Little Italy in Ottobeuren

Das Ambiente ist gewöhnungsbedürftig, da es ein kleiner(little) Gastraum ist, wo in der Nähe die Pizza zubereitet wird. Mir kamen in dem Raum zuviel Klänge aufeinander, was mich sehr unruhig machte. Die Pizza war etwas dunkel aber gut, bisschen mehr Belag, aber okay. Der Salat war dürftig, für den Preis zu klein. Im ganzen noch knapp ein gut.

Gute Pizzen. Innerhalb 5 Minuten fertig. 1 Stern Abzug, da die Pizza Richtung Mitte nur noch blattdünn ist und etwas die Würze fehlt. Aber Boden sonst geschmacklich lecker und Zutaten auch top. Kommen schon wieder.

Beste Pizza, hervorragende Nudeln. Freundlicher Service. Immer wieder.

Wir waren mit drei Kindern da und waren sehr zufrieden! Richtig tolles Essen und so schnell serviert!

Ausgezeichnete Pizza, sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal/Inhaber. Eine Reservierung ist unbedingt empfehlenswert, da das Restaurant sehr beliebt ist. Tolle vegane Optionen (stellen Sie sich Ihre eigene Pizza auf Marinara-Sauce zusammen).

Sehr schönes kleines Lokal in der Nähe der Basilika. Reservieren am Wochenende würde ich empfehlen. Das Essen war lecker, wobei das Bruschetta aus meiner Sicht unverhältnismäßig teuer ist. Zwei Stücke Brot für 8€, hier vielleicht die Empfehlung, wenn man den Preis so hoch ansetzte dann vielleicht mit selbst gebackenen Pizzabrötchen das Bruschetta servieren. Der Käse auf der Pizza und Nudeln hatte wenig Geschmack. Der Pizzateig ist phänomenal. Alles in allem war es ein netter Abend, das Personal war herzlich und Kartenzahlung war kein Problem.

A place I wholeheartedly recommend! Giacomo, the owner, is a wonderful person: welcoming, kind, and truly capable of making you feel at home. The pizzas are exceptional (as a Neapolitan would say!): authentic flavor and top-quality ingredients. The small, well-kept restaurant has a family atmosphere that makes it perfect for both a quiet evening with family and a getaway with friends. Thanks to Giacomo and his team for making our evenings special and my family's stay in Bavaria even more wonderful!

I was in Memmingen with my family for my niece's baptism, which we also celebrated here, but we returned three more times during our stay. The owners were extremely kind and helpful, and the pizza chef was a master. We are originally from Naples, and the pizzas we ate at this charming little restaurant were excellent. The dough was soft and easy to digest, and the flavor was exceptional. Together with the cold beers and various drinks, they brightened up our evenings and our palates. I highly recommend this place; it truly feels like home! Thank you for everything, and congratulations!

Where do I begin... The staff is lovely, friendly, and accommodating. The amount of energy and love these people put into their restaurant customers is incredible. They even prepared a small pizza especially for our daughter. Which brings us to the next topic, the pizza: I've never had a better one in Germany, maybe once in Naples. I usually eat pasta at home, but I only go there to order pasta. On the last point: the prices are fantastic these days, and the quality is more than affordable. If you're in the area, you have to go there.

The food was truly outstanding! One of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. The other dishes were also fresh and delicious. The service was very friendly and efficient despite the busy crowds. Highly recommended!

Very authentic Italian cuisine, great products, a good selection of dishes, the pizza was delicious, and the service was very friendly. It felt a bit like a short stay in Italy, as Italian was spoken even within the pizzeria. The dessert and espresso were also excellent.

We sat outside, and I have to say it's a nice spot. The server was nice and very kid-friendly. We had pizza and pasta. My wife's pasta was "okay" but not outstanding. The pizza, on the other hand, was really, really good. You can tell the dough has been rising for a long time and is baked at a high temperature. Highly recommended. The price is absolutely fair—we would definitely come back.

War alles super! Vorspeise ein gemischter Teller, wir hatten alle vier eine Pizza, mit Mozzarella, waren alle wirklich lecker, eine Flache Weißwein (oder vielleicht auch zwei!)! Ich war ca. 30 mal dort und freue mich auf das nächste Jahr!

We found this little restaurant on our roadtrip. We took a walk 10-15 min from our hotel. It was fully booked, but we found a table inside. We had caprese, and bruschetta, then shared the best pizza we ever tasted! The food and service was very fast , good, and with lots of smiles and love in food and drinks, we really enjoyed it all. I tried Ramazzotti for the first time as a digestif. Loved it, and I wanted to buy the qute ramazotti-glass. Got them for free as a gift. Will buy a bottle of Ramazotti when back at home in Sweden and I will remember this restaurant with a big smile.❤️ Thank you from Sara and Ulf

My husband and I had dinner at this little restaurant in the heart of Ottobeuren. It was almost closing time, yet the owner was very friendly and willing to make us two pizzas and eat them there (and not because we were Italian like them). Great price, very honest and what can I say about the pizza... we haven't even eaten one like this in Italy!! Excellent pizza chef and super digestible dough. They had recommended the place to us but it far exceeded all expectations! Well done!

Very cozy pizzeria with delicious food. We were served very courteously and nicely (2 adults + 2 small children) The pizzas were excellent and authentically Italian. The fact that the edge was a bit dark didn't bother me at all - just a stone oven pizza. You can cut out what you don't like. Very inconspicuous from the outside, but highly recommended!

Food quick and good. Pizza edge a bit burnt, thin dough but tasty. Penne rabiatta a bit weak for my taste.

Well the pizzas in the preview looked good. Last night the edges were burnt black and therefore not edible. The atmosphere is uncomfortable because the pick-up orders are constantly arriving or... were picked up. No thanks

I ordered pizza here, what I got was a burnt and charred crust, that was so ugly. I know this can happen but you shouldn’t sell it if you make a mistake, you should make a new one for the customer. Your standards are too low. It shows that the restaurant doesn’t respect the customers at all.

The Little Italy is a "simple" restaurant in the best sense of the word: the atmosphere is simply cozy, the landlord is simply very friendly and personable and: the food is just good, no, even very, very good. The Genoese-style spaghetti with the sensational homemade pesto received six out of five stars from my Italophile wife and was polished down to the last noodle. And I would rank my seafood pizza - and that's saying something for a 67-year-old good eater - among the top 15 Frutti di Mare pizzas I've eaten outside of Italy. Brilliant dough, wonderful topping! What we would give if there were fewer celebrity Italians with average cuisine at overpriced prices and more "Little Italys" with top Italian home cooking in our Upper Bavarian homeland. But that will probably remain a dream in the Munich area. That's why: If you end up in Ottobeuren, you should definitely stop by Little Italy - thanks to the innkeeper, by the way, for the simply good limoncello... and the availability of space without any formal reservation.

First of all: Service was very good. We were served very quickly. The pizzas were large and delivered/served very quickly. The base was very thin, the edge was really crispy.

Haben uns eine Pizza bestellt, wenig Belag und nichts weltbewegendes. Ich weiß nicht was für ein Käse auf der Pizza war aber wir waren nicht begeistert. Würde dort keine Pizza mehr bestellen.

Our visit to Little Italy was ok. The waiter tried very hard to accommodate the high volume of visitors and was very friendly. However, unfortunately he was alone and so everything took a very long time. The food was very good if you go there just for the pizza. (We still had carpaccio, bruschetta and a salad) However, we would only visit the restaurant to “pick up food”.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal im Little Italy und bestimmt nicht zum letzen mal. Gutes Essen zu angenehmen Preisen mit einem super zuvorkommenden Service geht halt doch noch in Deutschland! Die Pizza war top, der Salat Schmackhaft. Der arme Kellner war ganz alleine und hat den Service mit einer tollen Hingabe und Freundlichkeit gerockt! Toll toll toll!

The restaurant was very full and we had to wait quite a long time. Since we were on vacation, that wasn't a problem. The food was great and the (only) waiter was responsible for inside and outside. But always remained friendly and very competent. It was a pleasure to watch him. Very cozy!

This place was recommended to me and was packed out on the night we arrived, we were told to come back in an hour and they would look after us. We were so glad that we did. The pizza in particular was amazing and the lasagna just as good. Really friendly and accommodating staff and super value for money.

Very friendly service. Lasagna tasted really good as well as the pizza. I would have preferred the bottom of the pizza a bit more toasted but it tasted really good. I love that they offer a seasonal pizza. Octopus calamari salad was also good despite that we are far away from the sea. The place has nice decor but it is not inviting for longer stay. Most important it was clean and tidy.

We were spontaneously in Ottobeuren at lunchtime today and were looking for something tasty to eat with our 3-year-old son. We found what we were looking for in Little Italy: The food was super tasty and the portions were absolutely filling. Plus the perfect price/performance ratio -> We'll definitely be back!

Unfamiliar city. Where are we going to eat? You usually can't go wrong with an Italian restaurant. But you can also experience a culinary sensation that is completely unexpected. I would have loved to have been there when the team sat together and thought about the creation of the Basilika pizza. Fireworks for the taste buds. A total work of art. Unfamiliar city. A lot of restaurants. Tonight again in Little Italy... I reserved a table that same evening. Bravo...bravissssimo

The pizza is really good and the price is fair. I can definitely recommend it. We will come back. The service is nice, that's how it has to be. Parking is further away and the ambience only gets 3 stars. The taste makes up for the ambience. There are still pizza makers who know their craft! :)

Best Italian in the area!! Small, cozy and absolutely authentic. The food is incredibly delicious and there are often special seasonal dishes that I have never found anywhere else. The artichoke salad as a starter is mega!!

I never expected to be able to eat one of the best pizzas outside of Italy in Ottobeuren in front of the Basilica...excellent dough...and excellent seasoning...rustic and basic place...but kind host and quick service. ..even baked pasta at the level of Italian taverns...excellent value for money.....if you want a good pizza (I'm from Campania) in a welcoming and informal environment and you're in the area. pop in.. .

Ich schätze die Pizzeria Little Italy wirklich für die stets fairen Preise. Ich kenne kein Restaurant, das seine Preise seit Corona so moderat angehoben hat. Daher gebe ich hier auch gern etwas mehr Trinkgeld als anderswo. Im Little Italy kann man wirklich sehr lecker und preiswert essen. Die Pizzen und Pasta sind hervorragend. Der Besitzer super sympathisch und immer freundlich. Ich komme immer wieder gern! :)

Es gibt doch noch ein paar Italiener, die ihr Handwerk verstehen! Die Pizza ist lecker! Dünner Boden, luftiger krosser Rand mit passender Menge an Belag! Es gibt saisonale Pizzabeläge sowie Spezialbeläge mit Zutaten aus Italien. Hier merkt man die Leidenschaft zur italienischen Küche! Welcher sich auch im Service zeigt. Preis-Leistung ist hier gegeben. Die Pizzen sind nicht überteuert.
