In pleasant temperatures, a highlight for any guest who is at peace with themselves. The food: French fries with ketchup are delicious. Cake and hot chocolate are also delicious. Sausage salad: who can really see what's inside a sausage? "Adl is obligatory," whether that also applies to Adlwärth, I have no idea.
Located directly inside the Dorint Hotel
The burger was a disappointment at €18.50. It tasted of almost nothing. The sauce was like a ready-made burger sauce, and the meat and bun were dry.
The portion of fries came from a bag and wasn't worth €6.
I advise against ordering the burger.
The two employees were very friendly and accommodating; they can't be held responsible for the quality of the food.
Both pasta and burgers were delicious, the service was very friendly, and the value for money was good. Giu's Pastaria definitely deserves more attention :)
My visit to MARTHABRÄU was a very pleasant experience, characterized by traditional brewing craftsmanship, Bavarian flair, and warm hospitality. The cozy, rustic atmosphere is immediately apparent upon entering – a place perfectly suited for a convivial gathering with friends or a relaxed dinner.
The menu offered a diverse selection of classic Bavarian specialties. Particularly noteworthy were the hearty meat dishes such as pork knuckle and various sausages, accompanied by fresh side dishes and aromatic sauerkraut. The dumplings also impressed with their quality and flavor. The portions were generous and ensured a satisfying, authentic experience. Desserts like apple strudel or Kaiserschmarrn provided a sweet, traditional touch to finish.
The beverage selection was impressive, featuring freshly brewed beer from their own brewery, which impressed with its full-bodied flavor and high quality. A variety of beers – from light to dark – offered diversity and paired perfectly with the food.
The service was attentive, friendly, and efficient. The staff made sure we felt welcome and enjoyed our stay.
What impressed me most was the combination of craft beer, traditional cuisine, and genuine hospitality. A visit to MARTHABRÄU isn't just about food and drink; it's about experiencing Bavarian joie de vivre right in the heart of the city.
We had a reservation and were eight minutes late – the reserved table was taken. The "receptionist" informed us of this in a rather brusque tone. They were willing to set a new table for us, and we waited nine minutes (!) in the hallway.
The waitress at our table was friendly and quite attentive, which lifted our spirits somewhat.
The restaurant was quite busy and therefore noisy, but the food was good and tasty.
A very nice restaurant. We had a Christmas dinner there with about 50 ladies. The appetizer was very good, but the main course was supposed to be saltimbocca, though it wasn't recognizable as such. The meat was dry, the ham was stuck on, and there was no sage. The fish was overcooked and therefore dry. The dessert wasn't worth mentioning. A shame.
The vegetarian dish, beetroot dumplings on a bed of cabbage, was tasty.
The food was significantly better at the same event last year.
This has been the best Schnitzel I've ever tried! The size of the dish is about twice bigger than any other place in Munich. The amount of different types of Schnitzel would make you want to return and try them all. They also have beers (obviously) and other food items, like grilled fish and sauerkraut. Definitely put this place on your list if you are visiting Munich and want to try local and delicious food!
The roast pork with beer sauce was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it!
Overall, I have no complaints about this inn. Bavarians are just so different from the people I know in North Rhine-Westphalia (in a good way, though). The service was friendly and the staff had a great sense of humor.
As a fan of half-timbered buildings, I have absolutely no complaints about the building itself.
We ate inside, but the beer garden looked very inviting as well.
So, if you'd like to try some good Bavarian cuisine, I can wholeheartedly recommend this inn :)
A beautiful and cozy shop in the old town of Nuremberg. Beautiful decor, kind staff and relatively cheap for what we got. There is an issue with the water (generally in Germany from what I understand) but the overall picture was very satisfactory. If nothing else they have nice beers! We also met a compatriot greek waitress!HELLAS
