Unfortunately, the furnishings are a bit run-down, but otherwise it's recommendable.

The beer was flat... in a brewery! The food arrived quickly and was mediocre. The atmosphere... could use a good dusting. The staff were friendly enough. First and last visit. What a shame...

The appetizer was great, but the main course was very greasy. There was little choice. Prices were a bit too high, and everything was very dry. Extra ingredients cost extra.

The spare ribs were excellent. Special requests were handled well. Rustic atmosphere.

Grilling stale pretzels in a sandwich maker is an absolute no-go, and the rest is just as carelessly heated in the microwave.

Fresh and tasty, we've been there twice

We've been frequenting the brewery in recent years and really enjoy it. Unfortunately, they no longer serve food there. The food isn't freshly prepared. It seems to be pre-made; the schnitzel was like processed meat and came with Maggi sauce. The drinks, however, were excellent.

Food from frozen. On the 6th out of 8th, the food wasn't brought as ordered. Instead of a Wiener Schnitzel, they brought Zwiebelschnitzel (onion schnitzel). The fried egg was on the wrong burger, and the patties were cold. The schnitzel meat tasted like doner kebab. They charged for the incorrectly ordered food. Absolutely no service. Maybe you can go there for the drinks, but not for the food, and the service is terrible. Plus, it's expensive.

I was there two years ago. I spent the evening there with the guys, had something to eat, had a few beers, and watched football. It was the first time I'd ever seen such a large brewery. It was a great experience.

Very good food and a great atmosphere

The one point is solely for the ambiance. The frozen schnitzel was completely overpriced. I'm sure the soup was from a can. The bread seemed to be from the day before. I could go on and on... Not to mention that the greeting was incredibly rude. We were extremely disappointed.

First of all! The beer was okay. But whether the tasting platter should be served in glasses from a foreign brewery is another matter. And why is there a Diebels Alt keg in the hallway that isn't even served??? Let's get to the food. Yes, yes, if only we'd read the reviews beforehand. The farmer's breakfast was an omelet. Someone needs to learn how to turn a farmer's breakfast into something else! To make it look like a farmer's breakfast! The aspic was okay. It would have benefited from some garnish! We looked in vain for the pickle in either dish. We think they were referring to the burgers or hot dog pickles. It's good to make a dish out of several components. But hot dog pickles are no substitute for pickles in a farmer's breakfast! The price-performance ratio is the next best thing. €15.90 or €16.90 is quite a lot. The dish had to be perfect for that. Our regular brewery, Gaffels am Dom in Cologne, charges €13.80 for the brawn! And it's always perfect! The staff was friendly and accommodating. The bottom line: Drinks, yes, food, not so much.

Friends (Marcel from the ice cream parlor) from Wernigerode took us to the brewery. A DJ played that evening. (Patrick) It was a fantastic evening with superb music. The atmosphere was unique. Everyone was in a good mood. The food was averagely good. The waitress, Vivi, was very nice. We'll be back. Best wishes from Hamburg, Axel Angelina and Lino.

Unmotivated waiters, simply terrible food. It took less than five minutes for the reheated food to arrive. Even the child's pasta wasn't freshly prepared and had simply been reheated. I know and understand "Brauhaus" to mean something completely different. Never again!

**Disappointing visit – not recommended** Unfortunately, our visit to the Wernigerode Brewery didn't impress us. The menu was overloaded and lacking in focus – too many different drink categories and no clear, brewery-specific focus. Especially in a brewery, we would have expected a more thoughtful, regional selection. The food was disappointing: The schnitzel tasted like pressed, molded meat, the fried potatoes were heavily soaked in oil and not crispy. The sauce tasted like a ready-made product from a packet. The price was significantly too high for the quality – unfortunately, the value for money here is completely out of the question. We were looking forward to a rustic, authentic brewery experience, but were disappointed in several respects. It's a shame – we won't be back anytime soon.

The fries and side dishes were almost cold. The schnitzel itself was good. We couldn't understand why the place was so busy during the week we were here in Wernigerode.

Our expectations of a brewery were different. We visited the place with two adults and a child on a Sunday evening. The welcome was standard, the drinks were fairly quick, and the food arrived at the table after 10 minutes. Unfortunately, the food (schnitzel with fries) was tasteless, and the dessert we ordered (warm semolina pudding with cinnamon and sugar) wasn't warm. The overall experience was like visiting a pub or a simple pub. A unique experience!

Food is substandard. Salad dressing is sugar water. Pumpkin soup is borderline. Kaiserschmarren (smothered pancakes) is borderline. Potato salad is half-warm, half-cold. Keep your distance.

We spent five days in Wernigerode and ate there twice because it was so delicious. They had Leberkäse (a kind of meatloaf) and chicken breast fillet. The Zombie cocktail was also quite potent. I think the brewery is also popular with locals, as large groups of young people spent the evening there during the holidays. It was very pleasant.

I simply expect something different from a brewery. It felt like almost everything they fried or deep-fried was drenched in oil. Our meals were really only okay. Service: Unfortunately, there was no sign of any warmth here. When you're freezing in a restaurant and the water in the restroom is ice-cold for washing your hands, it's just not going to feel cozy.

We felt very comfortable here and were served very well and will definitely come back.

Very rude service. They were both screaming at me telling me to pay for using the toilet like I was some homeless guy. I would have paid but they didn’t take card. These guys should know better about customer’s service. I hope no one will support this place.

Three stars isn't really enough, but we've had better experiences here compared to other restaurants. The ambiance is beautiful. The food is also good—not perfect, but good. The house beer is also very good. However, for my taste, there are too many guests being served for the number of staff, so they can't keep up. So, upon arrival, you're quickly asked about your drink or food order. Both come very quickly. The food sometimes comes almost too quickly for my liking. However, after that, no one comes by for the usual "Are you okay?" or to take further drink orders. I would have liked a second or third beer, but if you have to not just wave at a waiter but practically "call" him over every time, I don't feel like it.

A good jäger schnitzel that tasted really good, the mushroom sauce was a bit heavy, but tasted fine. I had a brauhaus dunkel special beer, it was really good.

I haven't eaten this badly in a long time! Seasoned meat shouldn't be a challenge – but then you're served (quickly, too) something that tastes like a packet of sauce. Topped with cheese – voila, blast! 😡 The fried potatoes my daughter ordered were swimming in fat. 🫣 I never read reviews to form my own opinion, but I should have today! Please – change the chef and hire someone who knows what good food is!

A lovely brewery with a cozy atmosphere. The beer is good, and you'll gladly return. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the food. I can't give it more than an OK rating. The staff just stood chatting in the corner after I asked for the bill.

The ambiance is pleasant and the beer is delicious. The food arrived in less than 10 minutes: fried potatoes drenched in oil, schnitzel not freshly prepared.

We wanted a nice meal and a beer today... here's a brewery. A nicely designed restaurant, but the staff is terrible. Ordering from the menu was already too much. The drinks arrived, and it was no longer possible to order food. The staff were bored at the counter and even looked at us, frequently passing by the table, and weren't interested in taking orders. That's not how you'll keep satisfied guests... not to mention the profit. We won't be visiting the restaurant again and won't recommend it.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed on my last visit. The fries were ancient, the pretzels rubbery... my very pronounced tomato allergy was noted by the wait staff, but blatantly ignored by the kitchen. When I complained, the food was only reluctantly taken back, the tomatoes were simply removed, and the contaminated potatoes were left on the plate (with the expected medical reactions later!)

We had three schnitzels, including two onion schnitzels and one Wiener Schnitzel. All of the schnitzels had a very strange consistency, and the breading wasn't typical for a schnitzel. We couldn't identify it. The onions in the onion schnitzels were more like pointed cabbage. We've been to the brewery several times, but unfortunately, it has gotten worse every year, and we probably won't be going there again.

The waitress, the gentleman, was very nice, but the lady, well, left a lot to be desired! The food wasn't that great. The schnitzel wasn't fresh, but frozen, and the mushrooms were, I'd say, lukewarm! The food was served within about five minutes, and as we all know, you wait 15-20 minutes for a good meal.

We ate at the Brauhaus today. Unfortunately, the steakhouse fries were very greasy, and the sauce for the schnitzel was not tasty either. Furthermore, the restrooms were dirty. The service was okay.

There were two of us, the seasoned beef with a slice of cheese was cold, the knuckle of pork was okay, the cheese spaetzle came from a bag...we were forgotten and after 45 minutes and two requests, we got our main courses. The beer board was completely covered in sloes...we won't be back...

The waiter had a bit of a peculiar sense of humor, and it took quite a while, but the food was delicious. It was also nice to dance to. It's a cozy place with good food.

We went there for dinner with friends. It was a very cozy brewery with very friendly service. The food was delicious. The DJ started playing at 8 p.m. It was a very entertaining and lovely evening. We'd love to come back.

It's a comfortable place to sit and eat and drink something. We had schnitzel. It wasn't the best, but it was okay. The prices were okay. It's worth it once in a while. Nice service.

My Kasslerbraten was very tasty, beer is a matter of taste

We were here as a large group (11 people) on a Friday evening in August. I was really excited to see the brewery, as it looked really cool inside and out. Unfortunately, it wasn't that cool overall. Starting with the glasses: the three of us shared a bottle of wine and a glass of water. One of the wine glasses had a crack (not a big deal at first). So we ordered a new glass, but it arrived completely wet, as if it had just come out of the sink. The other glasses were also still stained and dirty, which wasn't great. I also think it's a shame that the drinks took a relatively long time to arrive at our table. I don't mean our first order, where 11 people ordered at the same time, but the subsequent individual orders. You can't blame it on the fact that it was full and understaffed. I also thought it was a shame that the waiter, who was just letting one of my friends pay, suddenly ignored me and preferred to talk to a colleague. For several minutes. They could have at least waited until their friend was finished paying... The food was okay, nothing completely terrible, but not outstanding either. Unfortunately, all the sauces were instant. A shame. The atmosphere was actually the best part; it was really cozy, but the restroom was a bit small (250 seats), with 2/3 squat toilets and 2/3 cubicles. I don't want to know how long you have to wait in line when the place is full. I wouldn't recommend coming here; there are much better restaurants in Wernigerode.

The service is very nice. The first evening the food was OK. The second evening I ordered a brewery hamburger which was completely overcooked. After I complained, I was told that it wasn't a hamburger shop. When I asked why they offered it on the menu, I got the answer that people want it that way. I didn't eat the hamburger because it was so dry that you couldn't eat it.

The schnitzel, unfortunately, wasn't a highlight; the breading and the meat seemed more like a better-quality frozen dish than freshly breaded. Which is fine, if the price is fair. The fried potatoes were good. Since the price is relatively low for a schnitzel, it's a place to fill yourself up, but nothing more. Our server, however, was very friendly, and the food and drinks arrived very quickly.

A very nice place, and it was very busy. The place has a large terrace where you can easily find a good spot in the sun or shade. Given the crowds and the large terrace, it was also a great terrace for the service. The food and drinks were good; we had a great time here in the city center.

We traveled from far away to enjoy all-you-can-eat ribs. The all-you-can-eat menu started at 6:00 p.m., and we arrived around 6:30 p.m. We placed our order and received our food around 7:10 p.m., which was quite surprising, considering it was "rib day." After we had finished the first, poorly presented portion and were ready to place our next order, we were completely ignored by the waitresses. Around 7:45 p.m., we asked for more. The answer was, "They're out of ribs." Conclusion: I was constantly lied to by the unfriendly waitress. It said everywhere: "While stocks last," which wasn't true. The internet and the noticeboards didn't mention this, as the waitress claimed. I pointed this out to him, and he became increasingly irrational. Of course, this isn't how all-you-can-eat works. That's what I call a "surplus sale." Never again!

The food was very mediocre (burgers) to abysmal (schnitzel with mushroom mash), and the prices weren't exactly cheap either. The service also deserves a rating of 4-5. We were advised against visiting the brewery beforehand; if only we had listened. It's a shame. We can only advise against it. Even one star is too much.

I'm from Wernigerode and ate at the Brauhaus for the first time in a long time! Unfortunately, the quality of the food is abysmal and completely overpriced for what you get. Of course, you always pay for the setting, which is really great, but offering a single potato with ready-made quark cream and some salad for €11.50 and then charging you €3.90 for cold, grated young Gouda cheese (not melted over it or presented in some other clever way) is absolutely disgusting. The service was okay, but it gets the complaints, which is a shame and of course, it also loses motivation! I won't be coming back for dinner unless the quality improves (then I'll pay the price).

We waited over 30 minutes for our food order to be taken, but no one came. So we left.

During our long weekend, we stumbled upon the Brauhaus while looking for a restaurant that served food before 4 p.m. In addition to many tables outside, there are also plenty of seats inside, which are well spaced apart so you can't steal your neighbor's plate ;) The menu offered a variety of hearty dishes, and we opted for a farmer's breakfast and a "Vienna-style" schnitzel with steakhouse fries. Since the menu only listed additives sporadically, I was given a folder upon request, but unfortunately, it didn't list things like flavor enhancers. In German restaurants/bars, etc., it's mandatory to declare these in detail. So I asked a server, who inquired in the kitchen. I wasn't entirely satisfied with the answer, but I ordered the schnitzel anyway. My husband was very happy with the farmer's breakfast and a salad plate, although I was very disappointed with the schnitzel. According to the server, the fries should only have been seasoned with salt, and the schnitzel with salt and pepper. But they weren't, as both still had paprika on them. The schnitzel was obviously cooked in fat that was too cold, because the rather sparse breading was soaked with fat. We went back that evening for a drink after 10:30 PM. The light "brewery beer" was very tasty. The same goes for the cocktails on offer. We tried the Tequila Sunrise, Sex on the Beach, and Pina Colada. All very good, and they definitely didn't skimp on the alcohol *hiccup* :D I was also able to get a precise answer to a technical question about the beer. The staff there are very polite, friendly, quick, and accommodating. I would definitely drink something there again, but not eat it. But everyone's tastes are different, and everyone can decide for themselves after eating there.

A gastronomic nightmare, served with blatant ignorance. What began as a simple evening with pretzels, cheese spread, and a little treat for your son ended in an unprecedented catastrophe. Your child's disappointment over the missing Kinder Surprise egg was just the unfortunate beginning. Instead of the promised surprise, there were four bags of gummy bears – a loveless, almost insulting substitute that already hinted at the restaurant's lack of care. But the real climax of the horror was your cheese spread. What you found on your plate wasn't fresh food, but a visually and tastefully questionable mass that immediately turned your stomach. The sheer audacity of serving such obviously spoiled food speaks volumes about this restaurant's understanding of hygiene and quality assurance. The reaction of the staff crowns this farce. Your matter-of-fact comment about the poor quality was dismissed with a curt "Okay, I'll let the kitchen know." Not a word of apology, not an offer to reduce the price, not even a small shot of liquor to calm your nerves. The complete indifference to your justified disgust and disappointment is sheer mockery. This story isn't a simple complaint, but a warning. It shows that this store seems to have completely lost its sense of proportion, hospitality, and basic respect for its customers. One can only hope that no one else falls victim to this appalling indifference.

I don't even know where to begin. For our visit (12 people on a Saturday evening), even one star is too many. A guest's menu was taken away while he was reading it because he had ordered. Sauce from a carton, unseasoned schnitzel and fries, a chaotic drink experience. Add to that an unkempt, dusty restaurant. If you can, stay away!

The food was okay, but we were served by an unfriendly waiter who was over 55. The most unfriendly and disrespectful person I could ever imagine. I don't need to put myself through that again.

Unfortunately, I can only give the service zero points. We entered the restaurant and looked for a free table ourselves; there were only free seats where they said "reserved." The staff politely looked past us. When we asked, a table number was thrown into the room, and a waiter wordlessly placed a stack of menus on one of the reserved tables, and we sat down. We were given the table under the stairs, which resembled a train station concourse. Someone in a bad mood took our order, and after a while, the drinks arrived, followed much later by the food. My spaetzle were lukewarm, and the fried potatoes were dark brown to black. We didn't see any service at our table for the rest of the evening. Our plates weren't cleared away, and no one cared about our empty glasses. We skipped dessert and got some delicious ice cream a few doors down. Conclusion: never experienced such poor service. We didn't feel welcome here.

The food was OK. Nice ambiance. The service was lacking. I was there with my family for a birthday dinner. After a quarter of an hour without a drink, the waitress asked if I wanted another drink. When I pointed out that I would have certainly said yes a quarter of an hour earlier, she looked dismayed. I then told her again that I had indeed been without a drink for a quarter of an hour. Instead of expressing regret, she turned around and left. I then paid and left with my family.

The food was far below average. The burger patty tasted terrible. The Obatzda (traditional German dumplings) was old and a solid lump, and the Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle) was beyond dry. The beer was tasty. The service was decent, but nothing more. We won't be returning to the brewery with its poor food.

I had the Leberkäse (meatloaf) with fried potatoes. My order was taken and delivered quickly. The food was delicious, and I was quite full. A bonus was that a street performer played music. Overall, it was a great and relaxing meal.
