Furthermore, Lek’s is the best Thai restaurant in Stuttgart, if not in southern Germany. This is due to the high quality and authenticity of the food, the reasonable price/performance ratio and the warmth of the service.
The extensive selection of Isaan dishes alone is worth the visit.
The indication of spiciness should be taken seriously; If you order “Thai-spicy”, you can be prepared for something 😉
My recommendations:
Nam prik kapi (spicy dip with shrimp paste and various vegetables for dipping);
Ohm muu (Isaan-typical “curry” without coconut milk, but with dill);
Yam nüa (classic beef salad);
Bo taek (spicy clear seafood soup);
Pla ninth manao (steamed fish in chili-lime sauce);
Sai grok (Isaan-style grilled sausages);
Gaeng paa muu (“jungle” curry, very spicy, without coconut milk);
Som Tam (papaya salad, typically with pickled shrimp if desired).
I will have to admit, that the food had a slight sweet taste that I did not particularly like. Food is suppose to taste savory in my opinion. Besides that I loved the atmosphere, and the service was great!
Thank you for deleting my negative review, you know what you can think of Google reviews, namely nothing if they can simply be deleted if you don't like them.
However, my pictures of the food were kept, but that doesn't change the fact that the prices in Thai Town are absolutely exorbitant, the portions are tiny and the quality has completely deteriorated.
And now have fun faking or deleting the honest and objective reviews.
This place feels like a one time attraction, the location and setup is quite interesting and worth a visit to experience the atmosphere, but the food falls short… I wouldn’t want to eat there again based on the taste. This would’ve been a great place and a regular place if the food was on the right level
Excellent Thai restaurant in the heart of Darmstadt
The Pinto Thai Restaurant in Darmstadt absolutely convinced me. The atmosphere is cozy, the service is attentive and friendly. I was particularly thrilled that my request for wonton soup was accepted – and what a soup! Fresh, aromatic and simply fantastic. Also worth mentioning is the “jungle curry”. Simply delicious! Warning: ⚠️ It's spicy 🌶️ ⚠️
The remaining dishes were also excellent, with authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. If you like Thai food, you should definitely visit this restaurant. Clear recommendation!
The food is always good and the staff is very friendly. An order to vote is no problem. We will definitely eat there too! Always worth a recommendation!
We waited a very long time for our food; other guests who arrived after us were served and received their food first. After an hour, we finally received our food.
First of all I have to say that the food is very tasty. One star for the following reason (I hope the owners read it and learn from it):
1. It took 20 minutes before we could place the order.
2. Diet Coke was ordered, normal Coke was needed.
3. An appetizer would be forgotten.
4. One main course came half an hour earlier than the other two.
5. The forgotten starter came with the second main course.
6. The second main course was on the table, only 10 minutes later a plate and rice were brought after request.
7. The third main course came with the rice and the plates so that we could finally eat.
8. We wanted to take the food we couldn't manage with us. Three times someone came to the table to ask what number we ordered. I don't think we took our food home.
9. Regarding the ambience, I have to say that the TV on the wall is just distracting.
The evening had nothing of coziness about it, it was a complete mess. Absolutely terrible.
Note: if I increase prices, I will also have a new menu printed. Prices pasted over seem amateurish and this was unfortunately reflected in the staff.
Super friendly and delicious Thai around the corner. Yes, the seating may be a bit cramped, but that doesn't detract from the great food and the atmosphere.
Great friendly service, lots of selection and absolutely reasonable prices.
Best Thai restaurant in Giessen,
fresh, authentic and very tasty!
ps: My recommendation for people who like it "spicy" -> Thai spicy (you get what you order;)
