This was the first time I ate Eritrean and Ethiopian. I thought the food was excellent. We were well advised and the service was also very good. Overall we felt very comfortable! I can only recommend it!

The food is incredibly delicious. Was served traditionally and the taste, wonderful! You should definitely try the coffee ceremony afterwards 😊 an experience in itself 😊 it definitely wasn't for the last time 😊 The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is very familiar. The ambience is quite authentic. All in all 100 points 😊

I recently dined at this restaurant, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The service was good - super friendly staff. The ambiance was also a highlight, with a beautifully decorated space that made the meal feel special. As for the food, it was okay but not exceptional. Some dishes lacked a bit of flavor, and I felt like they could have been more exciting. However, the great service and lovely atmosphere more than made up for it, making the evening enjoyable. All in all, a nice place for a night out, especially if you’re looking for a welcoming vibe and great hospitality!

Four of us went to Erta Ale for the first time and had a very enjoyable evening in this tastefully decorated restaurant. I found the mixed vegetarian platter (EUR 30 for two people) particularly tasty, as did the dumplings with lentil filling. Price/performance and also the nice, male service (boss?) were top. Therefore 100% recommendation.

We only slipped in because we missed the bus and it was pouring rain. Our table was covered in crumbs and the only tea available (black tea) was not tasty.

I've eaten there many times with different people and both I and the others always enjoyed it. I mostly ate lamb meat, which I can only recommend, and the Dju Dju beer and cocktails are exceptional and super tasty. The portions are enough and the price is also great. 😃

“Mama Of Africa” is a real highlight for lovers of African cuisine. The restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere in which you immediately feel at home. The menu is rich in authentic African dishes, prepared with love and high-quality ingredients. Particularly noteworthy are the delicious jollof rice dishes and hearty stews. The service is exceptionally friendly and attentive, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. The prices are reasonable for the excellent quality of the food and the welcoming atmosphere.

Excellent food and very friendly people who work here. The atmosphere is honestly rustic. We would love to come back.

Atmosphere was good . The fish was tasteful but not all the components were not and some how expensive.
