We celebrated our wedding including a free wedding with around 65 guests in Cap Polonio at the end of August 2024 and we would do it there again at any time! Here are a few points that we found particularly special: - Free wedding ceremony: We were able to hold the wedding ceremony directly on site, either on the terrace or in a beautiful hall. No change of location was necessary. - Photos: We went to the forest and rose garden to take photos before the wedding. This is only a few streets further and we were able to drive from there to Cap Polonio in a very relaxed manner (this is certainly particularly relevant if you want to disappear for photos every now and then). There is a large meadow with a beautiful background right in front of Cap Polonio for group photos, which is also ideal. If the weather is bad, you can also go into the hall for group photos. A good photographer will get it well lit (recommendation: DS Photo from Elmshorn). - Accessibility and accommodation: Cap Polonio is close to the motorway and the train station. Many guests stayed overnight on site, were able to celebrate for a long time and didn't have to drive anywhere. We enjoyed chatting quietly with the guests and cleaning up the next day. - The hall: The hall is fantastic! Really beautiful and hardly needs any decoration because it is so beautiful in itself. The Cap Polonio took care of everything you needed and would have also taken care of the decorations if we had wanted. We had spacious round tables, everyone had enough space and we had a large dance floor. Wedding parties of 100 people could certainly fit into the hall. And if you wanted, you could have more guests, but then you would definitely have to move to the balcony. There is a stage for performances and there is also the option of renting a screen with a projector. Our DJ then filled the hall with even more life (light and music) and then everything was really perfect! Here's also a recommendation: DJ Vossi (basically the house and yard DJ from Cap Polonio, he knows his stuff, knows the people and you can rely on him to make it work). - Food: The food was also fantastic! Deviating from the standard buffet suggestions, we opted for a completely vegetarian buffet. Cap Polonio came up with a proposal for this, which we accepted exactly because it completely overwhelmed us. The guests were blown away by the food and all the vegetarian (and flexitarian guests) were extremely excited about the fact that they could eat everything without being surprised by meat anywhere. Even the “die-hard meat eaters” were thrilled! We often heard that it was the best buffet they had ever seen. So really brilliant! Cap Polonio even managed to turn a "boring pointed cabbage" into something that people are still talking about. You have to do that first! - Drinks: You can get whatever drinks you want to offer your guests. We had the option of either paying according to consumption or choosing a flat rate. That evening we were recommended to pay according to consumption because it was cheaper for us (which was also true). It has to be said that our friends and family are not “drinkheads”. - Service: Really great! The service staff were there in the right places and almost invisible in the other right places. Everything perfect! - Price: The total bill from Cap Polonio was around €150 per guest. We find this to be very fair and not overpriced compared to what is available in the area. There were no surprises or little things. The price-performance ratio is completely right here!

Great food, fair prices and very nice service. After the Baltic Sea flood you had to completely renovate and created a really great atmosphere. All I can say is go!

I came here because of the good reviews. Went there on time at 4:30 p.m. when it opened and got a table for one person, with the notice only for an hour. No problem, it will be enough. The food (Hafertaler) was really tasty and not the usual in SPO. The ambience was also good, even if I wasn't allowed to sit directly by the window. Because I thought I had to leave after an hour, I didn't order dessert. It turned out that I could have done it easily. Since there was no guest who was intended for this table even until 6 p.m. Unfortunately, after eating I ended up stranded at some point. Unfortunately, the service didn't ask me if I wanted anything else, even though I was sitting within sight of the bar and was served at the next table. After waiting for half an hour, I had enough and paid. By the way, I had to do it at the counter because I couldn't get to the table. I have to say that since it opens at 4:30 p.m. and some guests were sent away at the beginning, there were plenty of tables unoccupied until 6 p.m. And my hour was easily exceeded. Overall, still very nice and tasty and I'll be back despite the criticism.

Hier lernt man die typische und authentische griechische Gastfreundschaft kennen. Hier kann man sagen, dass der Gast noch König ist. Man wird zügig bedient und alle sind ständig bemüht, dass es dem Gast gut geht. In der Küche wird gezaubert und es schmeckt alles köstlich. Die Portionen machen satt, aber nicht voll und das ist gut so. Gerne kommen wir immer wieder zu Georgios und sein Team.

Pre-booked a table and was greeted quickly and very friendly despite the festival of lights and the packed booth. The food was top shelf and reasonably priced. We'll definitely be back.

The place is spacious and very nice but let's say the food is worth eating but it's not that great. The service is at a minimum because the order must be made through the tablets that are made available to each customer and the payment is also made by bringing the tablets to the cash register and they only accept card payment.
