We stopped by the Schifferstübchen for coffee. The service was friendly and attentive, and the waffle with hot cherries and vanilla ice cream was also very tasty. The cappuccino, however, was rather mediocre; we've had much better. The price-performance ratio, however, is absolutely fine. The view from the terrace directly onto the Elbe is also fantastic when the weather is nice.

There were four of us, and the food was delicious. The service was very attentive, and the view of the Elbe from the terrace was beautiful, especially since the weather cooperated. A place I highly recommend.

We had the schnitzel today. 11/10 Absolutely delicious, simply wow. 3 schnitzels and one fish dish, which was also good. The young staff still needs some practice, but otherwise everyone is friendly and nice. The food arrived quickly and was hot. Prices are super fair for the good quality. (Gourmet block available). We'll be happy to come back. See you soon.

Great location in Lauenburg's old town, right on the Elbe River. The staff was super friendly, even though it was very busy. The menu offers a wide selection of fish and meat dishes, as well as vegetarian options. The food came out very quickly, the portions were truly generous, and the prices were fair. And it was delicious. We would love to come back.

A great restaurant right on the banks of the Elbe. A small, clear menu that speaks volumes about quality. Less is better. We could hear our ordered schnitzel being pounded flat by the chef. Beautifully presented plates with a small garnish to accompany the fresh mushrooms. That was a freshly tapped Störtebecker Pilsner. Everything was perfect, delicious, and plentiful. The service was also excellent. 👍👍👍 We visited the restaurant a few years ago and loved it, and it's stayed that way. Great, keep it up. 🙏 We were there again today. The pan-fried fish in mustard sauce with rösti was perfect. The rösti with quinoa avocado dip and salad was also very tasty. The staff, from the service to the kitchen, deserves high praise. Truly top-notch 🙏🙏🙏 Visited there again today, August 6, 2025, and was once again so impressed. I'd rather pay a little more but get top quality. Really good and highly recommended.

Four of us had lunch here on July 19, 2025. Everything was delicious, from the schnitzel, sauerfleisch (sauerfleisch), tarte flambée, to the incredibly delicious crispy fried plaice. The staff was friendly and quick. Highly recommended!

A truly lovely place to eat. The Italian-style fish platter was outstanding. So delicious... I've already reserved a table for tonight and tomorrow. You can't eat better than this.👍👍👍 In the evening, I had the salad plate with shrimp skewers. Also excellent. The salad dressing was amazing...🙂 The next evening, the herring with apple and onion sauce and fried potatoes was simply delicious...👍👍👍 I can really only recommend this place!

We don't visit Lauenburg often. But when we do, we always stop by the Schifferbörse. Everything is just right here! Whether you just want a quick bite or a full meal. Friendly, delicious, good beer 😄 nice atmosphere, great little outdoor terrace with a view of the Elbe. And the prices here are reasonable compared to some other locations. So: a definite recommendation!

Wir freuen und über die schöne Ausstattung, die gute Lage an der Elbe, und das wir die Aussicht aus der Schifferbörse über die Elbe genießen können. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend sowie aufmerksam. Es gibt eine umfangreiche Auswahl an Getränken, die Spritzes sind zu empfehlen, Stralsunder Bier rundete das Essen ab. Die Vorsuppen bei herbstlichen Pfingst-Temperaturen waren klasse,die Fischgerichte, der Flammkuchen als auch die Schnitzel sind zu empfehlen. Das Restaurant war sehr gut besucht, trotzdem war der Service verlässlich und freundlich. Eine Empfehlung von uns!

We were there for lunch today. Our Dalmatian-Rottweiler lady was allowed in and the first thing she was given was a bowl of water without us asking for it. Very thoughtful, thank you for that. We had the panfish and the smelt with fried potatoes and cucumber salad. The fish, as well as the fried potatoes and cucumber salad were a poem. The fried potatoes alone were at least as good as I know from my grandmother. Nice and crispy and they weren't drowned in fat. The service was very polite and attentive. All in all, we felt very comfortable and would like to recommend this restaurant without reservation.

We ordered plaice with bacon cubes and fried potatoes. Dry frozen plaice with diced ham from the pack and fatty fried potatoes. You can certainly say that you have to pay for the view of the Elbe, but almost 24 euros for the carelessly prepared meal is really too much. Here we felt like we were being ripped off. The stupid tourist already pays. The last time for us. I can't recommend it any further. The service was nice.

In the afternoon in wonderful sunshine on the terrace high above the Elbe. No designated café, instead of a large selection of cakes there are various waffle and cream puff offerings. Served quickly and tasted very good. Plus the usual warm and cold drinks. Overall, a real feeling of vacation and relaxation quickly arises. Happy to come back!

Mit wunderbarem Blick auf die Elbe, sowohl drinnen als auch draußen. Das Essen (Pannfisch mit Rosmarinkartoffeln) schmeckte hervorragend, dazu eine sehr angenehme Apfelschorle. Die Preise keineswegs überzogen.

Quaint little town with cozy streets worth seeing. Spontaneous stop in the restaurant. Food was delicious and the service was friendly. The ambience is not that eye-catching, but ok for a short visit. The windows to the terrace urgently needed water and rags.

Hier punktet natürlich auch die Lage. Bei schönem Wetter auf einer Terrasse mit Ausblick auf die Elbe ist wunderbar. Die Getränke waren schön gekühlt und das Essen nett angerichtet. Dazu schmeckte alles sehr gut und wir wurden freundlich bedient. Da kann es nur die volle Punktzahl geben.

Das Essen, Schnitzel, Bratkartoffeln und Salat sehr zu empfehlen, reichhaltig und wirklich super lecker. Besonders ist uns die Freundlichkeit des Personals aufgefallen, hilfsbereit und sehr umsichtig. Insbesondere bei älteren Menschen z. B. der Hinweis auf Stufen etc. Das Lokal sehr sauber und gemütlich, sehr gerne wieder 👍👍👍

Very nice restaurant with a great view. My companion and I really enjoyed it here. The food was quite good. I would have the schnitzel hollandaise and fried potatoes. My partner had the herring. The schnitzel was freshly prepared, as were the fried potatoes. Not the hollandaise sauce, but that's usually very difficult these days. The service was very friendly and also very attentive. But what we liked best was the ambience. Here you can sit outside on the Elbe with a great view. It is comfortably furnished and the interior design is simply beautiful. Feel free to come by here. It's definitely worth it.

We were in Lauenburg by bike and stopped there spontaneously. The small outside terrace has a great view, the service is good, the drinks and food came very quickly and very tasty. I can recommend fried herring with fried potatoes... we'll definitely stop there again.

We were thrilled, good restaurant down in the old town, with a beautifully located terrace on the Elbe. Very good quality of food and friendly service make the stay perfect. There is a paid parking lot nearby or you can park upstairs and walk down to the old town.

Due to the many good reviews, we reserved a table for 3 people 8 days in advance, including 1 with a wheelchair. We were really looking forward to the food. My wife had to walk on the cobblestones from the nearest disabled parking space. Nobody can do anything about that. But then in front of the entrance it was impossible to overcome the curb and the door threshold. Unfortunately there are no ramps there. When making the reservation we could have been told that the restaurant is not barrier-free. There are stupid answers from the landlord. The fish stinks at the head first!

The food was just great. The prices are on the higher side, but that's absolutely ok. Because the quality and service justify the prices.

Das Personal war etwas unfreundlich. Der Pannfisch zu kross gebraten und zu wenig Soße. Das Schnitzel ist in der Soße ertrunken und war deshalb nicht mehr krosch, die Bratkartoffeln waren etwas flau. Draußen konnte man nur auf harten einfachen Holzstühlen ohne Kissen sitzen.

A nice restaurant right on the Elbe in Lauenburg. You have to park up near the church. Then walk down to the Elbe. Nice walk through the old town. As always, the food was very tasty 😋.
