Sakai Asian Fusion in Ottobrunn

Every visit is simply amazing. Amazing food and amazing service. I love it.

We were there for dinner, and I have to say, I've never tasted such fantastic Asian cuisine. We had three kinds of spring rolls and the baked octopus for starters, both of which were divine, but then came the main course, what can I say... it was amazing both visually and tastefully, and the highlight was dry ice, what more could you want? For dessert, there was a matcha green tea tiramisu. I was skeptical, as I don't usually like matcha, but this proved me wrong. A clear 5/5 stars. And the staff were always attentive and friendly.

Very good food; we went there for sushi. We really enjoyed it, and the platters were plentiful. The appetizers and desserts were also very good. The service was very attentive. The restaurant is relatively small, so reservations are recommended. All in all, it was great. We'd love to come back to try more dishes.

First of all, I liked that the restaurant's name says "Asian fusion." I hate Thai, Chinese, etc. restaurants that also serve sushi—I can't take that seriously. If it's Chinese, then it's Chinese, and not riding the "sushi is popular, we have it too" wave. That's not the case here, and that's wonderful!! The service is excellent, very attentive and friendly. The food is in no way inferior to the service, and the little show effects contribute to making it an experience. The prices are still reasonable and not too exorbitant. The ambiance loses a point because you sit very close to your neighbors, and even if you try not to, you can hear every conversation... Nevertheless, the restaurant is stylish and beautifully decorated, creating a pleasant atmosphere. Conclusion: A great restaurant for special occasions

Simply fantastic! The sushi was absolutely fresh, lovingly prepared, and tasted top-notch. You can immediately tell that the work here is done with passion and quality. The service is a slight drawback: Sometimes it takes a long time for drinks or orders to arrive, which requires a bit of patience. Still, for me, it's the best sushi in the area!

A very nice restaurant, super delicious food, and, most importantly, very friendly staff (very attentive, you're never left high and dry). This is our second time there and we'll be back again. I highly recommend it!

This was our first time at the restaurant, but we'll definitely be back again and again :) The food was beautiful and incredibly delicious, and the cocktail was just as delicious. We were very pleased with the service as well; the waiters and waitresses were very friendly and quick.

The only thing that doesn't deserve 5 stars is the somewhat loud acoustics, but that's okay... But the service, the food, and the ambiance are really great. The price-performance ratio is definitely reasonable.

Sakai is definitely one of my new favorite restaurants! The Asian fusion cuisine is incredibly creative and every dish was a small taste experience. I was particularly impressed by the cocktails – super tasty and perfectly balanced. The staff is really friendly and gave us great recommendations that exactly suited our taste. All in all a wonderful evening – I’ll definitely be back!

**Excellent sushi experience!** I recently visited the sushi restaurant and absolutely loved it! As soon as you enter the restaurant you are greeted by the modern, yet cozy atmosphere. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive without being intrusive - you immediately feel welcome. The selection of sushi is simply fantastic. All dishes are freshly prepared and you can immediately tell that only high-quality ingredients are used. I was particularly impressed by the variety of creative rolls and the excellent presentation of the plates - a true work of art 😀 I highly recommend Sakai. It is the perfect place for sushi lovers who value quality, innovation and first-class service. I'll definitely be back!

We went to this restaurant for lunch with 5 people. Unfortunately, the crispy duck pieces were very, very hard on the edges, so they weren't freshly prepared. Unfortunately the noodles didn't taste good either. The sushi was very good and tasted good. The drinks were good, unfortunately just very cold. In the women's toilet, a toilet seat is completely loose. If an older guest sits on it, as in our case, it can be dangerous.

Only bookable for 1.5 hours. Fast check-in instead of a cozy evening. Pay immediately after your meal without dessert because others are already waiting without having finished drinking. Very unfortunate. We don't go there anymore.

Service was one my worst experiences in Munich. We had a reservation for 6:30 pm, however due to a terrible traffic jam due to an accident on the road, we carried only at 6:45 pm, we were reduced to a table even though we saw there were many empty tables. They said we were late and just did or obliged. The waitress was extremely rude and unprofessional. As an Asian tourist this kind of rude behaviour in a restaurant was never heard off.

Unfortunately, I'm no longer convinced by the quality of the sushi. Savings measures have reduced enjoyment. Service and ambience remain good.

Very nice evening with good food

The ambience is very nice, but unfortunately the food wasn't good. The wonton soup was far too salty, the spring rolls only tasted like frying fat and the duck with curry had meat that was hard to chew and the sauce tasted strongly of sugar. I can't say anything about the sushi, but our experience wasn't good. There are better restaurants in the area.

Absolutely delicious, we highly recommend the ribs! Great service, very attentive and fast. Also very nicely decorated and a great atmosphere. A bit on the pricier side, but definitely worth it! 10/10

Hallo, This restaurant was recommended by my neighbours. And they were quite right. It was a very good lunch. My friend and I ate specials sushi (Rainbow and truffles) and desserts (Chocolate soufflé and Matcha Tiramisu), the food was presented with a nice decorative display too. The service was good too. Unfortunately I have to correct my rating. Today, despite a reservation, we were only assigned a table for one hour, and there was no accommodation for an extension. Not even room at the bar. They probably don't need it anymore. Too bad. Loved being here. Won't come anymore. So far very friendly service, great ambience, stylish and elegant, food is beautifully prepared and tastes very tasty. Had sushi platter for 2, recommended.

The best sushi I've eaten lately!!

We have eaten here several times and each time we ordered different dishes. And every time we were pleasantly surprised. Good quality of products, great taste and very well prepared. When asked, we even received a menu that wasn't even on the menu. This is real service!!! Unfortunately, when the place is full it gets quite loud. That's my only criticism, but it's easily overcome by the good food and great service.

This place is very nice but the I feel that the portions were very small and quite expensive for sizes.

Outrageous. Overpriced. I only ordered 6 sushi. 24 pieces of sushi came because I supposedly misunderstood even though I only ordered 6 pieces. In addition, the waitress doesn't speak German. They don't even have prices on the menu and it clearly says 6 pieces and which types. I say clearly RIP-OFF. It's logical that two people can't eat that much with the main menu. The reaction was unprofessional and didactic. In addition, the food came very late and was “only” usually refined with some chips. The soup tasted like perfume - very strange. With what I had to pay I could have gone to a good, nice Asian restaurant in Munich 3-4 times.

Expensive restaurant, but good for some occasions! Food is good, staff is friendly. Parking is street parking which is sometimes hassle. One star lesser than 4 is due to price!

Food top Service very attentive Ambience great Recommended at any time

The food was delicious, we had chicken with crispy breading and soy sauce. Unfortunately there was almost no sauce available and so we ordered some more sauce. After we had almost finished eating, the sauce was brought to us after a quarter of an hour. Unfortunately, we were charged 3 EUR for this on the invoice. Our wine spritzer 0.2, in which we missed the wine, was also charged at EUR 7.90. In our opinion, this price-performance ratio is not correct. We will no longer visit the restaurant because there are other Vietnamese restaurants in the surrounding area with better price-performance ratios

Four of us visited the Sakai Asian Fusion in Ottobrunn and were thrilled! The sushi creations were fresh and delicious, as was the perfectly cooked duck and tender chicken. We were particularly impressed by the tasty soup, which was a great start to the menu. The modern ambience and the attentive service rounded off the evening. A wonderful place for fans of Asian cuisine – highly recommended!

Price-performance is underground. A mineral water bottle (0.75L) costs 7.50 euros. Food was average and definitely not fair to the price. Service was mediocre, a meal was brought incorrectly and when the actual dish was brought, the meat was undercooked. The atmosphere is quite nice. Because of the price-performance ratio we won't go there again.

We have become regular customers at Sakai, cozy atmosphere, great food, service super friendly and patient... we always like to come to Sakai... very tasty sushi.. taste experience on the tongue.. highly recommended!!!

The food is always delicious. Waiters also very quick and friendly. Will come more often 3.12. 2024 Unfortunately I have to revise my rating. Were there after a long lunch. The two ladies were very rude and arrogant. Apparently they were on a high. Unfortunately, the quality and taste have deteriorated significantly. You get the impression that the guest has become a nuisance because that's how you are served. It's a shame but we won't be coming anymore. I'd rather spend my money differently

We tried everything from the menu including soup, dumplings, sushi, fried octopus, various main dishes and matcha tiramisu and everything tasted convincing. All dishes are really perfectly prepared and perfectly coordinated. The service is also very courteous. Definitely a recommendation!

The food is generally good but prices are too high. Especially the drinks are fully overpriced! €6,50 for a water with lots of ice and a bit of juice!! After asking for just a little surprise at our kids birthday they said: I can give you a candle if you order something.. We had already ordered a lot (massive platter of sushi and lots of other things). Come on guys, get a grip! You don't even have a tiny surprise for a kid?? Service is not very good but overall the best place to go in the area. Doesn't speak for other places though.

Why only 4 stars? The high number of people speaks for the popularity of the place; for me it was too loud, too crowded, too narrow - which made conversation difficult. The ambience is modern, but quite dark (gray). I think the drinks prices are excessive. The quality of the food was very good, although the noodle bowl was a touch too spicy and salty for my liking. The service is mixed and friendly - but sometimes with communication difficulties. Paying ended up taking 3x longer than serving the food.

Nice looking restaurant. We had mixed sushi from the menu. Taste was in total ok. There was one roll that was not well-balanced. It was too dry because of the fried salmon skin. For this price category I had better sushi, that is why I can only give 3,5 stars. Furthermore, it is surprisingly „unfair“ that the vegetarian rolls do not make a difference in price. How can this be? Indoor design very nice. The noise level inside was very high. So it was hard to have a good conversation.

I wanted to swap salmon for tuna on a sushi platter and also pay the price difference. But this was categorically rejected and no consideration was given to asking the chefs politely. The lady reacted extremely unprofessionally and rudely. Although the food was good, we will not recommend this restaurant and will definitely not visit again.

We've been there several times because the food is really good. Everything is fresh, aromatic and beautifully presented. The staff is friendly. The only thing that bothers us there is the pretty loud, annoying pop music. It doesn't fit the ambience and makes it difficult to have a conversation.
