Delicious food! The portions were just right for me (I can't eat much)! The service was friendly, and even though we hadn't made a reservation (it was Saturday), we didn't have to wait long for a table! All in all, a perfect evening! One small downside: you shouldn't kiss after eating the garlic bread! It was very tasty!

The Smashburger was very good, and all our special requests were accommodated. The cheese fries were a bit too spicy in my opinion, and the presentation of the burgers could perhaps be improved. They looked a bit lonely on the plate. The service was very fast and friendly. I also really liked the ambiance; it was appropriately decorated, and the volume control was comfortable. Definitely recommended, but I wouldn't go during peak times.

Good American style burgers in Wernigerode!

Unfortunately, the Mampfy has declined considerably (in terms of taste, ambiance, and the condition of the restaurant). I don't understand why so many customers are turned away with the excuse that everything is full/reserved/guests will be right away, even though there were only two tables occupied. While we were there, no other guests came. The carelessly prepared burgers didn't impress us (anymore). There was no espresso, and the coffee machine was broken. The staff seemed overwhelmed, insisting on bringing the drinks first and then taking the food order.

Been there once and unfortunately never again. It looks really great from the outside and from the website. But... We were greeted at the counter, our table was shown to us from a distance, and our menus were handed to us. Then we waited exactly 28!!! minutes until someone showed up. The food arrived within 15 minutes, which is fine. The portion, however... small burger and fries were extra. The burger tasted okay, but I didn't have a wow moment. The highlight was the one all the way to the 00. A soggy base... The staff was friendly but completely overwhelmed. Unfortunately, I'd rather eat somewhere else next time. Too bad.

After all the restaurants we asked at were completely overwhelmed, including Löwenbräu, where we stayed overnight, we spontaneously ended up there. We sat comfortably outside, it was quiet, and thankfully I didn't have to drink Hasseröder. There was nothing to complain about with the food—everything was as expected from a burger restaurant, and the staff were visibly attentive and friendly.

The ribs were an absolute dream. They fell easily from the meat and were perfectly seasoned. The service was impeccable, friendly, and attentive.

I ate here on a Saturday evening (at 6 p.m.) and was unfortunately less than impressed. Although the place was only about half full, the service (two servers) was clearly overwhelmed. I also had to wait almost an hour for my meal (burger plus sweet potato fries). The burger was good, but quite expensive and nothing particularly special. The sweet potato fries were, unfortunately, practically burnt and could be described more as miniature briquettes. They tasted like that, too. You shouldn't really be serving something like that. At least the beer was tasty, and the beer garden itself is quite nice. What a shame.

Unfortunately, it's not as good as it used to be. The menu is much thinner compared to previous years. The menus (clipboard) themselves were a bit dirty in places. The food was good, but not outstanding. You get the impression that they rely heavily on convenience food. Coleslaw, aioli, etc., were definitely not homemade. The ribs were a bit dry, and in some cases, the silver skin wasn't removed. It's a shame that you have to order and pay for fries with the burgers separately. It's okay for fancy fries, but standard fries should be included. So, reconsider the price-performance ratio. The service was very friendly. Even though he had to run the entire business on his own—drinks, serving, and cashing—he was very, very friendly. It all took a while, but that was due to the staffing situation. So, with a few adjustments, Mampfy will definitely become a recommendable restaurant again. Unfortunately, it's only average at the moment.

I have no idea where the good reviews come from, or maybe we just had a bad day. We've rarely had a meal made with so little love. The SmashBurger was completely dry and just thrown onto the plate, the cheese on the ChiliCheeseBurger (if you could call it that) looked like a rubber sole, and I'd rather not write anything about the taste. In fact, I've never had such a bad burger.

We arrived at 9 p.m. and drove a long way specifically because of the good reviews. Unfortunately, the store wasn't open until 10 p.m. as advertised, and we found the doors locked. That was very annoying. There was no explanation or anything similar posted on the door. What a shame.

One star is already a lot. We went here today by chance because the restrooms smelled, and the food wasn't good either. The schnitzel was so thin that it felt like you'd only eaten the breaded stuff. There was hardly any meat. The food came very quickly. The plates were very hot; I think they just reheated it. The shandy didn't taste like shandy. Now I understand the negative reviews ✌️

Went there for dinner. I had the pulled pork burger, which was unfortunately too juicy to eat by hand, and the toppings weren't particularly good either. It came with sweet potato fries, which were okay. For my drink, I chose Alster, which for some inexplicable reason didn't taste like Alster. A slight hint of vanilla... the rest was indefinable. Ketchup and mayonnaise were served with the cutlery on the table. With over 30 degrees outside and 25 degrees inside, that might not have been a good idea. Service was good 👍 The atmosphere was okay, but there were a lot of flies on the window, which didn't make the whole thing seem so great.

Nice burger restaurant. Unfortunately, some of the items listed on the menu were unavailable. The burgers and ribs (a little sauce would have been great) were good but not exceptional. The Caesar salad was excellent. The Gunner beer was the best I've had in a very long time. The service was warm, attentive, and very good. We felt at home here.

When I saw we were the second table in the entire restaurant, I spoke up and was told that all the tables would be taken in half an hour. Service was impossibly bad. Hebt sich von der durchschnittlichen Gastronomie in Wernigerode etwas ab. Cooles Ambiente. Burger sehr gut, Spare Rips top....zart und würzig mit einer guten BBQ Sauce. Die Fritten hätten etwas knuspriger sein können, aber trotzdem five Points.

Wir treffen uns regelmäßig hier, um Abends zu klönen. Essen ist gut, Bedienung freundlich und es gibt leckere Biere. Kommen gerne wieder .

Were here today for the first and last time. Can't confirm the many positive reviews. After we ordered spare ribs with fries, our food was there after just 15 minutes - fresh is different. The spare ribs weren't great in terms of taste and were greasy, the same goes for the fries. The food was absolutely not worth the money.

Fast, nice service, pleasant atmosphere, there could have been more BBQ sauce on the fries and pulled pork! Prices are good😊

There were 4 of us, we had reservations - everything was great. Burgers were super tasty, sweet potato fries were crunchy <3, and normal fries with chilli cheese were recommended. In terms of price it was absolutely reasonable for me. There was enough time and the food came very quickly. The waitresses were super friendly and accommodating. All in all, a very nicely rounded evening.

We personally reserved a table for the following Monday on Saturday when we couldn't get a seat. When we arrived at the restaurant at 6 p.m. on Monday, it was closed! According to the website, the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Since the restaurant's opening hours weren't posted on the outside, we had no way of knowing on Saturday that it wasn't open on Mondays. That's simply unacceptable! The waitress should have told us on Saturday that it was closed on Mondays. Terrible service!

Great BBQ restaurant! Large selection, large portions, super delicious food! American taste! 😉 The staff are very kind and hard-working, everything runs smoothly and you can look forward to a nice stay, we have been there several times and will definitely come back. Somewhat away from the hustle and bustle of the town center you will find the rustic restaurant “Mampfy”, which serves a variety of burgers and schnitzels. Despite the peak winter season between Christmas and New Year 2024, only three tables were occupied. Most of the restaurant was even closed and darkened. The furnishings are a bit old, but still inviting with a touch of coziness. The service was very friendly, attentive and drinks and food arrived after a pleasant wait. In terms of taste, it wasn't a highlight or anything out of the ordinary that would be worth mentioning, but it was ok. But unfortunately nothing more. However, I have to say a very big “but” for the portion size. Unfortunately, this is nothing to fill you up with. It's just the price that really fills you up. In my opinion, things are going overboard here. The price/performance ratio simply doesn't fit here. I have a lot of sympathy for holiday destinations with tourist taxes and also the stress at times of the season (which, however, was not present here), but I rarely felt “not full”. Unfortunately, I can't give a real recommendation.

Tucked away on a side street and just outside the core you will find this gem for burger lovers. The furnishings give a cozy impression. The service is nice and attentive. Drinks were served quickly. The taste of the food was completely convincing. Paying the bill was also quick. It wasn't the last time we were there.

Service super friendly/sympathetic. Food was amazing. Hamburgers and ribs are a dream. For me it would have fewer fries and more ribs. So delicate and soft. So that the flesh fell off the bones. Very tasty, we spontaneously went to Mampfy and got a nice table. The restaurant is very well maintained and it is definitely nice to sit outside in the summer. As for the vibe, I would describe it as a sports bar. The burgers were very tasty and it was pretty quick.

At first glance the prices were very pleasing. The burgers themselves were quite small. In order to really fill you up, you actually have to order a side dish. If you then take another drink, you're already over €20. That's why there is one star less here. Overall, we really enjoyed the food. Unfortunately our meat patties were a bit too dark.

On the second visit it was in the evening and more crowded, the service was different, which was OK but not as on the ball and friendly as the first. My wife's dish was the same (the Vegan Burger) and this time it was completely different. Patty was still quite wet and mushy. Apparently the more guests there are, the faster the food cooks. My steak of the day was bad. So the meat itself was good, but the cooking point was seriously missed. Ordered medium rare and received well done, but the chef can't help it because you only get a 1cm slice of meat. The rustic fries were very good, the cheesy fries were medium. The cheesecake wasn't to our taste, but that depends on your palate. In short, the second visit was more like a standard burger shop. Unfortunately, because it was such an experience the first time.

The fried chicken burger was also simply amazing. The meat was so juicy and flavorful. The brownie dessert with a scoop of ice cream sounds simple, but it was unbeatable compared to other restaurants. I would particularly like to emphasize the extremely friendly and open-minded service. Service is very important here. Please keep it up. I can only warmly recommend you. And if we are drawn to the area again, we would be happy to come back. ♥️
