This was the first time I ate Eritrean and Ethiopian. I thought the food was excellent. We were well advised and the service was also very good. Overall we felt very comfortable! I can only recommend it!

I recently dined at this restaurant, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The service was good - super friendly staff. The ambiance was also a highlight, with a beautifully decorated space that made the meal feel special. As for the food, it was okay but not exceptional. Some dishes lacked a bit of flavor, and I felt like they could have been more exciting. However, the great service and lovely atmosphere more than made up for it, making the evening enjoyable. All in all, a nice place for a night out, especially if you’re looking for a welcoming vibe and great hospitality!

Four of us went to Erta Ale for the first time and had a very enjoyable evening in this tastefully decorated restaurant. I found the mixed vegetarian platter (EUR 30 for two people) particularly tasty, as did the dumplings with lentil filling. Price/performance and also the nice, male service (boss?) were top. Therefore 100% recommendation.

We only slipped in because we missed the bus and it was pouring rain. Our table was covered in crumbs and the only tea available (black tea) was not tasty.

Normally I don't write so many reviews, but in this case I was annoyed. We had booked a birthday reservation for 3 adults in the Bedouin tent. But after we discovered that the table was only suitable for two people, I asked the waiter to give us a larger table. or whether it would be possible to push 2 tables together. But that wasn't possible because she said all the tables were reserved. She then gave us another table. Unfortunately it was just as big and we had very little space on the table. This was also almost directly at the entrance. I asked her again to assign us another seat, as there were other larger tables for 4 available, but apparently that wasn't possible. In the evening a couple came in with a baby and they were assigned a table of four, even though the baby was sitting on the mother's lap. Why wasn't the waitress able to give us a larger table? I have never experienced anything so inflexible. I didn't like meal number 6 either, I had the feeling it was just goulash. It was the first time I ate African food, but unfortunately I can't recommend it here at Dromedar. Sorry, never again.

Great restaurant with very, very nice staff. The food is excellent and there is also a great vegan selection. The mixed plate is highly recommended 💚

Excellent food and very friendly people who work here. The atmosphere is honestly rustic. We would love to come back.

Atmosphere was good . The fish was tasteful but not all the components were not and some how expensive.
