9Chan in Landstuhl

We've been to Chan and his team many times. The food was always delicious, just like in Thailand. That's what it's like when your mother cooks.

Our preferred thai food restaurant in the Landstuhl/Ramstein area.

The food was good just needed more seasons and I only got 6 shrimp in my noodles. And as expensive as the food was I expected more. But I will come back to try something different.

Took 40 minutes to just get our food, then had to get it to go. People that came after us and were getting online orders got food before us.

Had a taro bubble tea and some soup. The tea was a little bland. Whatever. But whoever made the soup needs to live their happiest life. It was really good. I wasn't even hungry, but I couldn't stop eating it! It was a soup with Black broth, crispy chicken, and a pork dumpling. Amazing 🗣

Authentic Thai restaurant, which is also run by Thais. Dishes are authentic. and taste great. The menu is very attractively designed (also with pictures). Prices are sometimes a bit difficult in view of the portion sizes, which could be a little larger, especially when picked up.

This food was good! I really had low expectations because I had been disappointed earlier this week when a Thai restaurant. We went in an hour before closing. Customer service was awesome and food still came out piping hot!

The BEST Thai food in the KMC. I literally eat here everyday. My go to is Khao Man Gai - healthy macros for all my bodybuilding folks. The thai pancake and mango sticky rice always hits the spot when I'm feeling a sweet tooth. The thai tea is very good. (Ask to try with coconut milk). It's a family owned business and the staff are the nicest people. It always feels welcoming and like a family. Thank you 9Chan for the great food and hospitality!

Slow service but great food! R1 fried duck is the best!

Fundamentally solid but not outstanding in any way. Medium portion size and rather moderate meat content. In my opinion, price/performance ratio is “okay”. But you can do it sometimes.

So far this has been my favorite Thai place in town.

A favorite to eat at when I’m in the area! Best thai food I have tried yet in Germany. Love their thai tea, pad thai, and yellow curry. Parking is street parking, or there is lots of parking behind the town hall across the street. They take card and cash, speak great english and german, and it’s always easy to order to go over the phone if we are not dining in.

Delicious food!! Variety of dishes, proteins, etc. The restaurant is smaller, so recommend reservations or ordering takeout.

I’ve been to Thailand and for Thai food in Germany this establishment is worth the try. It’s difficult finding a restaurant in Germany where the entire menu isn’t bland. 9chan is as close to Thailand that anyone in Landstuhl will ever get. It’s family owned and when I see a granny in the kitchen cooking, I know the food will be well worth it. It’s a small establishment and honestly pretty busy every time I visit. They offer to-go or pick up orders, which for Americans it’s a big plus. They take CC or cash and speak English. They’re constantly friendly and cater to anyone regardless of background. And they’re open on Sundays. It’s a win-win either way if stuck in the little town of Landstuhl.

Solid Thai place, good pad Thai, a little lacking on peanut flavor. Quite pricey and they request a tip :/

The food is always hot and flavorful. It is a headache trying to find a park. Overall 5 stars for the delicious food!

This is my third review although I have eaten here a half dozen times. While I downgraded my last review to a four, it probably could have earned a five. This time, I will stick to my first rating of a five as the food is simply wonderful and the portions are perfect. My friend and I started out with an appetizer of spare ribs. These were very good. I went with the Kirw Warn curry. This was a spicy Thai curry with vegetables and herbs served with jasmine rice. I ordered mine with chicken. My work colleague ordered the drunken noodles with chicken. The waitress was very courtesy and kept checking up on us. If you like Thai, you will like 9Chan.

Small portions with high prices. Food was not good; just spent three weeks in Thailand and this wasn't even close! Wife is Thai so we do know what good Thai food should taste like. Ordered sticky rice, it looked like it was a recycle from another customer; it was a quarter of the size of what we receive at other restaurants. One of our dishes had a round piece of plastic the size of a dime in it...they said it was from one of the sauce container.s We always take our Thai leftovers home...but left them at the restaurant this time. To their credit, they did remove the "plastic" dish from the final bill.

The food and service is great. I only gave a lower rating for atmosphere because it is really crowded. However it is still one pf our favorites.

My favorite Thai restaurant in the area! I love spicy food so I get the green curry or the red curry. I also get the fried rice or pad see ew with extra spice. They have delicious drinks. I love the lemonades and the Thai tea. Also the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Service is usually pretty fast. If you come at lunch time, order off their lunch menu for a cheaper/smaller portion.

I had a really good lunch in this restaurant, food was actually really good, service was nice as well, fast and efficient. Downside is the parking, it took forever for me to find a parking, there is no parking for the restaurant and most of the public parking are full.

My daughter and I had dinner here last night for the first time and really loved it. We shared 3 appetizers. We really liked the summer rolls. They would have been perfect with just a few more fresh herbs. The chicken satay was actually perfect. It was perfectly seasoned, juicy and the dipping sauce was great. We didn’t care for the crispy rice balls but we just wanted to try something new. I had the Tom Kha Kai soup and it was a 10/10. I’m super picky about my Tom Kha and theirs was flawless. It had a perfect balance of citrus and spice. My daughter had the duck pad thai. The duck was a little so my guess is she would probably get it with chicken next time. We realize everything is cooked to order and we will definitely give the pad Thai another try next time. It’s such a relief to find my go-to Thai restaurant.

Best Thai cuisine in the KMC area that we’ve tried thus far! Service and food is great, but a bit pricey… Ingredients and taste is very authentic. And this is coming from someone who frequents Thailand often, as my wife is Thai 🙂

Had the Hagao, Gyoza, and Shrimp Pad Thai, all of which were really good. It wasn't the BEST Thai food, but I've had a lot of great places over the years. The service was excellent though, and probably the quickest I've ever gotten my good! Definitely worth a stop!

Nice restaurant with authentic Thai specialties. Price and performance are good. Food was prepared and served quickly. In any case recommended. Would love to come back

If a restaurant is going to put a picture of the food on the menu then they should put it on the real dish as well. I ordered take out and did not get my boiled egg. And be prepared to be disappointed if u order something and don’t get exactly what you are expecting.

We had the yellow curry and beef with oyster sauce. Both were delicious!very friendly staff as well. Definitely will come back!

Schönes kleines Restaurant mit typisch thailändischen Gerichten, grosse Auswahl. Alles frisch zubereitet und von freundlichem Personal serviert. Alles in allem ein nettes Restaurant für ein gemütliches, leckeres Essen.

Food well cooked and the flavors come out from Asia. Good for having a no formal meal with friends.

I was not impressed when I tried this place a couple of years ago. But I kept hearing how good it is now and had to give it a try again. And for for sure it did not disappoint. We had the green Thai tea and berry lemonade for drinks. You can tell they were made with passion and care. The only downside is the paper straws I think they have to use. For appetizers we had the chicken skewers and chicken summer rolls, the sauces that accompanied them was amazing, we had to ask for more. Our main courses was the beef nam tok, which was very refreshing. We also had the Panang Curry with duck. The duck could’ve used a little bit of crisp but other than that the flavors was on point.

Quick service and delicious Thai menu. I’ll be going back.

Great food! We tried the different noodle soups with spicy broth. They also have many flavors of bubble tea.

Eigentlich eines unserer liebsten Restaurants und unser absoluter take away favorite, aber in den letzten Wochen oder Monaten gehen die Wartezeiten einfach nicht mehr. Jedes Mal mindestens 30 Minuten länger als angegeben bei Abholung. Auf das Essen zum dort essen wartet man teilweise über 2 Stunden, das ist schlicht und einfach eine Frechheit. Vier Sterne gibt's trotzdem, weil das Essen durchweg überragend ist. Ich hoffe, die Dauer ändert sich schnell wieder, denn, wenn sich an den Zeiten nichts ändern, werden wir dort leider nicht mehr bestellen. Update....es hat sich glücklicherweise sehr schnell geändert und seitdem ist wieder alles perfekt!

Essen ist in Ordnung aber könnte etwas Geschmacksintensiver sein. Tolle Auswahl an Vorspeisen. Trotz wenig Besuchern an einem Freitagabend war die Bedingung leider eher unmotiviert uns zu bedienen.

Kann ich wirklich jedem empfehlen der lust auf original Thai-Gerichte hat! Es ist super lecker und das Restaurant ist wirklich schön und gemütlich, man kann sowohl draußen als auch drinnen sitzen. Bei größeren Gruppe ist eine Vorreservierung zu empfehlen! Die Mitarbeiter sind super freundlich und aufmerksam, wir kommen definitiv wieder! 🥰

Got the sate and veggie spring rolls as an appetizer. Sate was amazing, would have been a 10/10 if the sauce bowl was easier to dip in. Spring rolls were very standard, super tasty. Got the Thai tea with boba and would not recommend it. The boba was not the right texture and the Thai tea tasted like it was missing something. The 9Chan noodle soup was DELICIOUS. Highly recommend the spicy broth and a must get are the wontons in it.

Fried rice with tofu was delicious. My picky eater ate the egg noodles .

Food was good/authentic and the different milk teas and Thai teas were great. What detracted from the experience though was the number of flies in the restaurant because the front door was wide open the whole time. Not exactly an enjoyable experience when you're constantly batting flies away from your food.

Das Essen war authentisch und sehr lecker. Zu empfehlen ist auch der hauseigene Bubbletee. Das Restaurant könnte von innen etwas aufgewertet werden. Man sitzt etwas beengt zwischen Laufkundschaft

The food wasn't really good, the vegetables were not fresh, the duck had a bad texture, like gum, with a lot of bones. The Tofu Laab had a good general taste, but the wasn't good, it tasted stranger and the texture was poor. The card payment was not available. We won't repeat.

We had the 9chan Noodle Soup and Thai Curry. Spring Rolls as Starter, Strawberry Lemonade and Thai Iced Tea as Drinks. Everything was just amazingly good and tasty. Even the service was perfectly fine. It was our first visit but definitely not our last! Highly recommended if you like Thai food.

Absolut authentisches Thai-Food!

Updated: We went again and the fried rice was bland. The Tom yum was good although very small portion. We ordered the pad Thai, crispy fried noodles, and whole tilapia fried fish and it was all delicious. Very flavorful food with spice and seasonings that doesn’t taste like dulled down flavors. The coconut milk tea is deliciously creamy! The service is attentive and friendly. There is a large free parking lot across the street.

Love coming here and how they take care of you if your meal is messed up! One of my favorite restaurants in all of Landstuhl!

Ein wirklich sehr schönes thailändisches Restaurant. Sehr schönes Ambiente und besonders freundliches Personal. Das Restaurant ist zwar nicht so groß, trotzdem schön eingerichtet. Die Bedienungen sind sehr freundlich und man wird schnell bedient. Das Essen ist auch sehr gut, wobei man sich wirklich nicht beschweren kann. Es ist wirklich einen Besuch wert. Sehr empfehlenswert!

I brought a group of colleagues here as I love Thai and this is some of the best Thai food in Germany. I always ask for hot, but I specifically state not Thai hot. I realize it is tough to differentiate; however, my meal was incredibly hot and brought tears to my eyes. I pushed through because I asked for hot. My steamed dumplings appetizer was perfect. My friend ordered a chicken dish and he loved it. He also got an interesting lemonade drink while I opted for Chardonnay. Still great food and great service!

Esse dort regelmäßig und wurde bis jetzt nie enttäuscht! Die Küche und der Service machen jedes Mal einen tollen Job. Freue mich schon im Sommer meinen leckeren Thai Tea im Außenbereich zu genießen.👍

I was so excited to finally be returning to Landstuhl for a TDY in the aftermath of COVID. I was hoping this Thai place survived the lockdown. I honestly think this place serves better Thai than the half dozen or so I have tried in the Stuttgart area. The food is that good, that authentic, and that spicy. If you ask for Thai hot, they will give it to you so be prepared. I dined here with a colleague and he too was impressed. He has been to Thailand several times and found the food to be fantastic. He went with the traditional Pad Thai with chicken and loved every bite of it. I opted for the Panaeng curry with chicken and asked that it be prepared just shy of Thai spicy. My goodness, they nailed it as any hotter and I might not be able to handle it. The service was also wonderful. I enjoyed a delicious glass of Thai ice tea with my meal. This place needs to move up in the ratings for the Landstuhl restaurants. Give this place a try and become a believer!
