Food, ambience and staff wonderful.

The restaurant is located just outside between Mühlheim and Essen rural surroundings. From the country road that runs past, you turn off to the lower-lying restaurant with plenty of parking spaces. You can eat both outside and inside. Outside, the tables are under large parasols, which is of course pleasant in summer. Due to the lower location and surrounding trees, it is pleasant to sit outside even at higher temperatures. The food itself is ordered as “All You Can Eat” with general conditions. Instead of an “analog menu”, each table receives a tablet for selection and ordering. Up to 10 items from the menu's starters, main courses or desserts can be ordered at the same time. After sending, a timer starts, after which the next order is possible. The ordered dishes are each freshly prepared and brought to the table one by one. This leads to a calm and relaxed process, which is pleasantly different from self-service "all you can eat" buffets where the food may be left for a long time. Of course, drinks can be ordered at any time regardless of the “10 position timer” rule. The atmosphere is pleasant, the service is friendly and attentive, so you can spend a lovely evening here. The food itself is very good and contains quite a few surprises, beyond what is generally known in this area. For example, I have developed a preference for Japanese pancakes 😋. The sashimi salad is also something very special. Everyone can discover their own favorites 😉.

Delicious sushi, the selection could be a bit larger and I also think it's a shame that you had to pay extra for sauces and certain sushi. The very friendly staff was positive. Each dish was brought to you in a friendly manner and explained again what it was. I've had to experience this much more impersonally in other All you can eat. Overall, a successful evening! I recommend the yuzu lemonade - very refreshing and delicious!

The employees are very friendly, you can express clear wishes and, if possible, they will be fulfilled. You can also come by without prior reservation, but it is safer to reserve in advance. You will be asked whether you have been there before, if not, the system with the tablet will be explained to you before you order. The system is clear and should be easy to understand for anyone who can use a smartphone. You can order every 15 minutes. I was there with one person, so together we were able to add 10 items to the "shopping cart" per order. Drinks are not added to an order. So you can still order 10 dishes and 2 drinks without any problem. Drinks cost extra. I had to pay €5 for a 0.5l beer. The drinks are not cheap at all. You can order from All-You-Can-Eat every 15 minutes for 2 hours. Even if the food hasn't arrived yet but 15 minutes have passed since the last order, you can still order the next round. If you don't manage to eat something, you have to expect a contractual penalty. This is small, but it is added for every dish that was not eaten. It's easy to misjudge, the portions are small but when you're full, it's better to stop. The food is delicious, but for me personally the selection was quite small. You can pay there with a credit card. The menu even offers the option of dividing the buzzers, but I haven't tested this function and whether or not it can be adjusted further.

The food was delicious. Unfortunately, our table and the floor in the shop and also in the toilet were greasy and therefore not nice to look at. The guest's fingerprints were previously visible on the table. When asked, the table was then wiped. The staff seemed rather listless.

The restaurant is very well located. You can easily reach it by car. The staff is a very good host. Friendly and not too intrusive, but always there for the guest. The food is excellent. The sushi is good, but I recommend taking a look at the dishes from Tepangrill, because the chefs know their craft and get every last bit out of the already good products, making it a dream. It's worth a trip just for the grill. An All You Can Eat with tablet is offered. You can order 10 rounds of 5 dishes per person. Always worth a visit. Thank you for the successful evening.

You can eat well here. Ordering is only possible via iPad, which takes some getting used to at first. But the second course was easy to order.

The service was nice, the orders came quickly and the electronics worked perfectly. Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ends. The food wasn't particularly seasoned, some dishes were simply prepared from a can and the chicken on the yakitori skewer was still raw inside. Efforts have been made to create the ambience, unfortunately the street next to the restaurant doesn't help. Unfortunately we won't be coming back, even though we had really high hopes.

All you can eat sushi and grill comes quickly to the table via tablet order. Sushi and grill were very tasty. The selection was sufficient. Only the atmosphere could be a little fancier but otherwise everything was great.

You quickly get to grips with the digital system and the food is good. - a drawback is that the entrance and exit are difficult to see; when leaving, you cannot see the traffic coming on the left because of the greenery. People like to drive quickly here. But otherwise one 😎 thing 👍

As always, a feast for the palate

A visit to this restaurant is really highly recommended. The food is excellent and impresses with its quality and taste. Particularly noteworthy are the fresh ingredients and the careful preparation of the dishes. Every dish is a delight for the palate and leaves nothing to be desired. The service, however, could be improved a little. The concept of the restaurant is that orders are placed via a tablet. This has the advantage that you can make your choice in peace and without being rushed. However, this means that there is no personal contact with the service staff, which often makes you feel particularly welcome as a guest. Even if you have specific questions or requests, it is sometimes more difficult to get help quickly and easily because you cannot turn to someone immediately. Nevertheless, the tablet system also has its advantages: orders are forwarded directly to the kitchen, which speeds up the process and means that waiting times are relatively short. The tablet also offers a clear display of the menu, often supplemented by images of the dishes, which makes the decision easier. Overall, the positive aspects clearly outweigh the negatives. Anyone who attaches great importance to excellent food and can cope with the digital ordering system will get their money's worth here. However, for those who prefer a little more personal service, it might be a bit of an adjustment. Nevertheless, the restaurant remains a clear recommendation due to its culinary quality.

We ate very well and we were there at a good time. Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. Sushi 🍣 🍣 🍣 🍣 was ​​really good and the ordering system was great and worked well. I can recommend it. Have fun there. We will be back.

Delicious food. Service was friendly. Food arrived promptly, even though the store was full. What we just didn't understand is why sauces take up a place in the order and then cost extra. And a 0.7L water bottle for €7.30 is just very expensive. Too expensive.

Very very very good service great

The restaurant has very tasty food and although you can still see that it was a different type of restaurant there before, the ambience is good and you feel comfortable. The prices for the drinks are also moderate. The only thing that bothered me personally was that not all deserts could be selected on the tablet and we only found out about the ice by chance.

We have been customers there for many years, from the beginning, when there was still a buffet. We were very disappointed today. The chopsticks were dirty and the table had glass edges. There was a hair on/in the beef, the tuna tasted fishy and musty, wakame were half raw and not salted. The selection was reduced again and the price increased again. Service was ok; we have never experienced it so bad there - and that cost us €85 for two people with four drinks. It's a shame, we really enjoyed being there with friends and companies, I wouldn't recommend it after today.

The meal was okay. Service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere is a bit loud and uncomfortable. All you can eat for €32 is ok, but if you don't eat much then it's too expensive. Drinks prices are decent.

Quite nice for an all u can eat restaurant. The food tastes good, but not much effort is put into eating it. The service isn't really accommodating either, there's hardly any contact due to the ordering process via the tablet, but at least it's friendly. The atmosphere is more reminiscent of an old hotel.

2022: Flat rate sushi Asian dishes: Saturday evening. Ordering with a tablet worked very well. Every 15 minutes a new round with 5 dishes per person. The selection of dishes was comparable to other restaurants. The cleanliness and friendliness were significantly better than in comparable restaurants in Düsseldorf. Service was really top! Sushi was also very good. I'm generally not a fan of the warm dishes. But what we had was also good. The audience was pleasant. 2024 Addendum: Unfortunately the nigiri have deteriorated. The ratio of fish and rice is no longer as good as usual. Everything else as always, friendly and good, but not so good anymore.

Super all-you-can-eat principle with tablets. Only the restaurant can get very loud when it's a little fuller, because of the open design everything echoes a little. But the food and sushi are great!

As we all know, taste varies. Unfortunately for us it's not a choice compared to other sushi restaurants. The food was okay but not as positive as many people pointed out. Parking spaces are sufficient but that is not an argument for a restaurant. Ambiance is mediocre from the perspective of tradition and shop design. Friendliness and service depends on the person. Anyone who likes it and tastes it is in good hands here. Unfortunately there is no alternative for us.

Super friendly staff and the food is also super tasty. You should make a reservation for weekend evenings during rush hour, but you can easily do this via the website. I always enjoy going here and am always happy to recommend it to others 👍

Highly recommended - the location and ambience are very nice with plenty of private parking spaces. The food is very fresh and tastes really good. The staff is very attentive and friendly. It should be particularly emphasized that fried dishes such as chicken are not inferior in taste to sushi (unfortunately, in similar restaurants, I often found that these dishes are often quite fatty and taste the same). The selection of dishes is perhaps a little more slimmed down than in the restaurant chains with the same concept, but the sushi is more delicately seasoned. The service is friendly and quick. While other restaurants are fighting for their existence during the pandemic, Sakura in Essen is fully booked almost every evening. Hopefully it stays that way ;-)

Almost my favorite Asian. Ordering via tablets with multiple passes. Especially recommended outside in summer. Food very tasty. Offering less whole dishes.

It's quite nice. If you like sushi, it's definitely good, but there's still room for improvement when it comes to the warm dishes. There were nine of us with 2 tablets on the table. The dishes were very mixed up, often just put there and you were allowed to guess what it was. Often only lukewarm. Then you order rice and it is then put in front of you - without the side dishes - what can you say about that? My edit is: If so, then only with a maximum of four. Maybe that works better. Then another note: We only found out by chance that ice cream was included. Should be incorporated into this tablet card.

Both as a couple and with a family, the food and the ambience were very good. Price is ok considering the seemingly high quality food. Ordering with a tablet works reliably and relieves stress for both waiters and guests. Gladly again!

Very tasty food with a variety from octopus balls to lamb skewers. I would recommend it to anyone who likes Japanese food. Ambiance could do with a bit of updating.

Gutes Essen in gemütlicher Atmosphäre

Unterm Strich finde ich das Essen sehr lecker, der Service ist gut, hier und da gibt es mal Probleme mit den Tablets. Aber ein absoluter Minuspunkt ist das Ambiente! Es ist usselig, keine Musik und vor allem A**** kalt!!!! Das ist auf jeden Fall ein Grund zur kälteren Jahreszeit dort nicht hin zu gehen! Nicht empfehlenswert

Wir gehen öfter ins Sakura und wurden bisher nie enttäuscht. Die Lebensmittel haben eine gute Qualität und alles wird frisch zubereitet. Schmecken tut es natürlich auch 😁. Die Wartezeiten waren gestern (Samstag) etwas höher, da es relativ voll war, was meiner Meinung nach aber zu verschmerzen ist. Das Personal ist immer bemüht und sehr freundlich. Der einzige Kritikpunkt ist meiner Meinung nach das Ambiente. Hier merkt man, das vorher ein Grieche das Lokal geführt hat. Der Versuch etwas Asiatisch zu wirken, ging hier meiner Meinung nach nicht ganz auf. Hier wäre eine Umgestaltung mal angebracht. Aber das ist nur ein kleiner Kritikpunkt, da der Rest stimmt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Das Ambiente ist in Ordnung, alles ist sauber. Ausreichend Parkplätze sind vorhanden. Die Speisen sind lecker, leider fehlen teilweise Gewürze, der scharfe Oktopus war zb kein bisschen scharf, auch die Fleischspieße und Stücke sind kaum gewürzt und nur sehr leicht angebraten. Der Fisch war dagegen sehr gut gewürzt. Das Sushi ist in Ordnung, der Reis ist trocken. Das Sushi wird nicht nach Bestellung gefertigt, sondern ist vorbereitet, daher kommt es schnell an den Tisch. Es gibt eine große Auswahl an verschiedenen Speisen, darunter Fisch, Fleisch, Muscheln (diese waren besonders lecker), Reis- und Nudelgerichte und Sushi. Die einzelnen Portionsgrößen sind eher klein gehalten, somit kann man verschiedene Speisen probieren, oder das Lieblingsgericht einfach mehrfach bestellen. Besonders positiv ist mir aufgefallen, dass das Restaurant darauf achtet, dass nicht zu viel bestellt wird und kein Essen weggeworfen wird. Es wird darum gebeten nur so viel zu bestellen, was auch aufgegessen wird, ansonsten wird ein Aufschlag berechnet für die weggeworfenen Speisen. Ein Limit an Bestellungen gibt es nicht, man kann alle 15 Minuten 5 Gerichte bestellen. Satt wird man auf jeden Fall.

Waren schon häufiger hier essen und sind immer zufrieden gewesen. Leider hat die Qualität nachgelassen, vieles schmeckt einfach nicht… Desserts Auswahl lässt zu wünschen übrig. Für den Preis einfach zu teuer.

Waren das erste mal im Sakura und waren enttäuscht vom Essen. Wir haben querbeet aus der Karte bestellt, das meiste war ohne großen Geschmack und wenn etwas drauf war handelte es sich um die gleiche dunkle Soße, weshalb vieles einfach gleich schmeckte. Sehr schade. Der Service war okay - nett aber nicht sehr professionell. Für uns wird es bei diesem einen Besuch bleiben.

Das Essen ist sehr zu empfehlen. Es gibt eine große Auswahl an Sushi und an anderen warmen und kalten Speisen. Man wählt die Speisen über ein Tablet aus. Es kommen dann immer kleine Portionen. Wie man es in einem Sushi Restaurant kennt. Das Ambiente könnte gemütlicher sein.

Super Ambiente, man kann auch bei Sonnenschein mit Hund super schön draußen Essen, mitten im Grünen…. Sushi vom allerfeinsten, man kann soviel Essen bis man platzt, dazu gibt es a’la Card, witzig, jeder Gast bekommt 4 x 4 Portionen an Köstlichkeiten die man sich selbst aussuchen kann…. Ob vegetarisch, Shrimps Variationen oder Fleisch Spezialitäten. Nachtisch gibt es natürlich auch soviel ihr könnt, Super Qualität kann ich von Herzen empfehlen 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Super leckeres Sushi. Tolle Bestellmöglichkeit. Es gibt auch anderes Essen, das gegrillt und warm an den Tisch kommt. Für Sushi Liebhaber ein sehr gutes Restaurant.

Ich habe schon einige All you can eat besucht, dieses war leider nur gut. Bestellte Gerichte kamen sehr spät, oder nach mehrfacher Nachfrage. Einige Gerichte waren nur gedünstet nicht gebraten ,z.B. Lammkotlett. Der Service war echt schnell.

Ganz tolles ruhiges Plätzchen, ideal für gutes Essen in Zweisamkeit mit schöner Atmosphäre.

Nicht frische Ware dem Geschmack nach

Absolutes NoGo!! Hab noch nie so schlechte Sushi gegessen. Reis schmeckt nach Gummi. Auf Sushi Rollen und auf gebratene Hähnchenstreifen waren die Haare zu finden. Teilweise schmecken Inside-Out Rollen alt und waren ungenießbar. Auf Fisch für Inside-Out Rollen wird richtig gespart und es sieht richtig arm aus. Wakame Salat fast vereist und ausgetrocknet oben. Menukarte ist richtig klein. Kein vernünftiges Dessert, wie man bei Sushiläden kennt - zwei Sachen aus Teig und einzige Dessert, muss man extra zahlen. Sonst kein Eis, kein Kuchen und nichts süßes. Dafür der Preis genau so hoch wie in gute „all you can eat“ Restaurants in NRW. Spiesgarnelen haben den Abend gerettet und für den Laden 1 Stern verdient. Sonst ingesamt wir waren sehr enttäuscht.

Wir saßen nur etwas ungünstig, aber das soll dem Ganzen keinen Abbruch tun. Wir durften sogar länger sitzen bleiben, was wir aufgrund der Natur des Treffens sehr genossen haben.

Prinzipiell lecker, leider gibt es eine gewisse Unstetigkeit beim Essen. Manchmal ist es wirklich top und alles auf der Karte schmeckt, aber manchmal ist der Sushireis nicht perfekt, oder die Garpunkte nicht so gut getroffen, oder das Tempura mega fettig. Aber das sind eher so einzelne Ausrutscher.

Wir haben hier am Anfang April 2023 zu dritt an einem Freitag Abend gegessen. Eine Reservierung über die Webseite des Restaurants ist auf jeden Fall notwendig, weil das Restaurant sehr gut besucht ist. Ich selbst war von der Beschreibung über die Form der Darreichung der Speisen auf der Webseite etwas verwirrt. Daher möchte ich es hier einmal kurz erklären. Das Konzept ist eine Kombination aus All-you-can-eat - Buffet und Bedienung am Tisch. Das bedeutet, dass man über das Tablet am Tisch frei auswählen kann, was man essen oder trinken möchte (wie beim Buffet) und dies einem dann vom Bedienpersonal an den Tisch gebracht wird. Dabei sind die Portionen klein und man kann vieles verschiedenes Probieren. Einige Gerichte sind nicht mit im A-y-c-e - Preis inbegriffen, diese sind allerdings durch den ausgeschriebenen Preis gekennzeichnet. Die Bedienung des Tablets, sowie das Bedienkonzept und das A-y-c-e - Konzept werden einem werden einem, sobald man an den Tisch gebracht wurde, sehr ausführlich vom Personal erklärt. So bleibt man ohne Fragen zurück und kann sich ganz aufs Essen konzentrieren. Das Essen hat uns gut geschmeckt. Qualitativ bei den angebotenen Preisen durchaus noch hoch, geschmacklich allerdings keine Sensation. Das muss es aber auch nicht sein, schließlich sind die Preise hier sehr moderat und man braucht kein Sterne Niveau erwarten. Die Gerichte sind Lecker und man fühlt sich wohl. Und das ist, was bei so einem Restaurant zählt. Zuletzt möchte ich noch etwas zum Ambiente sagen. Dieses hat und wicht wirklich überzeugt. Es wirkte, wie ein spanisches, italienisches oder generell mediterranes Restaurant, welches man mit ein paar Lampions mit Schriftzeichen darauf und sehr wenig Deko versucht hat auf sparsamste Art und Weise irgendwie etwas asiatisch aussehen zu lassen. Das hat unserer Meinung nicht wirklich funktioniert und wirkte sehr provisorisch. Sehr schade, wenn man bedenkt, wie lange es das Restaurant hier schon gibt. Allerdings waren wir, wie gesagt, am Anfang April 2023 hier und am Ambiente und der Dekoration kann sich mittlerweile etwas geändert haben. Alles in Allem hat uns der Besuch aber doch überzeugt, wir haben vor wiederzukommen und haben das Restaurant auch bereits weiterempfohlen.

Bei schönem Wetter mit 4 Personen im Garten gesessen. Im Vergleich zu dem Mitbewerber in der Essener Innenstadt eine echte Empfehlung. Hier ist der Service besser, das Essen kommt wie bestellt und die Qualität ist mindestens genau so gut.

Sakura ist seit etlichen Jahren unser Lieblings-Restaurant hier in der Gegend. Das Essen ist immer top und die Auswahl ist sehr groß. Sushi-Freunde kommen hier auf jeden Fall auf ihre Kosten, aber auch der Rest ist lecker. Hier sollte jeder was für seinen Geschmack finden. Essen und Getränke per Tablet zu bestellen finde ich großartig. Auch der Service ist gut, das Team ist immer nett und höflich. Preislich ist Sakura eher im höheren Mittelfeld angesiedelt, Preis/Leistung stimmen aber absolut! Parkplätze gibt es direkt vor der Tür in mehr als ausreichender Menge.

Wir, 2 Erwachsene und zwei Kinder (6&12) gehen dort sehr gerne essen. Die Auswahl und die Qualität der Speisen ist super. Wir schaffen nur ca. 2,5 Runden von 4, essen aber auch kein Fleisch. Die Kinder lieben die Hähnchen Spieße. Das Sushi ist top, Kimchi perfekt, Gemüse Tempura und besonders der Lachs in Teryiaki Sauce ist zu empfehlen. Service ist auch Top. Außengelände ist ein bisschen in die Haare gekommen und die Einrichtung ist ausreichend. Das wichtigste ist Top, Service und Essen.

Wir kommen regelmäßig zum Essen und sind jedes mal begeistert. Es gibt sehr gutes Sushi und die gegrillte Ente sowie die Gyoza schmecken besonders gut. Das Personal ist stets freundlich!!

Sehr leckeres Sushi all you can eat. Bestellen geht ganz einfach mit dem Tablet im runden Prinzip. Der Service immer nett und zuvorkommend. Gehen dort immer wieder gerne hin.

Ein nettes Sushilokal in schöner Gegend und netten Ambiente. Das Sushi ist durchschnittlich gut und wird über ein Tablet bestellt. Das Personal ist freundlich und bemüht. Die Preise sind für Sushi angemessen.

Leckeres Essen und gutes Bestellkonzept. Die einzelnen Runden wurden schnell gebracht und es war alles heiß und frisch, trotz vollem Restaurant. Der Service war super nett und schnell. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Wir waren heute zum 1 mal dort und nicht das letzte mal. Essen war sehr lecker, heiss und frisch. Der Service freundlich und schnell. Das einzige wir finden die Getränkepreise schon saftig.

Wir sind ohne Reservierung einfach eingefallen und haben ohne Probleme einen Tisch bekommen.... Nachher war es richtig voll, daher Glück gehabt Da es unser erstes mal hier war, wurde uns alles bestens und ausführlich erklärt, sehr sehr nett erklärt. Man kennt allgemein das Konzept mit dem tablet, aber wir freuten uns auf die Auswahl und wurden positiv überrascht. Einige Menüs waren identisch mit anderen Restaurants, Klassiker halt, aber auch einige neue Sachen für uns zumindest. Alles durch die Bank weg war sehr schmackhaft und lecker. Wir kommen in jedem Fall wieder und können das jedem empfehlen. Service war sehr schnell, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Preis Leistung stimmt, je nachdem wieviel man essen kann 😜 denn 28,90 pro Person ist nicht wenig aber auch für diese Qualität nicht zu viel. Für jeden etwas dabei. Ambiente ist in Ordnung, hell, freundlich.... Aber insgesamt etwas zu laut,bei vollem Betrieb verständlich und hat uns nicht vom leckeren Essen abgehalten.

Wer Sushi mag ist hier Gold richtig. Wer es nicht mag, so wie ich, kommt auch auf seine Kosten. Hier gibt es tolle Fleisch und Gemüse Häppchen, frisch vom Grill, asiatisch pikant oder normal lecker. Man bestellt übers Tablet und das Gewünschte kommt schnell an den Tisch. Der Service ist super nett 👍

Sehr gutes Essen, sehr nettes Personal. Man bestellt einfach an einem Tablet nach und nach mehrere Gänge. So kann man viele Sachen probieren. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Update: Wir waren gestern wieder im Sakura essen. Es war mal wieder sehr lecker, Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir werden wieder kommen.
