We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and wished we'd never left. The cellar is run by a lovely retired gentleman who takes great pleasure in serving food. The service was excellent; we felt at home in the cozy atmosphere, and the food came in enormous portions that tasted simply divine. We paid just €78 for four people (four drinks, four main courses, and a dessert). All the dishes are highly recommended, especially the Kaiserschmarrn for dessert, which is highly recommended and should be ordered with caution as it can become addictive. We will definitely come back and recommend it to you too!
Very friendly service, excellent food. A bit pricey, but commensurate with the quality. Small but excellent daily menu with delicious dishes. We'll gladly come back.
Unfortunately, we are closed due to illness until June 18, 2024. We wish you a speedy recovery!
Update: The landlady is back at work during the stated hours. We'll be serving delicious homemade cakes and pastries, and of course, snacks.
The pictures in the reviews look really delicious, but when we arrived at the snack bar at 11:45 AM today, hungry, the shutters were down and no one was there, not even a sign with any information or anything. What a shame! I'm still giving it 5 stars because I'm a nice person and hope to get some information this way ❤️
I was here for a theater visit. The dishes—cheese dumplings, schnitzel with fries, sausages with sauerkraut, and the Obatzda platter—were very neatly presented.
The schnitzel was well-served, and the portions weren't huge, but very reasonably priced.
The drink prices were outstanding.
Due to the full auditorium, the service was quite busy, and some people received their food late or didn't get it at all.
The full auditorium is also very cramped, but you want to sit near the front of the theater stage.
