A superb lunch for under 11 euros, served promptly by friendly staff. A lovely shady spot under maple trees. What more could you want? We were very impressed. We'd gladly return.

We went there for dinner today. I had a farmer's plate and I have to say, I've never had such bad Greek food. The liver was so lumpy it was inedible. I can't even tell what the minced meat was made of. Everything was swimming in fat. The rice was tasteless, and what was supposed to be tzatziki was also inedible. Where the good reviews come from is beyond me. We'll definitely never eat there again.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. We were really looking forward to the fish platter, but we were unfortunately unpleasantly surprised. Everything on the plate (calamari and fish) was completely deep-fried and absolutely tasteless. Wet fish under the breading and undercooked. The two scampi were okay, but unfortunately, there was no extra plate for the shells, so we had to put them on our regular plates. The stars go mainly to the service staff, who were quick and friendly. No vegetarian dishes! Definitely way too overpriced for this quality of food and only tolerable with the gourmet block. We probably won't be back, which is a real shame.

Das Essen im Restaurant Delphi war nach unserer Erfahrung schon mal besser. Nach einem Restaurantbesuch vor etwa einem Jahr mussten wir feststellen, dass die Qualtität nachgelassen hat. Leider war das Gericht mit Gyros-Fleisch sehr fettig (Fettstücke habe ich entfernen müssen). Steak und Souflaki, vom Fleisch kein Unterschied, waren zäh und damit schwer genießbar. Das zweite Gericht war ebenfalls mit einem zähen Stück Fleisch versehen; die dazugehörige Leber war allerdings ok. Der Beilagensalat setzte sich aus einem öligen Kraut- und nicht angemachten Eisbergsalat zusammen. Also ein Salat mit wenig schmackhaft.

Guests at the Mainz motorhome parking space. Ordered food over the phone at 7 p.m. At 8 p.m. I asked if it was coming. Answer: Driver should be there at any moment. At 9 p.m. the driver (very friendly) asks for directions... great, since I'm just visiting. Then the food arrives lukewarm. Instead of the fries we ordered, there was rice. The meat (rich) of moderate quality (lots of gristle and fat). The salad was objectively dressed with too much vinegar. Never there again, sorry.

Delicious food in a pleasant atmosphere, with excellent service. The restaurant is located on a side street near St. Peter's Church and offers what feels like an endless amount of space spread across several levels.

Miserabel! Der Vorspeisenteller sollte für 1 Person sein, wurde als großer Teller für 2 abgerechnet. Hauptgericht Fisch für 20,50 € dann mit 22,50 € abgerechnet. Welcher Fisch? Serviert wurde eine frittierte Panade mit innen etwas wenigem weißem Schmierigem, das nicht mal nach Fisch schmeckte. Die ausgeschriebenen Bratkartoffeln dazu waren frittierte Kartoffelscheiben. Alles getoppt mit einer Art geschmacksneutralen „Berner“ Sauce. Optisch wäre ein Imbiss besser, geschmacklich unterirdisch und nach altem Frittieröl. Meine Tochter bestellte statt der Bratkartoffeln den sonst so geliebten roten Reis, der sich dann als Reis mit Tomatenmark entpuppte und nicht genießbar war. Das Essen ist ein Desaster. Die Reklamation nahm der Kellner so entgegen, als sei es ihm egal. Die Bedienung war schnell, es hatte alles aber den Eindruck einer Massenabfertigung. Über 72 € zum Fenster rausgeschmissen.

Hello, my husband and I went to Schlemmerblock for dinner on a Saturday evening. When asked which vegetarian main dishes they can offer, I was told that I can only choose from the starters. I ordered rice noodles with cheese gratin and saganaki as the main course, my husband ordered liver with fried potatoes and a side salad. The quality of the food was ok, the saganaki needed more heat and browning, the salad had no dressing, the fried potatoes were without spices, the rice noodles in Metaxa sauce were great. Actually there is a free main course with the gourmet block, unfortunately we didn't have this because I couldn't order a vegetarian main course and had to switch to two starters, one starter was waived. I know this differently from other Greek restaurants. Even when I asked, I wasn't offered any alternatives other than starters. No go in this day and age. Conclusion: we would no longer eat at the Delphi because vegetarians are neglected and the service was also quite unfriendly.

The ambience was ok. The service was a bit rough and seemed indifferent. The food was totally over-seasoned, it was salty and the fried potatoes I had with me were totally mushy and limp. The Metaxa sauce didn't taste good either. All in all, we won't be coming back.

I had the food delivered and unfortunately it arrived cold. I think if you get it fresh locally it's okay. But not like that, in these cardboard boxes that were soggy and the fat had already leaked out. Didn't look very appetizing.

Already the second time that the delivery person (curly hair, sports suit) had no change. How can something like that be? Should this generate more income for the boss or more tips for the delivery person? The first time it was 5€, the second time it was almost 10€!! I can't confirm the bad reviews about the Schlemmerblock. We were also there with the Schlemmerblock. The portions were more than enough, so I had half of my dish packed for me. Food was good. The side salad was a bit unimaginative and very simple. The fried potatoes could also have been crispier. I would actually have to give the service two ratings. The lady who served us was extremely friendly and accommodating. He also asked in between if everything was okay. After dinner there was an ouzo and an espresso on the house. The male waiter was a bit out of his job, very grumpy and in a bad mood. I also find the new ambience very modern and appealing and yet you know that you are still in a Greek restaurant.

According to the notice on the front door, the restaurant is open until 3 p.m. and serves hot food until 2:30 p.m. We arrived at 2:02 p.m. and were greeted by an unfriendly waiter who looked at his wristband and said, "We're only open until half past two!" We have been visiting this restaurant quite frequently for many years and nothing like this has ever happened to us. Apparently there was a change of ownership because the food wasn't quite as good as it used to be.

Very tasty food, just be careful when ordering that the right things are delivered. I've had a Bifteki delivered to me three times now instead of the Bifteki special (with Metaxa/cheese gratinated and a little more expensive), but it was always returned/delivered quickly and easily. To avoid something like that, maybe rename the Bifteki Special to Metaxa Bifteki or something like that? (The names are quite similar, which can lead to confusion)

The last order was faulty, we told them by phone and we were told that when we placed our next order we should let them know that they would come to meet us. We did it today and nothing was done. If you let us know and it's ignored, it's a shame we pay enough for the food and you don't get everything delivered.

We were only in Mainz for the weekend and found the restaurant by chance. It's a Greek restaurant and I highly recommend it. There were 4 of us, we had different dishes and we were all very satisfied, everything tasted very good and was rich. Food: baked potatoes- yummy, though they use the same oil over and over again, which is so unhealthy! İt makes you wonder, if they do the same with other foods. Meat: Hacksteak, grilled chicken were very delicious, Gyros didn't have much fat either - which is very important to me. İn general a lot of (bad, cheap) oil is used, also for the salads. İ care about the foods I put into my body. The place is tasty, but eating healthy is something else. PS: they have a cheap lunch menu from Monday to Friday.

Nice garden outside the premises. The decor inside is a bit outdated. Could wait for renovation. A plate of meats (lamb, chicken and pork) deliciously prepared. The portion was too big, my friends couldn't eat it. The seafood wasn't very tasty. One of the shrimp seemed stale. The squid was missing something and the fish was tasty. High-level service. The restaurant was packed and yet they made room for four adults and three children. The food was good and we didn't have to wait long with the children.

A pretty tasty Greek. The volume is enormous, at least in the back area near the stairs. It was very busy that evening, which was evident from the waiting time. But everything was just about within limits. Starter (for 7 people approx. 20 minutes) Main course approx. 45 minutes after ordering) Prices are perfectly fine.

Were there again for the first time in 9 years. Ambience freshly renovated inside, toilets are clean, outside not attractive. Except for one, the waitresses were very nice and polite. We sat in the basement room. There are mold stains everywhere, the paint is peeling off everywhere. Uncomfortable chairs. There is rubbish everywhere. Food and service rather average. We felt a bit unwanted. It was definitely an “unforgettable” birthday. The parking situation is also a disaster.

Unfortunately our visit last night was not as expected. Two waiters were standing right in front of the entrance door, we asked them if there was a free table without saying anything and we were shown with a hand gesture that there was free seating. Then we turned around and went into the restaurant. We were a bit surprised by this “nice” behavior. Since we became aware of the restaurant through the gourmet block, I had already looked at the menu online in advance. To our shock, the Bifteki Special now cost 23 euros on the menu in the restaurant, instead of the 16.80 euros as on the homepage. The side salad looked a bit sad and not really appealing, but our main prices were really very good. All in all, the service could be a little more alert and the prices should be adjusted online as quickly as possible, but our main courses were really very tasty. Given the Schlemmerblock discount, we would definitely come again.

During our trip to my hometown Frankfurt, we decided to take an excursion to Mainz, the capital of Rheinland-Pfalz. It was lunch time, and I wanted some food from the Eastern Mediterranean Area. There were no Balkan places close, so I picked a Greek place. Delphi is hidden in a back alley but easy to find with a map app. It was a hot summer day. There was inside and outside seating. As it was already 2 pm, there were not many guests left. Some were sitting inside, some outside. We entered the venue and had to go all the way to the back to see any staff. I asked if we could sit anywhere, and we were told that they close at 3 pm. I knew that, although usually this means that you cannot enter after 3. Strange, especially for a restaurant with folks from that region. The whole staff was unusually unfriendly for a Greek place. Instead of the usual family like greeting and service, we had cold and dour waiters. The food was tasty though my pork souvlaki as well as my husband's pork steak was very tough. Also, the place does not take credit cards, only German debit cards, which was not uncommon 10 years ago but is rare these days.

Die Bedienungen waren ausreichend und die Anzahl der Gäste überschaubar. Trotzdem ignorierte man uns mehrfach. Bis wir mal bestellt hatten verging gefühlt eine Ewigkeit. Der Arzt Kellner sprach kein Deutsch - der nächste kam dann irgendwann… eine Karte hatten wir uns selbst organisiert. Das Essen kam schnell. Leider war der Salat total lieblos und qualitativ schlecht: nurEisberg und etwas Krautsalat - das viel zu ölig und dann noch faule Salatblätter. Hauptspeise zunächst okay, dann der Ekelfaktor: Langes schwarzes Haar im Essen! 🤢 Es gab keinen Ouzo aufs Haus und es wurde sich auch nicht wirklich entschuldigt! Beim Bezahlen war ich echt sauer dass man nicht mal von sich aus etwas angeboten hat! Auf Nachfrage hätte ich mir dann noch Nachtisch oder Kaffee aussuchen dürfen aber die Lust aufs Essen war mir gründlich vergangen! Hab nach Metaxa gefragt, der wurde mir dann auch gebracht. Wir kommen nicht wieder.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 7 Personen dort und hatten eine Woche vorher schon reserviert. Wir bestellten um 19.10 h 3 Vorspeisen und die Getränke sowie die Hauptspeisen. Während die Getränke noch im üblichen Zeitrahmen serviert wurden benötigten die Vorspeisen schon rund 30 Minuten. Das Personal schaute großteils bei der Arbeit mit finsterer Miene. Freundlich- oder Gastlichkeit waren an diesem Abend nicht gegeben. Als wir nach 1 Stunde fragten ob es noch lange dauern würde kam ein „Ist gleich fertig“. Nach 75 Minuten wurden dann endlich der Hauptspeisen serviert. Eine Entschuldigung oder ein Einsehen nach ansprechen über die lange Zubereitungszeit gab es zunächst mal nicht. Erst nach Diskussion wurde sich dann entschuldigt. Leider war das servierte Essen zum größeren Teil bei Mehreren von schlechter Qualität. Ich hatte z.B. einen Grillteller Zeus für rund 23 Euro. Das Souflaki war zäh, das Schweinefilet wie eine Schuhsole und sehnig und das Suzuki trocken und verwürzt. Als die Rechnung dann mit nur kleinem Trinkgeld unsererseits beglichen wurde, war man wohl in der Belegschaft sauer. Der zugesagte Ouzo auf das Haus wurde schlicht und ergreifend nicht serviert. Da wir das Delphi von früher anders kennen können wir nach diesen Erfahrungen nur ganz klar davon abraten.

Wir waren am 22.07.24 nach einem Termin dort Abends essen. Ich muss sagen sehr enttäuschend. Wir bekamen einen Tisch draussen, das war ok . Bestellt haben wir einen Rose und ein Weinschorle.... die dann ziemlich "warm" am Tisch ankamen. Dann wurde das Essen bestellt . Nach 40 Minuten habe ich dann mal nachgefragt,. Man hat uns einfach vergessen 🤷‍♀️. Nochmal Bestellung aufgenommen, kam dann auch das Essen . Bestellt hatten wir mit Pommes statt Reis . Das wurde dann vergessen 🙈. Etwas angesäuert mittlerweile hab ich dann den Kellner gerufen und gesagt ich hatte ohne Reis und mit Pommes bestellt.... der Kellner drehte sich rum ohne ein Wort und stellte dann ebenfalls ohne ein Wort Pommes hin. Muss ehrlich sagen, daß ist mir so noch nie passiert 🤷‍♀️. Wir kommen leider nicht wieder .

Wir haben das Restaurant im Schlemmerblock entdeckt und waren nun zum 2. Mal hier. Gyros, Leber, Parga-Platte und Bifteki waren sehr schmackhaft. Der Service war gut, ein ganz wenig chaotisch;-) Zum Abschluss des gemütlichen Abends gab es Uozu aufs Haus. Vielen Dank.

You should urgently update your prices! On your site it says €13.80 for a bifteki, but in reality I paid €32.50 for 2 portions. The taste was okay, but the minced meat was still red. A disappointment.
