Very nice place, kind people and an excellent cook. It was the best food I had in the Ostfildern area. I highly recommend it.

Update: It's closed again. Not open this year. This time because of illness. I think you want a nice place to live in the countryside and not work. People give the Sternlesberg so that Echterdingen can have a Waldheim that is open again! If you read the many 1-star reviews and the answers from Sternlesberg, you immediately know that an unfriendly, primitive wind is blowing here. It's been being renovated for ages. It is not and will not be finished. It's finally open again - two days a week for a few hours! You just have to offer a fair wage, then you'll get employees. Since there's plenty of sales to be made here, that shouldn't be a problem if you're not stingy.

Village pub with good food and friendly innkeepers - highly recommended!

Classic Swabian dishes, with good quality ingredients, cooked by hand. But even apart from Swabian classics, there are always sophisticated, delicious dishes. Great wines, of artisanal and often organic origin.

From start to finish I felt very welcome, well served and delicious food in the “Alte Kelter” restaurant. The menu provides many highlights and as soon as the glass was empty, the thoughtful and friendly staff was there. A really great address for all fans of German, regional cuisine.

Small Swabian restaurant! With excellent cuisine! Unfortunately only cash payment. Sometimes a bit annoying when the store is full and you haven't made a reservation.

Unfortunately I have to make a negative comment here, but I think this is justified. My schnitzel was very good, but the pepper sauce I ordered with it….no expression. That was everything except pepper sauce. It was closer to a weak chili con carne. I wonder what a chef thinks about his own “pepper sauce”? The side salad also left a few things to be desired. Unfortunately I have to say...that's it for me with this restaurant. I don't want to spend money on something like that on my plate. Everything was arranged carelessly and minimalistically...everything was simply thrown on the plate, no lemon with the schnitzel, etc. I'm willing to pay more for quality, but this was a flop. If you like the food and don't know anything else, you should eat there. Update: The innkeeper claims that Balkan pepper sauce was on the menu. Wrong...it said sweet pepper sauce. What I got was a slush without any peppery spiciness. Red beans (azuki beans or kidney beans) in the Balkan pepper sauce….I don't believe it. Azuki beans come from Southeast Asia, kidney beans from Africa and America. Not from the Balkans and not from Neckarhausen!!! Beans and peas are legumes and not vegetables…..corn is grain….and therefore not a vegetable pepper sauce……what do you call that on my plate?

A very nice rustic wine bar with a great outdoor terrace. You can eat very good traditional as well as Spanish tappas there.

I recently ate here and absolutely loved it! The schnitzel was very tasty, I especially liked the crust. The service was extremely friendly, attentive and quick. I would definitely recommend it and will definitely come back!

Always worth a visit! Excellent food and family atmosphere. Excellent roast with board spaetzle!
