XAXIU Vietnam Cuisine in München

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The Xaxiu on Reitmorstraße is truly a place close to my heart. Every time I eat here, I leave with a smile. The food is not only delicious, but also prepared with palpable love. But it's the warm, welcoming nature of the entire team that makes the visit so special. You immediately feel welcome and well looked after. For me, the Xaxiu is a place where you not only feel full, but also completely happy. Absolutely recommend it!

We were there at prime time on a Friday night, and the restaurant was completely full. It was a bit like the waiters were overwhelmed. The restaurant is small, but beautifully decorated. You also have a bit of privacy, and you're not sitting too close to one another. The waiters were all very friendly and exuded a pleasant, calm atmosphere. There's a wide selection of food and drinks. We had beef rice and vegetarian ramen with vegetable dumplings, both of which were very, very good. The portions were large and perfectly reasonable for the price. What I particularly liked was that the waitress came and poured a liquid into a small container, and then smoke came out and spread all over the table. A real wow factor. We'll definitely be back!!

We had a reservation for 6 people and received a very warm welcome. The service was very attentive, friendly, and quick. We all found something delicious to eat from the extensive menu and ordered the appetizer first. Everything arrived quickly and correctly. We had a very individual request for the main course, but it was implemented without any problems and served correctly. All in all, a very pleasant visit, and we will be back!

This is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants you’ve gotta try in Munich. We had the mango papaya mixed salat, xaxiu BUN lalot, Bo xao sa, and stir-fried glass noodles—everything was super tasty! For drinks, we went with the Minze & Ingwer, and it was super refreshing and delicious. The vibe of the place is really nice—clean, fancy, and just a great spot to hang out. Easily a 10/10 from me!

After the renovation the ambience is very nice. Sushi excellent. Presentation of the food was elaborate and good. A little too much food decoration on the plate for my taste. The price is based on the Lehel standard, i.e. high. Service was very nice, but could still be improved - wrong dishes at the table, communication with individual service staff difficult and when the menu is brought to choose a dessert, someone is allowed to check again at some point and take the order. Overall, a very nice restaurant and an asset to Lehel.

I ordered through Wolt. After a while I got a message that the food was delivered, which wasn't true. I haven't been called or rung and the food is nowhere to be found. After turning on Wolt Support I was told that they couldn't find me and that the food was next to my mailbox, which again wasn't true. How could you not reach me please? I could be reached at any time on the number I provided, and you could also just ring the bell downstairs. It's not possible to lie like that and I'll never order there again. Edit1: now the answer claimed that I had given the wrong name and phone number, really a joke. I checked everything again to be on the safe side and everything was correct. Now to say something completely wrong AGAIN... Then let me see what kind of “photos” were taken. Edit2: Now an attempt was made to remove my 1 star review due to “defamation”, which is a well-known strategy used by some restaurants to get rid of their 1 star reviews...

I really liked this restaurant. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and the atmosphere was lovely. The only thing I’d suggest is spacing guests out a bit more. I understand the tables are set up for different group sizes, but when only two tables are occupied and it’s unlikely more guests will arrive, it would be nice not to be seated so close to others. p.s. if google leads you through the courtyard, don’t trust it :)

Extensive menu with some dishes that go beyond the ubiquitous “standards”. Our dishes were all delicious and fresh. The price/performance ratio is absolutely fair! The interior was decorated with love, the service is reserved but friendly and quick. Tip: Com Tam Crispy Tofu offers everything you could wish for: crispy tofu, waxy fried eggs, fluffy rice, spicy vegetables and a tasty pho broth.

I've been there twice for dinner. The food is very tasty and recommended. The price is definitely worth the quality. But sometimes you have to wait longer. If you adjust to it, it's no longer a problem. It's worth the wait!

Visiting with small children is not possible! There was neither room for the stroller nor a high chair. The staff was not interested in finding a solution and would have preferred to let us go. We then found a solution ourselves. Unfortunately, some of the staff are unfriendly. Guests who came after us were served before us. The restaurant takes part in NeoTaste, but then sometimes refuses the vouchers. The food is delicious, but also quite expensive. Overall, unfortunately it is no longer recommended as much as it was a year ago.

Don't order anything to be delivered! Ordered through Wolt. Delivery never arrived. After an hour we called the restaurant and said the driver was on his way. After another half hour still no delivery. I then contacted Wolt Support and had the invoice amount refunded. It's not possible, don't offer delivery if you obviously can't get it...

Lunch dishes are also highly recommended to take away, you just have to make sure that you get the right dish.

We got a nice table for four on a Sunday evening without an appointment. The food and service were very good - gladly again!

I had a mint tea that tasted good. Unfortunately the rest wasn't so good. We saw cobwebs in the lampshade above us. And a big spider was next to us at the window. The wait until we finally got our food was very long. The service also left a lot to be desired. But the restaurant is very nicely decorated. Unfortunately the chair covers where we sat were very dirty (disgusting!). It was also very expensive. The food was really nothing special as there are much, much better Vietnamese in Munich. To be honest, there are only better Vietnamese in Munich (as far as I can tell so far. I've been to a lot).

We came because of a NeoTaste voucher. We were happy with the food so far. Unfortunately the starter came together with the main courses. Unfortunately, the problem with the visit was the service: it was either non-existent, listless and on the cell phone, or very snippy, so that you had the feeling that you were a nuisance or had done something wrong (e.g. when moving inside or when the grill flame went out).

Located in Munichs elder part close to the English garden. Very calm and nice outside area. Very delicious authentic Vietnamese / Thailand food. Absolutely recommended.

Food is good but service is very bad. The waitress in the blue shirt forgot our food for 30 minutes without even apologizing.

There were two of us there and we wanted to redeem vouchers via NeoTaste. The meal for two is redeemable and brings a benefit of €24 for two people. The free dessert, on the other hand, can be redeemed twice according to NeoTaste and the title says free dessert. Instead, a discount of €6 was granted for two people. I find it very weak. I would have expected more for that. But the food was very good.

The decor is very cute! The seating outside is also very nice and pleasant under umbrellas! The service is also very nice and friendly! Food very well seasoned. The menu has a good selection of everything. I was most pleased with the Vietnamese coffee with baby's milk, which I haven't had for so long because it's not available everywhere! The restaurant is highly recommended!! A little tip if the weather is bad: it's better to reserve in advance as there aren't that many seats inside.

A very nice restaurant, unfortunately the service was not good at all. After a long wait, a main course arrived, 5 minutes later the drinks and another 15 minutes later the other main course. Without apology or anything. The entrecote was so tough that I could hardly chew it. I can't explain it, after all the store was only half full. Reading the other reviews, it seems like we had a bad day. A pity

There were two of us here for dinner. Had soup as a starter, sushi bowl and bao burger as main course and ice cream for dessert. Everything was tasty, good portion sizes. The service was polite and friendly, but not particularly warm. Some of the furnishings are getting a bit old. Overall everything was fine and I would come again. :)

Unprofessional would be a euphemistic word for this service. 2 and a half hours of waiting for breakfast to be served after calling 3 times with another 20 minutes of waiting time. If you ask, you have to find out where the order is and reach the driver using a special number. No compensation nor a sincere apology. Unprofessional and rude... I would definitely advise against ordering!

Just no! We ordered food. First we waited 1.5 hours for the food and after calling twice the driver gave us the number so we could get an update ourselves. The gyozas were a sticky mass, the crispy sushi balls only tasted like rice, the caramelized pork was way too oversalted and the shrimp in the tempura batter were not deveined and the tempura was sticky. Never again!

We went to eat with a large group of people. The service from everyone in the restaurant was fantastic. They supported us to celebrate a birthday and were very flexible with the organization. The food was to everyone's taste and has different options for everyone. The food has excellent flavor, presentation and size. I recommend this restaurant and will definitely return when I am in Munich again.

Unfortunately, the store has closed despite supposedly being open on Google. We had even made a reservation via the online option “the Fork”, received confirmation and were then even asked to confirm the reservation again. Only to find yourself standing in front of a locked door!

The starter was relatively small for €7. For the Pho soup, I would have liked the broth to be a little stronger.

Very tasty Vietnamese food and homemade lemonade. We were here at lunchtime and took advantage of the lunch offer. Ramen and Vietnamese platter were very tasty and very filling. You can also order spring rolls for €1. The atmosphere seemed very colorful, the seats and passages were relatively narrow.

From my personal experience, I think the restaurant and the dishes themselves are great and delicious. The portions were large. Unfortunately, with the voucher from NeoTaste, it seemed to me as if not all the employees really understood it, so I didn't get a reduction in the price despite the voucher for 2 for 1 main dishes. It was a bit disappointing. It might work better in the future with understandability :)

Good snack! We have been to XAXIU twice now. The first time the staff couldn't find the confirmed reservation and we sat at the bar to wait for a seat. It can happen that something goes wrong with the reservations. After 20 minutes we said goodbye anyway and said that we were happy to come back at a different time because the XAXIU was very full. When was today different? We had reserved for the time slot from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. This was also confirmed to us by email from the restaurant. Right at the beginning the waiter explained to us that we only had an hour to eat. The reservation would only be for one hour and then the next reservation would come. And that's exactly how it was. After almost exactly an hour, the waiter stood at the table with the debit card machine and charged us because we had to leave now. According to other reviews, we weren't the first guests to experience this. The language barrier with the staff did not allow for a “clarifying” conversation. The waiter just smiled and said that we could “sit longer next time”. There will be no next time. Why? The food was delicious, the atmosphere is nice, the service was attentive. But as a guest you don't feel valued if you are asked to pay and leave with the debit card machine in your hand immediately after the main course has been served. So the XAXIU is nothing more than a good, but too expensive, snack bar - but not a restaurant where you can feel comfortable and eat comfortably. A pity.

Reservations for Valentine's Day that had been made for weeks were simply canceled 2 days before. When asked why, the answer was simply “no space” and if they hadn’t thought of it earlier, “no”.

3.5 ⭐️ out of 5 I would have liked a nice smile upon arrival. So I was quietly escorted to my table or I just followed behind. The restaurant is manageable, there wasn't too much going on that evening. Very nicely decorated, even though it's a little smaller, I think it's very well thought out. Of course you hear the neighbor's conversation at the table, but you're here to eat and not to listen :) After 10 minutes someone came to my table and I immediately ordered a drink for my companion (who wasn't there yet). As mentioned in previous reviews; There is actually still room for improvement when it comes to service. Maybe a great warmth, with a little smile and a feeling of welcome - would be wonderful ☺️. Another suggestion I would have is to simply print the barcode for the guest WiFi into the card. This saves you from having to ask annoying questions. The sushi was beautifully prepared. I would reconsider the ginger. Personally, I would swap the wooden sticks for others because you sometimes get the “woody taste” in your mouth. But this shouldn't be seen as a negative, rather as a well-intentioned tip. Priced in the higher category. But very nice portion sizes. Well calculated. All in all a very nice evening. I'll definitely come by again in a few weeks.

Wir wurden trotz bestätigter Reservierung weggeschickt… Während wir mit dem kaum deutsch sprechenden Personal diskutiert haben, wurden zwei weitere Gruppen ebenfalls weggeschickt. Service ist anscheinend ein Fremdwort.

We've been here before and loved the food - so we made a reservation again, but the staff couldn't find the reservation (Quando) on site and wanted to make us wait at the counter for an hour and weren't interested in a child-friendly solution
