Were here today for the first and last time. Can't confirm the many positive reviews. After we ordered spare ribs with fries, our food was there after just 15 minutes - fresh is different. Spare ribs weren't great in terms of taste and were greasy, and the same applies to the fries. The food was absolutely not worth the money.

Sehr individuelle Bedienung. Alles sehr einfach, man muss viel Zeit und Ruhe mitbringen. 🙄

Year on year, the kitchen of the famous 'Zum Eselskrug' delivers quality dishes. Service is friendly and fast. The sunny terrace is only a few meters away from the HSB railway.

Ordered Nasin Goreng and a spring roll today. Spring roll inedible because the fat was no longer good. Nasi Goreng with sausage stretched and other ingredients you would expect, you would have to look for. Chicken was served without being asked. The meat tasted sour and smelled accordingly. The whole dish smelled weird and looked even weirder. I threw it away. 99% of the food goes in the trash. The facility also looked badly unkempt in every respect.

Einmal und nie wieder!! Ich hatte eine Gulaschsuppe sowie Rinderroulade, Rotkohl und Kartoffelstampf bestellt. Beim Servieren der Suppe schwappte ein Teil der Suppe aus der Tasse heraus, lief außen herunter und sammelte sich auf der Serviette in der Untertasse. Trotzdem wurde mir die Suppe so serviert. Die Suppe selbst schmeckte fade, hatte keinerlei Würze. Laut Speisekarte sollte die Suppe mit Baguette serviert werden, doch dieses fehlte. Da die Vorsuppe gleichzeitig mit der Hauptspeise serviert wurde, kann ich die Roulade nicht bewerten, da diese inzwischen kalt geworden war. Das ist ärgerlich, da das Restaurant stolze Preise für sein Essen aufruft.

First of all: only the afternoon snack was used - so only that was rated. Hot cocoa was delicious (made from milk - not a water/powder mix), cake was good, service was very friendly! A look at the prices on the menu revealed that some of them were quite expensive (currywurst with fries 15.50 euros!). If I imagine this for a family with several children... (we can't say anything about the quality)

Rustikales Restaurant mit externem Raucherbereich. Service in Ordnung und anfänglich zügig. Die bestellten Speisen kamen in kurzer Zeit, nicht frisch zubereitet und regelrecht auf den Teller geklatscht. Zwei Blatt Feldsalat und zwei halbe Cocktailtomaten , wohl als Garnitur gedacht, schwammen in Sosse. Nie wieder!

A very appropriate cafe at the Schirke station. While we were climbing the road, we got hungry. We dined on delicious pea soup with sausages and currywurst. We took bottles of wine from the refrigerator with us on the trip. Since there are no competitors here, it’s a must visit :)

The delivery was on time, but a 24cm pizza was delivered instead of the 28cm ordered. The employee responded to my telephone response in an extremely (!!!) unfriendly manner. Despite pictures being sent that clearly demonstrated the error, unnecessary discussions continued and in the end we simply hung up. Better order somewhere else.

Buddha House ist ein sehr gutes Restaurant. Man wird sehr freundlich und warm begrüßt. Der Service ist super und das Essen ist lecker. Sonderwünsche sind kein Problem, einfach ansprechen. Insgesamt hat der Besitzer sehr viel Spaß bei dem was er tut und das spiegelt sich auch im ganzen Betrieb wieder. Immer wieder gerne.

I was at the Brocken on Saturday morning and wanted to give them one last chance. However, shortly after 10 a.m. I was turned away in the most unfriendly manner at the kiosk at the train station. There were two employees in the kiosk, both with a beer in their hand. When asked if it was already open (the sales window was open), the answer was unfriendly: "We haven't even had breakfast yet, so should we sell something?" The last time I was a paying customer in winter (in the Göthesaal, which is more reminiscent of a canteen), dirty plates were simply wiped off with my hand and then the food was served... The schnitzel with fries was completely overpriced for the quality, it would be wasn't even worth €10. Do you actually read their Google reviews? I'm definitely not the only one with experiences like this... But what I'm actually trying to get at is that you are making maximum use of your monopoly position on the Brocken, the only thing that counts is the motto "sell cheap Fras with maximum profit" (excuse the word "cheap Fras" but in the end it is nothing else). If you had competition, you would immediately lose all your customers with this policy. As a Saxony-Hitchhiker, it's simply embarrassing when you look at the gastronomic offerings on the Brocken, it's anti-advertising for the Brocken and the entire Harz Mountains. I'm surprised that the city of Wernigerode hasn't intervened yet. But the stupid tourists come anyway. I've now given up on the likelihood of something changing in your company, but maybe miracles can still happen...

Hello, delivery took over an hour and then everything was sticky and stale, lukewarm! Let McDonald deliver it, it doesn't even work within 5 km. It is not recommended! If you ask where the food is, you can't get anyone to answer the phone! Stopping and closing is better!
