We came from Essen and wanted to get something to eat for the journey home. From the outside the store looks quite inconspicuous. As soon as you enter, an incredibly delicious smell hits your nose. In the front is the very nice owner and in the background is the mother who has been preparing her homemade lahmacun for 50 years (statement of the owner). My family and I agreed that this was the tastiest lahmacun we have ever eaten. The owner also gave us a drink and something sweet for free. This warmth and the feeling that they do it with joy and passion and that you can taste it are very rare. We will definitely eat there again, even if we have to drive longer.

Today we were in Sumack for the first time. The shop has a cozy outdoor terrace on the street, but we didn't find that bad. The shop is also very nicely and comfortably furnished inside. The food was really really good and can only be recommended. Both vegetarian and delicious meat dishes (beef, lamb) from Turkish cuisine were available. We were very satisfied with both the delicious “dips” (hummus, ezme, shakschuka, and much more) and, for example, the baba ganoush. The main courses (Adana kebab, chicken or the mixed grill plate) were all deliciously seasoned, juicy and not over-fried. Price/performance was absolutely right. The service was courteous and friendly, everything came to the table hot, and drink requests were quickly implemented. All in all a very nice evening, a great meal and an absolute recommendation.

Normally this was my favorite shop on Rheinischestr but recently I went there and there was a strange employee because he has slightly longer hair and also works at the hairdresser nearby. He was very unfriendly and I said a kebab with chicken, please roast the meat and bread properly Let me come home and see all the meat raw, so raw that the meat was still red rose and the bread was soft and soggy. I took a picture of it and unfortunately had to throw it away picture I contribute I think the employees do this specifically to drive away the customers, the boss is very nice but one employee is very disrespectful. I don't recommend anyone

7 euros for a half-full kebab. They didn't even ask if I wanted veal or chicken, they just put chicken on it, even though I didn't want it. They asked me for salad, and my answer was: yes, completely. See for yourself and form your own opinion. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

The kebab doesn't go wrong. Like nimble hands in Call of Duty, it is simply a must.

It was one of the tastiest kebabs I've ever eaten and I've tried thousands of them. I hope you always make the kebab like this and not just when you're in a good mood, because then I'll come back very often and for this price it's awesome

04/12/25, from around 8 p.m.: The sea bream offered on the board in the entrance area of ​​the restaurant immediately caught our eye in large letters, but not the barely noticeable DIN A4 note on the door behind it, which was supposed to inform us that card payment was not possible. I only had 50 euros in my pocket and disaster struck when I ended up having to pay the 57 euros that had been charged and was now confronted with completely helpless and disorientated staff trying to solve the problem. Everyone seemed to agree that we should have read the notice at the entrance (which in itself is an imposition - especially since it was already dark) and none of them had a constructive suggestion to offer as to how this really embarrassing situation could be resolved. The worst thing of all was the fact that the entire team did not feel able to admit that the restaurant had to ensure that the information ("no card payment") was clearly and unambiguously conveyed to us when we ordered. I was very angry about the dispute that I then had in public with these people who really didn't show the slightest understanding that they had a debt to us given the obvious technical problems with accepting card payments. Or is that so unusual? In the end I felt guilty for the impudence of not having enough cash with me. Of course, we were the ones who sorted out the situation that same evening through appropriate routes and fund-raising campaigns. There is no trace of service or creativity when dealing with such situations. Too bad; Food was delicious. P.S. I also took photos that clearly document that you can easily overlook the note, but what the heck, life goes on😉😊🥴

A real insider tip for everyone who loves Turkish pide! In this small fast food joint, various pide variations are served - and in really exceptionally large portions. You definitely get a lot for your money here. Particularly positive: Each dish comes with two different mezes and a fresh salad - free of charge! A bottle of cola costs a fair €2, which is absolutely fine. Despite the limited seating and small space, the store impresses with great service and a friendly atmosphere. I always enjoy coming here and can highly recommend this place to everyone!

Super delicious food. Whether it's salad or meat...everything fresh and prepared on the charcoal grill...and very seasoned... We can only recommend it!

New owner. Our Lahmacun was really tasty. Note: the Lahmacun should be about 5 cm larger, otherwise it won't be enough for normal hunger.

Unfortunately, the kebab meat tasted very burnt. There was also a large raw piece of meat in the kebab! The employee blamed it on the new kebab skewer and bought me my drink. The kebab house won't see me again.
