Very good food, a bit higher priced given the atmosphere, but it's definitely worth it...it's a 15-20 minute walk along the water from the old town.

We had dinner in Newport today. The Viennese veal schnitzel with the potato salad with cucumbers were very tasty! We received a very friendly welcome, were accompanied attentively and humorously throughout the evening! We feel very comfortable!

We visited the restaurant for the second time as a group of four. The atmosphere was pleasant and of course the view was great. Unfortunately, this time too, all four dishes had poor taste and all three types of meat (I had the rib-eye, my husband had the lamb and our children had breaded pieces of chicken fillet) were unfortunately of poor quality. Unfortunately the food can only be described as "bad", which was unfortunate as it was my birthday and was really in the mood for a good meal. Even the children didn't like eating their breaded chicken pieces and I can't forgive them since I tried them too. Tastes stale, tough, gray; my steak (for €64) was dry, sour and not well enough streaky for a rib-eye. The wine we chose was very good, so next time we'll probably just stop by for a drink.

Der AC Lübeck-Concordia e.V. konnte am 11.03. einen Vortrag zum 4. Heimatschutzregiment mit seinen Mitgliedern und vielen Gästen in einem separaten, bestens vorbereiteten Raum, durchführen. Der Service war hervorragend, Essen und Getränke ebenso.

Das NewPort war früher ein super tolles Restaurant. Über die Zeit hat es sich in Richtung Mainstream entwickelt. Das ist super schade, da das besondere Flair uns super gefallen hat. Das Frühstück war genial, wird aber jetzt gar nicht mehr angeboten. Die Preise sind extrem gestiegen, sodass ein Brötchen vorweg und ein Kaffee danach die Preise in die Höhe treiben. Wer ein solideres und sauberes Restaurant sucht, ist hier aber super gut bedient und man hat einen super Blick auf die Stadt.

A great Valentine's dinner! Really great salmon and beetroot tartare!! Great bavette and a super dessert! Paired with drinks from Matthias - recommendation!

The evening starts with a cocktail. The bartender initially offers us standard cocktails, but then completely convinces us with his own creations. Main course roast beef with fried potatoes. Brilliant! The meat is perfectly medium and the fried potatoes are golden brown. However, instead of the classic remoulade, we prefer the housewife style sauce. We like it even better.

I went to the kitchen party with my wife on January 11, 2025. A really great event with a great selection of tasty food and drinks. I found it particularly exciting to be able to see some of the food being prepared. Small portions also made extensive tasting possible. There was also a chocolate stand, a wine stand, a beer stand with beer brewed in Lübeck and a large selection of spirits from two distilleries. For the networking that was also planned, I found the music to be a bit loud...at least while we were eating.

This restaurant is really recommended, everything is just right there, ambience, top service and very good food, an all-round nice place for a great evening.

On January 21, 2025 we visited the Newport restaurant in Lübeck and overall we were very satisfied. The entrecôte was simply delicious, and the side dishes and fries also tasted very good. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly and attentive service of the waiters. The evening ambience was beautiful with the shimmer of the water as we sat right by the window. It was a little too cold for us, but that's probably a matter of taste and part of the cozy atmosphere. Towards the end of our stay a large group of over 20 people arrived which significantly increased the noise level. We then called it a day, but overall it was a very nice visit. Thank you for the great evening!

....we were in good hands there for the festive occasion and really enjoyed the evening. The food was very good and a pasta that had become too spicy was immediately replaced with a freshly made one - with less chili! We will definitely eat there again!

As always, a great taste experience in a wonderful ambience with a view of the old town. Very reasonable value for money for this great kitchen.

Went for New Year eve's dinner for four. Good service from our server assigned. It was packed so therefore seemed a tad chaotic when we arrived for our slot that night. Shame that there was not any live music or band to add to the festive mood.

A culinary delight in a class of its own! The New Year's Eve menu was excellent from the first bite to the last. A composition for the senses, it was the best thing ever. A heartfelt compliment to the chefs and the young team. Love is at home here, you can feel it all around. Here the owners have made a dream come true. Without an appetizer we would have left hungry. For 32 euros for a veal liver, you can have a little more and also more side dish. Our guests from HH felt the same way with their dishes.

We have been here a few times now. The food is very tasty, some dishes are actually a matter of taste and don't necessarily suit my taste, but the craftsmanship is very good. The quality of our food has always been very good.

Not even worth a star... I was with friends on our sailboat in Newport Harbor in May and all I can say is: Never again! After a great day, we were suddenly visited by the police because we were made accusations that were simply not true. It seems like employees of the adjacent restaurants complained about us. Instead of looking for a sensible solution, we were immediately confronted with an administrative offense report. The harbor master himself behaved anything but well. The behavior here is unprofessional and completely unacceptable. Among sailors, problems should be solved with words and a handshake, not with such underhanded actions. I really can't recommend this port and will never go to it again.

Very nicely located modern restaurant at the harbor with a great view. Service is great, as is the food, although it's upscale, but it's worth it. The selection of drinks, including cocktails, is very good and also price-wise, with the exception of the wine, which is noticeably overpriced.

A great restaurant with a great view over the museum harbor. Food is top class at fair prices. The children's meals in particular are lavish and very affordable. Great for an evening for two but also very suitable for families.

The Newport is absolutely worth seeing. Sitting in the glass annex is almost like sitting outside. The service is very attentive but not intrusive. A relaxed atmosphere immediately arises. The food is very good and the price-performance ratio is good to very good. What is striking is that there is an attempt throughout to give familiar dishes something new by adding new side dishes and spices. This works extremely well. Of course it's not exactly cheap. But not only in comparison to other restaurants of this quality, overall more than adequate. We have been there twice now and will definitely come back. In addition to the cool harbor atmosphere, the relaxed parking situation also contributes to this. Upate: We have been there several times and have always been thrilled.

Today for the first day of boating in the Newport Marina, I ate a delicious plaice in the restaurant and it was as delicious as always! Thanks to the friendly team, we'll always come back 🥂

Vor zwei Jahren waren wir über Licht und Schatten sehr enttäuscht, aktuell haben wir hier zweimal sehr lecker gegessen. Insbesondere waren neben dem jeweiligen "Hauptdarsteller" auf dem Teller auch die Beilagen raffiniert und sehr wohlschmeckend zubereitet. Sehr gefallen hat uns auch der emsige, ausgesprochen sympathisch lockere und kommunikative Umgangsstil des Service-Personals. Somit haben wir zwei sehr schöne sommerliche Frühabende auf der Newport-Terrasse genossen und sind froh, es nochmal versucht zu haben! Wir werden wiederkommen!

The food was good, but there was still room for improvement with the spices. Unfortunately, there were drunk people at the time who were intentionally smoking cigars. Many guests felt harassed. The service didn't intervene. Too bad. Chairs outside are very old. Floor very outside very unkempt.

Erg lekker eten, goede service ofschoon het druk was. Er was gezegd dat het lang kon duren voordat de gerechten gebracht konden worsen, keuken had het erg druk . Na 20 minuten hadden wij het voorgerecht en toen wij het aten vroeg de serveerster of ze het hoofdgerecht al door kon geven omdat ze een grote groep verwachten. Goed meegedacht vonden wij. Ons hoofdgerecht kwam 20 minuten later. Hebben ervan genoten.

Wer eine moderne Umgebung für das Abendessen sucht, ist hier absolut richtig. Und mit der angeboten Qualität des Essens hat sich das Newport den Platz unter den Toprestaurants in Lübeck wirklich verdient. Schon die Vorspeisen waren großartig: gebeizter Hamachi und getauchte Jakobsmuscheln. Beides handwerklich perfekt, überaus wohlschmeckend und wunderschön angerichtet. Gleiches gilt für die Hauptspeisen: Karree vom Iberico-Schwein und Perlhuhnbrust Supreme. Kann kaum besser gemacht werden, bravo! Auch das Newport gehört für uns zu den Restaurants, die wir gerne wieder besuchen.

Great ambience with a beautiful view of Lübeck's old town and the Untertrave. Food really well done. The service had a bad day though. As a greeting, I was greeted with the water my predecessor had just poured over my pants. I tried to take this with humor. But since we wanted to take a look at the menu before ordering a drink, we were initially ignored for 30 minutes. We were then able to get rid of our order after being explicitly reminded. We were not asked about any other requests such as a second drink, dessert or coffee after the main course. We ended the evening with a glass of wine somewhere else.

We were at the buffet in the restaurant with 30 people for several hours. Starting with the competent preliminary discussion on planning through to the celebration, we received extremely friendly advice and a very courteous welcome. We were all impressed by the very good food, the always attentive service and the maritime atmosphere on the pontoon and in the pavilion. Many thanks to the entire team! We are already looking forward to the next visit!

There were three of us for dinner and we were all very enthusiastic. Our highlight from the kitchen was the vegan watermelon tartare. My scallops would have liked to have been cooked for a little less time, but the composition of the dish was super tasty, especially with the pea cress. Vegan tagliatelle tasted great! The sorbet variation was a fine finish, especially the basil sorbet. Big compliments to the bartender. The in-house Piña Colada interpretation and the Sicilian Sour couldn't be beaten in terms of seriousness! Also a big thank you to the outstanding service team! You were super friendly, helpful and professional. We'll be back

Had dinner last night with four people. The menu has a nice selection with good variety for everyone. The food was very good and presented in a very nice way. Very tasty cocktails (I can recommend the Lemon Tai!) The location is on a harbor, which gives a nice view of various boats. Finally, the building: truly breathtaking, what a design! Highly recommended to spend an evening here. The location also seems very suitable for parties and weddings.

We were guests in the marina for two nights and took this as an opportunity to try out the attached restaurant. We had a great evening with great cocktails and very tasty food and today we tried the "Schifflein Deck Dich" service. What a brilliant idea! We were able to experience top service from a great service team. Thank you!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of getting to know NewPort for the very first time. I was booked from Rostock as a DJ for a wedding in Lübeck. Beforehand, I was able to talk to the event manager via video about the events and get to know Newport for the first time. I was warmly welcomed on site and was able to set up my equipment. Although the use of a fog machine is not approved because of the active smoke detectors, it is also possible. The staff does a very good job, the food was a dream and the location itself is mega. Thank you for letting us celebrate with you. Gladly again. Your DJ Chris Pam
