Update October 2024: Moving a few houses away. Slightly smaller and no more food. Despite it: Perfect place to unwind. Really tasty and cool drinks. Large selection of wines and for beer drinkers there is Urstrom. Congratulations to the great team.

Excellent rooms and good breakfast. Lots of attention to detail. Very fair price-performance ratio (off-season).

We were in Amrum for a long weekend in December and wanted to go out for a nice meal on the last evening (our wedding anniversary). We reserved a table in the restaurant. Our son had decided on a schnitzel and asked for fries as they weren't on the menu. We were told that this doesn't exist. When asked in the kitchen whether there was the possibility of making fried potatoes, the only answer was: “I don’t even have to ask, it doesn’t exist.” After a short exchange, we drank our wine, paid and went to another restaurant. We completely understand that if there are no fries you can't offer them. Even the explanation that you consciously want to set yourself apart from other restaurants with the menu and the choice of side dishes is understandable. But if you offer potatoes, it should be easy to put them in fried potatoes to satisfy your guest. Of course we would have been willing to pay a surcharge for it. I'm a service provider myself and unfortunately I had the feeling that people forget how much money they spend on dinner here...

If you want very good food and want to spend a nice evening with a fireplace, you've come to the right place. Very friendly staff are really good

Restaurant/catering recommended, but... Unfortunately, the technology for card payment with a debit card is NOT POSSIBLE, so another visit is impossible. Dessert was therefore out of the question. Too bad. The competition is stronger! Please give progress a chance and also give your guests a chance to feel comfortable with you.

Moni keeps the place running, pizzas are a matter of taste, but okay for a pub.

The gastronomic offerings on Amrum have never been a highlight, but the island itself more than compensated for it. Hüttmann was always an emergency solution, but it never disappointed. In May 2024 we were there again and more than disappointed. The quality of the food is at the simplest lunch level, the service (apart from an English-speaking waiter) is by no means service-oriented. Example: Aperitif was currently on the table. A young man in jeans and brown shoes comes into the room and calls our names loudly and says “the soups are ready”. When I told him that I hadn't finished my gin and tonic yet, I was told: "That doesn't bother me." Conclusion: Hüttmann - never again!

We were so impressed on our first visit that we reserved a table for a second evening. Both fish and meat dishes were excellent, the only service (staff shortage like everywhere) was super friendly despite her enormous workload, and the prices were appropriate for the quality of the food. Be sure to reserve a table!

Suitable for a small island. Expensive and ok in terms of food. Pizza tastes good. Casserole too. Service is friendly.
