Very friendly staff was again a very pleasant one

The Waldblickschenke is located in a slightly secluded location, far away from the hustle and bustle, next to a rifle lodge. The size of the interior is manageable, so the distances are short 😜 The landlady has a sense of humor that you should first get to know... I took my time and gave her the time. In the end everything was fine. 😊 The actual highlight was, in addition to a really very good Cordon Bleu 😋 (really top in terms of ingredients and taste), the small side salad. So delicious that a second one was ordered. It was a good decision to try something new. Will definitely come back.

The food was delicious and the service impeccable. The staff were cheerful and made you feel welcome. They even came by every now and then to check if everything was okay. A very pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend it. They even brought water for our dog right away.

A restaurant in the most beautiful place in Saarbrücken. Enjoy the sun outdoors under shady trees with friendly service and good food. For our group, Sara is often a sunshine 🤙, always friendly, always helpful, but also the other waitresses - just a good atmosphere. A feel-good atmosphere that we can enjoy once a week.

Super nice little pub with a nice atmosphere and very friendly staff.

We waited forever for our food, even though 3 people were working on our food in the meantime. In the middle of it all, one of them started making a phone call. The owner looks very greasy, so you might think he shouldn't have anything to do with food. The menu doesn't say what's in a sandwich, so I was quite shocked to see that my steak sandwich had more mushrooms than meat and I absolutely hate mushrooms. Bread was somehow soft, there was no salad or anything like that

It is a small but very cozy pub that makes you feel good. The landlady is very friendly and always in a good mood.

Four of us went to the Kartoffel for dinner. The quality and taste were very good! However, the quantity of food served was insufficient! When the dishes were cleared, we were asked about our impressions of the food, and we replied that the quality was very good, but unfortunately a little bit small! We were then told that they also have a gourmet block, where the food is a little less expensive! But I paid full price for the second meal, so it's absurd to cut costs on the amount of food. The restaurant should try to attract new customers with the gourmet block; they squandered that opportunity with us. We will report these schemes to our friends and advise everyone not to visit.

After numerous visits to the restaurant, I decided not to be a guest here anymore. Over time there has been a significant decline in quality. In my experience, it only works there if there are few guests and you are lucky with the staff. Then the service is good and the food is good. As soon as there is a little more activity (and I'm not talking about a fully occupied restaurant) you seem overwhelmed. During my last visit, a maximum of around 30% of the tables in the restaurant were occupied. We were the largest group in the restaurant that evening and there were ten orders for main courses at our table. It took over an hour between serving the first dish and the last dish! In addition, in one dish the meat was only lukewarm and in another the degree of doneness was well done instead of medium. Fittingly, during this time the service never once found its way to our table to check on the drinks. The question remains whether you are actually overwhelmed with such a small number of visitors, or whether you don't want to have guests from outside (non-hotel) and let them feel it. The behavior of the head waiter would also fit in with the latter, brushing off criticism with a slight French accent and poisonous arrogance. This is how you lose regular guests.
