We went hiking It's a nice inn with delicious food. Very good cuisine, lovely hosts and very friendly staff. The room was very nice. We felt very comfortable and the two nights we booked turned into four.

Cozy little restaurant with good food. Only the way customers are treated, especially by the boss, is not acceptable! When paying, a total of 3 different EC cards were rejected (“connection aborted”), so it was definitely not a customer problem. The “problem” was dealt with by the boss with the words “but my card works”. We also ordered dishes from the lunch menu. Instead of €9.90, €14.00 was charged for a schnitzel with fries. When asked, the answer was blunt that they had ordered the normal schnitzel. Even if the service person entered it incorrectly into the system and it was an oversight, this reaction from the boss is not okay. The second dish from the lunch menu was then reduced from 12.50 to 9.80. If the boss treats customers like this, we won't be coming back!

Update: It's closed again. Not open this year. This time because of illness. I think you want a nice place to live in the countryside and not work. People give the Sternlesberg so that Echterdingen can have a Waldheim that is open again! If you read the many 1-star reviews and the answers from Sternlesberg, you immediately know that an unfriendly, primitive wind is blowing here. It's been being renovated for ages. It is not and will not be finished. It's finally open again - two days a week for a few hours! You just have to offer a fair wage, then you'll get employees. Since there's plenty of sales to be made here, that shouldn't be a problem if you're not stingy.

Einfach hervorragend! Wer sich nach der schwäbischen Küche sehnt ist hier mehr als aufgehoben. Die Salate sind frisch, die Spätzle schmecken handgeschabt und die Saucen sind mit viel Liebe und Know-How abgeschmeckt. Ich kann es nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen und kehre bei meinem nächsten Heimatbesuch wieder ein. PS: Auch für die Weihnachtstage ist das Restaurant sehr zu empfehlen.

Quaint little restaurant with a cozy atmosphere in a historic building in the great old town of Esslingen. Nice service and quick service. There is traditional Swabian cuisine extremely tasty. A really good, tasty and still a bit warm potato salad, just like it should be in Swabia. The lentils and sparrows to “lie in”.

Very friendly, nice and fast service. Our schnitzels (1x with fries/1x with fried potatoes) were really delicious. Gravy was available upon request at no extra charge. We will definitely go there again!

A very nice rustic wine bar with a great outdoor terrace. You can eat very good traditional as well as Spanish tappas there.

Great old restaurant, it's always busy, so reservations are a must. The highlight here are classics like Maultaschen and potato salad or cream schnitzel and spaetzle, a dream. A recommendation for anyone who loves Swabian cuisine.
