Update: Unfortunately, the quality has declined significantly lately. It's drier and there's less vegetable content. Therefore, one star deducted. Very tasty, fast, and friendly service! Real vegetables, not just bean sprouts in the rice, and beautifully presented! Every time I've ordered from here, the food has still been piping hot.

We were here yesterday, and overall the food and service were quite alright. I just have two major complaints: After we finished our meal, our table wasn't wiped down when we ordered dessert. The dessert was simply placed on the dirty table. I find that completely unacceptable, especially since the restaurant has a rather "fancy" feel. The second point is even worse. We found a hair in our ice cream. That's a real turn-off. When I mentioned it to the waitress, she offered to bring us a new ice cream. Since we didn't like the ice cream anyway, we declined. She then offered to reduce the price a bit. The "funny" thing is that we ended up paying the full price. I find that quite outrageous, especially since she offered to reduce the price. For the money we spent there, it was rather disappointing.

Great food, a wide selection, and all in all, a fair price. Friendly and very personable staff. We would definitely eat here again.

Terrible customer service. We ordered for a specific time. An hour later, the food still hadn't arrived. They couldn't be reached by phone. Luckily, we paid with PayPal and will be getting our money back!

For the third time, my Fruity Asia dish still had peel on the rather unripe mango, and the rice was burnt. The other dishes are also now very dry and barely have any sauce. We probably won't be ordering from here again.

We've always been very satisfied with the food at Dui Sushi, but now we have to say that the price-performance ratio is no longer right. The portions seem to be getting smaller with each order, while the price remains the same or increases. Furthermore, dishes like "Fruity Asia" no longer include shrimp or chicken, but the price has remained the same, although the cost of goods has dropped significantly. If you want to add these as an option, the price is truly outrageous. Price increases/inflation notwithstanding. It should also be mentioned that the online shop is no longer user-friendly, and placing an order has become very complicated. The quality of the food is still very good, but the accompanying items are no longer up to scratch.

Absolutely the best, tastiest, freshest sushi anywhere! And so many different, delicious variations on offer! Always friendly staff when we pick up our food. 5 stars!

We had a truly delicious meal. The sushi was very, very good and beautifully presented—a feast for the eyes, too. The chicken teriyaki was also perfect. The service was unobtrusive, super friendly, and quick. We're absolutely thrilled and will definitely be back.

A very pleasant sushi experience with a delicious three-course menu. The dishes were freshly prepared, beautifully presented, and tastefully balanced. A particularly positive aspect: there was no long wait, and the service was attentive and friendly. If you want to enjoy classic sushi in a relaxed atmosphere, this is the place to be.

Such delicious sushi with such tender fish needs to be searched for 🤌🏻 and we found them. Salads and everything we were fed here was very tasty and fresh. The atmosphere is pleasant, traditional. Everything is very neat and clean. I recommend it! Thank you to the staff for their hospitality and professionalism. 🙏❤️ We will come back again and again. ☺️

If it takes 100 minutes to deliver, you shouldn't offer delivery

It was the worst miso soup I've ever tasted. The gyoza were bland, and only the sushi was okay.

Rating: 1 star This was by far the worst meal I've ever ordered. It was soggy with fat, tasted absolutely disgusting, and was inedible. The meat was tough, the vegetables overcooked, and everything tasted of old oil. No bite, no flavor—just a greasy disaster. It had to go straight in the trash. A complete waste of money!

Yesterday we ordered sushi for two people for over €70. The price was okay at first. When we got home we unwrapped the sushi and it looked normal, nothing special. I have to say that the taste was a complete disappointment. Everything was missing and the rolls were SO HUGE that even the four pieces could have made at least eight. You had to share it again to be able to eat it. This was the third time we've ordered from this shop and unfortunately this will be our last. The first two times were much better. There was simply too much rice. This has nothing to do with sushi!

I always loved ordering from DUI. However, the place has unfortunately declined dramatically. The sushi is neither fresh nor was the breaded sushi warm. I'm very disappointed because I really liked the place. And this isn't a review of one order, but of several. But at some point, it's just enough. They've also become more expensive. Unfortunately, I've lost a long-time customer.

Unfortunately, the order was incomplete. A voucher was promised over the phone, but it never arrived. Poor service...

For me, this is the best sushi shop in Essen in terms of price/performance. A few months ago, the quality dropped a bit for a short period, but for the past few weeks, it's been back to a top rating with a star. Great shop!

Ok wow!!!!! Before Dui Sushi, we only ate in shops like MuKii or Yumini (All you Can eat) until we decided to try out a pure sushi shop. Ambiance: We ate on site and were not disappointed. The shop is very inconspicuous and relatively small, but so warm, clean and cozy that you immediately feel at home. Service: 1A-10/10. Our waiter was so incredibly friendly. Often asked how we were doing. He mastered his work with great aplomb. Now about the food: Wow wow wow - it was sooooo good. What was ordered: Housemade IceTea Mango 10/10 Matcha Iced Tea - 10/10 Perfect amount, not too sweet, super tasty and refreshing! We ordered edamame as a starter and got 2 salads with it. Also a taste experience, perfectly seasoned, beautifully presented ♡ Sushi - super delicious, everything was just right. It was so flavorful that we hadn't eaten sushi like that before. It was beautifully served on a "bridge" - great! Warm dishes - rice with King Prawns in vegetables - also just wow. Fried noodles vegetarian - The best noodles - not greasy, perfect mix of fresh crunchy vegetables. Huge portion! For dessert we shared mochi, which was also very tasty. Absolutely recommended!

My order yesterday was a total failure: Food came much later than announced Food was cold Tempura like rubber, breading not even remotely crispy Fried noodles with chicken: Chicken for an additional 2.90, I found exactly 4 pieces in my extensive search Sweet chilli sauce: only half full, and unfortunately just extremely hot and inedible. Spring rolls are also anything but crispy! I didn't try Duck Dui again after yesterday's failure. There are travel costs and the dishes themselves are quite expensive. I definitely won't be ordering there again.

I only discovered Dui Sushi last week and have already been there twice. Both times it was absolutely delicious! The bowls and rolls were a 10/10, just top. The service is particularly great. Friendliness and humor are present during the visit. Unfortunately there was no more takoyaki :(

Mega nice modern restaurant with a great ambience. The dishes are very creatively prepared, delicious and absolutely freshly made. Ultra attentive service. We had a Groupon voucher, the process went completely smoothly, thank you again. Mini mini criticism points: It was very cold, several other guests also had their jackets on. The rooms may not be any different, but the coziness suffers greatly as a result. There was also a huge dog with long fur lying next to our table! That would be a reason for us not to go to a restaurant. Dogs don't belong in official restaurants, it's unhygienic. However, these two points of criticism are still no reason for us not to come back ✌🏻😊🍱🍣😋

So far I've always been very satisfied, but the last two orders only came after almost an hour and the food was cold and more than greasy. Today when I ordered because my wife and I are actually fans of dui, I was simply served hard noodles. Great at that point and when I called there because I didn't want to do a Google review at first, I just wanted to tell Dui Hey, so today wasn't good, they said cash on delivery please. I named this one and it came up, we all know their last names and they weren't there, the food would have come back 3 times and they would have called 4 times, I mean hello, I live on the ground floor with a direct view of the door, who do you want now kidding. We also ordered via Lieferando. Do you really believe that Dui goes to the same address 3 times? Never again so if in my opinion you want to order bad service, cold greasy food, have fun with dui you've come to the right place.

Had to wait over an hour and a half to eat and it was almost cold and there was a hair in my food. I paid 37.50 for 3 pasta which is too expensive in my opinion

We ordered online from Dui Sushi: The food came very quickly (under 45 minutes). The breaded shrimp and sushi were still relatively warm. Next time I would only order sushi that is eaten cold. Everything tasted good and was recommended.

Unfortunately, the quality of delivery/collection has fluctuated greatly recently.

It was quite a nice experience, the service was top-notch and the food was really amazing. The atmosphere and the restaurant also looked quite chill and ngl it was quite the vibe. The sushi there tastes better than a lot of places that I've been to before. They also let me try their japanese mayonnaise, and it tasted quite good. I am really satisfied overall. I would definitely give it another visit, but next time, it would be me and my friends.

In general everything is ok. The salmon was fresh every time and I have ordered there several times. Sushi needs a bit of improvement as it is falling apart. Wasabi standard. Nothing to do with wasabi and dark. Cheap goods. Ginger is unfortunately inedible and tastes like dried old ginger. That should definitely be changed. Still, at least you don't have to worry about getting food poisoning. I still prefer to order here because the quality is always the same.

I have tested many sushi restaurants in the Ruhr area. I came here by chance and was completely amazed. I love sushi with unagi and this was definitely the best I've ever eaten. Considering the fair price you have to give 5 stars. The staff is very attentive, hospitable and recommended the tested Unagi variant to me. The atmosphere is very pleasant. Smaller but very modern design. I felt very comfortable and will take the hour drive to enjoy it again.
