A very special place in Würzburg – with heart, soul, and character.
The owner and his son are two of the warmest people you can imagine: open, attentive, and simply likeable through and through.
You don't feel like a guest here, but rather like a welcome friend.
You rarely find such warmth and hospitality – a place to return, linger, and feel good.
The price/performance ratio is also totally fair (you won't find such prices anywhere else in Würzburg). I highly recommend the pasta.
Absolutely recommend it!
First of all: This was a delivery order, not a visit to the restaurant. The delivery arrived on time, and the food was still warm – unfortunately, that was the only really positive aspect. Therefore, I can't rate a visit in person.
Value for money:
For just under €70, we ordered several different dishes. At this price, we expected a corresponding quality and quantity. Unfortunately, this was not met in terms of taste or preparation. In our opinion, the value for money is not good.
Food in detail:
• Pizza bread: Undercooked in some places, making it doughy and unpleasant to bite into.
• Gyros: Barely seasoned to no extent. We completely missed the typical Greek flavor here.
• Fries: Arrived soggy. Since this happens frequently with deliveries, we'll leave it out of the overall review, but mention it for the sake of completeness. (These aren't visible in the photo either, as they were immediately placed in the air fryer to crisp up.)
• Meat in general: Dry throughout and lacking any discernible seasoning.
• Bifteki: Unfortunately, also very dry and therefore barely edible.
• Side salad: The term "salad" is an exaggeration. Instead of a classic Greek salad, there was a very small plate of raw vegetables. There was dressing, but it tasted almost nonexistent.
• Tzatziki: Very disappointing. It tasted almost exclusively of natural yogurt, with no garlic or cucumber seasoning at all. The price, at €5.90, was significantly overpriced. The bread served with it was unfortunately soggy.
• A positive point: The gyro baked with cheese and jalapeños was the only dish that was tasty.
Overall impression:
We had imagined a delicious Greek dinner, but unfortunately, we received food that was more reminiscent of cafeteria fare. Especially in a Greek restaurant, you expect robust spices, juicy meat, fresh salads, and good value for money. Unfortunately, we didn't find any of that here.
Conclusion:
Even though the delivery and temperature of the food were perfect, the quality in no way justifies the price. There are many Greek restaurants in the area that offer significantly better taste and quality. It's a shame; we would have been happy to be pleasantly surprised here.
We were here on vacation and found this restaurant via Google. Good sushi, really good summer rolls, and spring rolls. Really great value for money :))
The fish & chips are delicious, especially the Mainfisch and catfish. The Meefischli (sea fish) were also delicious. The portions are large and definitely filling! The atmosphere on a boat on the water is very relaxed!
Everything we ate was simply amazing. Both the appetizers and the main course were perfectly seasoned.
The service was also very friendly, and our children felt very comfortable.
The service was a 10 out of 10: attentive, friendly, and courteous, something I've rarely experienced in Munich! Beautiful location; I would describe/recommend it more as a bar than a restaurant.
Unfortunately, I really didn't have much luck with my shoulder of pork order today. When I picked it up, I noticed that it didn't look very appetizing. Unfortunately, the taste was terrible—extremely overseasoned—and the meat smelled unpleasant. Very disappointing.
We stopped here because of the high rating. Unfortunately, we didn't like it that much. I think the Nordpol is a nice, typically Greek neighborhood taverna. However, I was annoyed that my weekly gyro with calamari didn't come with enough rice and tzatziki, in my opinion. I don't understand why some places skimp on the rice and tzatziki. I enjoyed the calamari, but I found the gyros to be average at best. My companion didn't like her bifteki in Metaxa sauce. Therefore, I'm only giving it three very favorable stars.
You don't have to be an FC Bayern fan to come here - extremely friendly service, immaculately clean toilets and the whole atmosphere... just great and for every budget..!!!!

Unfortunately, the restaurant is no longer operating! It's a shame! I can't say whether the catering will continue.
