The kebab itself was a disaster in terms of taste. The meat was dry, barely seasoned, and tasted more like old fat than freshly grilled kebab meat. The bread was soggy and not freshly baked, the sauces tasted absolutely bland, and the vegetables didn't seem crisp, but rather old and carelessly thrown in. All in all, it was neither harmonious nor tasty—in fact, it was simply difficult to eat. If you could get at least an average kebab for your money, you could say, "Okay, that happens sometimes." But as it was, it was truly the worst kebab experience I've had in a long time. My colleagues were also dissatisfied, which shows that it wasn't just a matter of personal taste. Conclusion: This was definitely my last time at Alibaba Döner. There are plenty of better alternatives in the area that place significantly more emphasis on their customers, both in terms of service and quality.

After a four-hour flight from Georgia, I went straight to Ali Baba in Aplerbeck for something to eat after arriving in Dortmund. It was my first visit there, but as soon as I entered the shop, the employees gave me strange looks – why, I still don't know. When I answered the question in Turkish about what I wanted to order, the employee's expression immediately changed – as if he had a problem with the Turkish language. I am of German-Kurdish descent and found this reaction irritating and unfriendly. I immediately felt unwelcome. Despite this impression, I decided to give it a try because I was hungry. I ordered a regular doner kebab, for which I paid a whopping €7. What I got felt like a kid's doner kebab – hardly any meat (definitely not 200g). After a few bites, the thing was gone, and I was still hungry. Conclusion: Unfriendly reception, unpleasant atmosphere, and an overpriced mini doner kebab. For me, that was a one-time thing and never again. They can keep the 7 euros – but they won't see me there again.

Well, €7 for a kebab is standard these days. But at the same time, reducing the kebab's contents by half is disrespectful to the customers. ...and the taste isn't even mediocre... That was a different league with the old owner. He knew how to make kebabs.

I've been visiting this kebab shop for 25 years now and haven't been disappointed once. Top food, always fresh, the price is fair for what you get and the people who work and have worked there have become very dear to me personally 😁😁👍🏻👍🏻 the shop was not ranked first in the city guide for nothing... always happy. The kebab is very tasty, the ingredients are fresh, and the employees are always friendly - even when the shop is full. And that's often what it is: sometimes you really need luck to get to it straight away, because the queues often stretch all the way outside. All the positive comments here are fake. I ate there for a while because the buses were always late and it was close by. I'll never tell you again that the kebab doesn't weigh 200 grams. The cheese is good, you can throw the rest in the bin. Look at the pictures posted here, the kebab is tiny, I couldn't hold the kebab with two hands at all, that's punishable. An incomparable kebab - while eating it we wondered what a fantastic meat it was. When we asked, the very friendly gentlemen at the spit explained to us that it was turkey meat - a “secret recipe” that was over 30 years old. 100% recommendation!!!

Staff friendly, in a good mood. Fast service. Price performance is good. Just a quick snack. Jumbo kebab has far too little content for €10. Unfortunately there is only turkey meat, which is very fatty. Salad very watery. Cheese is charged extra at €0.50 and could therefore be more.

One of the worst buying experiences I've ever had when buying a kebab and you can't go wrong. I ordered a normal kebab & kebab without anything (except some sauce), so just a kebab bread. I got the kebab with meat, but not the kebab without anything. So when I asked about it, expressionless eyes stared back at me and I stammered out a stupid and incomprehensible “it doesn’t work.” I would have even paid the normal price for the kebab without everything. Instead, the seller's brain crashes :D

Unfortunately it has really worn off in the last few weeks. Little meat and simply cut off the skewer too early. Roasted aromas not present. It's a real shame because it's my regular kebab where I've been for years. I'm excited to see what happens next

The best kebab in the world you should all come here

Never eaten such an expensive kebab that was so small, hardly any meat and sauce. Others offer this as a children's kebab for 3 euros, but 2 kebabs and a thirst quencher for almost 18 euros is really a number. The only consolation is that baked goods are opposite and you can get your fill there.

The lamb skewer plate that I ordered was delicious. The staff is friendly but a bit inattentive. The ambience is good for a snack. Unfortunately, like almost everywhere, prices have risen here. But overall the impression is okay.

The best kebab in Dortmund. Not many offer flatbread as a roll. Probably due to the way it is cut, the kebab is filled in such a way that you always get meat, salad and sauce together in your mouth until the last bite and not, as usual, the last bites are just meat in its own fat. The guys at the counter are always courteous and extra friendly. If a shop with around 15 dishes has still been operating for such a long time (at least 20-25 years) and is very well attended, it can only be doing something right.

Der Döner war für mich recht geschmackvoll. Die Saucen und das Fleisch war gut 👍. Sitzgelegenheiten sind ein paar vorhanden. Doch für mich machte das sitzen nicht viel Spaß. Den Döner fand ich recht klein. Und das war der mittlere. Es gibt 3 Größen.

6 Euro für nen Döner ok. Aber sich über die Leute lustig machen geht gar nicht. Und dann nur nen Krümmel an Fleisch. Sorry aber geht gar nicht

Wir hatte einen Jr Döner 4€ und eine normale Döner Tasche 6€ die beide gleich groß bzw klein waren. Für 10€ habe ich echt was anderes erwartet. Offensichtlich wurden wir über den Tisch gezogen, obwohl wir nicht das erste ma da waren, echt traurig. Aber waren jz auch garantiert das letzte ma da. Nicht zu empfehlen. Dann lieber nach PiDö gehen

Ich war jetzt schon in so einigen Dönerläden, aber Ali Baba ist der Beste. Bin dort auf Empfehlung hin, und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Geschmack der einzelenen Komponeten ist einfach klasse. Hat nur Hühnchenspieße. Perfektes Fleisch, ohne Fett. Gehe zu keinem anderen Türken mehr. Fahre dafür extra von Körne dorthin, wenn ich einen Döner essen will. Bravo Männer, weiter so. Wir sehen uns.

Abend's Mal einen schönen Döner essen mit den Freunden. Es war okay aber mehr auch nicht.

Super lecker gewürzter Hähnchen Döner im Fladenbrot. Esse den Döner ohne Soßen und achte somit um so mehr auf das Fleisch und dieser Döner schmeckt einfach unglaublich und brauch keine push Mittel.

Es gibt soviele Dönerläden in Dortmund... andere geben sich jeden Falls mehr mühe :)

Gehe seit ich in der Nähe wohne bei dem Laden zwischendurch Döner holen und have jahrelang konsistent guten Service und essen erlebt. Meine Bestellung muss ich nicht Mal mehr sagen, da es einfach "so wie immer ist". Auch das Baklava ist besonders empfehlenswert.

Wir haben Dönertaschen für die Mittagspause gekauft. Waren super Lecker der Salat war frisch und wer scharf wollte hat auch scharf bekommen 😃. Von uns 5 Sterne, wir bestellen wieder
