Schanzen Stüble in Oberstdorf

Very unfriendly towards strangers. I wasn't allowed to park in one place, even though it was legal. They tried to tell me some nonsense while acting very friendly. It's a disgrace!

We decided at short notice to order dessert after reading the menu outside. (We actually didn't want to eat at all.) We opted for yeast dumplings, Kaiserschmarrn, and Aperol Spritz and Strawberry Spritz. Everything was delicious, very tasty. The service was very friendly, and it was very cozy outside. We'd be happy to come back and order a main course.

Whenever we're in Oberstdorf, we always visit the Schanzenstüble. We were thrilled this time, too. The salad with mountain cheese is very good, as is the spit roast. We'd be happy to go back next time. Old Post 2 I was at the Schanzenstüble again. I really enjoyed it again. I'd be happy to go again. Old Post 1 A great restaurant right below the ski jump. Good, home-style food. Huge portions and delicious, for those who like that kind of food, and for a reasonable price. The owners are super nice. We felt really welcome. We'd be happy to go back.

Good home cooking, friendly staff, good value for money

Unfriendly landlord refuses to let paying customers (a family with children) in during a thunderstorm. Everything was free.

A very small, very cozy, very great, and very delicious restaurant/parlor. Reservations are a good idea, as it's only a few seats. The staff and chef are very friendly, and no request is denied. We'll go back anytime, and not just once.

A small, lovingly run restaurant below the Nebelhornbahn cable car. You can sit outside or inside. Due to the very changeable weather this year, we were able to try both. We ate there twice; the schnitzels are freshly pounded in the kitchen. The prices and quantity are great. The owner is happy to take the time for a quick chat.

Arriving today, we thought we'd check out the ski jumps first and then have a nice meal. We found this restaurant on Google, and since the reviews were so good, we stopped in. It was so delicious, the service was super friendly, and even the chef asked how we were. The prices are absolutely reasonable, and the ambiance is super nice. This won't be the last time we've been there during our vacation 🤗 Update: Today: Sunday, July 27th. We were here again because it's just so incredibly delicious. And we promptly booked another table for Friday... then there will be new photos.

Great value for money for the region, the schnitzel is pounded, was tasty and plentiful, friendly service, easy reservation, small dining room, beer garden expands the seating area in summer, in the beer garden you would have to lend a hand with the weeds on the pavement and the flower boxes

So far okay. Reservations can be made quickly by telephone. However, it was suggested that the restaurant was busy, which later turned out to be the opposite. Service was very friendly and accommodating. The food was good, but could use a little more freshness and nicer presentation, hence only three stars. Price performance okay. The ambience is simple. Restaurant is within walking distance. Parking at the restaurant is possible.

We came across the Schanzen Stüberl by chance (unfortunately just before we left). The welcome from the boss was very warm and we immediately felt completely at home. The furnishings inside are not necessarily up to date, but they are clean and not uncomfortable. The outside area is very nicely designed. But now to the most important thing. The food selection is appealing, including Bavarian dishes. We had the Bergsteiger Schnitzel and Cordon Bleu. Both very large portions, but also excellent in terms of taste. No pressed-together schnitzel meat, but really tasty butcher quality and at an excellent price-performance ratio. We really enjoyed it and will definitely be visiting here more often next year. We clearly recommend stopping off

It's all delicious and at a price that I find hard to believe is profitable for them. The man who runs the place does not speak English, but it has been very easy to understand him. I was looking for an authentic restaurant in the area and without a doubt, I was right.

We had a nice stay, the food was very tasty, I had the Jägerschnitzel. The reason I deducted a star is because the spaetzle wasn't homemade like it said on the menu.

With the house's recommendation, I ordered the Jägerschnitzel here. The schnitzel itself had a very good thickness but was perfectly cooked and very tender! Full 5 stars for the schnitzel!!! There was also a creamy hunter's sauce (not very dark, but mixed light and dark) with fresh mushrooms (5 stars). There was also spaetzle (not egg spaetzle (grated) but the longer form, if necessary pressed and tossed through the pan with butter (a bit too dry for me personally but the amount of mushroom sauce made up for it 3 stars) but only 3 stars overall, Since the salad garnish was very dry and sparse and the salad dressing was very tasteless, there was still room for improvement. It seemed as if all the love had been put into the schnitzel from the description "Jägerschnitzel" and the side dishes were "thrown" into it Absolutely recommended. The side dishes (including the spaetzle are home-made and something different is also fine). Very, very friendly staff and a nice, clean and small atmosphere 5 stars each. Overall 4 stars

I had the hunter's roast. The roast was very tender, with the hunter's sauce you could see that it was made from light and dark sauce, the mushrooms were not spared and the overall portion was very satisfying. Afterwards there was a delicious, mild apricot schnapps on the house. The host and the waitress were very relaxed and there was one or two friendly jokes. There isn't really much space inside, so it might make sense to call or, ideally, make a reservation in advance, but it would also be worth waiting for a seat. Overall, definitely high praise!

Nice little restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The food was very tasty. The senior manager was very friendly and accommodating. I forgot my baseball cap there on the last day of vacation. I noticed it at home. The next day I called and asked if I had left it there. That's how it was. I gave my address and within a few days I had it at home. Thank you very much for that. I will definitely visit the Schanzenstüble again the next time I visit Oberstdorf.

The food is highly recommended, price/performance is definitely unsurpassed. Extremely friendly and attentive service, there's absolutely nothing to complain about here. The restaurant is not big, but leaves nothing to be desired. Very quiet at lunchtime, almost an insider tip and a great alternative to the city center. The outdoor area is also very comfortable. We stayed at the Schanzen Stüble with our son for 4 years. Didn't have a reservation and wanted to sit inside. We told the older gentleman that. He gave us a place on the terrace. When we were told that we would like to sit inside... "Then just go in". We ordered spaetzle with fried onions for our son. He has no cheese! We didn't order either! I ordered the Swiss schnitzel without ham. Eyes rolled, “that’s not Swiss then!” He then walked away from us scolding us. I called after him that we could go somewhere else. I think the chef heard that and said something to him... At least there were gummy bears on the spaetzle. He even asked if it tasted good. No card payment possible!

Nach guten Bewertungen erstmals ausprobiert. Leider sehr enttäuschend. Aufgrund kleinem Appetit wurde ein gemischter Salatteller mit Röstis gewählt. Auf einem großen Teller befand sich auf einer Hälfte Salatgurke und auf der anderen Seite Eisbergsalat, Tomaten, geraspelte Möhren und Radi. Ausserdem 3 kleine Rösti. Die Salatsosse wurde seperat gereicht. Das zu einem Preis von rund 15,00 Euro. Das als Salatplatte anzubieten empfand ich als unverschämt. Ich hätte mir deutlich mehr Kreativität gewünscht.

Dieses Restaurant wird von zwei älteren Männern betrieben. Hut ab, wie flott die Jungs einen bedienen, da kann sich die jüngere Generation eine Scheibe von abschneiden. Bei einer Wanderung habe ich diese Lokalität per Zufall entdeckt und dann für heute (letzter Urlaubstag) einen Tisch reservieren lassen. Preis/Leistungsverhältnis top. Ich hatte das Schnitzel mit frischen Pfifferlingen, mir hat es geschmeckt. Das Fleisch schön saftig,Pommes wie sie sein sollten. Kleine Abstriche bei der Rahmsoße,war das eine Fertigsoße? Ansonsten zu empfehlen. Bleibt so wie ihr seid. Servus bis nächstes Jahr

Wir haben das Schanzenstüble, bei unserer Wanderung durch den Faltenbachtobel entdeckt und getestet. Das Servive-Personal war sehr nett und freundlich. Das Essen wurde frisch zubereitet und war mega lecker! Super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältniss, gerne wieder!

Schönes kleines Restaurant mit super netter Bedienung, hier fühlt man sich als Gast willkommen. Der Zwiebelrostbraten war der Beste seit langem, ohne Fett oder Sehnen und super zart. Wir waren alle begeistert, auch die Preise sind vernünftig und bezahlbar. Top Empfehlung!

Gleich am ersten Urlaubstag haben wir hier bei leckerem Essen den Abend ausklingen lassen. Da wir nicht reserviert hatten - was man auf jeden Fall tun sollte - wurden wir kurzerhand zu einem ortsansässigen Pärchen an den Tisch gesetzt und es war wirklich lustig und ein paar Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt haben wir noch dazu bekommen. Das Essen war schnell auf dem Tisch, frisch und heiß! Mit den Betreibern sind wir schnell ins Gespräch gekommen (lustige Herren) und waren dann noch 2 mal hier weil es uns so gut gefallen hat.

Currywurst mit Pommes war ok. Wurst hätte leider heißer und knuspriger sein dürfen. Schien mir auch aufgewärmt. Pommes waren frisch und lecker. Für den großen Hunger auf jeden Fall ausreichend. Und für den Preis auch gut.
