TASTE OF ASIA in Chemnitz

A real dump! We waited over half an hour for drinks and almost 1.5 hours for our food. The people next to us and behind us arrived much later, but got their food much faster than we did, since we were still waiting. And they were able to leave really quickly. When we asked if we could order anything else, they said "one moment," and then we waited another 15-20 minutes for someone to at least bring us the menu. Don't even bother trying to order anything there. The ice cream platter is also not recommended; it's way too small for the price. (see photo 1) A total rip-off! They want almost €6 for it. And it doesn't even taste good. We never got any dipping sauces either (see photo 2). But they were surprisingly quick at taking payment, I have to give them that. Respect to this dump for that. Not recommended for a relaxed meal! Not recommended for a relaxed meal! They can't even say goodbye or thank you.

We were a party of five for dinner tonight. Initially, everything was fine. Drinks and appetizers arrived promptly. Somehow, they forgot to take our main course order. This only became apparent when the guests who were booked after us arrived and couldn't find a seat at first. After they finally took our order, we waited a full 1.5 hours for our food before we inquired about it. It turns out the order had never reached the kitchen. After waiting another 45 minutes, the food finally arrived after we inquired AGAIN. By this point, we had been sitting there for over two hours and were about to leave. The only apology we received was the lame excuse that they were so busy, it was the waiter's fault, and the sushi was so time-consuming. Any other restaurant would have offered a round of drinks on the house or a discount. Here, we received neither, except for a voucher for desserts. Apparently, nothing else was possible in their system. We found this incredibly cheeky. We won't be coming back anytime soon. That's no way to treat your guests.

The staff was extremely unfriendly. Despite having a reservation, we were turned away with the words, "Tough luck." If you offer online reservations, you should ensure the system works. They could have politely explained that there were no more tables available; instead, they were rude.

The prices are high, and unfortunately, they didn't make any compromises with the dessert, as not everything was available. Nevertheless, the homemade lemonades are very tasty, and the food was also very good. A bit too spicy for my taste.

The food is excellent! The service is nice and friendly, but you sometimes have to wait a bit (as it's usually quite busy). The tables are rather close together, which makes it noisy and not particularly cozy. But the food alone makes it worth coming back!

The restaurant was actually very nicely decorated, but the visit was tiring. The noise level was very high, and the wait staff were practically shouting throughout the restaurant. The atmosphere was very hectic, with people constantly running past the table. The food—I had ramen—was unfortunately only lukewarm and didn't taste great. The dishes belonging to the people sitting at the table were already being cleared away while the others were still eating. In the middle of the checkout process, the waitress changed tables and continued collecting the money from the next table, clearing the table. There are nicer Asian restaurants in Chemnitz. It's a shame.

The interior is beautifully decorated. The food is well-suited to vegetarians. The seitan duck, in particular, is excellent, even if the sauce is a bit overly spicy. The presentation with the dry ice is very appealing. The service was a bit lackluster on our last visit. However, we would return.

We had a reservation, it was overcrowded and we had to go home, that's not possible!

I ordered donburi unagi (fried eel with rice). Unfortunately, both the eel and the rice were absolutely cold. I don't know if that's how it should be or if someone just forgot to heat the food, but it was a bit odd. I've had the same dish in Japan before, and both were warm. They should at least mention it on the menu if it's served cold. It was still tasty, though, thanks to the many fresh ingredients. Parking is free on Sundays, otherwise you have to pay a meter.

Very tasty, would definitely go again. Reservations are recommended.

The ambiance here is undoubtedly unparalleled. Very nice, "typically" Asian decor. The service was quite okay, even if the waiter could have been at the table more frequently. It does happen that you have to wait 10 minutes without a drink. As for the food, I have to say it ranged from "overjoyed" to "dead sad." The sushi we had was truly excellent. It was beautifully presented and a delight to taste. However, the fact that almost every other order we ordered was unavailable really dampened our experience. It got to the point where an Asian restaurant apparently wasn't able to serve tea. Sorry, but I'm not very understanding of that. But the tea was by no means the only thing they didn't have. Overall, a very mixed experience, one I probably won't repeat anytime soon. What a shame!!!

Two of us ate here on Sunday at 8:30 p.m. We reserved a table, but it wasn't necessary. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very inviting. The meal took a normal amount of time, so it was perfectly fine. We both enjoyed it very much!

I've been there several times and highly recommend it. Whether you order the Susi, rice, or noodles, there's something for everyone. The mango curry with your choice of meat, vegetables, and rice, or the Susi, are particularly delicious.

Highly recommended...despite the staff shortage (the owner even apologized for it. Where does that happen with all the complaining these days?), prompt service...the menu tempts you to try everything on it...and top quality...I'll be happy to come back next time I'm in Chemnitz.

We regularly go to Taste of Asia and are absolutely thrilled every time. The food is always fresh, delicious, and prepared with love. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. A real insider tip for anyone who loves Asian cuisine—we're always happy to come back!

Unfortunately, the worst Japanese restaurant in Chemnitz for us at the moment. The service is really strange and they go back and forth about card payments, saying that cash is king! I wonder why, everyone can think for themselves 🤔 The soup wasn't really good in comparison, and the rest of the food was okay, but nothing more. The drinks were too warm and there wasn't enough ice, considering that they apparently use unchilled drinks when mixing cocktails. €170 for 4 people was simply too expensive in comparison. There are better and much cheaper competitors in Chemnitz.

It's an incredible experience eating at this restaurant; it feels like you've entered a portal to another world! The food is truly high-quality, both in taste and appearance! I highly recommend this visit to everyone!

The food was really good. But the service (especially from the owner) was rather...! I asked for a table outside, but apparently there was nothing available. Finally, I sat inside for almost two hours, looking at a free table for two. Could it have been because of my work pants? It couldn't have been the value of my order, as it was above average. When I wanted to pay, he preferred cash. After so much, let's call it a hassle, I only wanted to give him a 70-cent tip. He actually asked: "Just a 70-cent tip?" He didn't want that either. Sorry, but I always liked going there. For more than four years. This was the last time.

Today I was in the city center, walking on business. The sun was blazing and I was very thirsty. On the way I saw a restaurant, it was open. I happily sat at a table in the shade outside, rested and drank green tea. Thank you very much, you helped me feel better in this heat. Heute welt I der Vegs, die Sonne brannte, et ich großen Durst. When we had this restaurant, it was gone. I had to tell you, draw me in chatting in a small room, I then ate and a green tee to eat. Goodbye! In dieser Hitze hat mir das wirklich gutgetan.

Today, I had delicious sushi from Taste of Asia. Everything tasted delicious and was freshly prepared. The service was also excellent. 👌 My overall review gets a "4.3 out of 5.0" star rating. Thank you for the delicious food.

Very tasty food, a good selection, delicious homemade lemonades, friendly service, and a beautiful ambiance. I enjoy eating here again and again.

I've had the pleasure of dining here with my girlfriend several times now. It was always very nice and absolutely delicious. We especially recommend the sushi tempura, the grilled salmon, and the udon noodles with shrimp and red Thai curry👍. The restaurant offers excellent service and a truly romantic ambiance. You feel truly at home. We will definitely treat ourselves to more visits to this restaurant. If you're not bored with Asian food or would like to try something new, go ahead. It can only be good😀.

Fantastic food with generous portions and friendly service in a pleasant atmosphere. The only downside was that the air was stuffy and humid, so it would have been nice to air it out after a while.

So, I don't understand why it's rated 4.7 stars. For it to get 5 stars, everything has to be just right. Unfortunately, the service is chaotic and inattentive. The wrong things were delivered. The drinks order was only delivered the third time, and then it was wrong. Cutlery was missing... The food is well-crafted. Visually well-presented and with special effects like dry ice fog. But unfortunately, the taste is rather bland and lacks something special. Everything tastes pretty much the same. The ambiance is rather dark and seems to be a trendy student spot. I can't understand why I should give it 5 stars when there are two better sushi restaurants nearby, such as Moli Modo and the Japanese Onk Choi. Here, the flavors are much more nuanced and the presentation is more exciting. I've been told several times about similar experiences since I told them. So why 4 stars? It was well-crafted, even if the taste wasn't a masterpiece.

The food was very good. The drinks were poor. The beer wasn't cold, but room temperature. The caipirinha was from a pre-filled bottle with soda and ice. It was missing cane sugar. It wasn't cold either. The food was great, the drinks were a flop.

Actually 5 stars, but offering 3 pieces of Mochi dessert as a ready-made product for €5.90 when 12 pieces cost €2 in the store is pretty cheeky.

We were here for the first time and were very impressed by the whole atmosphere. A friendliness and warmth exuded. Luckily we had a reservation because it was busy at lunchtime. Despite everything, the service was very polite and helpful. We didn't have to wait too long for the food. It was very nicely presented too. The eyes and the heart also want to be addressed.😉 Almost too good to eat. It was very tasty with everything on it. We felt very comfortable and happy that we were there. We would be happy to recommend it.👍

We were here for the first time yesterday and were really thrilled. The four of us had a large selection of sushi. Very tasty, well presented and at €85 an absolutely fair price. If you don't like sushi, you'll find all sorts of other delicious dishes on the menu. Particularly worthy of mention is the fast and super nice service. We'll definitely be back soon 👍🏼

We had an amazing experience. The food was extremely delicious and we got it very fast . We ordered 3 entrys which arrived in less than 5minutes and 10 minutes after that we got our Main course. In total we loved it and the staff was nice.

Sushi is very tasty and clearly presented. The service seems a little overwhelmed when the store is full, but all in all it worked well and we didn't have to wait too long. Unfortunately, one dish was missing, but it was added later. The table right at the front door isn't ideal, but we were very late with our reservation for a Friday evening, so this table was probably the only one available.

Sushi lovers will really get their taste here... the presentation of the food is also breathtaking... an absolute must...

We came today, on a Friday evening, in a group of 19 people and the place was extremely busy! The volume is actually almost unbearable, I have to say. In order to communicate with a person three places away, I wrote messages on my smartphone, and I simply shouted at everyone else around me. I wanted to leave again...But then the friendliest waiter ever came to table 5 and with him a little later the best vegetarian meal we've ever had. The world was suddenly perfect. What can I say? We'll be back! And bring our children with us. Maybe ear plugs too. 😉 See you soon.

The restaurant is creatively and stylishly furnished without losing any of its cosiness. The decoration is amazing, there are fish and umbrellas hanging everywhere, some of the walls are covered in gold and at no point is the eye bored.
