I had a schnitzel (Thursdays = schnitzel day) unfortunately these only come with a filling side dish, you have to order salad or vegetables separately. But the shepherd's schnitzel was very tasty, only the sauce would have been great in a bowl, then the schnitzel wouldn't get soggy so quickly. Unfortunately, the duchess potatoes were quite crispy. The service was friendly and quick. The furnishings could do with a refresh, I know some breweries that are in better shape. Plus, it doesn't smell that great when you walk through the first door before entering the brewery. I was about to turn around again.

Surprisingly good restaurant in the center of Wernigerode (at Nicolaiplatz). Large selection of dishes, some with classics such as ribs, knuckle, burgers or schnitzel. Everything tasted excellent. The service was very friendly and had everything under control. Thank you

We had our Christmas party there at the beginning of December last year and I have to say they really went downhill. The staff was there but hardly understood you, the food was almost cold when it was at the table, some of the food was brought incorrectly and some of what was on the menu was no longer available. Unfortunately, you also noticed that it was ready to eat and not really fresh, based on the short waiting time, which is great but also suggests a lot. All in all, it's no longer a restaurant for my taste, which is a shame because I liked going there.

The brewery is not entirely convincing! The Brauhaus restaurant is located in the middle of Wernigerode city center. Rather inconspicuous from the outside, the restaurant extends over 3 floors. The atmosphere is rustic. There is even a sports bar on the last floor. The service was quick and friendly. Changes in food ordering were addressed. Unfortunately, the food itself wasn't quite what we expected. The fries were a little too greasy and the BBQ sauce on the ribs didn't taste completely fresh. However, the Brauhaus beer was very tasty. Almost all main courses are priced at over €20. Starters average 7-8€. The quality doesn't quite live up to that. Conclusion: You don't need to visit again to enjoy a delicious meal. However, if you want to enjoy sport with a tasty beer, the brewery is a good address.

Hello, the atmosphere is really nice. Unfortunately, the food and service weren't that good, the service was overwhelmed, drinks sometimes had to be ordered more often or were wrong. Schnitzel seemed fried and was reminiscent of ready-made schnitzel so it is not recommended for the price. Overall, unfortunately, not so good anymore.

Ambience quaint and beautiful. Food... well, ok. Service was also ok. To this location again? I don't think so. First there is the wrong drink, which of course can happen, then the wrong food and finally the wrong price when paying and then things get messy. There was a manageable number of guests

Great experience gastronomy: the covered old town courtyard with several levels. When we are in Wernigerode we like to come here regularly. At the beginning of the year something happened in the kitchen. New dishes and now even better. Delicious, hearty and inexpensive. The ambience, the food AND the price are right here. It's better to make a reservation - but the team sometimes makes spontaneous visits possible - if you're patient and friendly. It's a pleasure to be a guest here!

We were warmly welcomed and seated at the Wernigerode brewery. The drinks were barely taken before they were brought out. As a starter we chose spiced meat. This was really tasty in terms of taste but unfortunately it was only lukewarm. For the main course I had pork knuckle with sauerkraut and fried potatoes. The fried potatoes were very good as was the knuckle. Unfortunately, I didn't like the brown sauce on the knuckle. My partner had Champion Schnitze and was completely satisfied. The ribs were also very tender and the sauce that went with them was harmonious and delicious. The service staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Unfortunately, the brewery has fallen into disrepair. Food was cold and more reminiscent of ready-made food. For the prices you would expect more. However, the atmosphere is very nice and cozy.

Drinks sometimes had to be ordered 3 times before they came. After 55 minutes there was still no food at the table. The waitresses were completely overwhelmed. Absolutely not recommended.

Nice pub but the schnitzel with champions was unfortunately very weak, i.e. no taste of the schnitzel and mushrooms either. Too bad. But the service was great!

Nice ambience and nice service. Fast drink service. Good selection of food and drinks. The soup took a while, but the waiter tried hard. Excellent in taste. Unfortunately, the saucer was so hot at one point that my wife seriously burned her finger. Local plates that are so hot can actually not be in the interest of the safety of the waiters.

I was there with my husband and we said we would like to have dinner here. We were seated and our drink requests were taken care of quickly. I also had a question about food - the question was ignored, people turned around and laughed. The drinks came relatively quickly. We were ready to order our food immediately after the unanswered question, but unfortunately we have been ignored since then. Meanwhile, the people at the next table got their knuckle, ate it, got their dessert and ate it, paid and left. The waitress walked past us 7 times and didn't even respond when we raised her hands. I then went to the bar and paid. We then received exemplary service in the potato house!

Ambiance over several floors is really very nice. Unfortunately we eat deep fryer schnitzel. Fries 🍟 were very tasty.

Wir waren früher gerne hier. Gutes abwechslungsreiches Essen und verschiedene leckere Biete zum probieren auf einem Brettchen. Heute ist es eine unverschämt teure Imbissbude mit Standartbier. Was uns da geboten wurde ist das Letzte. Zwei mal Bsuernfrühstück, ein Schnitzel mit Champignons und Pommes dazu zwei Kola und ein Bierbrett, das ganze kostete gut 70,00€. Das Essen war geschmacklos, labbrig und warm, mehr gibt es dazu nicht zu sagen. Das Bier war naja. Nie wieder!!!!!

The taste of the schnitzel wasn't bad, thanks to a lot of flavor enhancers, but €23 for a very small frozen schnitzel is a complete outrage! But fries were good.

Just wanted to have a beer with three people today at 7 p.m. in the best weather, all the tables outside were already lined up, so let's go in - when asked if you could still sit outside, the answer was NO, but everything inside was full. We asked if there was no money to be made and we shrugged our shoulders - service ala GDR... Not recommended. Then we go to the Irish pub, sit outside and have fun.

Unfortunately the food was absolutely subpar! Frozen schnitzel and fries not cooked through! It took three (!) attempts at the next table to stop serving raw pork medallions! It's a shame, because the atmosphere is really quaint.

We ate at the brewery yesterday and were pleasantly surprised by the ambience. Unfortunately, you can't say anything about the food. The schnitzels were frozen food! And not acceptable for this price! I'm sure you can get the same schnitzels for less money in the neighboring entrance (döner kebab shop).

After a long time in the brewery again, no comparison to the previous visit. All dishes are TipTop (aspic, spiced meat and farmer's breakfast). Operation on point. Thank you very much and keep it up.

We went for dinner with colleagues on a Monday. On Mondays there are plenty of ribs. Was super tasty. Kudos to the kitchen. Gladly again.

Very tasty, very hearty. Everything is a bit cramped and quaint. Toilet on the 1st floor may not be for everyone.

This is always worth a visit. It was cozy. The staff was very helpful, friendly and competent. The food was enormous 😋 delicious.

It is certainly well known that a brewery does not have a 5-star kitchen. But mostly quite tasty cuisine. In my case I can now deny that. A schnitzel that could have come from a cobbler. Totally dry, extremely tough, would have been a good sole for mountain boots. Rather unsuitable for eating. Even offering something like that requires a certain level of audacity. For the sake of the brewery, I can only hope that something like this doesn't happen again, otherwise one day all the guests will stay away. I will definitely stay away!

Rather inconspicuous from the outside, it is quaint and rustic inside. Were there on “ribs all you can eat Monday” and what surprised me a bit was that it took a relatively long time for the first round to arrive. I thought you would be better prepared. However, the wait was worth it. The ribs were really tasty 😋 but the sour cream on the wedges should have been at least halved, that was way too much. The barbecue sauce was also really tasty 👍 there is still room for improvement in terms of the attentiveness of the service. Still, overall a nice evening.

We were there on a Friday afternoon and sat outside...the waitress took about 20 minutes to take our order and seemed pretty annoyed...

Not so sophisticated from the outside, but inside it is a brewery to recommend.

Unfortunately it's no longer a real brewery because there's no home-made beer there. Nevertheless, €4.80 for half a liter of Löwenbräu Oktoberfest beer is cheap for today. Food tastes good too.

The food was carelessly prepared. Since it was Bavarian weeks, we had pretzels with cheese cream. The cheese cream was older and hard, the pretzel wasn't fresh or at least freshly baked. The schnitzel was from the deep fryer and the mushrooms were not fresh. You could definitely ask for better for the price. It didn't convince me and I definitely won't recommend it.

You could say it's a classic of German cuisine. There were more locals than tourists in the place.

A traditional brewery with good service and very tasty food.

Unfortunately, the interior is getting a bit old. You should at least replace the somewhat greasy-looking fabric chairs. We tried roast venison. Unfortunately, the roast was far too salty and the savoy cabbage was lukewarm Service friendly.

Mr. Kutzner should change careers! Something so unfriendly... I also work as a waitress but I would never be so unfriendly. Simply inexperience!!! . I come several times a month and then I'm treated like this! Luckily the nice young woman was there and had room for me and my 3 dogs. She was obviously ashamed and sorry for this gentleman! This Mr. Kutzner is impossible.

Inconspicuous entrance - but a lot behind it We were there on Schnitzel Wednesday. After less than 20 minutes we had our food. Taste was okay. Portion size great! Service was very good and friendly. We recommend the brewery!

The menu includes all the usual classics that you can find in breweries. The spare ribs are my favorite. Pleasant pub atmosphere and nice staff. Prices not cheap but OK.

This is the best meal I have ever had in Germany. The main meal and dessert are both delicious.

The burger for 21.90 euros is very proud in price. It wasn't even tasty. The waitresses were very attentive to this.

Das Essen war lecker, wir waren sehr zufrieden. Die Portionen sind groß. Bier von Fass war auch sehr gut und mild. Sehr lekere und saftige Schweinshaxe.

The two of us ate there. The waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed, which he then tried to make up for with his cool demeanor. We had Leberkäse with egg and Leberkäse burger. Both meals were almost cold. The egg was already a bit wrinkled and then I had cranberries stuck under the plate, which were spread all over the table when I pushed it up. No one asked how or if it tasted, I think the waiter didn't want to know the answer.

We ate there and our little dog was also very welcome. We had the Brockenschnitzel (baked with spiced meat and cheese) and the Harz game goulash. Both were very filling and very tasty. The restaurant is really recommended. The price-performance ratio is definitely right.

That was a very special experience. We enter the restaurant - no one from the service pays any attention to us. We go a little further in and look around for a free table - almost all of them are free and there is no reservation feature. Suddenly an employee comes and shouts loudly at us: What are you looking for here? I reply politely: A table for two people. Answer - and at the same time walking away: You can look for a long time. We immediately decided to eat somewhere else. I “thanked” the employee for the cheeky greeting and the terrible service and expressed appreciation for his professional quality, friendliness and warmth of heart. Here she is. Never again. This restaurant is not recommended.

The beer is really tasty. But the service is just terrible. The waitress of Indian origin is completely unable to advise on beer and behaves very rudely. She also has very dirty hands and nails.

Unfortunately, that's what it tasted like. The meat was super dry and tough. It's nice to have a beer there, but I can only advise against eating.

Nice restaurant in the old town of Wernigerode. Food is good. Plenty of choice of drinks available. Gladly again at any time.

Unfortunately I find it difficult to give a negative review. But the food was maximum snack quality. We were there at lunchtime to have something to drink. I thought 1 beer 0.5 l 4.80 was ok. We then reserved a table for the evening. After I paid 5.10 euros for 0.5l of water I was finally served.

Would I sit outside again on a weekend in the heat? No, it's too loud for me. Almost all of the parasols have holes and tears. The service was friendly and quick, but unfortunately cutlery was only given with the meal after I asked. And the food, well, my steakhouse fries were way too salty. Others would definitely have returned the plate. My brother's farmer's breakfast, on the other hand, wasn't seasoned at all and the potatoes weren't cooked properly in places. My mother's potato soup was too peppery for her. Okay, tastes are different, but for the price of each meal I just expect perfection, which was unfortunately missing here.

We were unsure at first because of some of the very critical reviews. We were pleasantly surprised. Exactly how you imagine a brewery to be. Delicious food and good beer. Gimmick - table with its own beer tap (you have to reserve in advance)

The burgers and pork fillet were very good and served super quickly. The beer and service were good too. Everything is as you would expect from a visit to a brewery.

We were here for a birthday party on a Saturday. It was very warm inside, but there were fans everywhere, which made it more bearable. The food was good. At late hours the service has slowed down a bit. There was music from the DJ. We danced a lot. All in all good, gladly again.

Went there once today and unfortunately I have to say it wasn't very good. We had Champion Rahmschnitzel which really wasn't good for my taste. I couldn't really tell from the taste whether it was pork or chicken... after 3 bites I put it on my husband's plate. So sorry for the price of a frozen schnitzel for me, although the waiter assured me that it wasn't a frozen schnitzel. For me, sorry, it was a snack schnitzel that was prepared quickly. After I said I didn't like it, I was offered a schnapps/coffee on the house. Ultimately you have to decide for yourself, but I personally won't go there again, whether it's busy or not but the cuisine should be right for the price.

We actually just wanted to drink something here, but my son was hungry. So a schnitzel was ordered, even though I knew the reviews. And unfortunately I can only agree with them. The schnitzel definitely didn't score, he didn't even eat it. So unfortunately not a recommendation, but the service was quick and friendly.

We are currently on holiday here and had something to eat here while strolling around town. Can't understand some of the bad reviews. Home cooking. Food was good according to the standard of the restaurant. Potato soup delicious. The fried chicken breast with beer sauce and the schnitzel with mushroom sauce as well. Beer and cola fresh and cold as it should be. Very good service. Very nice staff. The owner of the shop can consider himself lucky. I'm happy to tip 5 euros! Toilets were also 1a clean! It's expensive everywhere now, which is why this price-performance comparison no longer works.

We spontaneously went to eat in the brewery in the old town of Wernigerode. The ambience with the elements of beer brewing is very nice. The beer was tasty, the food was okay. Since it was very crowded, it was also loud.

We strolled into the brewery without a reservation, were warmly greeted and shown to a table, unfortunately that's the only positive thing I can mention. When I opened the menu, I immediately noticed all the mold stains on the individual pages. If they urgently need to be replaced, it's not rocket science and it's a flagship for a restaurant. Regarding food: if you pay an extra €2 for a knuckle so that it is baked to get a crispy rind and you end up with something limp, that's not possible. The majority of the dishes are convenience foods, which in principle doesn't have to be a bad thing if they are well prepared or refined, but unfortunately wasn't the case. Even the herb quark tasted 1 to 1 like the one from the refrigerated shelf. The vegetables from the salad (cucumber, tomato) were totally dry, uncovered and uncooled and left standing for several hours. The beer was a bit too warm, my water was OK but not good. I wouldn't recommend the brewery, the price-performance ratio is absolutely not right and you can eat and drink much better in Wernigerode.

Hello, we had schnitzel today. It was a failure, it was greasy and it had been in the fat. Everything happened much too quickly for schnitzel to be served just frozen food. Never again!!! Unfortunately you have to give stars.
