Restaurant Rialto in Norddorf auf Amrum

The Italian section of the menu unfortunately only deserves a poor rating. The pizza is quite small and, due to the obviously store-bought base, is on the level: I buy a Margherita from the supermarket and top it myself at home. The pasta, despite the cream sauce, is only just below average in terms of taste, which is somehow an achievement. We skipped dessert, literally. Since tourists usually only visit once anyway, such an oversight is something you can afford. On the mainland, with correspondingly skilled Italian competition, they would probably recommend retraining. The service, if not cordial, was at least polite, but, to our subsequent surprise, they were not ashamed of the serving. Unfortunately, the whole thing cannot be recommended. Perhaps the Indian section of the menu is of better quality - but we won't try it again.

I was there several times both with my child during the treatment and just with my partner. Every time we were satisfied. Service was quick and friendly, prices are ok, varies a bit depending on the dish. Toilets very clean. The absolute highlight for us is the pizza. Mega grandiose floor. Not dry, not hard, not thick. But crispy and spicy. Great pizza

Moms with children from the AOK Clinic seem less welcome here. When we reserved a table we were explicitly asked whether we were from AOK. Then we voted in our native language and decided that we would be given a table. The order went smoothly. Drinks came. Then the meals came at different times. A children's meal was completely missing. In the meantime, a table of two was warmly served and an order for four takeaway meals went over the counter. We then complained and the missing food promptly arrived - lukewarm. The innkeeper preferred to play on his phone rather than bring the missing food. The woman of the house then tried to save it. The food wasn't bad, but not outstanding either. Conclusion: The operators know that new guests are always coming and therefore seem to be very confident in their business. Too bad.

We came to Amrum as a holiday to celebrate christmas with my 4 children. This is by far the best restaurant we tried. Food was delicious and quickly served, waiters were very nice and friendly, price was reasonable and overall definitely recommend 😍

We booked a table here at the end of our Amrum vacation in the hope that we could properly review the vacation with friends. Well, what can I say, the ambience is not to our taste, the dining room was quite cool and the waitress wasn't in the mood! Everything was very viscous and you could clearly feel the non-existent joy of having to work today. When the food came, well, the joy was limited again. The starters were okay, pizza could have stayed in the oven for 5 minutes longer to get crispy! Spaghetti Bolognese was tasteless and Spaghetti Carbonara was very greasy because, as we were told, it was made with cream. The burger was very carelessly made, everything was quick and good. We had hoped for more, much more. I agree with a pre-recessionist, perhaps what you can cook should be cooked with love! We won't be coming back as long as it stays the way it is now...

First of all, the following should be said: We have been coming to Amrum regularly since 2016 before Christmas and into the New Year. We went to the Rialto several times each time. At the beginning, Jolli served us, such a nice waiter who is unfortunately no longer there. The food was always consistently very good and the other service was also very nice. So we spent this Christmas Eve at the Rialto again...we wouldn't have been better off! The food was a disaster, the beer was lukewarm. But the worst thing was the service... the man and the woman were constantly arguing (the language sounded Arabic?) The woman had tears in her eyes afterwards and kept wiping them off. After we paid, I couldn't help myself and went to the counter to tell both of them that it's not acceptable to behave like that in front of the guests. The man answered very aggressively if that bothered me. When I said yes, he only replied that I could complain to the boss, that the woman was his wife and that it was a private matter. After all these years, this is definitely the last time we enter the restaurant. If I want to watch marital strife on Christmas Eve I don't have to go to a restaurant!! Sorry to my friends for recommending this place. NO MORE!!

Pizza that tastes worse than frozen: not fully baked, lukewarm, greasy, somehow stale. In addition, it was 3cm smaller than stated (the waiter said 26cm diameter) - when asked about this, the waiter responded uncomprehendingly with “the 3 cm”. Well, given the quality, we wouldn't have wanted to eat any more anyway. Fanta was non-carbonated and tasted more like the cheap version from the discounter. Clearly not a recommendation - then you'd really rather get a frozen pizza! — Update: The review should be deleted. Here someone reports unpleasant reviews and only leaves the good ones. Had to go through a justification process with Google, which others may not want to do. —

Disappointing, we haven't eaten so badly in a long time! Spaghetti Bolognese was tasteless and we missed pasta plates in the lasagne! For the children, the robot that brought the food to the table was a highlight! For me, service is something different!

Wir waren zum Mittag im Restaurant, die Bedienung war auch freundlich, das Essen wurde auch schnell serviert. Nur leider war die Qualität nicht gerade überzeugend. Die Pizzen waren relativ fettig, wirken nur angebacken und lagen auch schwer im Magen. Sie wurden wohl auch in einer Pfanne gebacken, dass gefällt vielleicht vielen, mir jedenfalls nicht. Zudem fanden wir es etwas übertrieben, dass bei einer Kinderoption Spaghetti Bolognese nur 2 Euro vom vollen Preis ( 12,90€) abgezogen wurden. Aber das ist auch Ansichtssache... Das Geschäft sollte sich wahrscheinlich nur auf eine Sache konzentrieren und nicht auf Gaststätte, Eisladen und Fahrräder zugleich.

We were in the restaurant for lunch, the service was friendly and the food was served quickly. Unfortunately, the quality wasn't exactly convincing. The pizzas were relatively greasy, just seemed caked on and were heavy on the stomach. They were probably baked in a pan, which may appeal to many people, but I certainly don't. We also found it a bit excessive that 2 euros were deducted from the full price (€12.90) for a children's spaghetti Bolognese option. But that's also a matter of opinion... The business should probably only concentrate on one thing and not on a restaurant, ice cream shop and bicycles at the same time.

I've eaten better in some canteens. Given the prices, you could at least make a little effort and use spices sometimes. You could also see from the faces around you that no one really enjoyed it.

Frozen pizzas are crispier and tastier than this one (bland, soggy, greasy) The “Gelato De Luxe” ice cream is cheap ice cream from the supermarket ice cream pack, although it is advertised differently. And to sue for €2 per ball is outrageous/cheering. Service was tried hard.

The waiter was very friendly and food was at the table very quickly (certainly not freshly cooked!) BUT: - The plaice fillet was TINY and hard to find under the tomato sauce. The price is way too high! The boss explained that he only gets frozen plaices🙄 and the next time we come he would make sure that we get a "large" piece. Sorry, such "trickery" - never again!!!!!

Der Salat mit Mozzarella war ertränkt von der französischen Salatsauce. Der feingeschnittene Kochmozzarella war nicht wirklich richtig der Höhepunkt am Salat. Das Pizzabrot war teilweise nicht durchgebacken.

Best location in Norddorf, no wonder the restaurant is full in season. However, the location is the only positive thing. The service staff are stressed, they react annoyed if they react at all. The prawns were swimming in cream and there was no bread with it, even though it was on the menu. You had to get in the way of a waitress to complain about it, which I did, but it didn't change anything. The “Carbonara” with still hard spaghetti, coagulated egg and frozen herbs. They tasted burnt! The fact that we had to wait 20 minutes for the bill didn't really surprise me...

Positive things... sitting outside is quite pleasant. Waiter was friendly and quick. Negative... the food. It was plaice fillet with fries (fried potatoes not available) and spaghetti carbonara. The food was there after a good 5 minutes... unimaginable. Definitely not freshly cooked. The spaghetti didn't taste like much except pasta. The plaice fillet was tiny and didn't taste good either. I can only advise everyone not to visit and rather pay 10 euros more somewhere else. I think it's a better investment. I actually don't understand the good reviews...

Overpriced offer… After entering the restaurant we were only directed to one of the front 6 tables. We actually wanted to sit in the back area of ​​the restaurant, but apparently it is only used when the tables in the front area are occupied. The use of the toilets was not permitted that day (alleged damage). We would have liked to have received this information earlier. When asked about an alternative option, they just shrugged their shoulders (I'm still wondering where the staff does their business). Now about the food…. The lasagne I ordered reminded me very much of the filling of a 99 cent can of ravioli with a slice of cheese gratinated. According to their statements, the pizzas ordered by my three companions were satisfactory given the circumstances. My personal conclusion... Not again…!!!!!

We picked up 4 pizzas on our vacation. The pizzas were all ok but were relatively small. Like almost everything on the island, price-performance is a little excessive.

The perfect place for our needs! Friendly service, a huge plate of fries for 2.90 and children's pizza that the children enjoy. We have been there often for 2 years and already feel at home. A good place for families to recharge their batteries between the many activities on the island.

We ordered 2 pizzas and ate there on site. The pizzas were OK. The garlic sauce was a new experience. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time. They apologized and offered us a free cappuccino. The service staff are friendly and do everything they can when all the tables are full of guests. We will come back.

The hollandaise pizza was glistening with fat and the "garlic dip" didn't have much to do with garlic. It was also completely different than someone else's garlic dip. Even with the help of the menus, we couldn't identify what kind of dip we were actually served. Whatever it was, it was just as bad as the service and the ambience.

Unser Besuch wurde durch lautstarke Gespräche des Personal am Tresen auf vermutlich arabisch ziemlich gestört. Einer wurde immer lauter als der andere. Kein Gefühl für die Gäste. Beim Abrechnen gab es plötzlich keinen Beleg. Die Kasse sei schon abgerechnet. Uns wurde einfach ein Betrag genannt. Dieser differierte um gut 10 € zu unserem Überschlag. Aber wir hatten keine Lust das auseinander zu puhlen. Also Service 0 Sterne!! Ach ja. Das Essen war ok.

Our visit was quite disturbed by loud conversations from the staff at the counter, probably in Arabic. One always got louder than the other. No feeling for the guests. When billing there was suddenly no receipt. The cash register has already been settled. We were simply told an amount. This differed by a good €10 from our estimate. But we didn't feel like breaking it down. So service 0 stars!! Oh yes. The food was ok.

In order to just quickly drink an Aperol Spritz while ice cream was consumed by the rest of the family, you had to force the service to your “luck”. It worked at some point before the ice cream (tasty but expensive) was licked away... All in all, well!

I would rate the restaurant 2 out of 5 stars. The service is reasonably good as the waiter is nice and attentive. However, the waitress was unfriendly, snooty and had difficulties with the German language. The food is extremely overpriced and there are few options for large families within easy reach. The handling of food preparation and payment is the best part of it all.

We ate there twice while we were in Amrum. We ordered pizza (ours was 100% homemade) and pasta. And always thrilled with the food. our “dead aunt” was delicious. Toilets were clean. Us very nice people

Little angry man pushed our group into the restaurant. All pizzas are frozen pizzas from Edeka next door and some plates came to the table cold. Several hairs in the food and even after complaining, no apology or compensation, just a dirty look from the waiter. Bad restaurant, yes don't enter‼️‼️ The next day the whole group had bad bowels and some even had diarrhea.

I simply have to agree with some of the previous speakers. We ordered two pizzas to take away, a children's margeritha and a normal salami pizza. Sorry but the size of the pizza was an absolute joke! And yes, the topping or cheese was really extremely fatty. The only good thing was the speed of getting to eat.

Wir haben uns essen Bestellt und er kam pünktlich und das Essen war lecker. Sogar die Pommes für die Kids waren noch knusprig😊 Chef ist total nett und hilfsbereit. Auch bei seinem Fahrradverleih war ich sehr zufrieden. Hatte einen Platten und bekam innerhalb einer Stunde ein neues Fahrrad hingestellt. Super nett, die Angestellten. Was sehr hervorzuheben ist, sind die fairen Preise! Ja, auf einer Insel ist alles etwas teurer, aber es sollte bezahlbar bleiben. Ich kann nichts negatives sagen und deswegen 5 Sterne!

All in all very enthusiastic. Generous portions and reasonable prices. The food came within a reasonable short wait even though it was quite busy. We all enjoyed it and were full. Starter+meal+large drink: under €25 The female waitress was a bit abrupt and you got the impression that she wasn't interested, but she wasn't unfriendly. All in all, a great location for what it is supposed to be, I can only recommend it!

Unfortunately frozen fried potatoes and fish, also ready-made pizza dough, which was not fully baked and very oily. I don't have any recommendations, there are certainly better restaurants.

Leider enttäuschend, die Salami Pizza für Kinder und die Pizza Hawaii waren sehr fettig und der Teig sah aus wie ein vorgefertigter. Der Fisch mit Bratkartoffeln war auch nicht besonders, da freut man sich auf frische Bratkartoffeln und dann gibt es für diesen Preis TK Ware. Daher kann ich keine Empfehlung für dieses Restaurant geben, da sind die 11 Euro für die Pizza Wucher. Das Essen war in 10 Minuten fertig, was bei TK Ware ja kein Problem ist.

Entgegen der anderen Bewertung fand ich das indische Essen recht gut. Was aber echt nicht ging, waren die Pizza (Total labberig) und die Nudeln ( verkocht)

Waren 6 Personen. Sehr nette Bedienung, super schnell das Essen bekommen. Die Nudel (3 verschiedene Varianten) waren alle mega lecker. Die Pizzen waren zwar nicht so groß, aber gut belegt. Hatten alle Vorspeise und somit waren wir alle satt und sehr zufrieden 😃👍👍👍

Die Bezeichnung Restaurant oder Pizzeria ist eine Frechheit. Aufwärmstation für TK Produkte wäre richtig! Sshon aufgefallen? Jede Pizza ist gleich groß! TK Pizzaböden. Spagetti Carbonara mit Hähnchenschinken. Preiswerter geht es ja gar nicht. Schade für Familien, die rechnen müssen und Kinder die sich auf eine Pizza freuen. Auch wenn die restliche Gastronomie teuer erscheint, Portionen sind gross und frisch.

Die schlechten Rezensionen beruhen wohl auf utopischen Idealen irgendwelcher Restaurants auf Sylt. Gutes Essen, schneller Service, faire Preise…was will man mehr? Das Essen für vier kam trotz vollen Hauses innerhalb von 15 Minuten.

Rialto Norddorf - die negativen Erfahrungen können wir in keinem Fall bestätigen. Wir waren mehrfach dort und haben auch verschiedene Gerichte probiert - immer wieder lecker....Chef und Kellner top, Sonderwünsche werden problemlos umgesetzt - unser Lieblingslokal auf Amrum
