Für Freunde und Kenner der griechischen Küche ist das familiär geführte Restaurant "Nostalgia" in Linz/Rhein am oberen Stadttor eine erstklassige Adresse. Die kleine, aber feine Speisekarte spezialisiert sich auf die traditionelle griechische Küche, auf Fertiggerichte wird dankenswerterweise verzichtet. Auch die Getränkekarte ist fast ausschließlich "griechisch". Der Service könnte freundlicher nicht sein. An einem der liebevoll hergerichteten Tische an einem lauen Sommerabend vor dem Restaurant zu sitzen, hat schon fast eine mediterrane Atmosphäre. Ich werde das Nostalgia erneut besuchen.

A great restaurant, very cozy with delicious food.

Very tasty food, I can only recommend it. I ate the bruschetta there as a starter and had the tagliatelle with venison goulash and red cabbage as my main course.

The restaurant impresses with its nice and cozy atmosphere, which in our case was particularly suitable for a small Christmas party. The table right next to the open fire creates a very inviting and warm atmosphere that invites you to linger. The home-style cuisine is solid and OK, but without particularly standing out. The focus here is more on down-to-earth and classic dishes. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly and authentic service, which enriched the evening with its warm manner. As a nice extra, there was a fruit brandy on the house at the end, which rounded off the evening pleasantly. Overall, a recommended address for anyone who wants to have a relaxing time.

I rarely write reviews, but this one has to be written because unfortunately you CANNOT contact the supplier by phone!!! I've never had something so utterly bad on my plate. I ordered a simple schnitzel with Bolognese, ham and cheese gratinated. What did I get? A Bolognese sauce that tastes sour and spoiled, no cheese, no ham. The sauce had a really strange consistency, just gagging-worthy. The schnitzels were so rancid and old that you could have resoled shoes with them. The side salad was iceberg lettuce with a dollop of creme fraiche. No joke!!! 🤢🤢🤢 I even had to throw up after the piece of schnitzel I tried. I then wanted to contact the supplier by phone, but the number that can be found on the Internet is not in use. In short: I have never had anything so disgusting and bad in a snack bar for €27. I wouldn't eat this even if it was a gift! The fact that something like this is delivered at all is a bottomless impudence. They probably wouldn't eat something like that themselves. I absolutely cannot recommend this snack bar and it is definitely not a “restaurant”!!! 🤮🤮🤮

Food (mussels) was delicious, the second meal pork fillet with gorgonzola sauce was also good. Service was quick and friendly. I think it's €18.90 for mussels Really sporty.

Schnitzel ist nicht empfehlenswert (aus die Fritteuse schnell) und Bratkartoffeln welche nicht die Name verdienen haben,sind als leicht gekochte Kartoffel serviert.

In a restaurant like this you should at least expect that the schnitzel doesn't come from the freezer, which is a shame.

Great location, that's all. Apparently there was no more vanilla ice cream and no strawberries either. Waffle was too dark and bitter in taste. But they didn't want to believe that and said it couldn't be because the waffle iron controls it automatically. We were there with 8 people and almost all of us had something wrong or something to complain about. Service was also just so-so.
