We looked out for a nice dining in Cologne and discovered Prunier, a restaurant we known from Paris. We decided to book a table and went for dinner. The place is not far from the cathedral and is very nice. It is very small but cosy.
Their speciality is caviar. We had a nice portion as a starter. It was served with small lemon pancakes (blini’s), sour cream and chives. It was delicious.
As a main dish, my partner had a steak Rossini, with a niece piece of baked duck liver on top. I had the fresh made linguini with caviar. No words about it.
This restaurant is the place to be in Cologne.
Keine Bewertung möglich. Keine Reservierunsanfrage möglich, telefonisch geht niemand dran, Internet wird nicht beantwortet. Offenbar eine Eintracht-Frankfurt- Lokalität. Da lob ich mir andere.
This isn't a restaurant visit; this is a short trip. Please make a reservation by phone in advance.
Anyone coming here needs 3-4 hours of time and the desire to be pampered.
It's best to come with four or more people, either with a request for a specific dish for everyone or simply be surprised by the kitchen's ideas.
A menu or price list isn't necessary here. In the end, you'll leave this place with memories of a fair price for fine dining.
We requested tuna, lobster, and zabaione.
The restaurant itself is individually but tastefully decorated. There are many celebrity photos, from Roger Whittaker to John Irving.
Parking is available in the backyard.
Simply top-notch.
The service is highly professional, yet the atmosphere is very relaxed.
The dishes are works of art, simply stunning in both appearance and taste.
A pure experience!
Unfortunately, a total disappointment. Google said it was open, but it was closed. We drove the extra 25 minutes there and were happy. Then at the restaurant, no information. Annoying; we could have saved ourselves the trip.
Always happy to come back!
A village pub and restaurant in one. The value for money is hard to beat, and the owner and staff are always friendly and accommodating. They also offer special events, such as a wine tasting with accompanying courses. This is also highly recommended and relatively inexpensive. Calling in advance to make a reservation is recommended.
Dear readers, I tried Gjini's Pizza in Bad Gandersheim at its opening and found the quality to be very good. Today, in 2025, I had to try it again, and after the first bite, it was clear that time hadn't affected the quality at all.
On the contrary, it's really good. The toppings on the two pizzas I tried were fresh and had a good bite. Not dry or too thin. The dough was really good; even the crust wasn't dry. Of course, a pizza from a stone oven is always delicious, but this one, baked over an open fire in a stone oven, is a real winner.
What I like best is that this pizza is actually really filling, unlike the competition whose pizzas come on a conveyor belt and are as thin as toilet paper. The staff, and I assume the owner himself, are a very well-coordinated team, friendly and not overly pushy like a typical tactic to sell more—you know what I mean. Questions are also answered politely and clearly. The ambiance gets full marks from me because, although the shop is small, I find it very clean and well-organized, even though it had been open for a while. Some might say it's a shame there aren't any seats to eat in. Yes, there's only one table with two chairs, but this allows the concept to focus entirely on its offerings without having to worry about service. That would only compromise the quality, which I think is fantastic. If, like me, you ordered via their app—yes, they have an app where you can order and even pay—you can see how long you'll have to wait. Today was even a public holiday, and the guys were extremely busy, so naturally, things take time. Therefore, I have a request for everyone: If you have to wait a little longer, please be patient; the food is really good. I always have time when I eat or shop elsewhere because, after all, I haven't dug my last grave yet. So, four words: Go, order, eat, be happy. Thanks for reading this. Have a nice day.
We've been to Querbeet several times and have always enjoyed our visit. Unfortunately, our last visit changed everything: Our children were confronted by the staff in an extremely rude and inappropriate manner for allegedly dirtying the ping-pong table. Instead of calmly and respectfully resolving the situation with us as parents, the children were literally "made to look like pigs" in front of all the guests. This kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable to us. It's a real shame – we probably won't be coming back.
