Very tasty, authentic food. The staff is very friendly and always attentive. Highly recommended. When the restaurant is full, it is a bit noisy.

The lunch menu is great, but on weekend evenings it often gets loud in the restaurant because it is only one room. But the food is great every time!

The food is generally good but prices are too high. Especially the drinks are fully overpriced! €6,50 for a water with lots of ice and a bit of juice!! After asking for just a little surprise at our kids birthday they said: I can give you a candle if you order something.. We had already ordered a lot (massive platter of sushi and lots of other things). Come on guys, get a grip! You don't even have a tiny surprise for a kid?? Service is not very good but overall the best place to go in the area. Doesn't speak for other places though.

Why only 4 stars? The high number of people speaks for the popularity of the place; for me it was too loud, too crowded, too narrow - which made conversation difficult. The ambience is modern, but quite dark (gray). I think the drinks prices are excessive. The quality of the food was very good, although the noodle bowl was a touch too spicy and salty for my liking. The service is mixed and friendly - but sometimes with communication difficulties. Paying ended up taking 3x longer than serving the food.

Nice looking restaurant. We had mixed sushi from the menu. Taste was in total ok. There was one roll that was not well-balanced. It was too dry because of the fried salmon skin. For this price category I had better sushi, that is why I can only give 3,5 stars. Furthermore, it is surprisingly „unfair“ that the vegetarian rolls do not make a difference in price. How can this be? Indoor design very nice. The noise level inside was very high. So it was hard to have a good conversation.

The food was very good, but the price was slightly above average. You can sit outside and it's nicely decorated inside. However, the service is unfortunately catastrophic and clumsy. I wanted to swap salmon for tuna on a sushi platter and also pay the price difference. But this was categorically rejected and no consideration was given to asking the chefs politely. The lady reacted extremely unprofessionally and rudely. Although the food was good, we will not recommend this restaurant and will definitely not visit again.

We've been there several times because the food is really good. Everything is fresh, aromatic and beautifully presented. The staff is friendly. The only thing that bothers us there is the pretty loud, annoying pop music. It doesn't fit the ambience and makes it difficult to have a conversation.

I don't think it's okay to charge €7.9 for the spritz and then only fill the glass with 0.2 liters. Nevertheless, the price-performance ratio was good and we can only recommend it. Very nice service and cool ordering system via tablet. Works great. Nice atmosphere, don't be irritated by the gestures in the 70s exposed concrete look. The food is ok, rather average. What is not possible is steamed (?) edamame straight from the fridge (or thawed?). I definitely expect freshly steamed food in a Japanese restaurant, it should be easy to do. Therefore only 3 stars.

Today I was at Sakai with my girlfriend for the first time - definitely not the last time!!! Our meal was outstanding; Not only in terms of taste, but also the presentation is really very appealing. Here attention is paid to creative details. That is fun. The staff are very friendly and attentive. There are so many delights to explore on the map. We decided to try these out soon. Just order 2 scoops of ice cream for dessert... it's worth it... I haven't had any ice cream presented for dessert yet.

Unfortunately, even with larger groups, the time cannot exceed 2 hours. It was offered to pay another 40 euros per person if you wanted to sit longer.

Oh well. was once there. But you don't have to go there again. Definite criticism is rejected by Google, so only this short form. Apparently, contributions from unwanted reviewers will no longer be accepted. I don't know whether Google is making a mistake here or whether the restaurant is helping Even a 100% positive review (see picture) will not be published. (but don't take them seriously!)

Wow... I haven't seen such a beautiful restaurant in a long time, the walls are beautifully designed, everything fits together. The food tastes very good and is served really nicely. The staff is super friendly and helpful. My recommendation: if you want to eat good and high quality then this is the right place.☺️

So in my opinion overrated. A soup (Sup Tom Chua Cay) that can be made very cheaply from a ready-made paste, Offering it for almost €10 is quite brave. I had this paste at home and threw it away because it was extremely salty. My duck dish (Vit Chua Ngot) wasn't much better. Thin slices of duck were almost drowned in a lot of tamarind sauce, there is no taste sensation. My wife's bit of fried monkfish was coated in batter and rock hard, for whatever reason, you should have healthy teeth... Anyone who has ever been to Asia would agree that it tastes better in almost every food stall, and I don't even want to talk about the price. The presentation should be noted positively; visually, unfortunately, more is promised here than you get in my opinion. Unfortunately, a steaming volcano at the table does not make good cuisine.

It used to be Wild Lotus and had the best sushi. After the renovation it looks chic but the quality of the food is no longer the same.

Was there for lunch at short notice with a friend and was thrilled with the selection of lunch dishes. It tasted very good and the prices are really fair.

1 star for the decoration, very loud, service is very condescending and unfriendly, the tone is accusatory. If you want to draw attention to yourself you have to go to the employees in person, attention is zero. There are much better restaurants in Ottobrunn and Munich, save yourself the visit here.

We were there for lunch with a limited menu. Highly recommended! The sushi was excellent, the other dishes were also perfect and, above all, fresh. Located directly on the S-Bahn and also parking spaces in the area. Not cheap, but worth it.

The food is really delicious! The cocktails consist more of ice cubes... The restaurant is nicely decorated, but the seating is far too tight and the noise level is extremely high. Unfortunately I can't report a pleasant evening. When you arrive you are massively informed that the reservation is only valid for 1.5 hours, this should be announced in advance. Then we certainly wouldn't have gone there. We will definitely not go to this restaurant again.

We had a very tasty and lovely Asian meal at Sakai. Everything was prepared with fresh herbs, seasoned in a typically Asian interesting way, not spicy, but very tasty: as starters we had summer rolls with a very tasty sauce, marinated spare ribs and breaded octopus. For the main course there was a very excellent rice noodle bowl with all kinds of vegetables and shrimps and another dish with caramelized chicken with dried chilies (not too spicy, very balanced). The service was attentive and very friendly. The only minor downside is that it is a little noisy when the restaurant is full, like ours. All in all, it was a wonderful restaurant experience and we definitely won't be at Sakai for the last time. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

While looking for a Vietnamese restaurant that was open longer during the week, we came across Sakai. The good reviews and the pictures convinced us and so we went there last night. A really nice atmosphere awaited us. In the entrance area on the left there are some tables with chairs/benches and if you go up a few steps there are more seats and the bar. If the weather is good you can also sit outside. The map is a very comfortable size. Starters, soups, dim sum, sushi, various main courses and a few desserts can be found here. The five of us ate our way through the menu and were thrilled with every dish. Of course, above all in terms of taste, but the presentation is also great. DimSum variations (all homemade by the way), La Lot (Bo La Lot, beef wrapped in betel leaves), Pho Bo (flat rice noodle soup with beef), Sup Ga Nuoc Dua (similar to Tom Kha Gai - soup with chicken and coconut milk), duck with Peanut sauce, chicken with red curry, Bun Vit (rice noodle bowl with salad, herbs, fish sauce and crispy duck) and Rainbowl (sushi roll that is very ingeniously served with dry ice smoke). In terms of price, we are in the upper range. Quality, ambience, very good service and taste made us forget that a bit. But one thing is certain: we will definitely go back. There are still a few dishes on the menu that we would like to try.

The food is really excellent! Unfortunately, it must be mentioned that negative reviews that primarily concern the location will be deleted! Basically, this is a nice location. However, almost every free centimeter is used in the restaurant, which makes everything very cozy. Nevertheless, it was so cold in winter that you were sometimes allowed to enjoy the food in the restaurant wearing a winter jacket. I therefore recommend a visit in summer.

A highlight in this corner of Munich/surrounding area. The sushi is very fresh, exceptionally combined and also with special, rare ingredients. The names make you curious. If you prefer curry - this is also very fine with a variety of vegetables that are above the standard. It is prepared, served and prepared with a lot of love and you can see the joy in the eyes of the customers. The ambience is modern, stylish and comfortably lit. Definitely suitable for a romantic evening. Reservations are strongly recommended.

My daughter and I spontaneously decided to eat at Sakai with a reservation because we liked the ambience on the website. The food was lovingly prepared, very fresh and extremely tasty. The restaurant is a pleasant size and tastefully decorated. The service was attentive and friendly. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back. A restaurant has a large selection of fresh and beautifully presented dishes, also a must for sushi lovers. People like to eat there.

The food is very fine and tasty, portions are sufficient, the ambience has recently been stylishly renovated. Unfortunately, the Sakai Hugo tastes totally watery, for €7.9.. and the sushi bowl advertised on Instagram wasn't available in the evening (even though we specifically asked in advance!!). But what really isn't possible is moving guests who are already seated!!! We had asked for a table downstairs because it was a little quieter there, but after we had been sitting for a while we were moved upstairs, where it was very narrow, loud, crowded, hot and dark. When we immediately asked to go back down because there was another table available for two, there was simply no response until the table was taken. This is not how you treat your guests in a restaurant that wants to give the appearance of style and class and sets prices rather high (€17.9 for tofu curry!), especially not on Valentine's Day!! The staff seemed totally overwhelmed. The sauce for the bun bowl was spilled when it was served, after the meal they wanted to wipe the table that had not yet been cleared, credit card payment was not possible. We were really looking forward to the evening and arrived in such a good mood. We currently don't know whether we'll give Sakai another chance, even though we live nearby.

It was my first time in this restaurant and can I just say that the boss is extremely unfriendly and can take an example from her friendly staff, especially the very courteous and very friendly gentleman serving. That's why I certainly can't recommend the restaurant, even to my customers in Ottobrunn.

Nice restaurant, food tastes very good but customer service is subpar. Denying the customer a glass of tap water and pointing out a bottle of table water for €10 is very bold. Either way, the final bill was over €100 for three people, so you could have served a glass of tap water (you could also have been talking about €1 for that).

The food was very good, especially the truffles roll. The restaurant itself is OK, not too fancy. You can't pay with credit card only Giro...

Very nice atmosphere, tasteful and not intrusive. The employees are all in a good mood and have their guests in mind. The map is large and diverse. The drinks menu is also well-stocked, from aperitifs to cocktails, soft drinks, juices, homemade lemonade, etc. For example, we had the salmon tartare on avocado, very nicely prepared and wonderful in taste. Then three types of spring rolls, a nice portion for a starter and also very tasty. Then papaya salad, dumpling with crispy duck and chicken curry and curry with salmon. Everything is presented in very nice dishes and very delicious. At the next table there was a large sushi plate that looked like a painting, a dream and the two guests really enjoyed it. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is right, the quality is top and the portions are reasonable. And quality has its price. We had a very nice evening and will come back.

NEVER AGAIN !!! We were just there. In the upper left back corner there were three free tables, two 2-seater and one 4-seater table. We sat down at the middle table for two right next to another couple of guests. The other two tables were completely free. The waitress came and shouted at us without greeting, that wasn't possible. We would block three (!!!) tables. We didn't even understand what she meant. But she didn't stop and continued to pimp us. We haven't changed anything about the position of the table, but it's noticeable that the seating is very close, but there's nothing we can do about that. Anyway, maybe you could have slid a little if necessary, but this person wasn't interested in that at all. She moaned at us until we got up and left. I can't remember being spoken to so rudely and sloppily in a restaurant in decades. We were regular customers under the previous owners and knew half the family history. But these “hosts” will NEVER see us AGAIN.

Ein tolles Konzept mit außerordentlich guten Gerichten! Wir haben hier vor Ort gegessen aber auch schon Speisen zum Mitnehmen gehabt. Der Preis mag etwas höher sein aber dafür sind die Gerichte ausgesprochen gut. Die Gerichte zum Mitnehmen bekommt man hier in Pappeverpackung, was sehr angenehm ist. Vor Ort ist der Servicepersonal sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Ambiente wirkt gehoben und sogar Steckdosen unter den Sitzen sind zu finden. Die Sushi Platten vor Ort sind ein besonderes Highlight. Wir haben aber auch andere Sachen probiert und wurden noch nie enttäuscht. Das Sakai Asia ist eine absolute Empfehlung.

Das Essen im Sakai Asian Fusion ist wirklich extrem gut. Die Preise sind etwas teurer aber angemessen. Das Restaurant ist eher klein, die Tische stehen eng aneinander und da es auch unter der Woche komplett ausgebucht war als wir da waren empfehle ich auf jeden Fall eine Reservierung. Da es so voll ist, war es auch absolut verständlich, dass der Service hin und wieder einmal etwas länger gedauert hat - aber wir wurden nie vergessen. Wer auf Fusions Küche steht kommt hier voll auf seine Kosten und auch die Einrichtung ist stilfvoll und liebevoll gestaltet.
