Caffee & Bistro Hüttmann in Norddorf auf Amrum

The gastronomic offerings on Amrum have never been a highlight, but the island itself more than compensated for it. Hüttmann was always an emergency solution, but it never disappointed. In May 2024 we were there again and more than disappointed. The quality of the food is at the simplest lunch level, the service (apart from an English-speaking waiter) is by no means service-oriented. Example: Aperitif was currently on the table. A young man in jeans and brown shoes comes into the room and calls our names loudly and says “the soups are ready”. When I told him that I hadn't finished my gin and tonic yet, I was told: "That doesn't bother me." Conclusion: Hüttmann - never again!

Wonderful meal, great service and lovely atmosphere

Konflikte mit dem Personal trägt die Chefin vor den Gästen aus. Total überteuert, schlechte Qualität und dreistes Verhalten der Chefin, die Gäste nötigt, noch etwas trinken zu müssen, wenn sie zu lange sitzen.

Völlig überteuert - ein großer Kaffee des Kaffees des Monats kostet 8,50 €. Der Kaffee war brühend heiß, was wohl den Umstand übertünchen sollte, dass viel zu wenig Kaffeepulver verwendet wurde und der Kaffee folglich nach herzlich wenig schmeckte. Zum ersten Mal in meinem Leben habe ich einen Kaffee stehen lassen. Ich komme nie wieder.

Excellent service, accueil bien meilleur que dans le restaurant voisin. Desserts excellents, choix de cafés impressionnants. À conseiller même en période de marché de Noël!

2 x keer hier in een paar maanden tijd. Wederom niet gastvrij. Bediening heeft duidelijk geen zin in hun werk. Afstandelijk/kil. Onprettig gewoon. 2de keer is bij deze scheepsrecht.

I've eaten lunch twice so far. Very good food. High quality food. Great and friendly service. Very good price-performance ratio. Will definitely come back.

Koffie was heerlijk en werd opgediend zoals ik gevraagd had, koffie en melk apart. Koffie was heet en uitstekend van smaak. Bediening was vriendelijk en snel. Wij hadden zelf geen gebak, maar onze buren aan beide kanten wel, en dat zag er uitstekend uit. Ruime porties en ze zaten er goed van te smullen. Let op: toilet is beneden, dus lastig als je slecht ter been bent. Pinnen kan alleen vanaf 25 euro, zorg dus dat je contant geld bij je hebt.

What happened there? We went to the bistro several times before Corona and absolutely loved it. And there again in 2022/23, and found that the shop is, at best, a slightly better chip shop. Very sad!!! It was always nice to sit there with a nice glass of wine and good food and the nice atmosphere. When we were there this year we couldn't believe it want it to be possible to crash in such a short time. The food was bad, the staff was bad, the wine was bad, the atmosphere was bad (it had something from a train station bistro), prices were high. We won't go there again.6

We went here because Port 31 was closed and we really wanted fish sandwiches. We won't do that anymore. The service was very friendly, the ambience is very good for a bistro/snack bar. However, where is the fish on the rolls? Disgraceful for the price. The herring roll costs €7 and is topped with fish. The crab roll costs €10.50, I had to look for the crabs. Knowing how well you can do it, the trip here was the last one. Drive to Wittdün and eat your fish sandwiches there in Hafen 31. A little cheaper and much better served.

Unfortunately there wasn't what was on the menu. We then took the alternative. Unfortunately the portion was a bit too high for the price. A pity....

The coffee is really terrible despite the “coffee culture” their concept suggests… and they don’t even offer WiFi nor card payments below 26 € . So I really don’t understand why they still exist… this is not the way to do business…

Erstes Haus am Platze... Das war wohl mal. War gestern mit meinem Mann dort essen, er hatte auf jeden Fall die besseren Speisen gewählt. Mein Vorspeisensalat hat nur nach Essig geschmeckt. Die Bedienung hat ihn netterweise von der Rechnung genommen. Die angepiesenen frischen Steinpilze mit Spaghetti waren alles andere als frisch, sie waren total wässrig und ohne Eigengeschmack. Fazit: Mein Mann war einigermaßen zufrieden. Ich hatte leider für fast 22€ nichts leckeres! Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich.

The two young waiters working during our visit were really kind and efficient. They have a huge variety of coffees and a nice view. We really enjoyed our visit.

Das Hüttmann-Bistro hat eine sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre... Wie in einem Bistro üblich ist die Karte sehr übersichtlich...😀 Was auf der Karte steht, ist aber sehr gut., - zumindest können meine Frau und ich dies über den Flammkuchen mit Shrimps und das Fischfilet mit Kartoffel-Gurkensalat sagen... Preise sind, amrum-typisch, natürlich kein Schnäppchen, aber O.K.

Gefällt mir sehr gut. Freundliche Bedienung und super Koch, der auch auf Extrawünsche eingeht (vegan). Nettes helles Ambiente mit Blick nach draußen.

Die Kohlroulade ist ein Gedicht, die Bedienung freundlich und aufmerksam.

Elsässer Flammkuchen als Starter vor leckerer Fischsuppe mit ganz viel Fisch

Extremely rude staff. Were sighing and yelling at us in the moment that we were receiving the coffee because we were occupying a third of the table and he didn’t find the means of moving the menu map an inch himself. Then as I spoke to him he responded in anger. Must have had a terrible day, but that is no excuse for acting unprofessional. Nice view. Couldn’t wait to leave.

Das Essen hat lecker geschmeckt, doch leider sind wir nicht satt geworden. Winzige Portion für einen großen Preis. Wenn das Gericht 10 statt 26 Euro gekostet hätte, dann würde ich mehr Sterne vergeben

Sehr gutes Tagesangebot und gemütliche Atmosphäre.

Sehr schöne Terrasse, sehr leckerer Kuchen und Cafe. Die Bedienung hätte etwas zügiger und aufmerksamer sein in können aber wenn man dort ist, sollte man eh ein bisschen Tempo aus dem Tag nehmen. Also von daher passt das.

Rude personnel and inconvenient paying method. Allegedly they only take German cards! We visited with family and they did not inform upfront that they don’t take Visa. Very inconvenient.

So pleased it was raining hard enough that we felt we should stop for a drink and were right outside Casa Del Caffe! Had the most wonderful hot chocolate and my friend a very good latte! Although small inside it is packed with atmosphere, the staff are really friendly and helpful. Situated on the square it has tables and chairs outside with thoughtful blankets placed on the seats for when it gets cold. We returned a second day for the same beverages but also added an apple strudel to our order - absolutely wonderful.

As I sit in this cafe writing this review I can safely say it has one of the best views of a city I have seen. I arrived just as they were closing but this was not a problem. The waiter was more than helpful bringing me a wonderfully bitter espresso at a great price too. Very pleasant and service with a smile.

Lange Wartezeit bis zur Bestellungsaufnahme, da es (zunächst, gegen 13.30 Uhr) keine Servicekraft gab. Die Köchin stand also in der Küche und hat gleichzeitig den Service übernommen. Wir hatten einen Flammkuchen - der war super. Das zweite Hauptgericht war eine Pfanne mit Feta, Tomaten und Oliven - dazu gab es Weißbrot. Leider überhaupt nicht sättigend. Dafür hatte das Gericht einen satten Preis... ;) Es war sehr kalt im Bistro, die Gäste schlossen nach und nach die Fenster, während die Köchin aufgrund der Doppelbelastung keine Notiz von der Kälte nahm.

Das Caffee & Bistro liegt zentral mitten in Norddorf. Kaffee und Kuchen waren OK. Die Bedienung ging so.

There are a multitude of places to stop and eat in the Plazza but this is a very good spt. The food is average but tasty and the people watching is fantastic. If you want a quieter spot you can go to the back of the restaurant which opens onto a church square. Our server was friendly and help and spoke enough English to help us with the menu. I fun time if you have the time!!

Great place to sit and have caffe correcto and a croissant, and watch the interesting people in the market square.

If you're craving coffee, hot chocolate, or tea this is the place to stop by. With a great selection of great tastes. I highy recommend.

Recently I've been a bit disappointed with some highly rated places on TripAdvisor, but this is the real deal. We stopped in on a cold morning for a quick breakfast to start our day. First the staff here (owners?) are extremely friendly and accommodating. Their prices are very reasonable for what you get. And of course, most important of all, the coffee and hot chocolate (get the one with chili in it!) were spot on. Everything was fresh and delicious.

Casa Del Caffe is a unique little cafe to visit on cold November day especially if you are visiting the Christmas market. The cafe has a good choice of beverages and cakes if you understand German. The staff are very helpful and are willing to help you with the menu, if you like me that does not the language. Would highly recommend Casa Del Caffe if you looking to have coffee & cake round about mid morning.

Amazons coffee, and the surroundings are unique, we've tried the caramel cappuccino and the chocolate one, both were above expectations. Highly recommended in trier

We Went there to have a break during shopping. Staff is nice and cakes are delicious. Location in the center of trier on a little place is pleasant. This coffee is a good address for a sweet break
