Location:
The Aqua is located in the Hotel Ritz-Carlton within the Autostadt and can be reached by car or on foot from the city center/main train station in about 15 minutes. It is located in the side wing of the hotel on the ground floor, access via the hotel entrance.
Ambiance:
The restaurant has a simple, unobtrusive design, almost matter-of-fact, and offers space for around 30 guests. The tables are generously placed and there is enough distance from the neighboring tables. The view from the floor-to-ceiling windows into the almost Japanese-looking garden and over the water of the harbor basin and the Mittelland Canal to the power plant and the city center is very beautiful. The audience was very mixed, from couples to families to business people. No dress code.
Service:
A young, competent team served perfectly choreographed and at the same time very personal and attentive. Our server, who was mainly responsible for us (many thanks again for the crumbler), the advice from the sommelier and, above all, the very attentive young lady at the cheese cart were committed and their recommendations perfectly suited our taste.
We were greeted personally and, in keeping with the occasion of the evening, there was a personal card signed by the entire team on the table.
The menu:
We had asked in advance for a fish-based menu without meat, which was implemented without any problems.
The seven-course menu offered at least three courses that, from our experience, were 100% perfect in composition and execution, none of the other courses were far from perfect, the flavors were always creatively and skillfully combined, more reduced-simple than artificial; Four different types of citrus were used during the course, and the fish was prepared 100% to perfection. Impressive. The wine accompaniment was appropriately selected and was in no way inferior to the menu.
Conclusion:
A wonderfully enjoyable evening. In terms of the quality of what is on offer - according to the three stars of the Michelin Guide - it is actually worth a trip.
What - despite all the satisfaction - could possibly have further improved the overall experience would have been a somewhat more intimate lighting concept and an overall somewhat more individual, more personally designed ambience.
Thanks to the boss and his entire team for this great experience, we'll be happy to come back!
The food was neither fresh nor particularly tasty. The foul was disappointing and the other dishes left a lot to be desired. The preparation took far too long because there was only one person in service. The prices were cheap, but that didn't make up for the quality. I didn't find the salad particularly good in terms of taste (it was a bit old) and overall the falafel box was boring in terms of taste. The staff was friendly, but that couldn't make up for the many deficiencies. We were even given a piece of cake to try, which unfortunately wasn't convincing either. If we came from Osnabrück, we certainly wouldn't come back. Not recommended!
The "Lister Laube" restaurant is a "pearl of Hanover's restaurant culture."
The cozy atmosphere is incredible, and the drinks and food are delicious. Asparagus couldn't taste better in spring, and homemade (!) mulled wine, the likes of which you can't find even at most Christmas markets, at Christmastime.
I think the "Brother's Kitchen" will be a success.
Absolute insider tip! Quite inconspicuous from the outside, there is a wonderful restaurant inside! Authentic Italian cuisine. Varied, everything is freshly prepared and it tastes great, no matter what you eat. The service is top, even when it's full to capacity, everything runs smoothly. The special flair is provided by the whole family, who put a lot of effort into everything. We enjoy eating here and have had lovely evenings.
This snack bar is a good place to sit. The food was delicious and plentiful. Particularly noteworthy is the very nice and attentive staff. It was very good.
Absolute recommendation – you feel like you’re on vacation here!
The Jamas impresses with its super friendly and attentive service, great ambience and beautiful furnishings. The food came quickly, was fresh and tasty – and the portions were more than generous. Particularly likeable: the ouzo flows freely and creates a great atmosphere! A great location for a relaxed evening with friends. I'll definitely come back
