A superb restaurant with excellent cuisine. The ambiance is exceptionally colorful and has a lot to offer. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was truly delicious and freshly cooked.

The price was quite high for what you got. Yes, it was in Munich, where everything is expensive. Almost €18 for a bit of rice and a medium-sized portion of vegetables with chicken wasn't good value in our opinion. The taste was okay, not a smash hit, but not bad either. Just average. We'd rather find another restaurant for our next visit.

This restaurant can be unconditionally recommended. Friendly service and consistently good food.

We'll be back! We found the staff and the atmosphere very pleasant. The waitresses were very friendly and attentive. Our dogs also felt comfortable under the table. The food was very different from your average Asian restaurant; the appetizers (we had two different ones) and desserts (cakes) were especially special – and very delicious. The chef came to our table twice. With the appetizer, he simply sipped the fresh sauce over the food instead of dipping it in. It wasn't unpleasant, but very welcoming. As we were leaving, he came back to say goodbye with a hug. And we didn't do much business at all; there were two adults and we shared the main course.

We tried the Pho Ga and were delighted! Fresh, light, and full of flavor—just as it should be. Great food, generous portions, and friendly service.

I ordered here via Uber Eats at 2:30 PM. The original delivery time was supposed to be 3:23 PM, but then the delivery time kept getting pushed back. At 3:50 PM, the order was canceled without comment. That's very disappointing service. An order shouldn't be accepted if you don't serve it.

Order placed this evening: 2 out of 4 dishes are missing and the rice, the little we had arrived shattered. We had the same dish 4 times and the only two that arrived did not have the same quantity/quality. I won't come back.

The food here is very boring, it doesn't have the typical Vietnamese taste. The boss here has a very uncivilized attitude towards others. The food here is all frozen food and not fresh food at all, the prices are too expensive. and the old boss here doesn't know how to cook authentic Vietnamese food. and finally, there are signs of tax evasion in this restaurant. I hope people and the government pay attention to this. DON'T BE FOOLED BECAUSE THERE ARE ONLY FROZEN FOODS. THIS IS EXTREMELY HARMFUL TO YOUR HEALTH!!!! There is no authentic and fresh Vietnamese food.and what makes me most angry and dissatisfied is that this restaurant serves traditional Vietnamese Pho with frozen beef and chicken. For Vietnamese, it's like putting shit in a bowl of pho. However, the sad thing is that foreigners eat it and say it is delicious. It's a shame about the Vietnamese cuisine. For the Germans it was like cheating. It's annoying that they do this in Germany and it's still being developed!!!

Tan Nam is just great! The food is really tasty – really, really good! The service is extremely nice and totally accommodating, you immediately feel welcome. There is even a lunch menu where all dishes only cost 12 euros - and with this quality! Absolutely recommended, I'll definitely be back!

We have a new favorite restaurant! The TanNam at Balanstrasse 47, No matter what we have tried so far, everything has been delicious! Every dish is authentic and very, very good! The super nice, funny team is very friendly and competent. The lunch menus are great and for €11.90 it's mega! The spring rolls are really homemade, the soups are hot and very tasty. The ducks are crispy and really good portions that fill you up.:) We will order often again and hope it will be soon Open so we can eat in the restaurant. My tip: duck with red curry! Delicious! Disappointing – reservation simply canceled! We had reserved a table on January 14th for February 14th (Valentine's Day). Two days before, on February 12th, our reservation was simply canceled without giving any reason. This is really disappointing! Valentine's Day planning ruined. A well-organized restaurant doesn't do this. We will look for another restaurant in the future - this one is definitely no longer on our list.

Good food at somewhat high prices. When we arrived there was only one other table in the restaurant occupied. Nevertheless, we were seated at the table right next to this table (approx. 30cm distance). We found it strange that, for both the starter and the main course, the waitress was already waiting about 1-2 meters away from our table during the last forkfuls we ate and the plates were hardly empty (we were even still chewing). cleared the plates.

I had duck with peanut sauce delivered to my house. Duck was inedible, fried totally hard and not tasty at all! Peanut sauce was a peanut soup that looked very disgusting. Rice was normal I will never order here again

Tan Nam serves one of the best bowls of Pho I’ve had outside of Vietnam! The broth is outstanding—rich, flavorful, and clearly made from real bone broth, not laden with MSG. Definitely has the authentic flavors of Vietnam. The thinly sliced beef was incredibly tender, perfectly complementing the hearty soup. The service was impressive. The staffs are attentive, and the owner uncle is warm and welcoming, adding a personal touch to the dining experience. If you’re craving authentic Vietnamese Pho, this place is a must-visit! Highly recommended!

Price/performance is not right here. Quite expensive for unspectacular food. Little seasoned and cold in the restaurant.

The restaurant is not heated even in winter when temperatures are below zero! According to an employee: it's always cold here. There are no radiators or heating floors... Food was ok. Sercice was attentive. Because of the non-working/existing heating, I'll never come back.

I became aware of the restaurant through NeoTaste. Service was very nice, friendly and helpful, but the ambience could be a little nicer (e.g. entrance door/toilet was strange). The food was ready within 10 minutes, not a long wait. The mixed starter platter was very good and also sufficient as a main course. The price for a main course is €20, which is a bit higher than at other restaurants, but the portion was really big. You will also receive a fortune cookie as a gift after your meal. I can recommend it 100%!

We usually order here when we want to eat Vietnamese. So far everything has tasted good and the portions are decent.

I ordered here via Wolt at 8:05 p.m. Originally it was supposed to be delivered at 8:40 p.m. in about 35 minutes, but then the delivery time was pushed back further and further. At 9:07 p.m. the order was canceled without comment. This is very disappointing service. An order should not be accepted if it is not served. It's a shame, because other reviews are good and there was a 1+1 free deal today and I would have liked to leave a good review.

I had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant yesterday and I highly recommend it! As soon as I entered I was warmly greeted and I was immediately impressed by the atmosphere. The service was outstanding: our server was attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. It was really a pleasure to get advice from him. As far as the food is concerned, all I can say is: simply heavenly! We tried the house soup as a starter, which was perfectly seasoned. For the main course I chose the fillet steak – tender and grilled to perfection. The side dishes were also fresh and an absolute highlight in terms of taste. For dessert we treated ourselves to a homemade dessert which was the perfect ending to this wonderful evening. Overall, an absolutely recommendable restaurant that impresses with its quality and service. I will definitely come back!

Very disappointing! We ordered our food with anticipation, only to receive a cancellation after a long wait - with no replacement or solution. We were very hungry and were looking forward to the food. Now we are left without food late in the evening and have to look for an alternative. Very bad service, that shouldn't happen with a delivery service!

Very good starters, especially the satay was delicious, well-proportioned main courses, friendly and quick service, nice ambience and usual prices. There is also a discounted lunch menu and the shop is well filled in the evenings, even during the week.

The food was fresh, authentic and incredibly delicious – everything from the pho soup to the vegetarian options was perfect. The delivery was on time and the service was professional and friendly. Hmm... I'm having a really hard time with this. I'm not a gourmet... but when the food was there after 2 minutes (for me and my girlfriend) it smells like a microwave... The taste was rather average, the chicken in my friend's dish only came to light after a closer search and that was rather borderline shocking. If you order tap water with your beer, that should also be on the table. Otherwise nice atmosphere, friendly service. Risk of recurrence rather small

I've been to the restaurant twice now and won't visit it again. The food is average at best, other Asian restaurants are considerably better. What should you expect from the food that is on the table after just a few minutes? While the main courses were just sufficient in size, the starter was a joke (3 MINI spring rolls for >10 EUR, delivered after 100 seconds). I also tried a cocktail at each time because they are often very good with other Asians. Here too: nothing to get. Mango Mai Tai, basically just watered down juice, I didn't taste any alcohol, 13.50 EUR. Service is nice and, as I said, very quick... Ambiance also takes some getting used to, but you can like it. However, I'm not coming anymore.

Since it was still warm, we sat outside, which was on the very busy street. The food came very quickly, but in inappropriate dishes. One with a lot of liquid sauce, on a relatively flat plate, where if you had added rice, as it was intended, everything would have spilled over the edge! When we asked, we were given a small extra dessert plate. The other second meal came with this mini dessert plate, which you couldn't really eat on. Question is, are the dishes saved there? 🤔 The second dish also had a lot of liquid sauce, which you couldn't eat all of anyway. But it looks like more! No soup was ordered either. I had before d. Order asked if I could get a little less tofu and a little more vegetables. Which was answered in the affirmative, but then there was a lot of tofu that tasted like nothing with frozen vegetables that also had no taste, except in the d. Sauce with a slightly lemony and spicy chilli taste. ...Unfortunately, no real enjoyment, just a stomach filler! I know a lot of good Vietnamese restaurants in Munich. And unfortunately that was the case. Biggest disappointment because it's almost twice the price of the others! The starters and desserts were also extremely expensive, as were the soups, small or large! That's why we didn't order anymore! What we almost always do in the other restaurants! Cola is only available in 0.4 liter bottles f. 4.50€. In the evening you only like to drink one glass of cola because of the caffeine. Our two dishes tasted totally boring and unfortunately hardly seasoned.

Not recommended!! The portions were absolutely measly, not at all authentically Vietnamese and overpriced. The sauce tasted like a cheap ready-made sauce. When asked that there were far too few rice noodles in the dish and that the food generally didn't taste good, the waitress just grinned and said sorry.

Excellent food and very nice and warm staff! It was our first time there and we will definitely come back. We actually chose the restaurant “out of necessity” because another restaurant no longer had space for our larger group reservation. Now we are very happy to have found this little treasure :) All the food was very tasty, the portions are perfect and the service is very fast and very attentive.

Closed for technical reasons. But we had a reservation for the day for 6 people. I would have expected a call. Instead, the six of us stood in front of a closed door. Uninformed. This is anything but customer-oriented. disrespectful how other people's time is treated.

We have been there several times now, we originally found out about the restaurant through the voucher booklet. What is not possible: labeling dishes as VEGAN and then preparing them with fish sauce. Each time we brought this to the attention of the on-site staff and asked that it should be changed (either not label it as vegan or leave out the fish sauce). Every time: “Yes, we’ll do it when we get the chance.” Yesterday a dish was specially ordered “without fish sauce” with the reference to vegan food and then the dish came with egg. Actually it can't be! Everything tasted OK, but nothing more. What a shame!

A nice selection of lunch menus (including vegetarian spring rolls) for €11.90. It was tasty and quick. You can even sit outside - the large bamboo trees make the seats on the busy street more comfortable.
