XAXIU Vietnam Cuisine in München

Extensive menu with some dishes that go beyond the ubiquitous “standards”. Our dishes were all delicious and fresh. The price/performance ratio is absolutely fair! The interior was decorated with love, the service is reserved but friendly and quick. Tip: Com Tam Crispy Tofu offers everything you could wish for: crispy tofu, waxy fried eggs, fluffy rice, spicy vegetables and a tasty pho broth.

We all felt comfortable here. The portions are optimal, taste outstanding and lovingly and appetizingly prepared. 😋😋👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I've been there twice for dinner. The food is very tasty and recommended. The price is definitely worth the quality. But sometimes you have to wait longer. If you adjust to it, it's no longer a problem. It's worth the wait!

Visiting with small children is not possible! There was neither room for the stroller nor a high chair. The staff was not interested in finding a solution and would have preferred to let us go. We then found a solution ourselves. Unfortunately, some of the staff are unfriendly. Guests who came after us were served before us. The restaurant takes part in NeoTaste, but then sometimes refuses the vouchers. The food is delicious, but also quite expensive. Overall, unfortunately it is no longer recommended as much as it was a year ago.

Very quiet, delicious, and the price is very affordable in Munich

Don't order anything to be delivered! Ordered through Wolt. Delivery never arrived. After an hour we called the restaurant and said the driver was on his way. After another half hour still no delivery. I then contacted Wolt Support and had the invoice amount refunded. It's not possible, don't offer delivery if you obviously can't get it...

Lunch dishes are also highly recommended to take away, you just have to make sure that you get the right dish.

We got a nice table for four on a Sunday evening without an appointment. The food and service were very good - gladly again!

I had a mint tea that tasted good. Unfortunately the rest wasn't so good. We saw cobwebs in the lampshade above us. And a big spider was next to us at the window. The wait until we finally got our food was very long. The service also left a lot to be desired. But the restaurant is very nicely decorated. Unfortunately the chair covers where we sat were very dirty (disgusting!). It was also very expensive. The food was really nothing special as there are much, much better Vietnamese in Munich. To be honest, there are only better Vietnamese in Munich (as far as I can tell so far. I've been to a lot).

We came because of a NeoTaste voucher. We were happy with the food so far. Unfortunately the starter came together with the main courses. Unfortunately, the problem with the visit was the service: it was either non-existent, listless and on the cell phone, or very snippy, so that you had the feeling that you were a nuisance or had done something wrong (e.g. when moving inside or when the grill flame went out).

I ordered through Wolt. After a while I got a message that the food was delivered, which wasn't true. I haven't been called or rung and the food is nowhere to be found. After turning on Wolt Support I was told that they couldn't find me and that the food was next to my mailbox, which again wasn't true. How could you not reach me please? I could be reached at any time on the number I provided, and you could also just ring the bell downstairs. It's not possible to lie like that and I'll never order there again. Edit: now the answer claimed that I had given the wrong name and phone number, really a joke. I checked everything again to be on the safe side and everything was correct. Now to say something completely wrong AGAIN... Then let me see what kind of “photos” were taken.

The food here is simply delicious. No matter what we have ordered so far, it tastes simply sensational. The service is very attentive and friendly.

I visited from Canada in August 2023 & I still dream about how great the food was one year later. Highly recommend for the beautiful atmosphere, great customer service & incredible food. Excited to come back in 2025!

Located in Munichs elder part close to the English garden. Very calm and nice outside area. Very delicious authentic Vietnamese / Thailand food. Absolutely recommended.

Food is good but service is very bad. The waitress in the blue shirt forgot our food for 30 minutes without even apologizing.

There were two of us there and we wanted to redeem vouchers via NeoTaste. The meal for two is redeemable and brings a benefit of €24 for two people. The free dessert, on the other hand, can be redeemed twice according to NeoTaste and the title says free dessert. Instead, a discount of €6 was granted for two people. I find it very weak. I would have expected more for that. But the food was very good.

The decor is very cute! The seating outside is also very nice and pleasant under umbrellas! The service is also very nice and friendly! Food very well seasoned. The menu has a good selection of everything. I was most pleased with the Vietnamese coffee with baby's milk, which I haven't had for so long because it's not available everywhere! The restaurant is highly recommended!! A little tip if the weather is bad: it's better to reserve in advance as there aren't that many seats inside.

A very nice restaurant, unfortunately the service was not good at all. After a long wait, a main course arrived, 5 minutes later the drinks and another 15 minutes later the other main course. Without apology or anything. The entrecote was so tough that I could hardly chew it. I can't explain it, after all the store was only half full. Reading the other reviews, it seems like we had a bad day. A pity

There were two of us here for dinner. Had soup as a starter, sushi bowl and bao burger as main course and ice cream for dessert. Everything was tasty, good portion sizes. The service was polite and friendly, but not particularly warm. Some of the furnishings are getting a bit old. Overall everything was fine and I would come again. :)

Just no! We ordered food. First we waited 1.5 hours for the food and after calling twice the driver gave us the number so we could get an update ourselves. The gyozas were a sticky mass, the crispy sushi balls only tasted like rice, the caramelized pork was way too oversalted and the shrimp in the tempura batter were not deveined and the tempura was sticky. Never again!

Unprofessional would be a euphemistic word for this service. 2 and a half hours of waiting for breakfast to be served after calling 3 times with another 20 minutes of waiting time. If you ask, you have to find out where the order is and reach the driver using a special number. No compensation nor a sincere apology. Unprofessional and rude... I would definitely advise against ordering!

Small but beautiful and cosy, excellent and fast service.

We went to eat with a large group of people. The service from everyone in the restaurant was fantastic. They supported us to celebrate a birthday and were very flexible with the organization. The food was to everyone's taste and has different options for everyone. The food has excellent flavor, presentation and size. I recommend this restaurant and will definitely return when I am in Munich again.

Unfortunately, the store has closed despite supposedly being open on Google. We had even made a reservation via the online option “the Fork”, received confirmation and were then even asked to confirm the reservation again. Only to find yourself standing in front of a locked door!

There is only one thing you can say about this restaurant. Wow super tasty! Definitely coming back when we are nearby.

The starter was relatively small for €7. For the Pho soup, I would have liked the broth to be a little stronger.

Great cuisine, had a fantastic meal! Courteous service. The only flaw was the rather small table at which the three of us sat. But it's also a small and fine restaurant and we were able to make arrangements. we will be happy to come back

Very tasty Vietnamese food and homemade lemonade. We were here at lunchtime and took advantage of the lunch offer. Ramen and Vietnamese platter were very tasty and very filling. You can also order spring rolls for €1. The atmosphere seemed very colorful, the seats and passages were relatively narrow.

After the renovation the ambience is very nice. Sushi excellent. Presentation of the food was elaborate and good. A little too much food decoration on the plate for my taste. The price is based on the Lehel standard, i.e. high. Service was very nice, but could still be improved - wrong dishes at the table, communication with individual service staff difficult and when the menu is brought to you to choose a dessert, someone is allowed to check again at some point and take the order instead of you having to wave yourself. Overall, a very nice restaurant and an asset to Lehel.

From my personal experience, I think the restaurant and the dishes themselves are great and delicious. The portions were large. Unfortunately, with the voucher from NeoTaste, it seemed to me as if not all the employees really understood it, so I didn't get a reduction in the price despite the voucher for 2 for 1 main dishes. It was a bit disappointing. It might work better in the future with understandability :)

Good snack! We have been to XAXIU twice now. The first time the staff couldn't find the confirmed reservation and we sat at the bar to wait for a seat. It can happen that something goes wrong with the reservations. After 20 minutes we said goodbye anyway and said that we were happy to come back at a different time because the XAXIU was very full. When was today different? We had reserved for the time slot from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. This was also confirmed to us by email from the restaurant. Right at the beginning the waiter explained to us that we only had an hour to eat. The reservation would only be for one hour and then the next reservation would come. And that's exactly how it was. After almost exactly an hour, the waiter stood at the table with the debit card machine and charged us because we had to leave now. According to other reviews, we weren't the first guests to experience this. The language barrier with the staff did not allow for a “clarifying” conversation. The waiter just smiled and said that we could “sit longer next time”. There will be no next time. Why? The food was delicious, the atmosphere is nice, the service was attentive. But as a guest you don't feel valued if you are asked to pay and leave with the debit card machine in your hand immediately after the main course has been served. So the XAXIU is nothing more than a good, but too expensive, snack bar - but not a restaurant where you can feel comfortable and eat comfortably. A pity.

Reservations for Valentine's Day that had been made for weeks were simply canceled 2 days before. When asked why, the answer was simply “no space” and if they hadn’t thought of it earlier, “no”.

3.5 ⭐️ out of 5 I would have liked a nice smile upon arrival. So I was quietly escorted to my table or I just followed behind. The restaurant is manageable, there wasn't too much going on that evening. Very nicely decorated, even though it's a little smaller, I think it's very well thought out. Of course you hear the neighbor's conversation at the table, but you're here to eat and not to listen :) After 10 minutes someone came to my table and I immediately ordered a drink for my companion (who wasn't there yet). As mentioned in previous reviews; There is actually still room for improvement when it comes to service. Maybe a great warmth, with a little smile and a feeling of welcome - would be wonderful ☺️. Another suggestion I would have is to simply print the barcode for the guest WiFi into the card. This saves you from having to ask annoying questions. The sushi was beautifully prepared. I would reconsider the ginger. Personally, I would swap the wooden sticks for others because you sometimes get the “woody taste” in your mouth. But this shouldn't be seen as a negative, rather as a well-intentioned tip. Priced in the higher category. But very nice portion sizes. Well calculated. All in all a very nice evening. I'll definitely come by again in a few weeks.

Service unter aller Sau. Bieten Tische auf so ziemlichen allen Buchungsplattformen an ohne die Kapazitäten zu haben. Wir wurden trotz bestätigter Reservierung weggeschickt… Während wir mit dem kaum deutsch sprechenden Personal diskutiert haben, wurden zwei weitere Gruppen ebenfalls weggeschickt. Service ist anscheinend ein Fremdwort.

We've been here before and loved the food - so we made a reservation again, but the staff couldn't find the reservation (Quando) on site and wanted to make us wait at the counter for an hour and weren't interested in a child-friendly solution

Great food, everything was just right. You won't find anything negative here.

We were there with a reservation. When we were seated at the table we were immediately told that we could only stay for 90 minutes. However, according to the internet, our reservation was valid for 2 hours. Food was ok, but didn't blow us away. Service was ok, but there was always confusion due to language problems. But the furnishings are really nice. It must be clear to you that everything is very narrow and that you hardly have any distance to the neighboring table.

Ordinary Vietnamese restaurant. Portions regular, food tasty enough with the classical Vietnamese dishes. The atmosphere is pleasant, although there are only few tables. Waiters speak poorly German or English.

Das Essen war sehr sehr lecker. Wir hatten einige Vorspeisen, Ramen mit Ente und die Bao Burger mit Lachs. Es wurde sich viel Mühe bei der Zubereitung gegeben. Der Service war auch prima. Werden dort auf jedenfall nochmal essen gehen.

Leider ein echter Reinfall, aber wir haben dadurch einen Running Gag erhalten...haben Sie Trinkgeld vergessen...nein, haben Sie Service vergessen :-) Viel zu eng, die Tische stehen so dicht aneinander, dass man sich nicht einmal die Jacke ausziehen kann ohne das Besteck auf den Boden zu befördern und wenn der Kellner das Essen am Nachbartisch serviert, hat er seinen Allerwertesten fast schon in meinem Essen. Ja wir wissen alle, Mieten sind teuer in München und man muss den Platz optimieren, aber man geht nicht nur zur Nahrungsaufnahme Essen, es soll etwas Schönes sein. Service kaum vorhanden, sehr vergesslich, nicht unhöflich, aber völlig uninteressiert, ich verstehe, wenn man nicht gerne im Restaurant bedienen möchte, aber warum wählt man dann diesen Beruf??? Das Essen war okay, es wäre ungerecht hier zu behaupten es wäre nicht gut, aber es ist nicht außergewöhnlich, die Preise jedoch passen nicht, ganz besonders bei den vegetarischen Gerichten, es war nicht der schlimmste Restaurantbesuch meines Lebens, aber es war auch einfach nicht erwähnenswert und wenn ich dann noch gefragt werde ob ich das Trinkgeld vergessen habe, ist das ein krönender Abschluss, nein habe ich nicht, damit will ich zum Ausdruck bringen, ich war nicht zufrieden, ich wollte es ja vor Ort anbringen, aber plötzlich verstand man mich nicht mehr so gut...also bei der großen Vietnamesen in München, sollte man sich hier anstrengen um nicht den Anschluss zu verlieren und nicht nur auf der Erfolgswelle Anderer mitzusurfen, ohne wirklich abzuliefern

Small but nice place. Overall friendly service. Food was good and fair with the lunch menu prices. If it's the same plate in the evening it might be a bit over but still acceptable.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 8 Personen Vorort beim Essen. Das Ambiente ist sehr einladend. Wir alle hatten Vorspeisen, Hauptspeisen und Nachspeisen. Die meisten in unserer Gruppe fanden das Essen gut. Die Sushi Balls waren sehr fein. Beim Service ist noch Luft nach oben. Das Personal war immer sehr freundlich und hat die lange Wartezeit oder auch fehlende Gerichte versucht wegzulächeln. Kann passieren - sollte aber nicht.

In schöner, etwas schummriger Atmosphäre mit äußerst freundlichem Service (leider nicht unbedingt des Deutschen "mächtig). Sehr leckeres Essen, allerdings recht kleine Portionen, die nicht gerade die etwas "gehobenen " Preise rechtfertigen. Dennoch: sehr empfehlenswert.

Das Interior Design ist insgesamt sehr ansprechend. Aber wir mussten bestimmt 20 Minuten warten, bis wir trotz Reservierung einen Tisch bekamen. Der Tisch war winzig für 3. Das Essen war nicht besonders gut gewürzt und recht langweilig. Der Service war stellenweise überfordert. Vielleicht haben wir einen schlechten Tag erwischt, aber wir waren ziemlich enttäuscht und werden wohl nicht noch einmal hingehen.

Mehr Schein als Sein. Optisch sieht das Essen ansprechend aus. Es schmeckt auch nicht schlecht, jedoch bei weitem nicht so gut wie es manche User hier und in den bekannten sozialen Netzwerken hypen. Das Konzept ist hier klar „Asia-Fusion Küche“. Von Curry Ente bis zu Sushi gibt es hier alles. Aus meiner Sicht jedoch immer schwierig wenn ein Restaurant das komplette asiatische Programm auffährt. Auch das Ambiente ist halt typisch asiatischer Kitsch. Den Service möchte ich aber explizit herausnehmen. Sehr zuvorkommend, aufmerksam und freundlich.

Ich hab soeben die Pho Suppe ausprobiert. Als eine Vietnamesin bin ich halt selbstbewusst, dass die Suppe hier authentisch und lecker ist 😍 Kann man nur weiterempfehlen!!!

Sehr schönes, gemütliches Lokal! Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker. Wir haben mit neotaste gebucht. Würden aber ohne den neotaste Rabatt nicht nochmal kommen, da beide Gerichte 19,50€ gekostet haben und mein Freund auch nicht richtig satt geworden ist. Geschmacklich top aber uns etwas zu teuer. Das Essen war übrigens auch sehr schnell da.

Absolut empfehlenswert. Nettes Ambiente in einem kleinen, gemütlichen Restaurant. Umfangreiche Karte mit vielen vegetarischen und veganen Gerichten, die uns, die wir das erste Mal vietnamesisch essen waren, hervorragend geschmeckt haben. Das gesamte Team war nett und höflich, wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt und würden ganz sicher nochmal kommen, so es uns denn nach München verschlägt.

Ich war das 2. Mal hier, da ich beim 1. Mal vom Essen überzeugt war. Beim 1. Mal Besuch unter der Woche, heute an einem Samstag. Online gebucht für 19 Uhr, 2. Personen, um 20 Uhr wurden wir aufgefordert zu zahlen, da der Tisch ein weiteres Mal reserviert sei. Wir hatten gerade die Hauptspeise beendet. Hätten noch gerne einen Nachtisch genommen & unser Getränk ausgetrunken. 1 Std. Belegungszeit geht gar nicht & ist viel zu kurz. Bei der Onlinebuchung wurde nicht darauf hingewiesen, dass der Tisch nach 1 Std. verlassen werden muss. 87 EUR für 2 Personen und 1 Std Zeit insgesamt ein "no go". Da gehe ich zum Streetfood-Vietnamesen - gibt es jede Menge sehr gute in München. Ist billiger und schmeckt genauso gut! Unsere Getränke haben wir draußen ausgetrunken. Gott sei Dank war es heute trocken bei ca. 12 Grad (Föhn in München). Mein Freund hat sich vor Ort beschwert. Der Chef meinte er solle sich wieder setzen. Nun ja leider zu spät! Gastfreundschaft geht anders. So geht es auf jeden Fall nicht. Wir wollten einen entspannten Abend verbringen bei einem guten Essen und mindestens einem Zeitfenster von insgesamt 2 Std. Leider war dies nicht möglich. Übrigens kann ich die Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen, bei denen 40 Min auf das Essen gewartet wurde. Wart ihr wirklich in diesem Restaurant? Wir mussten nach 1 Std gehen. Liebe Leute so nicht! Dann macht aus dem kleinen Laden doch gleich einen "Vietnamesischen Imbiss"! Oder noch besser verzichtet auf 3-4 Belegungen der Tische am Abend. Belegt max 2 x. Restaurant oder Imbiss entscheidet euch! Ein weiteres Ärgernis: 1 Glas Wein wurde zu viel berechnet (immerhin 7,50 EUR). Durch den Druck des Kellners, abzukassieren, blieb noch nicht einmal Zeit, die Rechnung zu checken. Fiel mir erst zuhause auf. Ich komme Montag mit der Rechnung vorbei. Bis Montag.

Essen sehr lecker, eher kleine Portionen. Bei der Nachspeise leider Ärger: Ich habe gesagt, dass ich mir die Nachspeise mit dem Sesam- und Grünteeeis (5,9€) gerne mit meiner Freundin teilen möchte. Es kamen dann 2 Kugeln nett und separat angerichtet und wir haben uns schon gefreut wie auf den Teilen-Wunsch eingegangen wurde. Auf der Rechnung wurden dann aber 2x 5.9€ ausgewiesen. Pro Kugel also 5.9€ und das obwohl es nicht so in der Karte dargestellt wird, siehe Bild. Unsere Hinweise auf die Karte und unseren Wunsch eine Nachspeise zu teilen (was bei 2 einzelnen Nachspeisen ja keinen Sinn macht) wurde nur mit: „sorry, das sind 2 Nachspeisen“ abgetan. Wieso dann die beiden Eissorten genau wie bei den anderen Nachspeisen aufgelistet werden ohne den Zusatz „wahlweise“ ist dann einfach nur unverständlich. Die Kugeln hatten dann auch noch Eisklumpen drin, für 5.90€ pro Kugel als wirklich nicht das Geld wert. Schade, so kommen wir nicht nochmal.

Für das Geld ist mir das zu wenig. 18 Euro die Bowl für Reis und Lachs. Geht besser in München.

Jedzenie bez smaku. Czuje się jakbym jadł papier. Pho bulion prawie sama woda. Sushi słabe, nawet wasabi było bez mocy. Sok rozcieńczony. Nie polecam, chyba, że nie ma już co jeść w okolicy. Pałeczki do sushi były całkiem ładne, ale też widać, że farba odpadła już ze starości.

Kleines, sehr modern gestaltetes Lokal. Service war gut, Wartezeiten auf Getränke und Essen gering. Allen hat es gut geschmeckt. Wir kommen wieder.

Essen war super lecker. Wir hatten als Vorspeise verschiedene Dumblings und die Banh Bao Burger mit Ente. Die Bao Burger sind weich und die Soße verbindet sich sehr gut mit der Ente und Kräutern und es kommt eine leichte Süße hervor. Super Lecker Zum Hauptgang hatten wir Ente mit Curry und die Portionen sind wirklich gross für eine Person. Ich musste das mit meinem Partner teilen, weil ich es einfach nicht mehr geschafft habe. Die Location ist sehr gemütlich und man sieht das die Inhaber sehr viel Wert auf Details legen. Der Service ist aufmerksam und schnell! Danke liebes Xaxiu-Team wir kommen gerne wieder!
