Aposto Mainz in Mainz

I appreciate that they offer different pizza options; it's a nice change. Unfortunately, the pizza itself didn't impress me at all. There was nothing wrong with the taste, but it was just okay. Price-wise, you can get better food for the same money. €15 is too much. It's worth mentioning that the food was delivered, which is a different experience than eating in.

I got a table right away without a reservation. I was traveling alone. I was asked if I wanted a high table or a regular table. The place is cozy and stylish. The service was very friendly. The food and drinks were excellent. If I'm ever in Mainz again, I'll definitely go back.

It was cozy and great here! Andy from the service team took perfect care of us and patiently accommodated our special requests. The price is a bit higher, but the quality is worth it.

Aposto used to be our favorite restaurant. Unfortunately, the menu has changed, and we're wondering WHY? The fancy pasta with the delicious mango sauce has simply been replaced with cranberry sauce, which tastes awful, and the "Brandstifter" pizza is gone from the menu altogether. The taste just isn't what it used to be. The ambiance is really nice, but the value for money is simply no longer there. 😔

Very tasty food, but the kitchen's opening hours are unreliable. The online menu clearly states that they're open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, but we were sent away at 10:30 p.m. Unfortunately, opening hours are useless if you simply don't stick to them.

We were here yesterday to celebrate a birthday. All the food and drinks were fine, and the service was very friendly until the second round. However, when the second round arrived, instead of politely asking us to be quiet, the waiter simply shouted "Shhh!" loudly. That was completely unnecessary and simply disrespectful.

We had pizza and lasagna. It was very tasty. Friendly service. We were also rewarded with a generous tip.

I often go to Aposto Mainz for lunch with my husband or friends. The staff are always friendly, attentive, and very nice. Just today, Andy greeted us at the door and showed us to our table. He's incredibly attentive, has a great overview of the place, and was very friendly and approachable. Keep up the good work, dear Aposto team! I hope the owner appreciates his staff! ;)

My mom and I ate at Aposto for the first time, and the food was absolutely delicious! I had the half-and-half pizza with fughi e prosciutto and chicken mango. My mom had the pizza salsiccia piccante, and for dessert, tiramisu. The server, Andi, was also very friendly and attentive! We will definitely come back again.

The food was very tasty, but unfortunately a bit more expensive. The staff were generally friendly. HOWEVER, that was the last time I went to Aposto. A friend and I went there using the NeoTaste app. When we showed it before ordering, the server approved it. However, when we paid, we were accidentally charged the full amount. After speaking with the server and the manager, we were told that a refund was no longer possible and that we should come back another day and choose a free meal, no matter which one we wanted. The next day, we both returned to the restaurant to get the refund. When we spoke to the server, we were told that the meal we chose was more expensive than what we had eaten the day before. This was true, but we argued that we were both only there yesterday for Neotaste and had assumed it was convenient for us. Neither of us was coming directly from the city, so we had gone to extra expense to come back. Aposto, however, didn't make the mistake with the bill. The waiter stood by his position, and we had to choose a meal that was cheaper than the restaurant's. However, we still get two stars for the service, as the waitress was really nice the day before and couldn't have done anything about the inconvenience.

My fiancé and I come here regularly for a cozy evening with a delicious protein pizza! The dough is highly recommended. We're also very impressed with the lovely Andy, the waiter at Aposto. He's truly personable and always puts a smile on your face. 😊

We were here six years ago and were very impressed by the service, the great selection of drinks, and the simple yet delicious food. Now we've been back to Aposto and even had the same friendly service. Everything was top-notch again! Many thanks to Andi, who served us excellently ☺️

We spontaneously went to Aposto for dinner. We were actually looking forward to it, even though, as a half-Italian, I'm always a bit skeptical. However, we were curious because of a gourmet block I once received as a gift, which was what first drew our attention to the restaurant (as non-locals). What can I say? The food was quite delicious, not authentically Italian, but adapted to the European palate. The service, unfortunately, was abysmal... Disinterested, irritable waiter who gave you the impression that he abjectly detested his job, didn't even know the basics of dealing with guests, and spoke in a tone that promised more than embarrassing. We weren't even asked, no recommendations, not even a single look when we mentioned the gourmet block (which every restaurant voluntarily chooses to offer). We were treated like second-class citizens and, well, completely unprofessional. We normally happily and generously tip, even for standard service, but this was abysmal. Simply embarrassing for colleagues, who probably take their job seriously and are just being nice; it's not about anything, classic run-of-the-mill work instructions, be nice to guests, after all they're supposed to leave money and ideally come back... perhaps a different job, for example in the storeroom, without customer contact, would be more appropriate.

I recently returned to Aposto for the first time in 10 years. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. It used to be cozy, and the food was good (a bit of everything, not just Italian). My pizza tasted like nothing, and you could hardly find any quality ingredients (not even proper mozzarella on a margarita). Unfortunately, I won't be going there again.

We went to Aposto in Mainz. The pizza was delicious. Unfortunately, the knives were a disaster. They didn't cut anything at all. It would be great if they could replace them. Unfortunately, I didn't get the food as advertised on the menu. I had a Salsiccia Picante pizza with tricolor tomatoes. My expectations were disappointed. Instead of salsiccia (a typical Italian sausage), I had pepperoni sausage as a topping, and the three-colored tomatoes were also just red tomatoes. The waiter was overwhelmed by my complaint, as he thought salsicca simply meant sausage... I request that you revise this and use the products you advertise on the menu. Otherwise, I feel cheated...

The food was great. We all had different dishes, everything tasted really good, and everything was ready at the same time. The server (Andy) was very attentive and courteous. We had a very pleasant stay.

We waited an hour for our food. The Sarti Spritz wasn't fizzy anymore when the food finally arrived on the table... or rather, it was long gone 😑 I can't really recommend it for anyone with a huge appetite :(

We had to wait over an hour for our food (it was only two pizzas) after placing our order. When we asked, we were told the food would be right there. After another 30 minutes, the food still hadn't arrived. This really wasn't a pleasant restaurant experience and definitely not recommended! We discovered Aposto through the Schlemmerblock magazine. The pizza was really good and the prices were reasonable. The service was pleasant and friendly.

We were here for the first time today with the Schlemmerblock. The food was absolutely amazing and super fresh, which you can immediately taste and see. My husband had the Calzone Männersache (Men's Thing), and I had the Papardelle Gartenglück (Garden Happiness). The portions were very generous, incredibly delicious, and the price was great, too. The staff are soooo friendly, and the service is perfect. We highly recommend Aposto.

We ate there yesterday for the second time in the last two months. The waiters were all very friendly and prompt. The drinks and food we ordered also arrived very quickly. But the best part, of course, was that all the food was truly delicious! From the appetizers to the main courses and dessert, we both enjoyed it very much. I've been to this restaurant with my family many times, and we really enjoyed it. They have a good selection of summer cocktails. I really like the pizza there. And the prices are quite reasonable.

We were supposed to go to al cortile at 10:30 PM, but they were sent on, because they were already closed (open until 11:00 PM). At 10:45 PM, we got our pizzas at Aposto, and they were amazing. The service (Andi) was excellent, super friendly, relaxed, and quick. We'll be back.

Eight of us went to Aposto, and we had a delicious meal. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. However, it was veeeery warm and stuffy. The cocktails weren't very well mixed (the mojito had way too much lemon, making it too sour). Our conclusion: definitely don't sit inside in the summer; we'd rather sit outside. We'd love to come back, but when it's not so warm outside.

Good cocktail bar in Mainz – and Andi is a feeling! If you want a drink with heart and hand feeling, then there's only one: Andi! A bartender like from a picture book – fast, charming, and with the taste of a Cologne angel on vacation. Every cocktail is a little special, and Andi knows exactly what you need before you even know it yourself. The atmosphere is top-notch, the bar is cozy, and the feeling? Like in the neighborhood – just with a bit of Mainz flair.

The interior decor can be described as appealingly modern, with a style that exudes a certain quirkiness or originality, thus creating a contemporary atmosphere. This contributed significantly to the positive overall impression. During this visit, I ordered non-alcoholic cocktails. The quality of the drinks was excellent; they proved to be tasty, and the prices were reasonable. The service deserves special mention: The server in charge was extremely friendly and attentive throughout, which made the experience very pleasant. Due to the late hour and the kitchen already closed, I was unfortunately unable to sample the food on offer. This precludes an assessment of the culinary aspects. A small, constructive note concerns the condition of the menus: Some copies showed slight signs of wear. Regular inspection and, if necessary, replacement of the menus could help maintain the high standards. In summary, our stay at Aposto Mainz left a consistently positive impression. The quality of the drinks, the excellent service, and the appealing ambiance speak for themselves. We intend to visit the restaurant again on future occasions to explore the promising menu.

Eine Katastrophe! Als Carbonara wird ein Teller mit großen Baconstreifen serviert. Die Soße schmeckt schlimmer als die fertige von Maggi Carbonara. Als der Teller kam musste ich überlegen ob ich ein Amerikanisches Frühstück esse oder eine Carbonara. Geschmacklich war es eine Katastrophe .Auf Anfrage ob ich vielleicht das Gericht gegen ein anderes Gericht für den selben Preis tauschen kann bekam ich ein unfreundliches NEIN. Überall wo ich bisher essen war war dies möglich nur hier nicht. Generell habe ich sehr lange gewartet um zu bestellen und um das Gericht zu erhalten. Die Kellnerin fragte mich weder ob alles in Ordnung war oder ob ich noch was noch bestellen möchte. Erst als ich den Chef verlangt habe wollte mich am Ende eine ''Leiterin'' mit einem ''Espresso aufs Haus'' abspeisen. Der Inhaber bzw Chef dort ist sehr unhöflich was das Verhalten der anderen Mitarbeiter wieder spiegelt. Das Essen ist sehr sehr sehr weit entfernt von der italienischen Küche und kommt nicht mal annähernd an die italienische Küche an. Nie wieder .

The waitresses are very rude, never again!

The house soda (0.4 liters) consists of 50 percent ice cubes, and it comes at an exorbitant price of €6. Nobody cared about my complaint at the bar, only the waitress was sympathetic. Tip: Always order without ice, or don't go there at all.

If you know what to expect, you can go there. Eating authentic pizza is something else entirely. Aposto is more like an American diner than a pizzeria. The pizza creations would make any Italian's heart sink. No offense.

We a stopped here for lunch on a beautiful Sunday in Mainz. Great outdoor seating, really good thin crust pizzas and the server was friendly and spoke English. Try the limoncello spritz- it was great!
