Die besten Restaurants in Mainz

A year ago I was super happy. Today I ate here again and nothing was right. The chicken was so dry you could throw it against the wall and service was also impossible. I won't eat here anymore. Shame about the money

Wir machen dort 1x jährl. Familientreffen. Alle dort sind sehr herzlich. Service und Küche sprechen wir ein großes Lob aus. So geht Freundlichkeit,gute Speisen,normale Preise (der Qualität entsprechend)D.h.für gutes Essen zahle ich auch gerne mehr.Die Atmosphäre dort ist so gut das wir seit Jahren kommen. Und wir kommen v. Marburg,also nicht gerade mal um die Ecke. Glg an das Team.

During our trip to my hometown Frankfurt, we decided to take an excursion to Mainz, the capital of Rheinland-Pfalz. It was lunch time, and I wanted some food from the Eastern Mediterranean Area. There were no Balkan places close, so I picked a Greek place. Delphi is hidden in a back alley but easy to find with a map app. It was a hot summer day. There was inside and outside seating. As it was already 2 pm, there were not many guests left. Some were sitting inside, some outside. We entered the venue and had to go all the way to the back to see any staff. I asked if we could sit anywhere, and we were told that they close at 3 pm. I knew that, although usually this means that you cannot enter after 3. Strange, especially for a restaurant with folks from that region. The whole staff was unusually unfriendly for a Greek place. Instead of the usual family like greeting and service, we had cold and dour waiters. The food was tasty though my pork souvlaki as well as my husband's pork steak was very tough. Also, the place does not take credit cards, only German debit cards, which was not uncommon 10 years ago but is rare these days.

Für ein sehr kleines Cordon Bleue mit sehr überschaubaren Pommes ( statt der Ursprünglich bestellten Rösties) 23,50 € fanden ich und meine Freundin sehr , sehr viel Geld.Meine Freundin hst aufgrund der sehr hohen Preise für sehr kleine Portionen extra nur was kleines bestellt .Trotz Platzreservierung nur einen Gsrtentisch mit Nornslen Stühlen mitten in den Raum gestellt , hatte danach grosse Kreuzschmerzen , kann nur jedem davon abraten und sagen einmal und nie wieder.

Unfreundlicher Service, fetttriefendes Essen, zugemülltes Ambiente, gesalzene Preise. Neben dem Weg zum Außenbereich lag Altpapier und anderer Müll auf dem Boden. Die schmutzigen Tische im Garten sind übersät von Flecken, die Gartenklappstühle unbequem, die eine Bedienung sprach kein Wort Deutsch, die andere lief ständig an uns vorbei ohne einen Blick auf uns zu richten oder leere Gläser etc. mitzunehmen. Das Essen war extrem fettig bzw. ölig. Das alles zu überhöhten Preisen. Insgesamt eine Katastrophe. Nie wieder!

Burger chain, very tasty and good selection (also vegetarian/vegan, everything labeled). The Avocado Fries and Pepperbush are my favorite. They are currently included in Neotaste, so you can still save some money.

The location and the ambience itself were quite well done. Service was nice and courteous. What really irritated me was that there are QR codes at the tables with the menu, but it doesn't have any prices. I first had to ask for a physical card where the prices were. The cocktails were good in terms of price/performance, but the pizza was unfortunately a bit too hard and dry, especially on the edge.

Lokal ganz nett eingerichtet. Toilette sauber. Portionen relativ klein und nur lauwarm. Schwach gewürzt. Servicedame spricht nur das allernötigste. Gibt bessere Griechen.

Old vegetables, meat like leather, very dry kebab

Burger was tasty and well topped. Fries very crispy and tasty. Waikiki salad with pizza rolls perfect and good vinegar/oil dressing. Overall, everything tippi topi would be happy again 😋
