This place is everything that one can want from a restaurant. Cozy and chic ambience, super friendly and caring staff, delicious food and reasonable prices. Food/price ratio is truly amazing. I visited this place last month, and came back with my parents who also enjoyed it a lot. I’m not sure if I should keep talking about this place or do gatekeeping so that it won’t be overcrowded🙈 Just kidding, they really deserve to have good reputation🤍
Just please don’t increase the prices in the future, so we can keep enjoying good food for reasonable price in Berlin🥲
The food is truly excellent—we especially recommend the beef noodles and the Chinese buns. The space is a bit small, so you might have to wait a bit when it's busy. It's best to reserve in advance and arrive before 7 p.m. to ensure a table. We'll be back!
To be honest, we were influenced by the proximity to our hotel and the reviews for Hot Bowl 76.
Because from the outside, it doesn't look that inviting. It's a "We're hungry, there's nothing nearby, let's go in."
But that assessment would be wrong!
Ambience
The design of the dining room is a continuation of the exterior impression. Reduced to the bare minimum. Tables and chairs, that's it.
The Service
Attentive and fast.
THE FOOD
And here comes the surprise. I really wouldn't have expected this kind of food there.
Here, too, everything works according to a modular system. You choose, for example, the red curry and then select the "topping": vegetarian, chicken, beef, or shrimp.
In our case, the vegetables were crisp, the meat not overcooked, and tasted impeccable.
The Drinks
Here comes the deduction in the A-grade!
As a Munich resident, I can't stand it when a restaurant only serves non-alcoholic beer. Sorry
CONCLUSION
In Munich, Hot Bowl 76 might be one of our favorites for takeout. Thank you.
Only my own spaghetti carbonara is better, but only because I spend a lot of money on a very special bacon. If I lived or worked in the area I would be there several times a week for lunch. It's rare to find such good food - and it's inexpensive too. Great!
4 years later (as always in between): 5 stars easily kept.
A hidden gem on the outskirts of Pankow. With a lovely terrace. You can even park your car right there. The menu features vegetarian delicacies. If you want meat, you'll have to order it separately (at a rather hefty surcharge). Better off sticking with plant-based fare. A glass of fine Pinot Gris is a fair €5.50 for 0.2 l. Reservations are easy (via email) - the phone isn't working right now. Payment by card is OK, but please have cash on hand for the tip for the friendly service crew.
Italian deli with seating and a lunch menu featuring homemade dishes.
The staff is super friendly and accommodating - absolutely great.
The food was very tasty. The freshly filled paninis are also amazing.
Will definitely come back and choose a delicious meal for lunch.
