reminiscent of a very modern Palatinate wine bar; succeeded. My wife ordered a burger (which I can't and hardly ever understand) and I ordered Peccorinies (spelled correctly?), which are vegetarian-filled ravioli. Everything tasted good (subjective matter of taste). The portions were not generous, which seems to be normal in tourist towns today and will likely be difficult in the long term. Personally, I can't understand ordering "burgers". 17.00 euros for a soft roll with meat filling and tomato and sauce (roughly summarized) is a bad ratio for me. A very old, exhausted man sat alone at the neighboring table with 7 chairs. He occupied the other chairs with his special hiking sticks (the very old gentleman was clearly impaired), his backpack, hat, jacket, ..... After a short time the owner appeared and, in a strict and condescending manner, asked him to immediately vacate this 7-person table and use a 2-person table. The white-haired gentleman explained calmly and kindly that he was expecting his wife. The owner then left. It was a quarter past 12:00 and there were still 10 tables unoccupied. After another 5 minutes, the owner came and clearly loudly ordered the gentleman to leave this table of 7 immediately. This would be kept free for groups. Then, while still walking, he ordered “Now!”. The exhausted gentleman gathered his things and moved to the table for two. It was depressingly quiet on the terrace. I now assume that the other guests present found this approach unpleasant and inappropriate. When we paid for our food at 12:50 p.m., there were still 7 tables available; also the table of 7. The old gentleman's behavior of using a large table for two people was certainly not right. But the condescending manner and loudly commanding manner towards a guest was a straight 6 minus with a start. The sound makes the music. A true restaurateur should know this. This is not how you treat any guest. There is also a lack of respect for “age”. I thought the food was good but personally too expensive; especially for the crowd. But gastronomic behavior and behavior are also important when entertaining guests. We will no longer visit this behavior or these owners.

Tables pushed together, loveless character. Seems somehow unkempt. In combination with unfriendly staff and the high prices, the view of the water can only partially compensate. No recommendation

More appearance than reality... Unfortunately, very careless furnishings. The only thing worth highlighting is the staff and the very tasty cuisine. The boss should not reprimand the staff in front of the guests; this is no more unprofessional than if the staff accidentally forgets the cutlery when the terrace is full. This is human everything else arrogant and arrogant. Nowadays the boss can actually count himself lucky to have good staff in the catering industry and should point out the mistake to them in an appropriate tone away from the guests.

If you are not kindly informed that you should pick up your food next time because the 7m to your table was too much for the lady of the house, then you were at the Strand 33 snack bar. However, if you are told to bring the food “out” then that is what it means for me to the table and not just to the door. But unfortunately the beach restaurants are so busy again that the innkeepers don't care whether you come back or not. At least not me. There are enough alternatives on other beaches

We had a great evening at Strand 33. We were greeted very friendly and shown to our table. The food was served very quickly and was extremely good. We had carpaccio, plaice fillets, beach noodles and pasteis de nata. Afterwards we sat comfortably outside in the wine lounge and had something to drink and enjoyed the fantastic view of the beach. An all-round successful evening. :-)

The first beach bar I saw where you can walk through the sand but then you're not allowed to enter the restaurant barefoot. Rules are rules, but I would like to see more friendly communication about the house rules. Fries were a bit expensive but tasty.

We dropped by spontaneously after visiting the beach and were warmly welcomed. The restaurant was well filled despite the low season, but there was still a place on the terrace with a wonderful view of the beach, sea and dunes. The service was also initially good and the dishes were delivered quickly. Worth mentioning is the great children's schnitzel with lightly salted fries. Food was also good, unfortunately it didn't quite correspond to the description on the menu (only white asparagus was served instead of green and white asparagus). When asked about this, the only response from the staff was “Oh, hasn’t that changed yet…” - apparently not. A small compensation like an espresso or a scoop of ice cream (for the daughter) on the house is unfortunately not available. Paying wasn't very positive either, it took more than 20 minutes for someone to respond to our request. All in all, definitely recommended. Unfortunately it wasn't enough for 5 stars this time...

Wir wurden sehr lustlos und uninteressiert begrüßt. Nach 20 Minuten war noch niemand zur Aufnahme unserer Bestellung gekommen. In dem Zeitraum war ca. ein Viertel der Tische belegt. Dauraufhin haben wir das Restaurant wieder verlassen.

I give it 5 stars, actually it should be more... Great restaurant right on the beach. Of course not cheap, but I haven't discovered anything cheap here on Amrum. In any case, the service staff were very nice and special requests were also implemented. My tarte flambée was without hollandaise and serrano due to allergies and now the best part: the first restaurant where I actually had to pay less. The taste was also great. My daughter and I were happy and full.

Passen sie auf das sie nicht mehr zahlen als sie durfen. Habe gestern eine Flasche extra gezahlt und heute haben sie versucht Doppel zu kassieren. Meine Tochter hat ihr Essen aus versehen geschüttet und der Art und Weise wo man uns der basen und schaufeln geschmiessen ,das wir putzen war total unfreundlich. Die asiatische Bedienung war sehr freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Trots der unverschämt vorgesetzter … !!!

We liked it. The map is small and clear. The quality of the food is very good. We shared the tarte flambée as a starter. Dough super thin and crispy. At. I would have chosen a different bun for the burger (e.g. made from sourdough). Def view priceless! Thank you for the lovely evening!

We returned spontaneously and without any expectations. Already in the entrance area we noticed the huge selection of South African wines. The selection of dishes is absolutely appropriate for the early season and, above all, it tastes very good. High-quality ingredients are lovingly prepared, the eye eats too. The service is premium, tailored to each guest individually, and there is also a relaxed saying, authentically North German, as it should be. We liked it very much. We would like to thank you and would be happy to recommend you here, keep it up 👍🏾

Modern food with the most beautiful views on the island. There are mainly wines from South Africa, so you can't accidentally catch a Kallmuth. I found it a bit drafty in the new Onion Lounge.

I have to say, Covid rules or not. The food was tasty, but the spices probably went awry because of the wind. There was a free disinfectant shower on the face, spray disinfection is absolutely effective in strong winds. However, the outlook was justified for the prices

Super friendly service and one of the very few restaurants/cafés that accept card payment on Amrum! The food was good delicious and they had vegetarian/vegan options too, which again is something not so common in Amrum. For some of the items the prices might seem a bit high (considering the portion sizes), but the location and view from the restaurant compensate for it.

The view is simply great, as is the food and service. Completely satisfied

I corrected my rating positively after another visit. The waitresses are still very nice, prices are rather expensive, but ok in the meantime, the quality of the food was also good. Nothing particularly exciting on the menu, but well prepared.

Früher Nachmittag, zu zweit unterwegs und Lust auf einen Kaffee in der Sonne. Großes Schild vor der Außenterasse: "Hier bitte warten, Sie werden platziert". Dreimal rennt die Bedienung an uns vorbei, ohne uns eines Blickes zu würdigen. Dann schließlich doch: "Wollen Sie etwas essen oder nur etwas trinken? - Aha, nur etwas trinken... Moment, ich schaue mal nach..." Kurze Zeit später kehrt sie zurück. "Tut mir leid, aber es ist alles voll, ich habe nur einen Tisch für 4 Personen frei." Sckönen Dank auch, dann gehen wir doch lieber zum Surf-Shack 30 Meter weiter, da ist es egal, wieviel Personen etwas konsumieren.

Sehr schönes Restaurant mit tollem Service, aber leider hat der nicht selbstgemachte Kartoffelsalat einen Punkt gekostet. Ansonsten top

Jahre lang war Strand 33 für uns das erste Restaurant auf der Insel. Wir haben den Caesars Salat in allen Varianten genossen und Alwin als charmanten und stets aufmerksamen Kellner bewundert. Leider hat letzterer die Insel vor zwei Jahren gen Süden verlassen und der Salat ist mittlerweile von der Karte genommen worden. Der Flair der vergangenen Zeit ist einfach nicht mehr da.

Das Essen war super, die Lage ist fantastisch und die Einrichtung ist sehr schön. Viel schöner, als von außen vermutet.

Wir waren nur auf einen Aperol Spritz im Außenbereich. Super Ausblick auf den Strand und das Meer. Sehr freundliche Bedienung.

Super Ambiente, durchschnittliches Essen, absolut freundliche Bedienung. Die Ente und der Burger waren ok. Der Ausblick gigantisch....

Man sitz auf einer Terrasse mit Blick aufs Wattenmeer. Service war nicht mehr als Essen und Getränke bringen. Das ist also 3 Sterne. Essen war gut. Getränke auch. Ambiente auch gut. Nur die Musik hat gestört.

Ein wunderbarer Ort, um die einzigartige Amrum Stimmung am Strand mit einem guten Essen oder einem Getränk zu ergänzen. Strand 33 bietet hierzu eine Vielzahl an Möglichkeiten. Bei schönem Wetter lässt es sich herrlich im Außenbereich sitzen. Im Innenbereich gibt es, neben dem großen Platzangebot im Restaurant, neuerdings zusätzlich die kleine aber feine Zwiesel Lounge, in der sich jeder sofort wohlfühlen dürfte, der einen guten Tropfen Wein in nettem Ambiente zu schätzen weiß. Es greift die gleiche Speisenkarte. Diese ist sehr umfangreich und bietet für Groß und Klein eine schöne Auswahl an leckeren Gerichten. Das gut sortierte Angebot an Weinen und Digestifs lässt den Aufenthalt zu einem echten Erlebnis werden, gekrönt von einem herrlichen Blick auf den Strand. Ideal bei Sonnenuntergangsstimmung. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das durchweg freundliche, aufmerksame und präsente Servicepersonal. Weiter so. Wir waren bei jedem Besuch hochzufrieden und kommen garantiert wieder.

Gutes Ambiente, qualitativ hochwertige Speisen und adäquate inseltypische Preisgestaltung. Ein Sternabzug, weil das Getränke Mark-Up einfach zu krass ist.

Das Essen bleibt deutlich hinter den Erwartungen zurück, das Ambiente ist eher mit einer Kantine zu vergleichen. Die Fenster sind weder geputzt noch gereinigt, was den hochgepriesenen Sonnenuntergang nicht zur Geltung kommen lässt.

Hie gibt es definitiv die besten Pommes weit und breit.

Die Strandbar ist freundlich und offen gestaltet, das Essen ist gut und das Personal freundlich.

Tolles Essen, sehr nette Bedienung. Eine Gastronomie direkt am Strand,ein Ort an dem wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt haben. Wir kommen sicher wieder! Update... es hat sich ein wenig verändert und auch den "Zauber " für mich etwas verloren, dennoch gehe ich immer noch gerne hin, da der Ausblick aufs Meer fantastisch ist. Die Bedienungen sind nach wie vor nett und zuvorkommend. Ich finde die Karte war vorher besser,obwohl das was angeboten wird auch gut schmeckt, aber irgendwie fehlt mir das "Besondere"

Gnadenlos tolle Aussicht auf Meer und Strand. Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, das Essen war wunderbar, die Karte ist klein Gehalten dafür aber mit wechselnder zusätzlicher Karte erweitert. Die Getränkekarte ist umfangreich. Am besten vorher reservieren, bei nicht ganz so tollem Wetter fallen die Tische im Außenbereich weg.

Sehr schön am Strand gelegen. Die Bedienung war aufmerksam und freundlich, und meine Currywurst mit Pommes gut. Die Preise sind allerdings ziemlich happig - Amrum ist nicht Sylt!!!

Leider war das Essen sehr enttäuschend! Ich kenne das Restaurant von vor 1o Jahren sowohl geschmacklich als auch die Lebensmittelqualität haben sehr nachgelassen.Vergleicht man das mit dem Strandpiraten, was auch eine schöne Imbisslokalität am Strandübergang in Nebel ist, ist der Strandpirat deutlich besser und auch die Seehundbar am Wittdüner Strand ist besser! Da wird sich noch Mühe gegeben und nicht an der Lebensmittelqualität gespart. Großes Plus im Strand 33 sind die hervorragenden Weine.

Perfektes Restaurant um einen Tag am Strand ausklingen zu lassen. Tolles Essen, sehr schöne Weinkarte und tolle Atmosphäre. Wir hatten einen Tisch in der neuen Zwiesel Lounge mit wundervollem Blick auf den Strand. Sehr aufmerksame aber nicht aufdringliche Bedienung. Super leckere Küche zu angemessenen Preisen.
