Unfortunately we cannot agree with the positive reviews. The order was taken after 45 minutes, and the food arrived another 50 minutes later (only 3 of 4 pizzas). After 1.45 hours we all had pizzas, which were not convincing at all. Quattro Formaggi was underbaked and bone dry. All the other pizzas were tasteless and could only be enjoyed with a good amount of garlic oil and chili. The service was consistently unfriendly and seemed overwhelmed.

Very tasty food. Very varied. Extremely friendly staff. Small but nice. Very comfortable places. Prices are completely reasonable for the good quality.

I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant because of the very nice staff, great food and at fair prices these days. I recommend making a reservation as it is always very busy.

Stresa has become our favorite restaurant over the years. We always enjoy eating here as a couple or with friends. The service is very attentive, friendly and competent. At this point thanks to Chris and his colleague. We like it when you are looked after by the same service staff from the beginning to the end of the evening. The food deserves a gourmet star! Very tasty, a visual and taste highlight! Top class! There is a feel-good atmosphere in Stresa. Luckily there are still white tablecloths! It is a pleasant atmosphere that makes your stay an experience. We'd love to come back! G. Paul and F. Saupe

We had a larger family celebration in the restaurant... Pretty inconspicuous from the outside, I was impressed by the rest. Very nice interior, very well maintained, the staff was really nice and accommodating... and the food... simply amazing. And in the backyard there is even a small playground on soft artificial turf for the kids. Everything has been thought of here and the concept is right. Highly recommended. I'll definitely come back again.

As a beer lover, I have known the restaurant for several years, as I occasionally pick up a few bottles of the delicious home-brewed Awerbacher here. On Good Friday I finally took the opportunity to try out the restaurant in its entirety with my daughter. The first plus point is the relatively uncomplicated online reservation (even for me as a technically behind-the-scenes oldie). As already highlighted several times by other guests, the ambience and service can be described as first-class. The selection on the menu is quite limited, but the ingredients listed make you curious. Personally, I particularly liked the direct reference to the brewery in one or two dishes. The food we ordered was served without any long wait and was very nicely prepared. At first glance the plates seem quite small, but the quantity is completely sufficient for an average person and there would still be room for dessert. The taste of the food really pleased us. All in all, I give it a clear recommendation and I would like to thank the entire team for the culinary experience, also on behalf of my daughter.

We were here for a short vacation and a long weekend. We chose this property because the breakfast was conspicuously praised online. The rooms: It was fine in itself, but had minor repair defects. The handle to the bathroom came towards you and when you turned on the heater in the bathroom, a small panel at the bottom fell off. But otherwise great. Unfortunately we forgot to report these defects. If it hasn't been fixed yet: Room 205. ;) The bathroom was otherwise actually quite stylishly furnished. Unfortunately, the mattresses always pushed apart when you wanted to find each other. That was also a small minus point. Hence the 4/5 stars. The service: The staff was completely amazing! Multilingualism available, everyone was friendly, you could also have a nice chat. A smooth 5/5. The location: Very beautiful scenery! The property is an eye-catcher! Very nicely renovated. It radiates a good mood! It is also located directly on Lake Berzdorf. Also a 5/5! The restaurant: Unfortunately I have to note a lack of vegetarian dishes. That ensured that we didn't go any further. I had a salad the first night. It was tasty! But hardly any vegetarian food in 2025? .... 3/5 The breakfast: The breakfast is very well stocked and tasty. Here too, the service really scores. However, it's not as great as the internet thinks. For example, there was a lack of milk alternatives. All in all, still very good! Big plus point: We can enjoy our latte macchiato in the courtyard or in the room. The additional charge for breakfast was reasonable. 4/5. I think you can easily recommend the hotel and have a nice and quiet time. But be careful! The party room faces the courtyard! If you want to enjoy a quiet stay, you should ask when booking whether the ambience was booked for an event (wedding, etc.). Otherwise it can become rather stressful. :D We would come again.
