Noori Sushi Restaurant in Essen

We give one star because you can't give zero. We haven't eaten so badly in a long time. From our point of view, sushi has nothing to do with sushi. Lots of rice, strange mush as a filling and a hint of fish. The salmon didn't taste like anything and I spat out the duck. Disgusting wobbly mass. The staff spoke mostly German and was very unfriendly. The audience an experience. Downtown level. I could write more... Plus the incredibly outrageous price of €32 per person for this shit... Pity about the fish, the evening, the money. We're definitely never coming back

I arrived very early at noon on Saturday. Maybe because it was still early, the flow of customers was not very large, so it was convenient for me to eat slowly. The boss has a very nice attitude and will also ask how the dishes taste. My favorites are salmon sushi, yakitori, fried shrimp, and matcha and mango flavored ice cream! The boss also gave me a cup of milk tea, which was stockings flavored. Come again next time!

Unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. The service was unfriendly, the delivery wasn't on time, and the food wasn't what we expected. What was particularly disturbing was the rude manner of the staff, which further worsened the overall impression. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this service.

I went here 2 times I wanted to give them a second try but the service is 0. I had to ask 5 time because they kept forgetting our food. They brought the dessert with no spoon or fork and therefore we had to ask 3 times and the kept forgetting to bring us spoon for dessert. Will not come to this restaurant again because there are many who cares about their guests ….

Delicious food and nice restaurant.

Unfortunately I can't understand the very good reviews. The service is quick when it comes to clearing away and also very friendly. The quality of the food is just average. The ideas are creative but not well implemented. Spices (e.g. salt) are missing and sometimes ordered components are forgotten. I've eaten much better for the price. Approximately €37.50 with one drink per person. It really is better. There is still room for improvement.

The food was of high quality, especially the sushi range is at the top. Unfortunately, fresh fruit is not offered at all and the selection is manageable and small. On our second visit we noticed again that the service wasn't keeping up. In itself a great idea with all you can eat and ordering via tablet However, the implementation is lacking! It doesn't help much if 3-4 dishes out of 10 are missing per round. PS: the coconut balls here are terrific. Conclusion: a solid 6 out of 10

Were there for the first time. We had a nice table for two. Food was delicious, everything we ordered arrived. Nothing was forgotten. The portions were very good. After round 4 it was over and we left the restaurant more than full and satisfied. Price-performance fits.

Great sushi restaurant. Everything was super tasty. With all you can eat via tablet, large selection of warm dishes too. The waitresses are quick and very nice. Food comes quickly.

I ordered a surprise box yesterday. And was surprised in the truest sense of the word!!! But in the worst negative way!!! Not throwing away food plays a big role in the concept, which is why as a seller you shouldn't sell "food that is about to be thrown away" at a higher price than if you buy it fresh somewhere. My situation: I bought a surprise box. There was only a small amount of sushi in there and nothing else. And when I say low, I'm actually understating it!!! The sushi didn't taste good at all, let alone look!!! They didn't even make an effort. A 6 year old child could have done better. Never again!!!!!

Because of the pretty good reviews, we decided to eat here. Overall, the experience can be summed up as an absolute disaster and disappointment. Local: approx. 50% occupied. 1. Service was subpar. The first service spoke very little German - no problem in itself - but the friendliness was completely neglected. Two waitresses (two young ladies) simply didn't speak to you at all and instead slammed the food on the table without saying a word. 2. Food overall was also rather below average. The order (à la carte) took a long time until everything was there and the wrong dishes arrived. Fillet of beef completely through (shoe sole), dry the duck. The sushi was mixed, nothing special and no highlight in terms of taste. I absolutely cannot understand the good reviews - I would never go here again.

We were here 3-4 times already. It is one of the best places in Essen. The price for all you can eat is great. We had many dishes and they were all delicious: sushi, miso soup, kimchi, fried sweet potato, fried banana. The fish was also very good. We got: salmon, pangasius and butterfish. The restaurant is clean and well organised. The atmosphere is very pleasant. There is beautiful music. The people who work there are always kind, helpful and respectful and welcome everyone with a smile. The menu is on a tablet and everyone can order on multiple rounds. For each round there are up to 16 dishes. Always excited to go there. Definetely recommended!

Today we visited the Japanese restaurant Noori Sushi as a family. I chose this restaurant based on the good reviews, but unfortunately it didn't live up to the expectations the reviews had raised. It seemed to us as if the reviews might have been written by people we knew about the restaurant. First about the atmosphere: upon entering the restaurant was dirty and not well decorated; the decor was not attractive. However, as we were very hungry, we stayed and ordered via the iPads at the table. The wait for the first round - five dishes per person - was 30 minutes, and each subsequent round also lasted 30 to 40 minutes. The staff, especially our waiter, were very friendly, but the waiting time was just too long. About the food itself: The quality was disappointing. The meat was dry and the sushi wasn't particularly tasty. The quality left a lot to be desired compared to other restaurants, such as Sakura in Essen. In addition, only half of the dishes ordered came and the rest were forgotten. Overall, we were disappointed and would not recommend Noori Sushi.

We go here roughly once a year, give or take, with a company outing because the concept works quite nicely for larger groups. The food is pretty decent, but I find it rather impressive that they consistently bring drinks orders to the wrong tables despite the fact that you order via an ipad linked to your table. Once would not be worth mentioning, but every time we eat here, about half the table ends up with seemingly random drinks. Now, you might think "ah, but they're a large group, maybe they just accidentally drinking each other's stuff", but no, having checked the bill afterwards there were multiple drinks nobody seemed to have ordered, as well as ordered drinks nobody ever received. Really weird.

I am always amazed by this all-you-can-eat restaurant! The food is simply great here and the staff is super nice. she is happy to give recommendations and make you feel welcome. So far all the employees have been nice and helpful. The mango sauce tastes incredibly delicious here, especially on the sushi! All orders have always arrived on time and in excellent quality. The price-performance ratio is also good, which is why I come here often. A small downer, however, is that the toilet has not yet been renovated and the smell can be a bit annoying. I hope this gets fixed soon because despite everything, the meal was worth it to me! 😂 Definitely recommended!

Food good but only to order! The service was miserable. First, no waiter came for a long time, the drinks came after the meal, the noodles were forgotten and when asked, they acted as if they hadn't been forgotten but just needed longer (everything else had long since been there and eaten...). The waiter withheld €10 in change without saying a word and then the waiter actively ignored us and he disappeared into the kitchen. Impudence!

Unfortunately disappointing. Not all of the dishes from the 1st round were there yet, the dishes from the 2nd round were already there. Edamame and soup were only lukewarm, some of the sushi fell apart, twice we had small pieces of wood from the bamboo mats on our plates, some of the food wasn't as shown in the pictures, the service was stressed and rather unfriendly, the atmosphere was uncomfortable and then over 30 per person.

Felt comfortable as an anime fan. And the food was great too. The mango ebi roll was fantastic. 🤤

A very clear recommendation for the food. Very nice staff, great food, absolutely great value for money. In my opinion, something needs to be done to the look, the restaurant has its own charm, yes, but it looks very cobbled together / improvised. Nevertheless, we'll be happy come again for the food and the nice people.

It was my first time there and I was thrilled because the food came quickly, tasted fantastic and looked excellent. The staff were nice and friendly. The price is also very good so it's just fantastic and I recommend it to everyone.

Amietente loveless to worn out. Toilet dirty and mostly broken or locked. The Eastern European waitress couldn't or didn't want to talk to us, and she couldn't even manage a smile. The drinks we ordered only came after the second request. Now about the sushi: we have never eaten such bad sushi. We really lost our appetite. We will never visit this restaurant again!

Very tasty, we actually only managed 3 rounds and were absolutely full. The only thing I personally didn't like was the squid. Everything else was very delicious. The gyoza were great.

Good evening, I feel compelled to share my anger here. My wife placed a sushi order with a bubble tea on August 3rd, 24 at around 7:40-50 p.m. We called at 11:07 p.m. to ask what to do with it The order was there with the statement that it was supposedly delivered although nothing was received and they would send another delivery person who would be there in 20 minutes. After another 40 minutes (11:47 p.m.) the statement was that the kitchen was closed. So I will never order anything here again and will not recommend the store to anyone.

My first review of the Noori was 6 years ago with 5 stars and that without any ifs or buts. Had dinner there again today and was looking forward to the usual, delicious food. Puppy cake! We come in (table reserved in advance), total chaos, tables are being pushed around wildly, we are assigned to one of them. The air in the shop was stuffy and hot, but the air conditioning ran without much effect. Soon afterwards I asked the service to switch on another air conditioning system, this was done, but the other one simply went out. Our table was dirty from the previous guest, we were given no cutlery, germ tablet, no soy sauce or napkins, only after asking twice, unfortunately communication was also difficult, with a waitress who barely spoke and was barely able to speak German. The food was next: The items ordered either didn't arrive at all or arrived far too late in one of the subsequent rounds. Some of the food was not what was shown or expected. A lot of things tasted stale, the soup was cold, the banana wheat could have been dishwater. Unfortunately, it was hardly possible to complain about the quality or service; we would probably have failed to communicate. It was exciting that the waitress offered a 10% discount when we asked for the owner - the oven was completely off for us. In addition, you pay €33 per person... We won't be eating here again, maybe never again. It was miserable today, unfortunately...

Cool concept well implemented, unfortunately the waiting times for the food to arrive are quite long. You can order every 10 minutes and sometimes you wait 15-20 minutes until it is served. Ambience is quite nice.

It was my first time at Noori, a small shop with a good concept, value for money is great, the food and cocktails are mostly really tasty! Ordering is done via a tablet, 5 dishes can be ordered in 10 rounds... The food is very good and ordering via tablet works well. The service is nice. The restaurant itself is quite simply furnished. Parking spaces are available nearby but are quite expensive. Lunchtime meals cost €20, which is reasonable for the price. We'd love to come back.

I have been a recurring guest at Noori for years because I have never seen any other Japanese all-you-can-eat including sushi in Essen or the surrounding area that prepares the food so deliciously and freshly. Unfortunately, the menu for the lunch buffet has been shortened a lot over the years, but I still enjoy going there.

Not much choice and the ambience isn't very nice either, but the concept and the food are great and the rounds are definitely enough for people who eat a LOT.

I feel very comfortable in the atmosphere, the service is warm and the food is top. For me, the best sushi restaurant in town.

For a lunchtime AYCE, I'm really impressed with Noori. For €20, the sushi selection is more limited compared to other restaurants, but Noori impresses with a quality that other restaurants cannot match. The gyoza and takoyaki in particular were a delight. A highlight is the bubble tea, which can be ordered and tastes very refreshing and delicious.

My first contact with Japanese cuisine was very positive. Ordering via iPad was very innovative. The selection is extensive, even if I didn't always understand what was behind the individual terms. My expert support and the very friendly service closed the gaps in knowledge. The food came to the table freshly prepared in small, manageable portions in just a few minutes. The system is designed so that you can order 5 dishes at a time and then the next 5 dishes after 10 minutes at the earliest. So we had enough time and it was a relaxing evening. The service was very attentive. The price for the “all you can eat” evening is m.m.n. appropriate. There is therefore nothing to prevent you from visiting again.

Were back after a long time. Food is still very good, staff very friendly. We have remodeled something, it now looks significantly brighter, very pleasant.

I have had mixed feedback on this from my circle and have avoided it so far. We recently ordered here and I was very pleasantly surprised. The delivery was quick, the employee was very nice. The food was fresh, tasty and the price-performance ratio was really great. I would be happy to come by on site and will definitely order again.

Das Essen ist wirklich gut und vielfältig, leider lassen Ambiente und Service zu wünschen übrig.

Alles frisch und immer wieder sehr, sehr lecker :-) Leider auch immer mal wieder hohe Wartezeiten und das Durcheinanderbringen oder Fehlen von bestellten Speisen. Reservierte Tische sind mehrmals dann doch nicht reserviert gewesen.... Das wirklich schmackhafte Essen macht das wieder wett ;-). Das Ambiente ist nicht so sehr gemütlich, aber okay. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Wir saßen an einem Tisch direkt an der Treppe nach unten zu den Toiletten. leider wehte ständig ein übler Geruch nach Abwasser zu uns herüber, was zum Essen natürlich nicht so toll war. Da sollte noch einmal nachgebessert werden. Ansonsten tolles Essen und guter Service.

Ich kenne Noori schon länger und habe öfter dort gegessen. Ich bin jedes mal begeistert vom Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Man bekommt hier sehr gute Portionen für sein Geld. Auch der Service ist super nett und geht auf alle Wünsche ein. Ich kann Noori wirklich empfehlen.

Das Lokal lässt immer mehr nach. Im gesamten Essbereich riecht es nach Toilette, wahrscheinlich da die Toiletten in einem desolaten Zustand sind. Da die Toilette abgeschlossen war, musste der Sushi-Koch (!) sie auf Gästewunsch aufschließen. Die Toilette ist halt ein Aushängeschild für Gastronomie: "Geh in die Toilette und du weißt, wie die Küche aussieht!" Gerade, wo mit rohem Fisch gearbeitet wird, bin ich skeptisch, ob ich hier noch einmal Gast bin. Schade!

Eine entspannte Atmosphäre mit unfassbar guter Auswahl an Essen. Ich besuche dieses Restaurant sehr oft und jedesmal bin ich wieder aufs Neue begeistert. Nicht nur das Sushi ist total lecker, sondern auch die restliche Auswahl. Das Personal ist immer locker und freundlich. Ich liebe es dort zu essen und empfehle es jeder Person weiter!!!
