The best sushi I have ever eaten in my life! I've been ordering exclusively from this sushi shop for a year - and for good reason. Although there are many better-known sushi restaurants in the city, this one is clearly the best for me. The fish, especially the salmon, is always super fresh, the delivery is on time and the sushi is simply incredibly tasty – really, really, really tasty! For a year now, no other sushi shop has been an option for me.

A cozy restaurant with a decent selection of Japanese food. At the beginning you can choose whether you want to eat buffet or framed. The buffet costs €19.90 at lunchtime. Drinks are charged extra. Ordering is done via a tablet. You can choose a maximum of 5 different dishes per round. 10 rounds are possible. The portions are served in typical Japanese style in porcelain bowls. You can choose from sushi, vegetables, fish and poultry, prepared in typical Japanese style. The service was friendly. Since the portions are traditionally served in small bowls, the food is no longer hot, which didn't bother me personally. Unfortunately there was only a “selection” of baked bananas for dessert. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit to the restaurant.

The visit to Okinii in Essen was an experience in the truest sense of the word. When we arrived and went to our table, we immediately noticed the generally poor condition of the restaurant. The bench seats were badly worn and in one place the foam was sticking out of the seams. Arriving at our table, we immediately noticed that our seats were covered in crumbs. The grooves on the left and right were also filled with crumbs. When the neighboring table was cleared after the guests had left, the leftover food was simply left under the table. The ambience and music were more reminiscent of a cocktail bar than an Asian restaurant. Then the first order came: 16 of 20 dishes were brought. When we asked where the remaining four were, we were told that we hadn't ordered them - even though we had even taken screenshots of the order. Instead of simply handing over the missing dishes at an all you can eat event, there was a discussion first. The food itself was delicious, you can't complain about that. But we lost our appetite as we watched the table next door receive a small bowl of noodles. Apparently a noodle had fallen onto the tray. But instead of disposing of the noodle in the kitchen and cleaning the tray, they picked it up with their fingernails and put it back in the bowl - at the guests' table!! This reflected the overall impression of the place. We lost our appetite. When we were home and the ordering page's browser windows were still open, we watched as the next guests at our former table added their orders to the shopping cart. We were also able to continue to fill the shopping cart - even with paid food and drinks. This is a serious security problem in your system! Price/performance is not right here. For the price you expect not only good food, but also a clean restaurant. We don't eat there anymore and can't recommend it to anyone.
