Wow 🤩!!! Italy in the heart of Freising. A great little Italian restaurant with a chef who serves, cooks, and sings. The pasta was fantastic, the wine was perfect, and all at really good prices. And if you're lucky, they'll turn on the karaoke later in the evening. It was an all-around fantastic evening, and we'll definitely be back.
So strange to see the restaurant in some kind of business park, surrounded by warehouses and offices. But maybe that’s the charm. We visited on Sunday while traveling back to the UK. I wanted to experience something authentically German. And while, as in every cuisine, there are Mediterranean-inspired ideas and flavors, what I got was an amazing, hearty dinner for me and my son.
First, an incredible tomato soup with basil, sour cream, and mascarpone cheese—sweet, aromatic, herby, and slightly on the sour side. Normally, I would throw in a handful of salt, but I let it be as it was and enjoyed it exactly as the chef intended.
For the main, I had ox cheek with mashed potatoes, jus, and boiled vegetables. The delicate meat dissolved in my mouth, paired with an extremely rich red wine jus. The mash was mild in flavor, creamy, and sprinkled with crispy shallots for a touch of crunch. The dish was rounded out with thick pieces of bacon, soft onion, and courgette slices. Mouthwatering.
The house atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with lovely service—very homely. And the chef? A stoic, passionate elder sage, working silently with murderous German precision. I enjoyed the hell out of this place. As a chef myself, I can say: don’t expect anything fancy or showy. Just genuine homely comfort and authentic flavor.
The four of us enjoyed the new autumn menu. We had several special requests due to various allergies, but everything was taken into account! It tasted wonderful. Many thanks to the kitchen team.
Very welcoming restaurant serving top quality, authentic Tunisian cuisine. The briks are exceptional. We also had the fish couscous, with wonderfully fresh dourades, ditto a very fine salad. A small wine menu with French, Italian and Tunisian wines. For dessert, the Fatima fingers are cooked to order and absolutely delicious. Small touches like the fresh dates make the dish special. We finished with a Tunisian date liqueur. Fair prices for top quality food and lovely service. Highly recommended. Dortmund is lucky to have Meridian. If you haven’t been, well worth trying.
Simply the best pizza in Bad Kreuznach!
Fresh ingredients, perfect dough, and incredible flavor – you can tell the love goes into the cooking here.
We love coming back – highly recommended!
We chose a three-course menu that left nothing to be desired. A visual and gustatory delight, accompanied by excellent local wine from the Wiersching winery. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, yet unobtrusive, and, among other things, ensured that the open white wine was served at the perfect temperature despite the warm outside temperatures.
A visit to Pizzeria Via del Campo is definitely recommended – from the very first moment, you'll sense the passion for good food, a family atmosphere, and true Italian joie de vivre.
The pizzas are simply fantastic: thin, crispy bases, perfectly baked in a stone oven, topped with fresh and carefully selected ingredients.
In addition to pizza, the menu also offers delicious antipasti, homemade pasta, and regularly changing specialties, where you can tell that the food here is truly cooked with passion.
The ambiance is charming and cozy – perfect for a relaxing evening with friends, family, or even just the two of you. The service is attentive, warm, and always happy to give recommendations. You simply feel at home there.
We stayed in Grafing for five days while on vacation. Allegria became our our favorite place in town to end the day. The staff were friendly, the food delicious, the wine selection was good and reasonably priced, and the ambiance was was laid back and very pleasant. Highly recommended for travelers staying in Grafing.
Great value for money, delicious food, and a super friendly staff.
An insider tip for dessert is the Persian cake with rose water, which is occasionally offered.
Absoluut GEEN aanrader… De keuken was al donker toen we binnenzaten.
We spent two nights at the Steek family's guesthouse and felt completely at home. Mr. Steek gave us a very warm welcome, was always approachable and helpful, and communication beforehand was very pleasant. Our room was very clean and pleasantly furnished. The breakfast was plentiful and served directly in the gallery café/restaurant, a lovingly restored house where the Steek family exhibits regional artists. Our baby was also warmly welcomed and delighted by the aquarium in the restaurant. We would love to come back!
Everything is very dated. A dusting would be nice. Overall, the atmosphere is strange. The food is okay, but the price is too high for what's offered. Sorry.
