Beautiful and comfortable interior.
Its covered terrace is inspired by the Cyclades.
One can also make a reservation by phone.
The food was filling and excellent.
I highly recommend it to anyone in the wider area.
We were here for the Sunday buffet, which is definitely worth a visit for anyone who appreciates traditional food. The venison was delicious with its sauce. Unfortunately, the salad only came with a ready-made dressing. It would have been nice if there were, for example, two types of oil and two types of vinegar, as well as salt and pepper, so you could mix your own dressing. I also missed a warm vegetable side dish, such as grilled vegetables. Another vegetarian dish, such as vegetable lasagna, wouldn't have hurt either.
The service was very attentive and friendly, and the ambiance was bright and friendly thanks to the large windows.
Unfortunately, I cannot understand the large number of very good recessions.
Unfortunately there is no menu here, just handwritten boards in Italian. You then have to know what noodle looks like and what is hidden in which sauce. There isn't much more than pasta in various versions.
We then waited almost an hour for our dishes, even though only one other table was occupied.
Half of the food we ordered was excellent, the other half was average at best.
But for €14.50 per plate of pasta you shouldn't expect to be full. The portions are rather manageable.
The glass of wine (0.1 l!) cost €4.50. This was surprising because there is no card showing the prices.
Apart from the music being a bit too loud, which made it difficult to have a conversation, it was quite pleasant to sit in this restaurant.
A recommendation? Not so much from me.
Unfortunately, Italian radio is playing in the restaurant all the time. This made it really loud in the entire restaurant. Food was okay, there was a lot of garlic on every meal and the waitress always acted like she was annoyed.
The food is excellent, the beer and other drinks as well, the desserts are great, I like the pancakes with ice cream the most, the staff is friendly, professional and fast.
I love the Bavarian economy on Sundays, very cozy with a view of the sports field. The food is very tasty, I could recommend all the dishes (schnitzel, cheese spaetzle,…) but my favorite is the goat cheese salad. But I would make a reservation as it is quite busy on Sunday.
We ate here one evening while on vacation and were a bit skeptical due to the variety of the menu.
But what can I say? We had one pasta dish, one Indian dish, one pizza dish, and one currywurst dish, and all four of us were thrilled and more than full.
The super delicious food was topped off by the service and friendly staff.
So, 5 stars and full stars, and if we ever come back here, we'll definitely eat at the St. Johannes Klause again. =)
