No idea what everyone likes so much here, totally gristly fatty meat, had to throw the kebab away

Incredibly delicious, top value for money 👌

When you come in here: First, look at the restroom – dirty, old, never clean. The kitchen probably looks exactly the same. Floor dirty, stomachache after eating. Hygiene? Disaster. If the authorities come, there will be immediate punishment and closure. Lots of employees there, but no power to change anything.

We decided to come here because of the many good Google reviews. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The meat wasn't cooked properly and was difficult to chew, as if there was something else in it. The bread wasn't baked properly either. Given the many positive reviews, we had expected something completely different. Unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience for us – we wouldn't recommend it.

The food here is excellent. The soups are good. But be prepared for the fact that almost always 2/3 of the soups on the menu are simply not available. The shashlik is very tasty. It's a pity that there is no menu in English. Sometimes you have to wait a long time

The pizza was good. The doner and kebab meat was cold, similar to the one left over from the day before, and very coarsely sliced. Doner meat is also sliced thinly for leaf doner.

My review is for the Yaprak doner. I ate here for the third time today. The classic Yaprak doner for €8. I have to say, this time was the worst. The meat barely tasted of anything. The sauces weren't that tasty either, and they also felt quite heavy (with dill?). Overall, the doner just wasn't really convincing in terms of taste. It also lacked salt, which I've never had before. I would give this doner an honest 6/10, and the two previous times a 7/10. I've had skewered doner in Dresden, and they were far better, and for the same price. Doner in Leipzig, however, are generally difficult to rate. We also had a pinsa, which was better. I'd give it an 8/10. Service was good! Nothing to complain about.

Döner Kebab = Hand-layered meat (no rotisserie), homemade bread, and house-made sauces. Plus a free tea and baklava. All for €8. The absolute best döner in Northern Saxony :)

The portions are large enough. The döner kebab is like a leaf döner kebab in Turkey. The prices are reasonable. They also serve tea. The döner kebab and lamb shish kebab were delicious. I recommend it.

Today, we were walking along Eisenbahnstrasse with our family and discovered this restaurant. We received a warm welcome and were seated. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. Conclusion : This was a complete success for us. The food is impeccable and plentiful. The value for money is simply right here.

The doner kebab plate (2.5/5) was too expensive at €14.50. The yaprak meat was a bit fatty in places and not crispy enough. The noodles were too soft. Doner kebab (4/5) was good – the meat was too fatty and not sliced thinly enough – the bread was fluffy/crispy.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my visit to this charcoal restaurant. The quality of the food didn't meet my expectations, and the service was inattentive. Overall, a very unsatisfying experience, which is why I can only give it two stars. I'll give the place another chance in a few weeks and adjust my rating if necessary.

Was there for the first time today. Highly recommended. You briefly register inside and clarify where you would like/can sit (at least in our experience). You are served. The server was friendly and competent. We sat outside. Super lively atmosphere, clean chairs and tables, generally well-kept and clean. On top of that, there was free, really fluffy, delicious bread with three sauces as a free "starter." For the food: I had a ham pizza. Super, super, super! Very aromatic, the dough was fluffy and crispy. Two more notes: ALCOHOL-FREE - there are no alcoholic beverages. Also, there are only two restrooms for the entire restaurant. Unfortunately, that's far too few. That's the only negative point, but it doesn't detract from the overall 5-star rating.

This was our first time here. Since the weather was nice, we sat outside. There are fixed benches with tables on one side and tables with loose chairs on the other. But you can also sit inside. We received a very friendly welcome and were immediately brought the menu. I opted for the Tavuk Sis (charcoal-grilled chicken skewer) and a water. We didn't have to wait long for our food; shortly before, we were given some flatbread with three different dips. I was really surprised by how large the portions were. You'll definitely be full! So come hungry. Conclusion: The food is really delicious. The portions are generous. The shop is located on Eisenbahnstrasse, so there might be some noise from the street. You might be asked for money now and then, but that's okay. This certainly won't be the last time I come here!

I found this restaurant while I was driving on highway and luckily I was so closed to exit.everything I ate was so delicious.i started with lahmacun.it was very well made.paper thin like it should be.i had eggplant kebabs and that was very satisfying.it was so satisfying i was sad i ate little appetizers they served while you waiting for your food cuz i did not have enough space to try other things on menu.they were so kind to offer me Turkish tea and pierce of baklava.i ll definitely come here again if i ever come close by.there was only one thing i can suggest them to correct.please don’t take empty plates from table and put it on the next table that you have guest.i did not want to see someone else’s left over on my table.it was not professional.bit still they do have delicious food

I was here for the first time today and ordered a doner kebab with salad and fries – and I have to say: it's absolutely delicious! You can immediately tell that the food is cooked with love. They make the skewers themselves, and you can definitely taste it – the meat was superbly seasoned and juicy. The sauces were also really well-balanced, not your run-of-the-mill stuff, but really flavorful. What particularly struck me: The service was incredibly friendly and put you at eye level. No pressure, no fake smiles – just genuinely friendly. You immediately feel at home, as if you've been here many times before. I'll definitely be back! Thank you so much!

Best Turkish restaurant in town! It’s really amazing: the food is exceptional and prices are quite low. I recommend generally speaking to order something from the grill.

Nice welcome at the entrance, nice service afterwards. We haven't had such a nice lahmacun in Turkey for a long time. The content of the ikram grillplatte is also quite full. One portion is easily filling. Prices vary between 15-25. Every time we come to Leipzig, we stop by just for the lahmacun.

I eat at Ikram's regularly – especially the Adana Kebab, which I highly recommend! The meat is superbly seasoned and grilled to perfection. What's especially nice is that you can choose between two types of rice, which adds even more variety. They always serve fresh bread with three different dips beforehand. If I'm in the mood for something different, I also like the mixed pide – also excellent! Great food, fair prices, and friendly service – for me, this is a regular in Leipzig when it comes to Turkish cuisine. 🍢🍽️🥙

We ordered online and food was really very good. The Ikram platter was very large, but everything was delicious. We also ordered bread and dip. Unfortunately you could only choose between 2 vegetarian dishes online. We would be happy to order again.

Delicious barbecue, large portions, a lot of Arabs

We stayed in Leipzig for two nights in a hotel on Eisenbahnstrasse and were looking for a place to have dinner. There was already a smell outside the door and we looked inside. We were warmly welcomed and the contents of the display cases and the other dishes in the topic area were explained. We chose mixed skewers and chicken skewers from the charcoal grill with side dishes. A very good choice! It was super tasty and plentiful. Afterwards enjoy a good tea and atmosphere. We had a table outside and were very satisfied. We would love to be here again on our next trip to Leipzig.

My favorite in Leipzig when it comes to Turkish food! The Adana skewer and the kebab are particularly recommended. The meat is real layered meat and not minced meat - top quality and great taste. Absolutely recommended!

I had a doner kebab with yabrak meat here. I had expected more from the meat. The bread was standard, but the salad was very fresh and the sauces were also delicious. For me, the service made the difference; they were very friendly to children! I'll be back :-)

İskender kebab was a disappointment. There were 2-3 pieces of cartilage in it, and the meat was chicken instead of beef. The bread was old and the salad wasn't fresh. However, Adana kebab and the lamb chops were good. These are my impressions.

Unfortunately the food wasn't tasty. Their appetizers and pitas are stale. It is very stuffy inside the restaurant and the tables are mostly dirty. For example, they make iskender from chicken kebab, but the real iskender is made from kebab leaves(made from meat) and beyti here has nothing to do with the one in Turkey.

The Charcoal Restaurant offers an authentic grilling experience that is appreciated if you like the taste of charcoal. The meat quality was OK, but not outstanding. The portion sizes were acceptable, but the food could have been served a little hotter. The atmosphere is rustic and pleasant, but the service was a bit slow at times, especially at peak times. In terms of price, the restaurant is in the middle range, which is okay for what is on offer. Overall, a solid restaurant for a casual barbecue meal, but there's definitely room for improvement.

In Leipzig, Germany, on EisenbahnstraBe street, on the street where Turkish and Arabic restaurants are located, a great place where you can host your clean, delicious friends serving döner, shish kebab, eggplant kebab, lahmacun, pide and soup varieties. I had the lentil soup and Adana kebab, the inspection was great, thanks to the masters, I recommend it.

The food is always excellent. The restaurant is not for people who are vegetarian or vegan, as the restaurant specializes in meat and grilled dishes (which is actually clear). The staff is friendly, sometimes with a language barrier, but that has never been a problem. I've been here about 20 times now and every time it's been very good. A bit of a shame; There is not always kunafa for dessert. But that simply means that you always “have to” take it when you can (because it’s just way too good)!

The Food is amazing but the atmosphere is not family friendly, angry face waiters . It’s feels like they are going to fight with you.

Absurd, I had hair in my food, there were bones in the chicken pieces and the employees are disrespectful, when I pointed it out to them they didn't come to my aid

I had dinner there with my boyfriend a few weeks ago and it was incredibly delicious. Before the meal there was a delicious starter, I wasn't expecting that at all. The friendly staff looked for a new place for my companion because he was blinded by the sun. Very accommodating and the best meal we've had in a long time!

One of my absolute favorite restaurants on Eisenbahnstrasse! I'm here at least once a week. Daily reports are great, as is most of the menu. Particularly noteworthy are Lahmacun and Pide, kebab especially the veal kebab is great! Favorite dish: Mixed grill platter! A little more expensive but easily enough for 2 if you have a normal appetite :) Also great: when you are in the restaurant you are always served homemade sauces and bread. Definitely worth a visit!

The Yaprak kebab was really delicious. Certainly went straight into my top 5 kebabs. Even if it costs €7.50, which didn't matter to me at the moment. I stood there all alone for a while without even being looked at. Maybe it was because both of them were preparing food behind the counter to be picked up... but we don't know - it almost went away. But then it was noticed by the gentleman who rotates in the shop and then everything went smoothly...and in a friendly way. Will definitely come back.

Tables outside were all not clean. To order you have to go to the counter. To pay you also have to go to the counter. Consequently, the outdoor area systematically belongs to the snack bar and not restaurant category.
