Alte Mühle in Lübeck

Very good food, very friendly service, and a great atmosphere! Anyone who wants to enjoy this must hurry, as the Alte Mühle has to close at the end of September 25 because the lease has not been renewed.

Unfortunately, the Old Mill will be closed at the end of September.

A beautifully located restaurant with a special flair. Service was very attentive, friendly, and quick. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, too. Too bad they're closing!! We had aioli and asparagus cream soup for starters, and asparagus with chicken and a tarte flambée for the main course.

It's a pity that this small restaurant will have to close soon due to the landlord's need for personal use.

We didn’t have reservations, they graciously offered us a table for six, I ordered Schlemmerspiess 🥳, and really enjoyed it , the best part was the potato’s , my friends ordered Gemuese - Flammkuchen pizza with thin crust which it could be a little thicker

The service was friendly, but unfortunately the place was a bit too cold and it was drafty. The asparagus was cooked differently. There were rods that were very hard and others that were soft. That wasn't so nice.

We really wanted to sit outside and have that beer garden feel. Even though we hadn't made a reservation, there was still a table for us. The service was attentive and very nice, the food came quickly and was very good. The tarte flambée was delicious and the pork medallions tasted very good. We would love to come back and enjoy this quaint, beautiful place for as long as possible. It's really a shame that it will end in October...

My visit to the Alte Mühle restaurant in Lübeck was simply fantastic! From the moment you walked in to the moment you left the restaurant, the service was excellent and the food was simply delicious. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very cozy and inviting, which makes the stay very pleasant. The furnishings are stylish and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The service was attentive, friendly and accommodating. Our orders were taken quickly and the food was served quickly. The menu offers a diverse selection of dishes, all freshly prepared with high quality ingredients. I chose the beef fillet with fried potatoes and vegetables and it was cooked to perfection. The meat was tender and juicy, the fried potatoes were crispy and the vegetables were fresh and aromatic. The drink selection was also great. The wine list offers a wide selection of excellent wines that go perfectly with the food. We sought advice from the attentive service and were not disappointed. All in all, my visit to the Alte Mühle restaurant was a real highlight and I can only warmly recommend it. The quality of the food, the first-class service and the cozy atmosphere make this restaurant an absolute must when you are in Lübeck. I will definitely come back!

This is a nice place - you can sit inside or outside and enjoy good food and drinks. Unfortunately the waiter who served us was so very full of bad attitude - and he brought the wrong order. The other guy who worked there was very professional, but honestly, the waiter for our outdoor section tonight was a disaster

Bedienung freundlich aber unerfahren . Grünkohl mit viel Flüssigkeit auf dem Teller, sodass die Bratkartoffeln matschig wurden. Die sollten extra serviert werden. Die Scheibe Kassler war sowas von tot gekocht und absolut trocken. Enttäuschend. Mir unbegreiflich wie man es hinbekommt Schweinefilet so zu braten , dass es hart und zäh wird. Leider entsprach der Nachtisch auch nicht den Erwartungen. Ganz schlimm find ich , dass Sprühsahne benutzt wird. Bei dem Preisniveau erwarte ich eine bessere Küche. Für mich war’s Kantinenessen.

We were spontaneously lucky and got a table. It was also our first time here and we will visit there often. A great selection of tarte flambée and other dishes. The service is exceptionally good and very nice and friendly. Unfortunately we had a small problem with the dessert, which was sorted out immediately and without complications. This is rare to find today. Big praise and the next visit is coming!

No chance without a reservation We wanted to eat here at 6 p.m. on a beautiful Thursday. 90% of the places were free, unfortunately they were all reserved and there was therefore nothing left for the 4 of us. Maybe it would be a good idea to keep a few places free for spontaneous guests and not reserve everything.

Nach Jahren wieder mal in Lübeck gewesen und wieder hier hin zum Abendessen. Wieder sehr gut. Die Flammkuchen sind alle Klasse. Gemütlich eingerichtetes Haus am Rande der Altstadt im Grünen. Schöner Biergarten. Nette Bedienung. Preis/Leistung passt. Reservierung sinnvoll. Unsere 10 köpfige Gruppe war sehr zufrieden. Bis zum nächsten mal.

Wie treffen uns regelmäßig in der Alten Mühle um unseren Mädelsabend dort zu verbringen. Im Sommer kann man auf der wunderschönen und gemütlichen Terrasse sitzen, im restlichen Jahr bietet das Restaurant Sitzplätze im Innenraum mit tollem Ambiente. Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Restaurants kann man sich prima dort unterhalten und muss sich nicht anschreien. Getränke und Speisen sind wirklich gut und preislich angemessen. Der Service ist fantastisch. Das gesamte Team ist stets aufmerksam und fröhlich. Es ist immer ein bisschen, als würde man zu Freunden kommen. Ich kann die Alte Mühle uneingeschränkt empfehlen und freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Besuch.

Flammkuchen - the Provezale - sounded good. However, the tarte flambée was far too crispy and broke apart when cut. Partly black at the edges. Eating very difficult. Not warm. Criticism wasn't of interest and I let more than half of it go back. Had to pay full price. My companion's tarte flambée was garnished with a piece of wire. Once and not again.

When the weather is good, you can sit in the garden and enjoy the delicious food and drinks. The restaurant is also nicely decorated inside. All the dishes tasted very good and there was a lot to choose from when it came to tarte flambée.

We went there twice for dinner. The spareribs are highly recommended. The potato gratin and fried potatoes are also very tasty. The large version of the chili con carne is really a decent portion. The tarte flambée is very generously topped. The outside area is really wonderful to sit in - unfortunately it's a bit dark inside.

I had dinner here with friends. It is beautifully decorated both inside and outside. The tarte flambées were delicious, good size and also well topped. I really liked the fact that you could top your tarte flambée with half of different types. The only deduction for me is the service. Even though the place wasn't full (we sat inside), we were only asked once if we wanted something more to drink in the entire 2.5 hours we were there. And that despite our glasses being empty and the waitress coming past us more often. Yes, I could have called the waitress to us specifically, but good service would actually have to keep that in mind. Nevertheless, I would like to come back and can recommend it to others with a clear conscience.

We visited Lubeck for the first time and wanted to have a delicious meal in a relaxed atmosphere away from the tourist bustle. We were very pleased! The location is very pleasant, the waiters are friendly, and the steaks were excellent! The prices are also very reasonable. I definitely recommend it. Unfortunately we didn't eat there but we took a closer look and it's a really beautiful old building! Definitely worth a little detour and judging by the other reviews, a visit for food too!

We came here by chance and Google research. The coque au vin was really a poem, everything was homemade, incredibly tasty sauce and the potato gratin was also excellent, at a reasonable price! When we're in the area again, we'll definitely stop by for dinner.

Tolles rustikales Restaurant! Der Kellner war super aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir hatten keinen Tisch reserviert, waren jedoch außerhalb der Saison. Der Garten ist super schön - bestimmt toll im Sommer dort zu sitzen - Bei uns war es doch noch zu kalt am Abend. Wir hatten zwei Salate, die Portion war mehr als ausreichend. Wir waren mit allem sehr zufrieden und kommen beim nächsten Besuch gerne wieder :) Wir empfehlen das Restaurant auf jeden Fall weiter!
